Chapter Text
Raphaella and Marius are pissed. First Ivy shoots them to drag them back to the ship and tells them when they revive hours later that they aren't going back for Lyf because probability was too low and she's not risking the crew again. Then Jonny wants to make Lyf’s story an album. They both say yes on 3 conditions 1. it’s told accurately no changes 2. It’s so they can remember Lyf 3. They get the first pick of characters and they can play themselves as well. Last, Jonny has completely butchered Lyf’s accent to the point where it barely sounds like them. (That makes performing the album so much harder)
See Marius have Raphaella have always been close. As two immortals who found each other by chance understanding each other’s struggles until they ended up finding the crew. Even after they remained close. Especially when they both caught feelings for the cute but grumpy inspector they would gush about them with each other. And when they had to leave Yggdrasil. Leaving Lyf they were each other's comfort talking about what they liked about them. The two ended up dating after a bit of this and unearthing repressed feelings through talking about what they wouldn't say because they didn't want to say as they didn't want to lose each other. (the two did the will they won't they dance for centuries and Ashes would have ended up owing Nastya several gold bars had she been there) A while after they started dating the two would talk about what it would mean for there relationship if Lyf was still alive and liked both of them. They wouldn't mind having Lyf as a partner as well as each other was the answer
But now almost 20 years after the destruction of Yggdrasil or what the crew was calling Ragnorok. The crew are currently hanging out and causing chaos in the Penumbra system which has a few planets Dusk where Ashes, Tim and Jonny were returning to their Mafia boss and badass partners act. Athenaeum which was literally a library so where Ivy was. Juno where TS and Brian were doing something, and finally Paramore which is where Raphaella and Marius were hanging out because they couldn’t deal with the rest of the crew any more besides each other.
In the past 20 years Lyf has changed a lot from their appearance to their company. They just barely got out of Yggdrasil in time so they barely grabbed anything other than a few outfits, a binder of family photos, two books, a notebook, some of the contraband from the prisoners (two of which they liked but felt betrayed by because those two could have told them) a quilt made by their mothers and their cat Astrid who they would never leave on any planet. But with all they could carry they charted a ship and left feeling guilty.
about 7 years later (but does time actually exist in deep space)
Lyf and Astrid are immortal; this is not really a shock Lyf was exposed to the bifrost from the black box and as they usually brought their work home so was Astrid. They both have changed a bit both of their wings are now black with shifting with colors that makes the wings look like an oil spill, Lyf's hair once a long chestnut brown is now long and colored with the shimmering hues of the bifrost the same thing with sections of Astrid's fur, Lyf's eyes have changed from a soft blue to a pure silver with a ring of shifting colors that you can see when light shines on them and their tail now ends in what could best be be described as cosmic space.
But one day, dissociating at the window of the ship while fiddling with their family ring they see a woman clinging to a piece of sheet metal. Begrudgingly they put Astrid in their quarters put on a space suit (because they don't feel like dying today thank you very much) and go try to save the women

When Nastya came to she was in a unfamiliar cot in the middle of an unfamiliar bridge on a unfamiliar ship
"Oh good you awake" said a voice that sounded like a bad impression of Jonny her brother "Are you ok that seemed like a good attempt" so thats not Jonny
"I'm definitely not ok I haven't been ok for millennia" Nastya responded
"Well I've only been immortal for about seven years and I'm not ok at all" The Baby Immortal responded
"Rainbow what's your name otherwise I'm going to call you Baby Immortal or Rainbow" Nastya snarked back
"Oh yeah I should tell you my name, Lyfrassir Edda They/Them former Inspector 2nd Class and as far as I know the last Yggdrasilian you"
"Nastya Rasputina She/Her Ex-Engineer of the Aurora last Cyberian"
"Why do I know the name Aurora....wait do you know a Marius von Raum, a Raphaella la Cognizi, or an Ivy Alexandria"
Nastya pauses how does this stranger know the names of three of her crewmates “Um yeah they were my crewmates before I left” quickly adding “How do you know them?”
Lyfrassir says "I was in charge of them while they were in prison in Midgard about seven years ago, Marius kept pulling violins out of nowhere, Raphaella kept somehow creating chemical compositions, Ivy was usually calm if I gave her books. All three wound always have contraband on them I think the box of there safest contraband is over there "
"Yeah that sounds like your lucky Jonny or Ashes weren’t in that cell. How much PTSD do you have about violins because i see one of Marius's and I want to see how good I still am" Nastya remarked
"Not much I actually wanted to learn as it’s close to a cello" Lyfrassir wistfully claimed
"I can teach you as I literally have nothing to do if you let me stay" Nastya notes
"You can stay for as long a you want the ship has enough room for four people to have their own quarters and it will be nice to have another person around as long as you fine with Astrid" remarks Lyfrassir
"Astrid?" Nastya questions
"My cat who was with me when I left. She's also eldritch and immortal" Lyfrassir answers
"Ah I think the three of us will get along well"

For the next 13 years Lyf and Nastya become very, very close. Nastya is like a chaotic older sister for Lyf. Lyf is like a less chaotic version of Jonny but still a younger sibling. Either way they’re still as close. Hell about a year and a half in Lyf let Nastya braid their hair which was a very important thing in the formerly existing Yggrdrasil System only reserved for family, close friends, and lovers. (Also Lyf is called Lyfrassir no nicknames on their name by Nastya still called Rainbow sometimes)
Throughout the 13 years Lyf has got a new cello. Learned how to play the violin. Gotten a few new tattoos besides the ones they had on Midgard. (One of the ones from Midgard is on their shoulder covering a scar and a knot on their wrist) the new tattoos on their arm commemorate their family. They also got some for Raphaella, Marius, Ivy and Nastya. Once they convinced Nastya to get a tattoo with them so they both have matching ones of Astrid. They got new piercings that work well with their pointy ears, they had a double before, now they also have an industrial, two helix piercings on the opposite ear and a nostril one. An entirely new sense of style. (It’s very pirate what were they expecting with Nastya helping?) and an entire realization of having feelings for both Marius and Raphaella.
Which is why they now wear necklaces given from both of them that they put in the contraband box. The one from Raphaella is a median length one with a small ornate dagger charm with small carving writing on the back they can't read (in the 13 years they added a small Beaker/Flask charm on one side and a small violin charm on the other for Raphaella and Marius respectively). The one from Marius is a beaded choker with the planets of Yggrdrasil as larger glass beads and a few stars and moons in between.
Now they aren't trying to find the crew that's something both Nastya and Lyf have agreed on but if they ever do she's going to make up with the Aurora (Lyf explained the ship of theseus thought experiment Nastya realized she was a hypocrite) and Lyf is going to try to pursue Marius and Raphaella. Nastya has gone through the box separating out shiny objects and jewelry asking who gave what as giving shiny objects to try to court people is a part of Raphaella's culture and jewelry is how you court people in Marius's she explains as she does this. She had also offered to give each of them a shovel talk. But they both seem like they were interested at one point but it's been 20 years. Now Nastya, Lyf, and Astrid are on the way to the Penumbra System to the planet Paramore.

I thought a bit of bird Raph was needed here i do legitimately think Raphaella her self has small bit of bird aspects
my next update will be a bit more interaction and maybe reunions but i needed to set the scene

Chapter 2: Meetings in the Marketplace

It's been 20 years since Yggdrasil, 20 years since they to leave Lyf behind. Marius and Raphaelle are on the planet Paramour in the Penumbra system. So far they've murdered the owner of a big house and have been living there For a bit but now they need food because they can technically survive without it but it’s not a good idea. So they go to the local market. On the way there Marius realizes that it is the 20 year anniversary of the loss of their shared love. He tells this to Raphaella and she says "let’s get a Juliet rose at the market they would have liked that”
At the market Raphaella found the perfect rose. She shows it to her boyfriend to which she gets a kiss on the check. In the distance there's a gasp and a “Lets go Rainbow” in a familiar voice to which she turns with Marius and sees Nastya?
Lyf is tired but they need to get themself, Nastya, and Astrid food, water, and a place to stay. Because they preferably don’t want to stay on the ship again. So while walking through the town is the last thing they want to do, it's necessary.
Over the past few years Lyf has given up a bit of hope of seeing Raphaella and Marius again. Which is why they end up gasping when they see Marius’s stupid spiked hat and Raphaella’s wings around Marius while in the crowd. They freeze overcome with emotions.
Nastya has not seen Marius or Raphaella. Given she’s even more tired than Lyf is as she had to pilot the ship. As that’s a rule while you’re in most Systems. (The two don’t want to find out which type of system it is) But she does notice when Lyf pauses looks to where their looking a says “Lets go Rainbow”
Raphaella and Marius turn around. Nastya has noticed that Marius is under one of Raphaella’s wings and that their holding hands making a gesture at the two she exclaims “Have you to finally figured out your will the won’t they dance if so I believe Ashes owes me a few gold bars''

Well that’s definitely Nastya, her appearance has only changed a bit. With her long brown hair still being a blue color at the end. But now she has a crown braid around her head.
But who is the person next to her? The one with a cat carrier? They look vaguely familiar but they don’t know why. Almost as to answer the question they had Nastya elbows the person in the ribs and says “Rainbow do you want to tell them who you are or do you actually want them to stare at you confused”
And a voice that they haven’t heard in 20 years besides bad impressions says “Come on Nas it’s funnier to keep them guessing but honestly systur. I’m actually waiting for von Raum to start that damn song after pulling a violin out of nowhere” Lyf is still alive and didn’t die in Yggdrasil.
They run straight up Nastya and Lyf and hug the two

After the hug Raphaella and Marius step back to take in Lyf's appearance. They have changed a lot to the point where neither of them recognized Lyf and they never want that to happen again.
Lyf's hair was once a mid-back length chestnut brown is now a long mid thigh length and colored rainbow with the shimmering hues of the bifrost but still just as intricately braided. The deep blue eyes that both loved are now pure silver with a ring of shifting colors. Their previous white wings are now black with shifting colors that make the wings look like an oil spill. And their tail now ends in cosmic space. Both are sad at how much of them has been changed by the bifrost but are happy they are still alive.
It’s not their physical features that has changed the most since Midgard no that goes to their style of dress
They are currently wearing a white pirate blouse that has a bit of lace up in the front, the sleeves cinch at the elbow and then go loose and the sleeves are relatively see-through showing off more tattoos than they had before. Their bottoms is a flowy star skirt about the ankles. Shoes are very fancy brown heeled boots that have buckles all up them. Over the shirt is a waistcoat with star patterns that form constellations. And their pointed ears have more jewelry strung off of them. They fit the mechs aesthetic completely now. But their necklaces are something that Marius and Raphaella recognize as the ones they gave to Lyf on Midgard. Although Raphaella’s has been altered a bit as it now has a beaker charm and a violin charm.
Now that they know it’s Lyf. It’s a wonder that Marius and Raphaella actually recognized them only from their voices as everything else about them has basically changed. (It also makes sense why Nastya calls them Rainbow but anyway)

The group ends up getting drinks to catch up. Lyf is so excited to see Marius and Raphaella again they missed them so much. And catching up with them was fun. To say they were surprised that Lyf now plays violin as well as cello, has gotten more tattoos and piercings, that they along with their cat are now eldritch and immortal, that they accidentally found Nastya out in space about 13 years ago and that Lyf and Nastya have now adopted each other as siblings is an understatement but it happened. Lyf through information from Marius and Raphaella has decided to punch both Jonny because he’s the reason why their trauma was made into a musical and Ivy because she shot Raphaella and Marius.
When leaving the bar where they got their drinks Nastya asked Marius and Raphaella if they could stay with them while they were on the planet. That’s because they ended up catching up for hours and it was dark when they left the bar and they still needed a place to stay. Marius said yes quickly and enthusiastically, very clearly wanting to actually hang out with Lyf and Nastya again.

