New Opportunity Data Book

Summary:

This is the New Opportunity Data Book. I’ll put characters, their quirks, some notes, and anything else I find interesting. I’ll also explain some stuff that might not be explained in the chapters, but I’ll try and find a way to hide that so you won’t be spoiled for chapters you haven’t read yet. Ill split the chapters by people, quirks, and world building in no particular order. P.S. I will be writing this like it is a notebook made by Yoichi

Notes:

Hello, this is property of Yoichi Shigaraki, I have placed my findings of interesting quirks, people, groups here. If you find this, please return to *****. If you stole this, please give it back this has no value in it.

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

(Author speaking, I’m going to be placing quirk idea I have here, make it seem like he’s doing stuff outside the story when time passes or when with other characters.)

Chapter Text

Quirk Data Base

Classes

Danger class - How much damage this quirk can cause with 1 being none to barely scratching the skin and 10 being destroying large cities and causing natural disasters

Defense class - How much it can mitigate damage with 1 being none to barely being able to defend against a paper cut and 10 being surviving a mountain falling on you or even being able to survive insta-kills

Utility class - How much this quirk helps outside of combat with 1 being none and 10 being your are a living Swiss Army knife

Key details

- If there is a decimal point, the first number is towards the user, while the second is for others I.e. 4.7 means that it’s very strong but can hurt the user I.e. FLAME BREATHE can slowly burn the users throat if over used

If a squiggly line then that means it’s conditional i.e. 1~5 means normally it’s defense is minimal but under certain conditions it pretty defensive I.e. Someone quirk makes them tougher at night, so during the day, they’re normal human.

Is there is a straight line then that means it’s between two numbers I.e. 5-6 means between those numbers (doesn’t not mean 5.5, just that it’s kinda slides around inside of those numbers) is were it is. Think of it being more to do with the skill of the user I.e. Shigaraki doesn’t need to train in order disintegrate someone, but Gran Torino’s JET would not be as effective if used by someone who is lazy and doesn’t train.

If a quirk is named inside of another quirks summary (like a comparison), it will be in ALL CAPS

Whatever type of quirk comes first in a hybrid, it will be more of that type than the other I.e. Mutant Emitter hybrid is more mutant than emitter.

Quirks

Flame Breathe - Flame Breathe is a Danger class 2.3, Defense class 3~1, Utility class 3-4. Type: Mutant Emitter hybrid. It’s turns the mucus inside the body incredibly fire resistant, explaining why I don’t just burst into flames at every use. My body has also gains a pouch near the base of the neck that contains the methane produced by me (This means the I no longer fart! Very strange). This pouch has several chambers that hold the methane and when I need to use the quirk, the pouch opens up and releases the methane. This does mean that I could theoretically run out of gas, but the heat would melt my throat before that ever happened. My skin is flame resistant, but not as much as the inside, and the flame resistance only really starts near the mouth and the further from the mouth a body part is, the less resistant it will be I.e. the mouth is almost flame proof, but the feet could get an uncomfortable feeling on hot concrete.

Flame Control - Flame Control is a Danger class 4~1, Defense class 3-1, Utility class 1~5. Type: Emitter Mutant hybrid. The movements of my body are able to control flames, but when trying to do so, it becomes much harder to move and gives cramps after use. This is because when controlling the flames, the muscles absorb some of the heat and use that as energy to not tire itself out. There is flame resistance, but not to the degree of FLAME BREATHE, it is most resistant at the body parts that move the most, like hands, feet’s, and hips. But this resistance lowers with body parts that rarely move, such as the top of the head and ears.

Out of Sight - Out of Sight is a Danger class 1, Defense class 1, Utility class 5. Type: Emitter Mutant hybrid. This teleportation quirk is amazing for fights, but not the best for everyday use. Once the target is within 100 feet and in sight, the user can teleport behind the target within a 30-5 foot radius. They take along whatever they have touching their skin, as long as it’s not too heavy, the weight limit is 200 pounds. If overused, will cause major headaches, if continued overuse, can cause brain damage and even send the user into a coma.
