Chapter 1: Far From Home

Chapter Text

Jaune Arc was many things in his life.

He was a brother of seven sisters. A leader of his own team. A partner to the great Pyrrha Nikos. Weiss's former admirer. Fearless leader and vomit boy to both Nora and Yang respectively. The weakest amongst his group of friends, and....and a fraud.

Jaune was many things and so much more. But what he currently was right now was...confused. One moment, he was getting ready to head out after sleeping in for half the morning while the rest of his team were already out, then the next he...was here...wherever here was.

Taking a moment to look around at his surroundings, Jaune found himself standing in what is clearly not one of Beacon's long hallways that were supposed to be outside his dorm room. No, what he found instead was a gas station, a street, and an unbroken moon hovering in the raining night covered sky above.

Safe to say....Jaune was the most confused he has ever been in his entire life.

How?

How in the world did he get here, in the middle of a gas station after only walking through his dorm room door?

How is it that it's night time and raining when it was only just a quarter past twelve in the afternoon with clear skies?

And how, by all things that is remnant, is there a full, unbroken, bright and perfect...moon?

....How?

"Uhhh" was the intellectual response Jaune gave as he stood stock still surveying his surroundings over again.

It was....a strange sight to say the least. Not something you would expect when first walking out of your dorm room yet...here he was.

And Jaune wasn't sure what to make of it as it took him a few seconds longer of disbelief to properly formulate a coherent thought.

"Ookay, this is weird" he thought while continuing to take everything in. Was he still sleeping? Is this some sort of weird dream? It definitely would explain how he just magically appeared here after only stepping out of his room but....what was up with the moon? What kind of dream was he having that the moon looked completely different to the one he was familiar with? It didn't really make any sense.

But then again, when have dreams ever had?

Disregarding the whole moon thing for a moment, this dream was really giving nightmarish, horror vibes with the whole rainy night at a gas station in the middle of nowhere. Any moment now a Grimm, serial killer, or Nora was going to pop out and try to either kill him or demand an eternal supply of pancakes with the threat of having his legs broken hovering over his head.

That last one in particular was a reoccurring one for reasons Jaune wasn't willing to explain....

But looking around more and especially behind him with the expectation of seeing the missing door he entered from, what Jaune found was, one, that he was right, the door was gone. And two, standing in its place was a....local communication terminal. Or something remarkably similar to one.

It looked...old, different. Stepping into it Jaune picked up what he can only guess was the receiver for the actual communication, but after examining the whole object more he can definitely say that it was less technologically advanced than the scroll powered or CCT towers back at home.

This should have been the second clue, right next to the very intact moon that something was very wrong with this entire situation. But Jaune, being his clueless self, has yet to fully comprehend the extent of his peculiar condition. He was only further confused by what he was seeing, as he brought the receiver to his ear only to hear a long drawn out ring on the other end.

"How the heck am I supposed to use this thing?" said Jaune with a confused look.

Fiddling with the receiver and dialing in random numbers with little success on getting it to work the way he wanted, Jaune gave up and place the receiver back on it's hook only for it to immediately ring afterwards, making the wanna be knight jump in surprise. Blinking down at the device as it continued to ring, Jaune took a moment to cautiously look around outside his booth before with a bit of hesitation, picked back up the receiver and answered the call.

"Uhh, hello?"

"Hello Jaune!!" Cheerfully answered an unfamiliar female voice.

Blinking at the unexpected chipper tone, Jaune took the receiver off his ear to look at it, then out into the raining street, back at the receiver, before placing it back against his ear with even more caution.

"...Hey, who uhh, who is this?"

" It's God-" immediately without any hesitation, Jaune hung up the old terminal and stood there in complete silence with the only sound being the symphony of the light rain drops outside.

He was convinced....He was in a dream!! Yep, definitely in a dream. A weird one too at that. Yep, yep, just another weird dream to add to the list of weird and crazy dreams. Nothing out of the norm here haha.

(Ring, Ring), (Ring, Ring).

Jaune stared at the ringing device and did nothing.

(Ring, Ring), (Ring, Ring).

He honestly didn't want to answer it. He didn't want to further enable this already weird situation.

(Ring, Ring), (Ring, Ring).

"....it's not going to stop ringing is it" he said with a sigh.

(Ring, Ring), (Ring, Ring).

Giving into defeat, Jaune once again picked up the receiver and placed it against his ear. No sooner than when he did he was immediately bombarded with the insulted voice of the woman on the other end.

"How rude!!! How could you hang up in the face of a Goddess such as myself. Have you no shame!?" she cried, her voice laced with annoyance.