Once they get back to the big house they all elect to change into comfy clothes and to let Astrid out of her carrier. Lyf ends up having to borrow a shirt with wings slits from Raphaella because they forgot to grab a shirt in the haste of trying to get Astrid in her carrier. (When they carry Astrid they can’t also carry their duffel bag and have a free hand so they have a small rucksack that they put their clothes in and they didn’t grab a shirt) but the shirt from Raphaella is a bit long and has the text “Why did the two red blood cells break up because their romance was all in vein” on it and their pajama pants have a plaid print on them and a loop for their tail.
Nastya is in her engine-queer-ing with a gear in the back large graphic t-shirt and her nut and bolt print pj pants and a large chunky knit cardigan. Raphaella is in another science pun t-shirt her’s says “I don’t feel stable” with a bubbling compound and a non bubbling one responding with “You’re overreacting” and a pair of sleep shorts with a beaker pattern. Marius is in a shirt that says DILF (damn i love frogs) and has a few Frogs on it, violin pajama pants and a green zip up hoodie that has two rows of snaps on the back.
They all settle in to watch Monty Python and the Holy Grail ( apparently it's blasphemous that Lyf hasn't seen it) When both Marius and Raphaella's phone's rang with The Crew of the Aurora as who's calling.
“Shit Mare it's Friday isn't it” Raphaella says starting to panic
“Shit, shit, shit you're absolutely right it is Friday, shit” Marius says just as panicked
“Um, What's so bad about Friday” both Lyf and Nastya ask
“Well when you left Nastya, Jonny and Ashes made sure we have a call every week. Even when we're on the ship and you have to answer unless you have prior commitments that you told either of the two about” Raphaella explains the slightly more level-headed of the two
“Oh sorry about that” Nastya apologizes
“ It's fine. But if you don't want to see or meet the rest of the crew you and Lyf should go” Marius finally calming down says
“It's fine I don't mind seeing them” Nastya says
“And I don't really want to be alone without my systur, so i don't mind staying here as long as you keep me out of frame” Lyf responses
“Took you fuckers long enough what were you making out” was their greeting from Jonny when they answered on Raphaella's phone
“Jonny lay of them don’t you remember how bad you were with both me and Tim also probably have a valid excuse” Ashes quips at Jonny
“Well you burned a planet and Tim blew up the moon they both are relativity boring one is neither a baron or a doctor even thought he clams on both and the other does unethical science” Jonny grumbles
“Any way can get on with this so I can go back to the books” Ivy says annoyed with antics
“Sure Ive” Ashes says
“ I as quartermaster must now take roll starting with DrumBot Brian”
“I am here Ashes”
“Next Gunpowder Tim babe are you here”
“Yes Ash”
“Next Ivy Alexandria”
“Here”
“Next our humble first mate Jonny d’Ville”
“Its captain; quartermaster O'reilly” Jonny snarks back full of love
“Doctor baron Marius von Raum who is neither a baron or a doctor”
Fuck you I’m technically I am doctor”
And last Raphaella”
“Here”
“I'm not going to call TS because I assume it’s still here” Ashes finishes
“You Would Be Correct Quartermaster O'Reilly But I Would Have Been Happy To Be Involved" TS says sounding jolly
"Okay now that that's done any one have any news" Ashes asks
"Um me and Raph do as long as we can add someone to the call" Marius says cautiously
"Yeah sure whatever" Jonny says quickly
eat the science has added ship fucker to the call
"So uh we found Nastya" Raph says
"I lived bitches and 1 i'm sorry for leaving and 2 Ashes you owe me gold"
"Nastya i missed you i missed you so much" Jonny says
"Aww Jonny have you gone soft in the years since I've left"
"What no never how did you survive"
"That's a whole other conversation that needs to be had here with every one in person when is the next time you all can be on Paramore"
"I think two weeks that good with everyone"
"Yes"
"Ok well Nastya I know your thing about people so i think this call can end but I will still be adding you back to the group chat"
"Ok Jonny"
"That didn't go to terribly" Nastya said
“Uh Nas do you have one of the hoodies with slits for my wings i’ve been a bit cold but I didn’t wanna ask on call” Lyf asks
“Uh your hoodies are in your duffel which is still on the ship. Mare, Raph do you have blankets Lyfrassir is kinda like me and gets cold very easily because of the bifrost'' Nastya says
“She’s right, do you happen to have any blankets?” Lyf confirms
“Uh we do not have any blankets but you can have my hoodie Lyf if you saw the lines of snaps at the back it’s because Raph really likes wearing my hoodies but needs room for her wings so snaps which you are welcome to if you feel cold” Marius says while off and handing the hoodie to Lyf
"I don't mind sharing Marius's hoodies and we can boost the heat if needed" Raphaella says
These two comments made Lyf blush rainbow so they undid the snaps put on the hoodie with a little difficulty as their wings are a bit bigger than Raphaella's but it worked. They realized the hoodie was warm from Marius's body heat that made them blush more. Then they remembered that they were wearing a piece of clothing from both of the people they liked and who were dating but still would like multiple people as they were told earlier made them blush even harder. Suddenly they got a text as only a few people had their number they know who it is

Eldri systir: yes you do; also heads up you look like a multicolor tomato
младший брат: i know i can feel the blush on my face but like they both are attractive even in comfy clothing

The Baron to The Scientist
The Baron: did you see how cute they are in my hoodie
The Scientist: yes but in my T-shirt
The Baron: fine lets just say they are always adorable
The Scientist: yes but their blush are now rainbow with is still cute but also makes me curious
The Baron: hey no we don't do unethical science on them
The Scientist: fine love you
The Baron: love you too and i think the movie might need to be turned back on
“Raph, Mare could we turn the movie back on I really want to see Lyfrassir reaction to this movie so could we please turn it back on” Nastrya asks “Also I do remember that you two are usually human heaters and I know me personally am usually cold even with the sweaters so would you mind a cuddle pile while we watch this movie”
Marius responds with “We can definitely turn the movie back on and I know me and Raph don’t cuddling with you are family and usually don’t like touch but Lyf are you okay with this we don’t want to make you uncomfortable”
“I’m fine with this and even with the hoodie I still am a bit cold” Lyf does admit
“Okay cuddle pile it is” Raphaella exclaims
So they all get set up on the couch with Nastya on the far right. Raphaella next to her. Next to Raphaella is Lyf and then next to them at the far left is Marius. On Nastya’s lap is Astrid. Both Raphaella and Lyf have at least a wing out and wrapped around the group. (Lyf has both of their wings wrapped around the group because theirs are a bit bigger than Raphs and they kinda wanted to put their wings around both Raphaella and Marius)
About half way through the movie Nastya gets up to see if the rich bastard had popcorn in the house. (the bastard did so she made some) When she came back Raphaella’s wing was closed and Lyfrassir had Marius leaning on one shoulder Raphaella leaning on the other Astrid on their lap and their wings more closed around Marius and Raphaella. She elects to sit further away from the group of pining idiots to continue watching the movie.
after Monty Python Lyf said “I feel like I lost brain cells but it was funny”
Marius replied “Thank you someone for getting it that doesn’t quote throughout the entire thing”
To which Lyf responded” It’s my first time seeing this movie so I can’t quote it but let’s see what happens if I watch it again”
”Lyfrassir have you seen Princess Bride” Nastya questions
“I don’t think so, they didn’t have many movies of Midgard” Lyf answered
“Oh now we have to watch it, I can put it on” Raphaella says
“No you three look comfy I can put it on” Nastya cuts in
“Oh ok thank Nas” Lyf said with a small bit of rainbow flush on their nose and cheeks.
But in the flush department they weren’t alone as Marius and Raphaella also had some.
After Princess Bride, Raphaella has fallen asleep while still leaning on Lyf. The next movie up was Labyrinth in which Marius ended up cuddling closer to Lyf. About halfway through they both ended up falling asleep. Afterwards, when the movie had ended Nastya had decided that waking the three would be a bad idea so she went and found a comforter to put over the group and she went to bed. (If they were going to be pining idiots she’s going to have them move to an insufferable throuple quickly because she can deal with that)

Chapter 3: Good Morning

So yes I have dialogue between Nastya and Lyfrassir in a different language in some of the first sections but the first line that includes a different language that isn't my normal icelandic or russian it's swedish because the swears in Icelandic looks like Lyf’s saying the same word over again which isn’t great for translation but the other parts in a different language are ether icelandic or russian

also this chapter is brought to you by lack of sleep, a good bit of a caffeine, procrastination on studying for eoc's, a lot of midnight inspiration, and a lot of mechs listening

When Lyf wakes up at around 8 they realize a few things: 1. Marius is curled up next to them on their left side and Raphaella curled up on the right side. 2. They have their wings loosely wrapped around the two at their sides and there's a comforter over the three of them. 3. Marius and Raphaella are adorable when they are asleep. 4. Marius' albeit adorable drool, as the shoulder of Marius's hoodie, which they are currently wearing, has been found out. 5. They can't get up without waking the other two. They resolve to go back to sleep and hope that Raph and Marius will be awake when they wake back up
The next person to wake up about an hour and a half later is Raph curled into Lyf’s side with one of their wings around her. She flushes a bit as the last time she awoke with a wing around her that wasn't her own was a little before she was mechanized and her wings were bone and feathers, not metal and nano fabric. She is a bit hopeful at the possibility even though she doesn't know if putting a wing around someone in Yggdrasil means the same thing it would mean in her home world. To her, it means I love you and I trust you so completely. But she does know how important hair is in Yggdrasil and she hopes at some point that she'll get to put one of the pretty complex braids she learned from Ivy's Archive in their hair. She also knows how important giving jewelry is in Marius’s culture, especially the bracelet she wears On her left wrist. But currently, it is too early for this. So she puts her right wing over Lyf and Marius who also has one of their wings over him. Her metal and nano wing sat a bit higher than their wing base fitting together perfectly without jostling their wings. The metal and nano are a bit over the bone and feathers. She curls in a bit closer and goes back to sleep not wanting to ruin this moment.
About 30 minutes later Marius wakes with a wing around him. This is common, but the wing doesn't feel like Raphaella's steel and nano. No, it feels more like feathers and Raphaella’s wings. And the part that feels like Raph only reaches halfway. Which must mean two different wings are around him. Lyf. Lyf has a wing around him and Raph, Which must mean they all fell asleep on the couch last night watching movies. Then he realizes he's been drooling on them more so on the shoulder of his stolen hoodie. ( He's learned from what Raphaella does with his hoodies. God if he ends up with two hoodie steelers he's screwed) He picks up his head wipes the drool from his face and takes Lyf's left which is out of the comforter that was put over them (Thank you Nastya) hand raises to his lips and kisses their knuckles and then Puts lifts his hand in their left hand taking a star beaded bracelet (of which he has two of on his left wrist and Raph has one of on her left wrist) slipping it from his wrist to lifts wrist. Dropping his left hand from holding theirs, he takes his mechanism arm and grasps their hand again falling back asleep.
About 45 minutes later Nastya walked out of the room she decided to sleep in. She saw that the Lyfrassir, Marius, and Raphaella Cuddle pile had shifted with one of Raph's wings around Marius and Lyfrassir (She actually knows the significance of this act to Raphaella) Also Lyfrassir now has one of only three remaining Von Raum family bracelets on their left wrist. (When Marius came to the mechs everyone noticed the three identical bracelets on his left wrist but only Raphaella and Nastya herself knew the full significance. Last night she noticed that Raphaella had one on her left wrist now he's given one to Lyfrassir who is very observant for Hades' sake. They are sure to notice the three matching bracelets unless they are too busy pining for the other two.) She walks past the couch on which the idiots sit on and kisses the top of her younger siblings' head on their hair, seemingly trying to give them wisdom. Nastya knew exactly what she was doing when she kissed their hair; she knew the importance of hair in the formerly existing Yggdrasil System. She'd only gotten permission to freely touch their hair about 4 years ago even though she'd been doing their hair whenever they asked for about 7 and 1/2 years at that point. Once even, they taught her their family's patterns.
She kissed the top of their head and walked to the kitchen To see what she could make for a big “family” breakfast. She personally knows that Brian and herself were the only people who ever made breakfast for the crew of the Aurora. This means Marius and Raph have only had Brian's breakfast food for as long as she's been gone. It's not that Brian's cooking isn't good, it's just a bit repetitive as Brian never branched out from the few meals he was programmed to be able to make. Nastya also has a deal with Lyfrassir about who makes food. (Nastya makes breakfast to make sure Lyfrassir will eat that meal, Lyfrassir makes dinner so Nastya is sure to eat that meal, lunch is made by whoever isn't busy with their projects, but it's usually left up to a schedule) Nastya is thinking to make favorites for breakfast which means cinnamon french toast, Nutella pancakes, hashbrowns, bacon, breakfast sausage logs not patties, and eggs scrambled. (Cinnamon french toast was one of Raph’s favorites, Nutella pancakes were one of Mare's, Both are favorites of Lyfrassir’s, the hashbrowns are for Raph, the bacon for Mare, breakfast sausage for Lyfrassir, and the eggs for herself)
But unfortunately, this damn breakfast means she has to go out and get the ingredients and therefore groceries. While out she should get Lyfrassirs duffle. So they don't have to keep borrowing clothes. Not that the offended parties would mind that they’re borrowing clothes. She can make this run in 15 minutes it'll be fine

