Chapter Text
Reaching out a hand, he traced circles around his lover's back, in an attempt to soothe him.
'Don't cry my love, it is not worth your time,' he cooed, voice laced with honey.
'How could y-you say that, a-after all you…werent here, how can I believe you anymore,' his lover spat back.
He watched as tears raced down his cheeks, lifting his hand to cup his soaked cheek, silently wishing he could have been there, but he wasn't.
He never was.
Now it was too late and he had left with no more words to say. No jokes, no nicknames, no flirty remarks, no nothing.
Nothing.
Perhaps that was all they had, some stupid spark and nothing else. Clearly a victim of Lady Luck's temper.
Perhaps they once had everything. Everything.
A sanctuary. A refuge. Somewhere safe away from the dangers of reality.
Now it was all gone. Gone. Vanished. Destroyed.
'I'm sorry, you didn't deserve it,' he whispered into his ear, but he wasn't there. He wished he was, all the time, wanting him back, however there wasn't another chance.
Now he stood. He stood looking at the unkept grass, still thriving even with no caretaker, skimming the area with at least a hundred lines of tombstones. Some had formed cracks, differently aged whilst others were decorated with bouquets of flowers, llaying there untouched, even whilst they were wilting, they stayed.
They stayed.
And he should've too.
His eyes flickered to a singular grave, mouth forming a grimace as he took in the damage he had caused.
Although he was not able to stay with him for long, he can still remember, still recall him vividly.
His face was soft, emitting a gentle glow, eyes shining with the radiance of a star, more beautiful than he himself could ever be.
His eyelids fluttered before opening completely, shirt stained with sweat whilst his face had the remains of tears that hadn't
It was all a dream he thought.
Quite a vivid one, quickly passing by in a blur. He surveyed the room, examining the situation, letting out a breath he didn't know he was holding, remembering how he could only watch as it all played out.