To say that Jaune wasn't amused was probably an understatement, as he felt that this dream which he originally thought was a horror one was becoming quite silly. A Goddess? Calling him up like an old buddy that he hasn't seen in a long while? Yeah, when can he wake up again?

"You won't wake up" said the supposed Goddess with sudden seriousness.

"What?" Ask a startled Jaune.

The timing in which she said that, it was almost like-

"I read your mind?" She finished for him, making it all the more unnerving the more she spoke.

"I am a Goddess after all" she said with a huff, but soon after her voice took on a more sober tone.

"You're not dreaming Jaune" she whispered to him.

"You've been displaced from your own world, and now find yourself stranded somewhere in the multiverse and I'll admit, that's my fault. Last time I'll try to out drink a three headed colossal"

That last part was said more to herself than it was to him, but Jaune wasn't really paying much attention as he try to wrap his head around what this strange woman just shared with him. What did she mean he was stranded somewhere in the multiverse?

"Imagine a space that contains all there is and can be" she began explaining. "A collection of worlds and universes so different and parallel from each other where anything one could conceptualize could happen. This space is known as the multiverse. Now, imagine another space within it. A mysterious, whirling, chaotic vacuum of space that some refer to as the veil, or the space between worlds. It is an ocean so vast that it separates the multitude of different worlds from one another and...are you understanding all of this so far?"

"I uhh..."

"What I mean Jaune," she stress his name. "You're stuck in a different world. As in, not your own anymore. You've been taken. Gone, poof!! Spirited away and into the vast stream of multiple worlds. Isekai-"

"I think I get it"

"An alien!!"

A long drawn out sigh left Jaune's lips as he felt the stress of his situation bearing down on him. He couldn't believe what he was hearing. It sounded like a plot from a comic book he once read, and it wasn't a very good one either. Was this what this was? Having himself experience a bad comic book plot?

"Maybe I should lay off on reading too many comics like Pyrrha suggested. It's starting to have a weird effect on me" he said with a shake of his head.

"....You don't believe me" she stated flatly, to which Jaune didn't bother denying as she apparently, can read his thoughts either way.

"Nope" he popped his lips, similar to a certain red reaper. "This is all just a big weird dream I'm having, and sooner or later I'm going to wake up, eat some pumpkin Pete's, and forget all about this. Now if you excuse me weird dream lady I'll-"

"Look behind you" she interrupted him.

"...Huh?"

A soft knock echoed quietly through the glass doors of the confined booth, but it might as well have sounded like thunder claps with how Jaune jumped and screamed in a....not so manly manner.

"Oh my gosh!! I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to scare you" said an entirely new, yet familiar voice in a mix of surprise and concern.

After getting his fast beating heart under control, Jaune looked over his shoulder behind him and saw with widened eyes, a young woman.

But not just any young woman. A very familiar young woman.

She was older, far older than he knew her to be, and an inch or two taller with longer, spikier and choppier hair tied in a ponytail with bangs framing over her left silver colored eye. She wore a red and black leather jacket over a black shirt, indigo jeans with a gun holster on her right leg, and brown biker boots. She also had a cute black choker pearl pendant around her pale neck.

She may look different, she may look older and certainly grown more developed and mature, but Jaune could never forget the face of his very first friend at beacon.

Ruby.

"Uhh, is...everything ok?" Asked Ruby with a worried yet guarded expression.

Jaune just stared. His blue eyes wide open in clear disbelief, unable to really put into words the clearly older version of his friend standing in front of him. It was such a surreal moment that all he can really do in response to her worried question was a muted nod and rapidly blinking eyes.

Which definitely wasn't creepy at all.

Thankfully it seemed it wasn't taken as such, as the older version of Ruby merely sighed in relief and spared a disarming smile for the clearly spooked guy trapped in a phone booth at night, with her being the only one around and blocking his way out....

"Okay, no wonder he's a little on edge. I would have felt a little worried too if the roles were reversed" she scolded herself.

"That's great" she said, smiling still. "I was just coming over to ask if you were going to be long is all"

Silence was her answer for a few seconds longer than necessary, but eventually the tongue tied Arc managed to spill a breath of few words through his quivering lips that came out in a high pitched squeal to the ears of the former youngest girl at beacon.

"Just a little bit" he said.

Tilting her head curiously to the side, Ruby gave the blonde boy a strange look before nodding and taking a step back.

"Ok. I'll just be over here with my bike" she thumbed over her shoulder at the motorcycle parked not that far from them. "Just let me know. Cool?"

"Will do" he squeaked out once again.

Giving Jaune another friendly smile, Ruby turns on her heels and began the short trek to her bike to wait on the still spooked boy to finish up. Once she was a good distance away Jaune immediately turned back around and whispered panickingly into the receiver.