When everyone else wakes you to the smell of meat at the same time it's awkward to say the least. So when Nastya says "Ah Rainbow you're awake now; could you please help me with breakfast" Lyf responds with "Of course systur as long as Raph and Mare let me get up" Lyf's use of nicknames that the crew only uses made both of them flush a bit. "Rainbow hurry the hell up or I swear to Hades" Nastya quipped sharply "I still don't get why you swear to Hades as that's just Ashes”' Lyf said "It's a crew joke Lyfra we all do it" Raphaella said still short-circuiting a bit " Ah Nas what do you need me to do" Lyf says minority flushed from Raphs use of a new nickname. "Ok I need you to flip the pancakes and do the eggs while I finish the french toast, hashbrowns, and sausage" "Nas can we help at all," Raph asks "No, unfortunately even though I would like more help I've been teaching Lyfrassir how to make my food for over a decade so they would be better, and also no offense Raph I don't entirely trust you in the kitchen, you've done too many experiments involving food” Nastya respond seemingly less panicked now that Lyf has joined her in the kitchen.
Marius and Raphaelle will have decided to sit at the counter on the island while Nastya and Lyf finish cooking together. The two have peak sibling energy having what both Marius and Raphaella could once attest to as being traditional sibling banter. Then out of nowhere from Lyf's voice, they heard “Skit, jävla helvete, som gjorde ont som fan, Skit”
Marius and Raphaela have no clue what that means but that sounds like cursing so their reactions are “Lyf are you okay” from Marius and “Lyfra what the fuck just happened” from Raph. Neither of their responses reached Lyf.
What did was ”Lyfrassir, er allt í lagi með þig þarftu hlé eða læknisskoðun” which apparently came from Nastya
What responded was ” Nei systir, ég er í lagi eða ég verð eftir smá ég brenndi mig óvart með pönnunni segðu þeim að ég sé í lagi”
To which Nastya turned to Marius and Raph and said “Lyfrassir will be fine they just accidentally burned themselves on the pan, which leads me to ask Marius can you actually do first aid because we need to patch them up until the bifrost decides to heal them, I can do it but it means breakfast will be a bit late or burnt”
“I can actually do first aid if you can find a kit,” Marius says thankful for his years in medical school before meeting Raphaella
“They should have a kit in their rucksack and I left one on the table,” Nastya says quickly adding “Raphaella I need you to help me plate the stuff for breakfast”
Marius quickly found the kit Nastya left on the table and grabbed the burn cream, gauze, and wrap. Moving with Lyf to the table started patching them up. Their words had now moved to more understandable. Their voice was still thick with a Norse accent more so than when they normally talk. It was absolutely adorable and they finished patching up their hand when Nastya and Raphaella walked into the room with food.
Marius said “ Okay we are done and food is now here so now let's eat”
To which Lyf responded in what Marius is now Assuming is Old Norse with “Takk elskan fyrir að plástra höndina á mér”
Then Nasya responded with “Djöfull ertu að verða djörf systkini”
And them Lyf says “Ó, fokk þú Nastya, hefurðu ekki áttað þig á því að þeir geta skilið norrænu” with their tongue out at her
She then said "Edda ég er að stríða þér það er ekki svo alvarlegt"
What the FUCK was happening here is what Marius wants to say but he says " Ok can please stick to talking in one language while go we eat"
"Yeah sure," Lyf says a bit roughly due to what Marius is assuming is speaking Norse

Nastya’s cooking it's just as good as Marius and Raphaella remember, and she made their favorites. They haven't had Nastya's cooking in a while and they forgot how good it was because of how repetitive Brian's cooking is. It turns out Raphaella and Marius's favorites in terms of main foods were also their favorites.
“Hey Lyfrassir our deal still applies here so what's the plan for dinner, now you have to add two people so what are you planning on” Nastya questions
“Oh I was thinking Hangikjöt for dinner and maybe Snúður for dessert as you liked those the last time I made those but I would need to get a few things from the market and I would need extra hand so I don’t scare people with eldritch limbs so anyone wants to come is welcome” Lyf answers
“Well I want to come with Lyf,” Marius says
“Okay, Raph, Nas want to come” Lyf questions

Lyfrassir Revna Edda was now sitting on the floor of the bedroom in their bra and boxers trying to figure out what to wear a dress and mini corset with their heeled boots or a shirt, waistcoat, and skirt combo.
They go with their lilac floral print ruffle dress with a low neckline that shows their cleavage and a poofy sleeves the dress is so fancy it doesn't need a corset. So they didn't wear one but they did but they did put their hair in a small braid crown leaving the rest hanging loose and low and wavy. having a very low neckline means they can wear their third necklace, a longish one with a violin and a bow. ( a reference to Nastya and Marius and something they hope to give to Marius by the end of the day and a ring that looks like wings wing to Raph) Their shoes are not the same boots from yesterday but a pair that Nastya calls their lilac witchy shoes with stockings and they have a cat eye eyeliner on and blush pink lipstick. Yes they're trying to cause either Marius or Raphaella to short-circuit hopefully both

Also Marius is from what i'm calling Erde or basically space germany (this is mainly because von Raum means of space in german; so i've always assumed that he gave him self that last name and where he's from speaks a vein of german) so the language he uses german

Chapter Text
When Marius sees Lyf his brain shortcircuits a bit. They look so fucking pretty in that dress with the heels and stockings with their third necklace oh Hades he's screwed.
The walk and shopping weren't bad especially when they had an actually pleasant conversation. When they got to the flower stall they got a bouquet of daisies, a bouquet of magic star lilies, and one of purple persian buttercups to which they asked to stop and sit under a tree in the center of town to which Marius said " Yeah oh, of course, wait what are you going to do with all those flowers"
"Oh I'm going to make some flower crowns" While this they start making a flower crown and eyeballing Marius's head size they
Once they finished the crown. They placed it on his head and it fit perfectly. And while starting up one for themself they said “ You see the violin necklace I’m wearing”
”Yeah, it’s gorgeous Lyfrassir who is it supposed to represent”
“Um you actually, I saw it in a marketplace 6-7 years ago and it immediately reminded me of you so I stole it though my stealing does have a bit of morals and it was stolen because the Profits we’re going to a corporation that was doing oil drilling and mining on the planet” Lyf says stopping on the flower crown for a bit.
They go to fiddle with the clasp of the necklace so they can take it off and say “Marius hold out your hand” he does and they put the necklace in his hand
“Lyfrassir do you know what this means on my planet in my culture”
“Yes actually Nastya explained it and I am hoping that you still feel the same otherwise it is going to be an awkward two weeks”
“Lyfrassir I do I gave you a family bracelet this morning I still feel the same would you help me with this clasp though”
“Oh course elskan” Lyf said as they reached down grabbed the necklace and clasped it around his neck stopping only to kiss the back of his neck
“Lyfrassir, are you going to tell me what that means? '' Marius said then realized that Lyf had just kissed the back neck. He blushed very hardly
Lyf resting a chin on his shoulders says sounding a bit smug “ No I don't think I will unless you know if Raph also likes me” the tone changing to a bit genuine at the end
“Wait you also like Raph this is great because apparently, the two of us have been insufferable for the past 20 years”
“Marius I am actually going to kiss you if that’s okay with you”
“Yes of course it’s okay”
And that was all Lyfrassir needed to lean in and kiss Marius like what they’ve wanted to do for over 20 years at this point. Kissing Marius was great. It started off soft and sweet and slowly got more positive as lips pressed harder into each other. Then Marius tilted his head back a bit and Lyf took that as an opening to get in his mouth and take his breath away. Which they did end up doing but not before realizing that he still tasted of chocolate. Then when they finally pulled apart after what felt like minutes Marius said “Damn Lyf you’re a great kisser” and then his lips were back on theirs.

On the way back to the big house much later than it should have taken for a grocery run. Both Lyf and Marius had the flower crowns on and Lyf had made one for Raphella and Nastya. Marius asked “Do you know Raph’s cultures method of cording someone”
To which Lyf responded with “ Actually, I do Nastya told me and I do still have a box of you, Raph, and Ivy's safer contraband in the ship which I don’t why I took at that point but now I’m glad I did shiny objects right”
“Correct sternenlicht got anything in mind”
”Um I have this it reminded me of her and it’s pretty and shiny,” they say as they reach into the pocket of their dress (dresses should have pockets and I will stand by this until the day I die) and pull out a shiny copper angel wing ring “This ring like that necklace reminded me of her and I now have to ask do you think she would like it” Lyfasks
“Oh sternenlicht she would love it but, she usually doesn’t wear jewelry directly on her hands because of lab stuff so do you have a chain”
“Actually I do I thought that this could be a problem so I have a chain”
“Ok good when we’re back at the house. You’re going to hand me your set of the ingredients for dinner and dessert so I can put them away. While you go try to get my girlfriend to be our girlfriend, you to be both me and Raph’s joyfriend, and hopefully the three of us will be the better trouple in the mechanisms because I assume you’re staying with us”

When she hears the door open and sees Marius walking past with several bags and a flower crown on. Then she sees Lyf walking towards her with a similar flower crown on their head and a third similar one in their hands which gets placed on her head as Lyf sits on her left side. What the FUCK is happening right now.
Then Lyf says “Can you hold out your hand please” She does and in the palm, they put a shiny copper ring with angel wings etched into the metal. Quickly saying “I hope that’s shiny enough but it reminded me of you” She quickly realized what was happening and said “Lyfrassir it’s perfect and definitely shiny enough” To which Lyf said “Good vængjuð gyðja mín”
“Is it okay if I kiss you Lyfra”
“Of course vængjuð gyðja mín”
To which Raph slipped the ring on her pointer finger and took Lyfrassir's face in her hands and pressed their lips together.
If kissing Marius was like fire heating up with passion and intensity each moment. Then kissing Raphaella would be like ice staring off with passion and intensity that slowly melted to make way for something soft and sweet but the kiss never fading only stopping. When their clingy boyfriend cleared his throat on Lyf’s other side clearly wanting attention. So Lyf kisses his forehead and Raph kisses his flesh hand. Then both Marius and Raph kiss Lyf's cheeks and Lyf puts their wings around their partners

Marius got up, to say Lyfrassir wasn't pleased with the loss of warmth was something they didn’t like. But for this nonverbally understood plan to work. He needed to be on the other side of Raph. They had just gotten called mean partners and they weren't going to take it.
Lyfrassir had transported some of their invisibility particles from the bifrost to Marius. They could still see him due to bifrost enhanced eyesight but Raph couldn’t. So he sat down on her other side and made a 3,2,1 motion and then they both leaned in and kissed her light dimples. Dimples that are only actually seen with her smile but they both love so much. With Marius only having a dimple on his right side and Lyfrassir with deep always showing ones they all complement each other.
Raphaella starts giggling when her partners kiss her dimples. Maybe they aren’t so mean after all.

Lyfrassir's cooking was good, correction very very good, actually excellent. Their cooking reminded Marius and Raphaella of their prison food but so much better they realized the food was definitely from Yggdrasil. Which means they have probably only been cooking food from there as best as they could but still their food was still very good.
The Hangikjöt was lamb with peas, and potatoes. The Snúður was basically a cinnamon roll covered in toffee or chocolate. Both were, as said, very good. But it made Lyfrassir a bit sad to see their sister and partners enjoy the food of their home knowing there was no way for them to return home as there was nothing left
A tear drops on their plate. Then another then another. But by the time they are choking down their sobs, they have their partners hugging them at each side and their sister rubbing circles on their knuckles slowly saying "SystkinI mitt, er allt I lagI með þig"
To which they slowly say "neI bara leiðinlegt..... um heimilið og ég soldið....vil fá hárið mitt fléttað"
Nastya sumbles and says "ó okeI ég gerI ráð fyrir að þú viljir gera það til þæginda...svo viltu að ég gerI það"
Lyfrassir's response is in common with "Yeah I want it done for comfort Nas but no matter how much I love you it's been over two decades since I had anyone other than family or a person who I consider as that to do the action so I want them to try but I want to be comfortable and clean to do this so can you explain" and then says " Raph and Mar do you guys have a large bathroom I need a tub as of how long my hair is"
"Yeah Lyfra second floor last room on the hall at the end and move your bags there as well if you want to stay with us tonight, that's the master bedroom and it has the biggest bed" Raph informs them

Nastya sat her siblings' partners on the couch and pulled a kitchen stool in front of them. This was going to be a bit awkward to explain. She took a deep breath and said "ok how much do you both know about hair Yggdrasil specifically doing hair there"

In the formerly existing Yggdrasil system hair specifically hair styling was only ever done by family, close friends, or lovers, and usually, the styling was putting braids in the hair. I've technically been doing their hair whenever they ask for 11 and ½ years and I only have gotten permission to freely touch their hair about 4 years ago. It was a year and ½ where they didn’t trust me enough to do their hair and they trusted you so now I hope, I really hope you don’t break that. Otherwise, I will kill you mutable times over. Got it” Nastya says sternly
"We got it, Nastya," they both say
and then their Joyfriend appeared in the room, they were in their PJs this time being in a pair of pj shorts and a pastel tie dye and a large thick two-tone floral button-up cardigan hair down ready to be braided with ribbons in their hand. They looked so cozy. Then they asked "I assume Nastya told you guys"
"Yes love, you have ribbons I'm going to do a fluffy double dutch braid to pigtails to about your shoulder blades, and then Mare and I will do some small ones in the pigtail parts and I learned a few intricate patterns that I can add" is what Raph says
"I can also teach them the family pattern if you also want that there" is what Nastya says

They spend the next hour doing their joyfriends hair, sometimes making small purring noises. Once Raph finished her last intricate pattern as she didn't want the bottom part to entirely be braided she kisses the top of their head and Marius kisses the back of their neck. Afterward, Raph says "Ok love we finished"

When Lyfrassir finished with Raphaella's hair Marius was very impressed. Raph's hair, her dyed pink parts were braided into a rose and the goldenly parts were left loose. it was so pretty as was Lyf's hair which he helped with. so he took a picture and sent it to the group chat.

Outside the Penumbra system Elísabet Lúna Edda was looking for her sibling they were tracking them with the readings she took from Dr. Carmilla's sample of the bifrost when "Elle" was there after she made her wings an actual mechanism. For 10 years she was stuck with the Dr but now she was free to find her sibling, their sibling who had left her a note saying
My, dear sister Elísabet Lúna Edda,
The Ratatosk Express is going to bring through a God called Yog Sogoth. Yog Sogoth is the bifrost. Odin was actually evil and tried to release Yog Sogoth with the train. Loki and Sigyn died to stop it. But now that the train has arrived there’s no telling how long until Yog Sogoth comes through. He will distort and destroy the system. As soon as you get this note, I recommend you leave immediately. Grab as much clothing as you can and leave. Try to meet up with me if you can. But if you can’t remember this, dear sister, I love you more than the gods will know.

That note that fucking note was all she had left of them and they were determined to find their sibling.
The place where most readings were coming from was the planet Paramore. So she set the course for the city where most readings were coming from. They've been on her own for 10 years looking for her sibling. She was both a mechanism and eldritch. Mechanism from the Doctor and Eldritch from being around Revna when the black box was in the apartment. The black box had left faint traces of bifrost powers not as much as she expected Revna had. But enough so she had permanent rainbow parts of her hair and one of her eyes was a pure shifting of colors that would change with emotion and the tips of her metal prosthetics were now bismuth.
She was going to find Revna no matter how long it takes

Lyfrassir Revna Edda missed their sister yet had never mentioned them to Nastya. Yet had just made a small slip up mentioning her very briefly then briefly explaining who she was. They knew she was going to have to be talked about at some point so they while watching this cop show from whatever earth was with their partners in bed decided that tomorrow they were going to tell everyone who Lúna was.
Chapter 6: Who The Fuck is Elísabet Lúna Edda (With a bonus of Marius and Raphaella backstory)

Chapter Text
Lyfrassir woke up from another bifrost nightmare. The nightmares only get worse around the anniversary. Usually, they only have Nas to comfort them but now slowly sitting up on either side are their partners. The muffled screams and whimpers must have woken them up.
Raphaella and Marius on either side have started to curl in to hug them and Raph has started to stroke up and down on their folded-up wings. The partners sat there in silence for a bit until Raph says “ Lumière des étoiles are you okay nightmares suck especially for us immortals with our paths to immortality being trauma, laden”
“I’m fine now…I have you both here…but yeah the nightmares suck…get worse around the anniversary……doesn’t happen much else any time else unless I die…then I have to deal with…her…she sucks and is so pretentious” Lyfrassir says
“I’m assuming her as Odin, the bitch” Marius says bitterly
“That would be correct Mari although sometimes I can hang out with Loki and Sigyn their cool” Lyfrassir simply states
“Wait you can talk to them that’s fascinating” Raph interjects
“Yeah both of them are very cool, I’m working on convincing them to teach me their family patterns, so their patterns aren’t forgotten” Lyfrassir states with some awe in their voice
”Again I state cool”
“Sternenlicht can I ask about the nightmare”
“Yeah, it was about Lúna or I guess their first name is Elísabet. Though we only ever addressed each other by our middle name. Felt too formal for us being family otherwise”
“So she was your family, I feel so bad for you Lyfra you lost your whole family,” Raph says and Marius quickly adds “Yeah me too”
Lyfrassir wetly chuckles saying” Well I guess it’s time to explain who she is. Probably should do that today otherwise I’m going to keep mentioning them with no context or Nas will inquire about her. What time is”
“It’s 5:30ish, can you try to get back to sternenlicht, or at least try for a little bit” Marius gently questions
“I can try, you know how nightmares are”
”Yeah we do, we do. So just try for us lumière des étoiles” Raph says softly
The partners do end up falling back asleep to a story from Raphs childhood that she decided to tell

The partners wake back up around 8 and go down to see if the fourth person in the house is awake. She is, sitting on the chair across from the sofa reading with her headphones in. Lyfrassir knows the best way to get her attention is by saying something in Cyberian.
So they call out to her in Cyberian saying “Старшая сестра, у меня есть некоторые, которые, должно быть, тоже”
Nastya hears it and instantly starts pulling out her headphones saying “Хорошо, говори”
Lyfrassir sits themselves and their partners down on the couch and starts in IGSC (Intergalactic Space Common) “Okay when I start this I need no one to interrupt me otherwise I’m not going to be able to finish. Got it”
“Got it” all three responded
“So as I said to Raph and Marius after the nightmare, Lúna is her middle name and their first name is Elísabet. We would refer to each other by middle names for the two following reasons 1. Our first names felt too fancy or formal 2. Lúna couldn’t say Lyfrassir as a young kid so I told her to call me by my middle name Revna and eventually, she told me they preferred to be called Lúna. Now I didn’t mention how related we were and that was directly as siblings.”
Lyfrassir pauses letting their audience process the last few words then starts back up with “So Lúna was my sister and after she turned 13 they moved in with me for school. When I left I had to go get Astrid but Lúna wasn’t at home so I left a note to tell her to get out and I really hope they did make it out. I love my sister so much.”
Lyfrassir stops a minute before asking “I will try to answer questions but I might not be able to do this properly”
Nastya cautiously asks “Can we know a bit more about her if possible”
“Yeah sure I can tell you a bit more,” Lyfrassir says then starts telling a bit more about their sister
“I told you about her wings, she was 15 when IT happened. Lúna said she preferred Lúna when she came out as she/they lesbian gender identity demigirl but still liked sister as the Norse word for sister is better than just siblings. I mean not being straight must run in the family with our moms Marharyta and Annelisse were lesbians, I’m nonbinary, pansexual, and polyamorous and of course, Lúna was a she/they lesbian.”
Marius waits till Lyfrassir takes a pause and cuts in with “Well none of the crew is straight”
Then Raph whispers yells at Marius “Mari even though that’s true let them finish” Then in normal voice “Sorry continue Lumiére des étoiles”
”Ok well me and Lúna played instruments because Marharyta or Mama was a musician. I played cello and Lúna would play the lyre and was working on the harp. The cello is still a little sad to play when I play something from Yggdrasil as I always think a lyre or harp is going to join in as we’d play together. I’m also want to get back into painting as Annelisse or Móður was a painter and would usually do murals she taught me how to paint. As I said it’s no wonder I ended up so queer with what my moms did. I don’t know how much more I can talk about my former home” Lyfrassir says
Nastya asks “Lyfrassir you don’t have to answer this but you’re lost so much what keeps you going”
"I can answer that on a condition you guys answer a few questions you can say no though," Lyfrassir says
"Okay, I agree with that," Nastya says
"Yep that works" is what Raphaella divulges
"Yea you shared a lot and I don't know how much Nas told you but I don't mind telling" Marius replies
"Okay, so what keeps me going is hope. Before I met Nastya it was hope to see either Marius and Raphaella or Lúna. After it was hope that Nas would care if I became a shell of myself. Now that I have elskurnar mínar and am sure about Nas it's hope to see my sister again"
"Lyfrassir, I think you're one of the last of us with hope, maybe your partners maybe have some left," Nastya says
"We do, we always thought you made it out even spending weeks looking and keeping an eye out for Midgardian ships for weeks," Raph says
"My only hope is for Aurora to forgive me as I was a hypocrite," Nastya says solemnly
"She will Nas, I promise but can one of you elaborate on the nobody is straight thing"
“Sure I do think Raph is best at this summary,” Marius says
“Oh okay I guess I’ll do this thing chronologically by the oldest mechanized to youngest mechanized” Raphaela stutters, clearly being put on the spot
“So I'll start with Jonny he/him cis, either Pan or Omni, we think Omni and also polyamorous; then Nastya who can tell you herself” Raphaella starts
“ Yes I can I've never been specific about this but she/her cis lesbian, Raphaella continues”
“Okay going onward chronologically is Ashes they/them, Non-binary, Pan, and polyamorous; then Ivy she/he, bigender, and aroace; then Brian cis he/him gay; TS it/its aroace; then Tim he/she/they genderfluid, unlabeled do gender, and polyamorous; then myself she/her, bisexual, and polyamorous; and Marius who can tell you himself”