"What was that!!?" He asked the Goddess.

"That's Ruby Rose" she stated so simply that it brought a twitch to Jaune's eye as he whispered all the more fiercely.

"Not that- Ruby isn't- that's not Ruby!! I would never dream-"

"And I told you you're not dreaming, dummy" she interjected. "You're in a different world somewhere in the multiverse. That Ruby you just spoke to was, well, another version of her. An older one from the looks of it. Nineteen maybe? Anyway, like I was saying Jaune, I screwed up!! I got shit face drunk, used my godly powers, and fucked you over!!"

Her shouting curses and admitting getting irresponsibly wasted to the point where she misused her powers made Jaune wonder just what kind of Goddess(if she even is one) was she.

"N-no, no. This can't be real" he continues to deny, running his fingers through his messy blonde hair anxiously.

"Look at the moon Jaune!! You could never in your mortal life dream of a full moon like that. Yours is broken, you never seen a whole one before!! Nor could you, like you were about to say, dream of an older Ruby Rose in such great detail. You're even talking through a pay phone for primordial sake, and you don't even know what that is!! Think Jaune Think!!" She yelled.

Jaune was having a full blown freak out as he tried, but failed, to rationalize all the points she made in her argument. He didn't want to believe. He didn't wanted to entertain the thought of what she was saying was true. Doing so was crazy and would mean accepting that...that-

That he was no longer on Remnant.

"But I can make it up to you!!" She quickly brought up, being the excited and enthusiastic voice to Jaune's own scrambled mind. "Though I can't bring you back to your world directly due to some complicated interference on my part...but that's okay!! It would just have to be through the long way. Which involves some help on your end as well. Anyway, Here's how I'll make it up to you first. You'll receive-"

Jaune hung up the receiver and leaned back to rest against the cool glass door behind him, his mind a swarm of a hundred different thoughts. He couldn't stay in this small booth any longer. It was too stuffy, too constraint.

He needed some air.

Turning around and sliding open the booth door, the first thing Jaune did as he stepped out into night air was take a big deep breath. Letting the cool air fill his lungs and some peace back into his chaotic mind.

He wasn't in another world.

He wasn't stranded somewhere in the multiverse.

He wasn't all alone.

He wasn't-

"Rough call?"

Opening his blue eyes to stare down into a silver pair, Jaune looked into the much older face of his fellow leader and friend and realized, unrelatedly, that she had grown to become quite the cute girl.

"Really not the time to think about that Arc" he groaned to himself.

Jaune wasn't really sure how to respond to the Ruby standing in front of him. He can tell that there wasn't any recognition behind those familiar silver eyes of hers, nor was there any of the socially awkward girl that he'd come to know. She was confident, easy going from what he's seen so far. But the air she emanated was still the same friendliness and kindness she gave off from when they had first met.

Jaune needed that kindness.

Needed to talk to a familiar face.

It didn't matter if they were a few years older than he knew them to be. It would still help put his mind at ease, but....he also couldn't shut out the faint whispers telling him that this wasn't his Ruby.

That he should be careful.

Shaking his head and releasing a shuddering breath into the rainy air, Jaune gazed into the curiously faint but concerned smile of the girl in front of him and tried offering a small grin in return.

"Something like that" he answered at last.

Ruby hummed in acknowledgment before letting her gaze studying the boy in front of her. Now that he's no longer obscured in such a small phone booth, she was able to get a good look at him. He was taller than her, blonde, blue eyes and kind of cute, in a dorky kind of way. He had broad shoulders, but the hoodie he wore hid the rest of his frame from her critical eyes.

Speaking of said hoodie, that dorky comment became all the more evident as she couldn't help but laugh at the adorable bunny logo displayed on the front of his chest.

"Nice hoodie" she giggled, while making her way past him.

"It was a prized item" Jaune said weakly in defense, making the older girl laugh all the more as she entered the phone booth, leaving Jaune by his lonesome outside.

Jaune really wanted to say more to her, or at least prove to himself that what that supposed Goddess was saying was simply some twisted joke conjured up by his own imagination. Watching Ruby as she went about her business calling whoever she needed to for a few seconds, Jaune decided against saying anything more and turned back to look out around the gas station.

There weren't many cars here from what he can see. Only the one with its headlights still on, and that was the cop car. No officer inside though.

Even if it was weird that their door was still open.

What's weirder he noticed, was the store. It was dark inside, the lights turned off like there wasn't anyone there yet the open sign was still up. "Must be a mistake" he thought.

But where was the officer?

Jaune's brow furrowed as he pondered on the strangeness of the situation, but immediately shook his head and rid himself of those thoughts.