Then Nastya outright says“ Marius and Raphaella were he/they and she/they but..”
Nastya pauses and then Raph and Marius say “ Ashes took our they/them cards because we did something stupid in terms of playing a game with Ashes” ( A/N This sounds like something commonly recited on the ship; kind of like the captain/first mate thing)
"So do the GNC like reign supreme, or are they like in charge, or are each of their request the most important, or just treated normally" Lyfrassir questions
“Ummm, like the first three, usually Ashes is in charge and usually Ashes and Tim's requests are usually taken seriously, Ivy does have the very threatening Don't you dare go into my library with fire or gunpowder or weapons though, which response usually leads to his requests being respected” Marius states plainly
“There's a reason me and Marius are desperate to get our cards back” Raphaella snarks
“Ha so including me 4 GNC people because my partners lost their cards somehow”
“Yeah but if we do find your sister and she wants to come with us it will be 5, as it’s been so long since the card thing happened I don’t think your partners will be getting them back,” Nastya says choking down laughter
“Wait how long ago did you lose the cards”
“Around two millennia ago” Nastya replies to them still trying not to laugh
“Ok now I'm going to ask something very personal which can be declined if you don't want to answer this is probably very cagey so again you don’t have to ok”
“Ok”
“Marius, Raphaella how were you both Mechanised, I know Nastya’s story she told hers when I told mine ”
“Lyfrassir that's a deep question that should be answered after food but I don’t know either of the stories so I will admit I'm a bit curious I don’t know anything about their stories no one does except each other”
“That's because our stories are very much entwined so we know most details from before we met,” Raphaella says
“But I think if Raph is ok with it, we know your trauma we were there for it, so you should know after all, Nastya I will say you can’t yet tell the Crew about this yet”
“If Mari is fine with telling I am too his part is more traumatic so I will tell you after food as our story is one that can ruin appetites”
"Ok let's make food then" is what Lyfrassir resolves to say

Breakfast was good but there was a small bit of anticipation hung over the air. So when breakfast was done everyone sat back in the living area facing Raphaella and Marius waiting for the two to tell their tale.
Raphaella sighed and said “Okay I guess I should start with background on the system where we lived which is probably long gone by now”
Then Marius stated “Ok so we come from the same system the Spatium Europae System I’m from the planet Erde and”
“I’m from the planet Terre” Raphaella interjected
“Yes the two planets were right next to each other and Raph’s was a nice peaceful place……mine was not. It was a planet stuck in civil war. I was born into a noble family with the name Byron and we were stuck in civil war. Food supply was limited so I didn’t get much with my amount of siblings. I was one of the only males of my siblings so I was the one of my family to go fight for our side. I was a fight in a mecha but technology hadn’t been upgraded since the war started. I lost an arm in the war but was given a basic armature prosthetic by a certain doctor and escaped decided I had enough and decided to flee the system” Marius explained
”I guess it’s my turn now so as Mari said my planet was peaceful or more so than Marius. Wings were a big part of our culture so when at 23-24 I fell off a tree trying to get reading my wings got injured and had to be amputated but there was left an implant for prosthetics on my back. I felt displaced in my world so I started researching prosthetics and found the Mechanisms. I decided that trying to make a prosthetic like that was my plan I did it eventually it took about 3 years and I didn’t test the immortality part for a while though but I wouldn’t age so my own mechanization worked. I did this to myself. But eventually, I wanted to leave so I got a transport that only had to make one stop to make a pick up in Erde“ Raphaella explains in her part
“Transports out of Erde were expensive so only the rich or nobles could afford them. Which is how I got a ticket” Is the reasoning Marius
“I saw Marius when he got on the transport, and I saw the armature I knew what had been started. So I know how badly it could go asked if he wanted me to finish the process” Raphaella explained
”I knew the armature was welded to my nervous system…which meant I couldn’t take it out. So I agreed…and hoped the newly met Raphaella la Cognizi was better at it than the doctor. Dr. C was brutal about it so when we got out of the system to the next planet she finished my mechanization” Marius said a bit shaky
“It was a bit difficult trying to do as it was attached to him. I was able to do it. And I’m glad I did because due to stealing meds for this we had to get out of there to escape the police. After all, the ones stolen were strong.” Raphaella said relatively calm
“We died together when we died for the first time and we only knew we died because of where the blood stains were,” Marius says
“Then after a little, we decided to find the rest of the people who were like us” Raphaella claims
“We did trauma bond a little bit so there’s a reason the two of us were so close at the beginning and still are so close,” Marius says
“I think that’s our story or tale, we told our story but I don’t think it could be a story” Raphaella explains
“I promise I won’t tell Jonny in its entirety, and I promise if I ever see Carmilla again I will push her out of an airlock or kill her for what she did to you, Marius.” Nastya starts off sincere then goes pissed then quickly added “Also Raphaella you did a very impressive job on both of your mechanisms. I thought yours was her handy work since I met you. Marius’s was not her traditional style of metal” Sounding in awe
”I think the fact you were able to do both yours is impressive especially from mostly research,” Lyfrassir says
“Can I just make an offhand comment about how Raph made her own wings to the gc something like Raphaella just said the screws on my wings are looser than when I designed them. I think it would make Jonny less guilty in terms of his was the first mechanism that worked and then she went on and did 7 other people because he blames himself a bit for other mechanizations so it might be helpful for his guilt as we’ve assumed that was who mechanized you. Marius not so much not her design style” Nastya asked and explain
“As long as you don’t explain anything. I’m closest to the people in this room and Ive who due to the three of our stint in prison. He knows about me and Marius’s backstory” Raphaella explains “But I will have to tell her to not expand upon anything”
“Ok”
“I will text Ive”

5 days since above, 7 days since the seeing of Lyfrassir and Nastya again, 7 days till the rest of the of the crew go to Paramore and reunite the entire crew
Lúna flew through the days and nights for days landing at the docks of the city and followed the traces until she found a big house. At the end she knew her sibling must be there. It was 10:30 am so they were probably up so she knocked on the door. She was answered by a short about 5,5 thin man with curly brown hair and a metal right arm.

Marius was confused who this teenager was at the door and why does she? look like his joyfriend, wait SHIT she must be Lúna. "One sec kiddo, I think I know who you're looking for'' Marius shut the door and yelled, "STERNENLICHT, I THINK YOUR SISTER THAT WAS ASSUMED DEAD IS AT THE DOOR WHAT DO I DO!!!!"
This caused Lyfrassir to run to the door. Then stared confusedly at him which is when Marius realized that in the 60 years in Yggdrasil, they had never seen him in his glasses. Mainly because he had lost them in the 20 years of chaos hence the breakouts every three months but Lyfrassir had never seen his glasses. He ran out of contacts this morning so this was their first time
"You wear glasses Mare"
"Umm yes"
They softly kissed him and then said "They look good on you now I assume my supposed sister is on the other side of the door so let me answer it"
"Ok, good luck"

They opened the door and a voice they hadn't heard since Yggdrasil said "I'm looking for a Lyfrassir Revna Edda"
"Lúna Edda I'm right here and I've missed you so much," Revna said already starting to cry
"Revna can I come in and sit, also ask who that man was" Lúna asked
"As long as I can ask why you look the same" Revna snarks back
"Deal," Lúna says and pulls her sibling into a hug

Lúna and their sibling walk into the house and then sit in the living room where Revna calls out "NASTYA, RAPHAELLA, AND MARIUS!!!! come officially meet my sister" The man from earlier and a woman with long blond hair that has pink streaks braided into a rose and a pair of prosthetic wings ran into the room very excitedly followed by a woman with blue at the ends of her hair with two mugs one of which she handed to Lúna.
Then Revna pointed to each one of the people. The man with curly brown hair and a metal right arm was apparently named Marius, the woman with long blond hair and a pair of prosthetic wings was Raphaella, and the one who handed her a drink was Nastya. Then their sibling said, "Remember those prisoners from Midgard well Raph and Marius are two of them also now my partners so..."
"WHAT THE FUCK YOU ACTUALLY DID IT!!!" Lúna burst out
"Haha I think your sister will fit in here lumière des étoiles"
"Lúna did the Bifrost make you like this as you look the same, so a bit eldritch and immortal" Revna asked
"A bit eldritch but it was a Dr. who messed around with my wings who did the immortal part"
"I mean look at my appearance compared to yours "She gestures to her hair which was cut into a happy medium with birkin bangs the chestnut brown that their siblings were is still visible her only having small sections being the shimmering rainbow, bismuth wing tips, and color changing due to emotions eye
Then a woman named Nastya said "Can you tell us about the Dr." in Norse
"wait Nastya you know Norse"
"Um yes I adopted your sibling as an older sister about a decade and a half ago, I don't know if you'll see me as one but I hope a bit that you won't hate me for that action"
Lúna took a sip of the hot beverage with whipped cream and rainbow sprinkles. It was the same hot cocoa her mamas would make for her and Revna when they were sad as kids and this was made by Nastya. Revna must trust her enough, she might be their older sister. "This is Mama's cocoa isn't it, did Revna teach you how to do this"
"Yes, could you tell us about the Dr. though," Nastya asks again
"Yeah, I'll tell you about her. She was a vampire and either used crutches, a wheelchair, or a cane. She had tan skin and her hair would change from red to blue every month, she thought she fixed my wings and made them "better" which in turn made me better. I was stuck with her for 10 years and it was absolute hel especially her calling me Elle. I hate that name. Hel I'm not able to age from older than 15 just as Revna still looks the same as they did at the age of 29. But 10 years ago I had had enough and kicked her off the ship through the airlock piloted the ship and started looking for my sibling using Bifrost particle readings she had and that's how I'm here" Is what Lúna says "Oh wait I also stole her phone and I think I do have contacts for the rest of her so-called children" Lúna quickly added then after the part "I think if Revna thinks of you as a sibling so should I, also you made mamas hot cocoa the same way so you probably have had it so I think your family now"

"So Lúna do you have either of your instruments with you or do you need new ones because I did slowly corrupt my instruments so we can just get you a new one" Lyfrassir asks their sister
"well I had my handheld 10-stringed lyre when I left I did slowly corrupt it but only partly" as its parts ivory and partly a bit of space," Lúna says then they question "Wait can you do the thing where you know"
"Yes I can, Marius, Raph you're going to find the irony of this hilarious" Then Lyfrassir starts glowing and a cello with the colors of the cosmos ingrained into it as well as the light of stars and hints of constellations as well as a cosmic cello bow appears and then they started to play a song that everyone in the room knows Rose Red.
This is the first time Raphaella and Marius have seen their partner play and holy hades are they good. Their hair that was braided similar to how it was that first time it was braided but Marius and Raph is floating in a crown around them. They are in the outfit that was worn when they first saw each other again. (white pirate blouse that has a bit of lace up in the front, waistcoat with star patterns that form constellations, long flowy star skirt, very fancy brown heeled boots with to many buckles) And then with their celestial cello playing a song that their group wrote while doing all that is enough to make Raphaella and Marius speechless. Especially as their wings are fully unfurled and glowing. Their joyfriend looks like a dark rainbow angel and it’s so pretty.
Even though Nastya has seen this effect before. Knew before what song it was going to be as Lyfrassir projected it to her so she could play along. They needed her for this song as they couldn’t play the opening notes on the cello as it sounded wrong. She hadn’t seen the effect in sunlight and oh god it was impressive.
When Lyfrassir finished Marius realized that Nastya had been playing along. But Lyf quickly de-manifested their cello and the cello bow and then manifested a similar violin and violin bow. Then they said “ See the irony yet”
And Marius realized what they meant “Hades, you can summon your instruments out of seemingly nowhere”
“That would be correct”
“Oh gods is that funny because the distasteful “Von Raum” would summon so many violins to the point where the people at the station would judge so much to the point of mocking” Lúna plainly states making an air quotes gesture around the words Von Raum
Oh gods, I actually said something like that over two decades ago”
“You legitimately said and I quote the prisoners, especially Von Raum, are incredibly rude and distasteful. They are loud and disruptive. Von Raum will flirt using cheesy pick-up lines, honestly if he's going to flirt do it well and play that fucking violin that I'm not even sure how he gets every time its not always bad not that I’m going to tell him that but his determined look is kinda adorable. Then there's La Cognizi; she's not as bad as Von Raum. Still, she makes dangerous chemical compositions in the cell which I then have to remove, she writes formulas on the cell walls which has to be cleaned constantly which means I have to move them all to another cell clean it move them back which is honestly just a hassle, and she will pull a keyboard out of nowhere and play with Von Raum I don’t even know how that one works. But I have seen her in the makeshift lab goggles she uses for the mixing of chemicals, it kinda of makes her look pretty in the terrible teal prison uniforms. Then the best behaved of them is Alexandra but she can be just as bad when she plays along with the other two the best way to keep her not to is just to give her books. But their breakouts every three months suck for multiple reasons 1. The amount of paperwork I have to do as the primary lesion between MGPD and them 2. They raid the good fucking vending machine every fucking time and then when I have to go to them the next day they are blatantly eating the snacks given the prison food is bad so not blaming them there but the good vending machine. Gods I dislike them.” is what Lúna says in an impression of Lyfrassir then adds “Usually I would try to convince feelings but it never worked hence my reaction to the partners thing also this rant would happen every time they had to visit”
“Ok, Lúna stop exposing me, also in my defense these rants would happen because of sleep deprivation and irritation,” Lyfrassir says
"Well, I forgive you for the insults Raphaella and I were kinda terrible at that point. But the vending machine was a needed thing. The food was terrible. Also, you were our favorite of the lesions we had” Marius says walking behind them and kissing the exposed base of their neck this action causes Lyfrassir to freeze up
Then when they recover and say “Marius you are a little shit sometimes and to think I was going to let you play my cosmic violin but you went and did that”
“Fine, I won’t be mean as I’m curious about the effect, do you know Cinders Song Sternenlicht” Marius asks then adds “We have the singer of that song she is haunting when she does this song”
“I can play Cinders Song," Lyfrassir says a bit annoyed
“It’s the first of our songs they mastered on both cello and violin but that might be because I had the recording with Raphaella as what was used” Nastya adds then takes a pause and goes “ Marius will you be good with going back to second violin part from OUAT(IS) and HNOC. I still feel that you should play the first violin for the albums you were there for the entire writing process so UDAD and fuck what did you call Rainbow and kinda Lúna’s story”
“Oh well, Tim wanted to call it All Aboard The Viking Space Train but got shot by Jonny, and Ive, Raph, and myself fought for it just to be called The Bifrost Incident as it would then follow the pattern. As all our storytelling albums start with the album title, we mostly used the black box and Lyf’s ingrained monologue.”
“Ok but Marius, are you okay with returning to second violin for OUAT(IS) and HNOC? You can have the first violin for UDAD and TBI as you were there for the writing process of those. I mean Rainbow does know first and second violin for both albums so can play both when needed but of course had to write all new for cello .”
“Yeah I don’t mind, I mean we haven’t played OUAS(IS) at a concert besides a few songs since you left so I never learned the first violin for that album,” Marius admits
“Oh well I want to make sure of this before we do Cinders Song as otherwise, it sounds muddled with the cello, as the cello joins when the second violin does for this song but we can sub it for the bass guitar as that's what we did for years ” Nastya explains
“Ok, can we do this? I want to see how good ma lumière des étoiles is, oh Lúna could you record this for the group chat” Raphaella asked
“Sure, it's not like I have the music to be able to join in with,” Lúna says holding out a hand for Raphaella’s phone

Revna hands the violin they produced to Mr. Marius. Ms. Nastya got her violin and set up a mic for Ms. Raphaella because in her words they were going to do this properly. And Revna summoned their cello again. Lúna waited for everyone to set up and for Ms. Nastya to give her a thumbs up so she could start recording. When Ms. Nastya gave her a thumbs up. Lúna turned the camera on and gave everyone a thumbs up for them to start playing.
The effect happened again, but this time as there were more people playing it glowed brighter as though the energy of other people around them fed the glow or they weren’t inhibiting it, as they control their bifrost powers for the most part. But the cello, violins, and Ms. Raphaella’s singing sounded great together, Revna's playing is a bit haunting but otherwise wonderful.
Then Ms. Nastya gave Lúna another thumbs up to tell her to stop so they stopped the recording. Then Mr. Marius handed the violin back to Revna after they de-summoned their cello saying “Your cello playing is great, sternenlicht” and then Ms. Raphaella interjected with “Lumière des étoiles, he's right”
Then something clicked in Lúna’s head. She had always liked languages, having learned IGSC and Norse as a small child, same with their sibling but they always thought it was fun so by 10. She started to learn SG (Space German) which she mastered before her 11th birthday. Afterwards, she went to SF (Space French) which took a bit longer as it was a different type compared to SG and Norse but she still managed it by 13. And then learned SI (Space Italian) took her a year and was fluent at 14. They got busy after that so she couldn’t move on to the next language on her list called Cyberian but she knew how to introduce herself in that one. But their sibling partners called her sibling Starlight in SG and SF.
This would be fun, so she walked up to Mr. Marius first who was in conversation with Ms. Nastya about their siblings skills and said " Tut mir leid, dass ich dich störe, Herr Marius, du scheinst SG zu kennen. Ich bin Polyglott und habe schon immer gerne neue sprachen gelernt.”
This causes Mr. Marius to freeze and then he slowly says “Lúna, du kennst SG. Gut zu wissen... welche anderen Sprachen beherrschen Sie?”
“Oh, neben IGSC, Norse und SG kenne ich SF und SI auch ein bisschen Cyberian” is what Lúna says
“Das ist cool, du bist cooler, als ich dir ursprünglich zugetraut habe, aber du kennst den Spitznamen, den ich für Lyf verwende, also…”
“Das Geheimnis ist bei mir sicher. Aber deine Freundin verwendet in SF denselben Spitznamen” Is what she says to Mr. Marius and then walks away to go find Ms. Nastya to ask a question

Ms. Nastya was in the reading nook, she reading a book called Just Stab Me Now. Ironic, Lúna walked up and asked her Извините за беспокойство Ms. Nastya Я полиглот и знаю лишь немногоне Cyberian мог бы ты научить меня большему пожалуйста”

Then she went to find their sibling. They had a request only Revna could fulfill by doing her hair. Revna's hair was clearly done by their partners and maybe Ms. Nastya as well. Also, there was from what she could tell old somewhat Asgardian high family pattern with a hint of an upper-class Midgardian pattern. Curious as Revna and her family were just from a flat-out middle-class Midgardian family. Their family's pattern was pretty and decently elaborate but not that. So curious....anyway she found Revna in the living room in what could best be described as a cuddle pile with Ms. Raphaella and Mr. Marius whispering and sharing affection.
Revna had their wings around both partners, Ms. Raphaella had a wing out and was kissing Revna's cheek, and Mr. Marius was singing something with a lyric of "Will we think back to Shrove Tuesday so long ago" From what Lúna heard it was pretty and soft compared to the songs Mr. Marius has sung in the albums the doctor had, the other albums Mr. Marius was always angry about something in those. Now sounded so soft, this song was personal and was not to be interrupted. Then Raphaella started something Lúna remembered as Redeath a pretty song about a planet falling into a sun and being reborn, like a phoenix but it was usually sung by TS. After that, Lúna realized all three were holding each other's hands gods they were already insufferable.
She decided to finally enter and said "Revna, if you don't mind can you please do my hair again a Mermaid Braid with an integrated family pattern either of the two you have if you explain why you have an integrated Asgardian high family pattern and an upper-class Midgardian pattern"
This seemed to startle Revna who said to their partners "The braids Lúna is talking about is the fancy braid I taught you was a deal from the wives after I reunited my anchors and expressed feelings to them so you both, they were one of the main pressures, well them and Nastya"
"Revna, who are the wives"
"Well in my dreams of the bifrost and of the train there are three people that got bound to the train and also touched by the outer gods so in my dreams as long as they aren't fully nightmarish I can interact with Loki, Sygin, and Odin as I wish. I don't like interacting with Odin so I don't unless absolutely necessary. So I hangout with the wives they are cool and as they didn't have any kids kinda adopted me as theirs and told me when I got to my anchors and then got with they would teach me the family pattern so that's who they are. Also, the two are each other's anchors and if you want as I now have something of both of you Mare and Raph I could try to pull you guys through if you want to meet the wives same with you Lúna I just need you to add a small part to the looser part of my hair." Is the long explanation given by Revna
"Cool, willing to do my hair"
"Yeah, yeah elskar can I have my hands I kinda need them for this"
"Fine" Is what Mr. Marius says and Ms. Raphaella just releases Revna's hand they just patted the ottoman that was currently in the L of the couch and the three were on the straight part with Mr. Marius' legs spread out even though he was 5,5 on the chase and Ms. Raphaella curled on the other side of Revna with a wing wrapped around herself the other on the back of Revnas. Revna did have their wings around both partners. God the three are insufferable.
After Revna started on her hair she asked Ms Raphaella ” Madame Raphaella, Je sais comment vous appelez Revna, Monsieur Marius les appelle de la même manière dans SG. Je suis une bonne sœur donc je ne le dirai pas mais je sais. De plus, je suis polyglotte si vous êtes curieux.”
“Okay, gamin, c'est plutôt cool… j'ai aussi l'impression que tu me menaces un peu. De plus, je sors avec quelqu'un de ta famille, tu n'es pas obligé de m'appeler madame ou Marius monsieur”
Then Revna interjected with “Máni are you using your polyglot skills to mess with everyone, sorry elskar I forgot to mention Lúna is fluent in 5 languages was working on her 6th before Ragnarok which ones do you know”
“Oh, IGSC, Norse, SG, SF, SI, and the 6th was Cyberian. I’ve asked Ms. Nastya to teach me more, I could tell from the accent.”
“I’m trilingual anyway” Revna does say
“Here I can say a few things in each language if wanted”
“Nah, we’re good and mein sternenlicht seems to be done with your hair,” Marius tells them
“Oh thank you, well I guess i’ll go let you guys be a bit insufferable,” Lúna says about to get up and leave
Then Raphaella says “Kid, we were going to watch a show called Brooklyn Nine-Nine it’s from earth you can join us, honestly please do”
“Ok, I guess I will,” they say getting up to sit on the circle couch chair. As the intro opened she realized that these people including their sibling are their new family and they don’t seem so bad.

"Okay everyone" is how Lyfrassir decided to start the conversation at the dinner table the night Lúna arrived "I'm going to try to do something in my dream tonight so....that leads me to my first question. Who would like to meet Loki and Sygin?" Everyone else minus Nastya raised their hand. “Ok now to everyone going, the outfits you're going to be wearing are your normal ones or something fancy. Except mine, mine is usually up to my control so probably an outfit I wore this week. And usually my favorite of the week so probably the floral dress and purple shoes. This is mostly a preparation for Marius and Raphaella.” Lyf states
“The reason I’m not going is to wake Rainbow up if anything seems to be going wrong, which also means you all need to sleep relatively close, so Lúna I need you to sleep in a room across from everyone else there's a reason I took a nap today. I have so stay up for most of this”
Dinner passed with excitement about meeting Loki and Sigyn. After dinner they settled down and watched more Brooklyn Nine-Nine, then at 9:30ish Lyf said “Ok for this to work we all going need to go to bed soon as we all need to be asleep at the same time for this to work according to Loki, I asked a few years ago, there's a reason I wanted to but never pulled you through”

When Lyfrassir wakes up in the dream world in the floral dress, heels and stockings. With hair precisely braided in the same style done by their partners all week just neater also with eyeliner and a light rose gold shimmery lipstick. Gods Marius was going to lose it. (he's the easily flustered one of their partners) Now Lyfrassir knew they were at the back of the train they also knew Raphaella and Marius wouldn’t last the entire walk to the front of the train as the wives carriage was close to the engine room so first they pulled through Lúna using the starry charm from a bracelet. The bracelet from when they were children had a few charms representing their original family. (A raven, a cluster of stars with a moon, a pearl, and a dove) Lúna was pulled through in a white lace babydoll dress with long lace sleeves, floral fishnet tights, doc marten platform boots with daisy embroidery, and their old denim jacket with enamel pins especially her pronoun and pride pins.
“Damn, Máni love your outfit” is what Lyfrassir says
“Oh thank you……wait is the the Ratatosk Express” is what Lúna asks
“That would be correct, come on we’re at the back of the train and we need to get at least half way to Loki and Sigyn before I get my inpatient ass partners like I love them and everything but they needed to learn patience years ago”
“Damn, how longs this going to take”
“About 30 minutes in its entirety I’m planning to bring my partners in about 5 minutes before we get there”
“So, 25 minutes”

“Did our moms ever give a partner a shovel talk” Lúna questions “because i feel they would give my girlfriend Celeste one”
“Wait you have a girlfriend”
“Yeah I met her on my travels to find you her parents were awful, cruel, terrible, wicked all those synonyms so she ran away to what can best be described as fae world and the faes took her ability to age and her name so I gave her a new one. I don’t know how she does with being injured fatally but otherwise she doesn’t age I dropped her in Athenaeum but she does play the oboe, why Athenaeum she likes books ”
23 minutes later
“So at some point can we pick her up”
“I’ll talk with Ivy as your girlfriend could maybe work with him in the library she always wants new non-dangerous people to work with, from what you told me she seems that way” Lyfrassir says “Now I should get my partners, I’ll start with Raph” using the necklace she gave them.
Raphaella appears in what can best be described as steampunk lolita as she's wearing a white ruffle neckline steampunk shirt a brown leather corset, a big brown poofy skirt and boots that look like Lyfrassirs
“Welcome to the Ratatosk Express vængjaða gyðjan mín”
“Oh it’s so much cooler than I thought”
“Yes it also gives my light receptors a tecno-color headache,” Lyfrassir says

“I need a minute” They touch the necklace from Marius and he appears in an oversized pastel cat hoodie with a black leather jacket with many cute enamel pins some light blue jeans and some black Converse all-stars

The door opens and Lyfrassir walks in “Hey, Mrs. Mischief and Mrs. Victory how are you”
“We’re good Prose are you going to give me and “Mrs. Mischief” our hugs”
“Yes Sygin, also Loki how much do you mind dealing with new people, I brought my partners and sister they want to meet the both of you”
“Do we finally get to meet the partners, let's hope your sub moms approve”
“Lokiii, they're not that bad, can I let them in”
“Prose, let us tidy up a bit ok”

3 ½ minutes later
“Ok, so you can let them in”

“Got it Loki” was heard from inside the carriage the Lyfrassir came out and said “Ok, you can come in and meet them” is what they say as they opened the door to the carriage to two women.
One is a thin pale woman with long raven black hair past her waist with a braid crown with the fancy family patterns and Forget-Me-Nots, and purple dahlias integrated in. The flowers complement her long deep green flowy dress with flower embroidery and sheer mesh sleeves going over the corset top dress part. Eyes one blue one green. Her barely showing shoes are what look like a pair of green Converse All-Stars with hand-done embroidery around the logo.
The other woman had dark skin and vitiligo majorly around her right eye and other patches on her exposed arms. Her hair is in a Migardain warrior braid that involves her family patterns on both sides wrapped to a loose crown and tied where the leftover part is braided in family patterns and the rest of her straight-ish medium-length hair is left loose. Wearing a deep blood-red jumpsuit with a sleeveless round neck and matching color red stiletto heels. (Due to her small wings she is probably Sigyn) And she is resting with an arm around her wife on the sofa.
“Ok, Loki, Sigyn meet my partners and sister everyone introduce yourself” is what Lyfrassir says
“Ok, as I'm directly related so I guess I'll go first, Hi I’m Elísabet Lúna Edda She/They lesbian. I don’t like being called Elísabet or Elle, call me Lúna.”
“Then I’ll go Raphaella la Cognizi she/her bisexual their girlfriend”
“Doctor Baron Byron Marius von Raum he/him biromantic and asexual their boyfriend”
“You are not a doctor and maybe not a baron also my boyfriend as well” Raphaella interjects
Then the pale woman spoke up “Hi, I’m Loki She/They/He mostly She/They but I prefer feminine terms”
“And I’m Sigyn They/She and I also prefer feminine terms”
“So this is everyone, Marius I think you had a question for them,” Lyfrassir says
“Oh, yeah where is Odin, I have a phrase I want to yell at her,” Marius says
“Does that phrase happen to be Fuck you and Fuck Your Train” Loki questions
“Umm yes how did you know that Loki” Marius questions back
“1. Thor said it before 2. We’ve heard the album, Side Note: give our regards to Gunpowder Tim and Ashes O'reilly they captured us really well also Marius and Raphaella you are somewhat like Thor and Odin with certain traits” Sigyn answers instead
“Wait, Sigyn could you elaborate please, I really don’t to want to be like that homicidal/genocidal maniac,” Raphaella says some panic in her voice
“No, no sweetheart come here……what Siggy mostly meant is that your passion is relatively similar, also your enthusiasm to investigate things but you're smart enough not to investigate and do something” is what Loki says trying to soothe Raphaella “Also Marius, what she means is your passion to fight and protect everyone you care about so fiercely”
“Ohh, okay that's good, thank you, Mrs. Loki”
“Also, I will say again you both have great singing voices”
“Thank you, Mrs. Sigyn”
“Ok, I’m going to ask this before Raphaella does, so how do you exist here if you both are technically dead”
“Damn, Lúna that’s a deep question but mainly through our connection to the bifrost slowly giving my life to the train made me very in tune with the bifrost which is why I’m here, Sigyn is someone a bit different story”
“Loki was attached to the train her’s is direct mine is because of being by her side for the 80 years I eventually started to hear Yog-Sothoth for myself”
“So, if I was exposed why don’t I see the train in my dreams, I have powers but I don’t see the train”
“So our current best guess is that you didn’t know the full extent when you were exposed so you appear here.” Iis what Loki says
“Now loves something you're going to think is fun, both Loki and Sigyn can talk to me in my thoughts which was nice for the 7ish years I was alone. But I also found this out after I met Nastya. They can technically take over my body and have conversations with people that way but I need to be asleep for it to work and only one of them can do that at a time.”
“Oh, yeah that was fun”
“For you Loki, for Nastya and myself it was very confusing especially when you started to play Nastya’s viola when I DON'T PLAY VIOLA, ” Lyf says the last part higher and a bit more dramatically
Loki and Sigyn started to laugh until Loki still laughing says ”Oh, my gods her face was precious, I had so much fun with that”
“I’m aware. Why are all the people I consider my family mean lesbians? Legitimately it’s all of them,” Lyfrassir says in a changing tone
“You say that like me and Sigyn didn’t lock what used to be the all-fuckers observation deck from this reality. So you don’t have to deal with her except in reincarnation from death, the fucking disrespect Prose”
“Sorry, Loki but you know what I mean”
“I would fucking hope Mx. Prose,” Loki says mischievously
“So, you would say fuck that proves the debate over the fuck at the end of the song that Jonny and Tim have been having for as long as she had written that line” Raphaella states
“I sure hope my wife would say fuck as her first words to me specifically were and I quote “Fuck, your so pretty” surprise to not even the kids whose parents were in the rebellion we were married 3 ½ years later” Sigyn interjected
“I’m still glad you got Tim to play me, she did very well on the emotion part”
“I mean Marius and myself had first pick of whose part we were telling and as a part of letting them make the story another part of that requirement was we got to play ourselves in the prison scene and it had to be told accurately no major changes also the fact it was to remember someone not for the fact it's just a story, an unspoken requirement was it has to focus on love at the end, hence the ending we have before Terminus”
“Well then why did you want Odin” Sigyn questions
“It was mostly my fault that we didn’t leave with them as is expressed every time performed as I’m the one who said "Ah, then we should be going." but Ivy is the one who had to drag us to the ship also Odin is the one whose motivations were the most fascinating to me” is what Raphaella explains to her
“My decision of Thor was kinda a prerequisite to her decision of Odin, I wanted to yell at Odin herself about the train so Thor was the best decision. Raph knew my feelings about the train and was generally fine with me yelling at her like she was Odin as opposed to me destroying something so our decisions were made. And Tim and Ashes wanted more duets so it worked out well” is what Marius adds on
“Well I guess I should ask, how did you remove the observation deck” Raphaella ask pulling out a notepad
“Ok, for the first 6 months after Ragnarok until Prose over here legitimately told her to fuck off they were stuck dealing with Odin. After that, they could interact with Me because before, Odin had blocked anyone else out. But Sigyn hadn't realized as their connection was always a bit weaker, so we were still stuck reenacting the events of the train.” Loki started
“Then 2 years after Ragnarok and 2 years of dealing with the voices and the void’s song Odin tricked me into cutting off communication with the train.” Lyfrassir then interjected
“Yes, that happened, which is right around when I had fully been reached out to. And then broke the cycle by making a different movement during me and Loki’s first moment in the story. With me being aware Odin couldn’t force the cycle anymore. So then Loki and I were able to lock the observation deck away together.” Sygin continues on
“Odin, had made them cut off contact with me and the train, with her mostly gone and not accounting for Sygin, Sygin was able to reach out and pull them back to the train, if that didn’t work the other idea was for me to play viola.”
“When I got back to the train I was hugged harder than I thought was possible. Now in Yggdrasil hair is important because hair is done by family, close friends, and partners but entirely undone and loose hair is represent of mourning and majorly cut hair represents the loss of anyone to do your hair. When I saw Loki after the being brought back to the train mostly loose hair mourning of me” Lyfrassir somewhat explains
“I still say my hug and my hair being undone was justified Mx. Prose” Loki snarks at them flicking their nose
“Yeah, yeah wasn’t my fault the all-motherfucker, fucking tricked me” Lyfrassir snarks
There were gasps of horror, hands clasped to hearts, scandalized looks most of which came from Sigyn, Loki, and Lúna, and then Loki scolded with “ Lyfrassir , swearing, in this company? How fucking could you?”
To which Lúna added ” In front of your baby sister , no less”
Then Raphaella said ”Forget in front of your baby sister, in front of your partners”
Sigyn limited herself to just the gasp and shocked look so Marius could go in for the kill.
Which he did with a “Lyf, I’m so disappointed,” he said, keeping his voice calm and level. “How fucking dare you.”
With how calmly he said it that set Sigyn, Loki, and Lúna off again. Marius and Raphaella lasted about 5 seconds before bursting out laughing and Raphaella shoving them a bit with the tip of her wing.
All this laughing causes Marius and Raphaella to be able to hear one of their collective favorite sounds in the expansive universe. Lyfs laughter, a somewhat uncertain thing but melodic all the same even though they softly snort when they laugh. Hell, since Marius heard it at first he's been desperate to hear it as much as possible in prison going to do progressively more over-the-top ridiculous shit to hear it again but as long as he and Raph can hear their laugh, it was worth it.
Now they both can say something
“I’ve always loved your laugh it's so pretty, especially with the soft snort at the end it's adorable, hell I would do progressively more over the top, ridiculous shit to hear it while in prison”
“He did, especially during the “glue incident” and the whole “paint incident” again I'm sorry about that”
“It's fine Raphaella, they did laugh for legitimately over half an hour when they got home both of those days and on the day of the “paint incident” they did it while absolutely covered in paint especially happy about the half hearts on their cheeks they got from being pushed in the middle of you two for the polaroid photo, which if i remember was stuffed into the photo album that was taken from Yggdrasil” Lúna exposes
“Lúúúúnnaaa, whyyyy……but yes I do still have that photo, actually a few photos from that day because that happened on the first day of Júní I also have photos from Midgard Pride that year with a 14-year-old Lúna, I might be able to summon the photo album that encompasses the 29 years of my mortal life and one from the 13 years of immortal life with Nas but I can show in the morning,” Lyfrassir says
“As me and Siggy have not heard this can anyone explain this” Loki asks
“Maybe, but I can say that it was my day off so I was in plain clothes that included a white “I’m Just They/Them causing May/Hem” shirt and a light long jean skirt that I was very fond of, that I couldn’t wear again”
“Ohhh I somewhat, get the picture of how much paint but I do want to see the actual picture”
“Fine Loki, I’ll try to summon the picture”
Suddenly a framed square polaroid photo appears in Lyfrassir’s hand the white part a bit stained with paint and written in their handwriting is the title The Paint Incident 6/1 the actual picture is of Raph on the far left with half a pink heart outline on her right cheek, Marius on the far right with a blue half-heart outline on his left cheek, Lyfrassir in the middle with a half-a-pink heart outline on their left cheek and a blue half heart outline on their nose is a dab of yellow paint, from all the paint in all three of their hair, the small splashes of paint on the rest of faces and large paint splashes on the clothing visible parts of clothing it looks like all three were pelted with water-balloons that had paint in them. The smile from Lyfrassir doesn't look forced, it seems very genuine as do Raphaella's and Marius'
“Ok, I got the photo want to see fallegi fiðluleikarinn minn og vængjaða gyðjan mín, before I show Loki and Sigyn”
“Yeah, I want to see the photo again as you snatched it as soon as Ivy took the photo, as apparently if the prison guards saw that photo, it would be taken away, but as the one that lives in Marius' breast pocket from the same day proves I don’t think it would have.” Raphaella states
As they hand the photo over to Raphaella they ask "Wait, you have a photo from that day,"
to what Maruis responds nonchalantly "Yeah if Ivy's brain is hooked to the demonic somewhat sentient printer she can print parts of memories, he made a book of pictures when we were being mopey idiots according to the rest of the crew."
"You have a pretty genuine smile, Prose also if you weren't bushing rainbow at that point it would have been so obvious. Now would anyone like a drink? We should be close enough to the dining car so we can go get and make drinks, or Sigyn and I could try to move the cart.”
“OH, I would like a Mudslide if possible or if not a Chocolate martini,” Lúna asks
“Since when has my little sister been drinking”
“Since dealing with the fucking Doctor also in terms of actual age I’m 35 a decade and ½ over the drinking age for Midgard also I don’t entirely look 15 so…bars let me in”
“Ok, Loki does the Train still have Mead,”
“Umm yes, I believe so”
“Good, I can’t deal with any other alcohol right now, loves”
“Whisky on the rocks,” Raphaella says immediately
“Grasshopper if cocktail or an Old Fashioned” Marius follows
“That is a difference in drinks,” Sigyn tells him
“I’m aware but my tastes in food are apparently "weird" according to the crew, perks of growing up on a starving in civil war planet I guess"
Once everyone had their drinks Lyfrassir asked “Now, I want to know about the printer, if I'm going to be on the ship I want to know what the problem is mainly because as bosun i need to know if i need to fix it,”
“Oh the printer has been like this for centuries, even since before Marius and me we’re there everyone has their own horror stories with it except Nastya as we have learned the printer is very much sentient and Cyberian which is why Nastya doesn’t have problems but otherwise we can’t stab, burn, or shoot the printer,” Raphaella says
“Ok good to know” They respond back
The group continues with drinks then Loki says “Prose your just lucky the all mother-fucker hasn’t started up trash dinner meetings again, but i guess that would mean reviving Thor who I do miss constantly but would keep trying to push her out the window”
“Oh, yeah I did read about those dinner meetings in school, they were every other week or so and you would discuss important things on how to keep the economies of Asgard, Midgard, Vanaheim, Jotunheim, Alfheim, Nidavellir, Niflheim, Muspelheim, and Helheim afloat. Gods upon Hel that was a lot,” Lúna states
“And I assume those meeting were actually about keeping correct me if i’m wrong but i believe those meetings consisted of Thor, Baldr, Hodr, Freyja and her twin Frey, Tyr, Heimdall, Bragi, Odin's wife Frigg, Loki and her cousin Hela all under her thumb but I mean pretty sure Frigg was already there”
“1. You're absolutely right about who was there, 2. Yes it was to keep all planets and everyone there under her thumb 3. Forgot the bitch was gay, 4. Marius, I see your hand and I assume it is about the Hel, Hela, and Helheim thing so Hela, my cousin, was assigned to watch over the planet of Helheim also known as the prison colony of Hel and that clear it up kid,”
The group finishes their drinks then Loki says ”Prose as much as I like having you, your partners, and sister here you guys have to go soon time moves differently here”
“Oh, thanks Loki I’ll remember to tell Tim and Ashes,”
“Wait, Prose you forgot your metal sword hair stick and the rose one here last time, and the sword one is more important as you always want to have a concealable weapon with you,”
“Thank you Sigyn I’ll see you both when I can”
"Now off I want to spend time with my wife," Loki says
"Correction you want to make out with your wife,"
"Fuck off Lyfrassir,"
"Fine I will go,"

Everyone slowly wakes up in their beds and the small sharp silver sword with an intricate handle stuck in the top part of a Dutch braid and a silver stemmed rose with a rainbow bloom. Marius is in the middle and Raphaella is a light sleeper as they have found out. So they’re trying not to wake their sleepy partners. They slip out of bed to go check on Nastya who probably fell asleep in the hallway with a thick blanket. She is so Lyf carefully picks her up into a fireman's carry (AN it was going to be a princess/bridal carry but from how I was imagining her sleeping on the floor this was the easiest) making sure the thick warm blanket doesn’t fall off her. Nastya’s mercury blood makes this whole situation a bit difficult as liquid mercury is much denser than blood. Hence, Nastya is much heavier than someone else her same height and weight, but Lyfrassir has been doing this for a few years at this point so they barely struggle under her weight anymore. So they carefully brought her to the room that was designated as hers.
Then, they head back up to the room where their partners are where they find Raphaella pretending to sleep as her wings are slightly fluttering, so they walk up to their girlfriend and easily picking her up in a princess carry and whisper in her ear “You're doing a terrible job of pretending to be asleep love” their voice still rough with sleep
She retorts with “Well what if I am you went missing, also why did you pick me up” still whispering so as not to wake both of their boyfriend
Raph adjusted herself in their strong tattooed arms wrapping her arms around their neck and kissing them back with a fury, her really hoping that they taste like the mead they had on the train but minty toothpaste is also fine. Mead as it turns out which means she probably tastes like whisky. Oh, Hades she knows they think whisky isn't as good as mead but that they will drink it if they are particularly.
Still the two kissed like how natural it is for stars to die and planets form the kiss proving that the two were so natural, Lyf had to pull back for a minute still touching her nose to nose because as they whispered to their girlfriend “I still need to breathe gyðja,” to which she whispers back “Loser,” after a small intake of air back to hungrily kissing like the only oxygen left in the universe on each other's lips.
Eventually, Raph pulls back “I don’t think we should keep doing this in the room where our boyfriend is currently sleeping,”
“No, I don’t think we should,”
Hmmm, what to do what to do,”
“Leave, him a note and go snog/make out on the couch,”
“Yeah, that works,”
So they let Raph down so they can write out a note saying
Hey, Love
I had to bring Nastya to her room as she probably had fallen asleep in the hall and I apparently was a bit too loud and woke Raph you know she’s a light sleeper. As I know how you are when you don’t sleep too well so me and Raph are going to go downstairs. I hope you sleep well, love you

Then Lyfrassir suddenly gets picked up into Raphaella’s arms
“Why also what does the A stand for”
“Why well you picked me up so I thought you deserved to have a taste of a bit of the same medicine also you know how strong flying makes a person”
“Fine but you never answered my second question”
“I’ll tell you when we get to the living room ok love,”
“Okay gyðja,”
“Are you just calling me goddess now,”
“Yes, is that a problem”
“No not at all just confuse me that you call me a goddess”
“Well, the only Goddess that was entirely on Midgard were the Valkyries and they were the only people from Asgard to have wings and Valkyries were always fierce protectors, and your genuine outfit especially with the angelic headpiece reminds me of an old Yggdrasilan goddess from myths that Móður would paint on her murals. That make sense,”
“Yeah, we’re also at the couch want to set you down or drop you,”
“My joints are being a bit difficult,”
“Ah the joys of becoming immortal, as an older person,”
“Oh, shut up love, I was 29 you were 26-27 also I had arthritis due to being transport police we were mostly behind desks also genetically shity joints”
“Oh, yeah sorry,” Raph says setting them down gently
“Meh, it’s fine I usually don’t feel the pain because well the bifrost but if I use a lot of it like I did on the train I can feel it a bit more. Now what does the A stand for,”
“Fine it stands for Alessandra, my full name is Raphaella Alessandra la Cognizi which is very much a terran name which is where my great great grandma and nana immigrated from there in Terre they had my great grandpa who was Half terran he got married, and had Gigi and with her wife had my dad and I have both great great grandma and great great nana’s names and the last name is the same, thankfully Raphaella is my first name better that Alessandra,”
“I do think the name Alessandra is pretty, but if you don’t like it I won’t use it or nicknames based on that name, now do you want to play something in the background while we snog”
“Glad you think the name Alessandra is pretty the only reason i don’t like it is because of the meaning given Raphaella’s meaning is just as bad but I don’t really like it, but I want to watch an animated cartoon from earth called Avatar the Last Airbender,”
“Ok, I am curious in your travels have you ever met someone with the name Sasha,”
“No but I’m pretty sure that’s the name of a character who dies early and then gets replaced in Jonny’s horror writing”
“Oh how tragic? I think”
“I mean it is tragic horror so yes it does end up with a murder/suicide of two queer lovers”
“Oh, Gods”
“Yep the show is on can we make out now,” She asks slowly moving to sit on top of them as she is shorter than them Lyf is probably only shorter than 6,6 Brian, and even then only by an inch with means they are taller than Ashes and Tim who are both 6,4. TS who is 5,9 herself and Nastya at 5,8 a foot taller than Marius at 5,5 Lúna at 5,3 and Ivy and Jonny at 5,1.
"Yes go ahead”
“Ok love”
And they go back to snogging on the couch, both of them fully happy the others is there

1. both of them are still in stupid pj and here Lyf's is a shirt that Raph and Marius made that says The Mechanisms Made a Musical of my Truma and all I got was this Shity T-shirt the letters are glittery a stolen hoodie from Marius and flannel purple plaid pj pants and Raphs is the "Why did the two red blood cells break up because their romance was all in vein” t-shirt and sleep shorts with a beaker pattern