"I shouldn't take this whole different world thing too seriously" he reminded himself.

Looking around more, Jaune spotted a particular sign standing just between the edge of the entryway of the gas station, and the street leading further up the road into street lights and darkness.

*Welcome to RACCOON CITY. Home of Umbrella*

Jaune never heard of the city before. Nor this umbrella business. So why, for some strange reason, does he suddenly have a very bad feeling?

"Any sign of him?" Asked a young, gentle voice.

"No...nothing. And we looked almost everywhere for him too" answered another voice sadly.

Walking the hallways of beacon academy, two groups of promising first year students of opposite teams met up after the concerning news of a certain blond team leader missing. With no word from him for quite awhile despite several calls and a failed search into his whereabouts, the remaining members of team (J)NPR enlisted the help of their sister team in the hopes of finding their misplaced friend.

"Maybe he took a bullhead out to vale" suggested Blake "We are all on a break from classes after the sealing of the breach. He could have taken the free time to go there"

"Without letting any of us know?" Pyrrha shook her head. "Jaune wouldn't do that. He would message us, offering if there was anything we needed or even asked if we wanted to come with. He would have told us"

Pyrrha was vividly concerned at the thought of where her partner could be. She never would have thought that leaving him to sleep in for a bit would result in her returning to find a neatly made bed and no sign of her partner anywhere. She wasn't really worried at first, thinking that he simply stepped out but after getting no response from her messages or calls, the same with Nora and Ren, she became very concerned. "Where are you Jaune?"

"You know how Jaune is P-money" Yang interjected, her two hands interlocking together behind her head. "He's clumsy, and probably lost his scroll and doesn't even know it yet. Ruby does the same thing sometimes"

"No I don't!!" Cried Ruby, sticking her tongue out at her teasing sister.

"Yes you do" said Weiss, who ignored the look of betrayal on her partner's face. "Need I remind you that yesterday you did that exact thing?"

The impeccable brow Weiss rose in challenge to her words was met with a sheepish Ruby who looked anywhere but at her partner's ice cold stare. She would never admit such a thing. Never!!

"Besides, I wouldn't worry about Arc. Unlike certain people, he at least isn't prone to go out looking for trouble" she sent a pointed glare at each of her fellow teammates who in her opinion, didn't show the slightest appropriate reaction to being properly chastened. With Yang's mischievous smile, Blake avoiding eye contact, and Ruby's innocent pout which wasn't fooling her

"Maybe..." said Pyrrha, still being a little put out at Weiss's kind words.

She was glad that the heiress was no longer harsh towards Jaune. It seemed whatever the two talked about the day after the dance when Jaune asked to speak with Weiss alone bare fruit to a....not quite friendship, but an understanding of sorts. He no longer flirted with her, asked her out or anything. He didn't even go near her too often, giving her space, and the only conversations they had were always initiated by Weiss. It was slow going, but it was progress. She only hopes that nothing more comes from all of it.

But that was probably unlikely.

"I'm just worried that trouble will find him" Pyrrha lamented. "Like the situation with Cardin"

Ruby frowned then, and gave Pyrrha a look "You don't think Cardin is messing with him again do you?" She asked worryingly.

"No way!! Fearless leader can totally beat Cardin in combat class now" exclaimed Nora. "And they're cool now from what I've seen. If they weren't...well"

The dangerous unhinge smile that split across her face was one that gave everyone(except Ren) a cold shiver down their spine. They all knew what that smile meant.

Someone was getting their legs broken.

"Maybe we should hold off on breaking possible innocent people's legs. No matter their former actions" Ren being the voice of reason brought the blood lusted, hammer wielding Nora down from her high with an immediate ease.

"Okay Ren!!" Nora said with a bright smile, as if she never made the threat of performing bodily harm.

None willing to speak on the matter of what just occurred, everyone continued their way down the long hall and towards their respective dorm rooms.

"I guess it couldn't hurt to check out the city" Pyrrha mused, as both teams stood before their room doors.

"That's the spirit Pyrrha!!" Said Yang. "And hey, if we still can't find him we'll just take it up with the headmaster. I'm sure he'll know what to do"

"Yang has a point surprisingly" Weiss said, ignoring the insulted "Hey!!" from Yang. "If we can't find him, the headmaster has the greater means to search for him. It will all work out I'm sure"

Feeling a small hand gently rest on her shoulder, Pyrrha looked over to see a warm pair of reassuring silver eyes staring at her.

"I'm sure Jaune's ok. We'll find him for sure" said Ruby.

Nodding at all her friend's encouraging words and letting a small smile grace her face, Pyrrha couldn't be anymore thankful that she was able to have such good and true friends in her life. If she could, she would trade all the fame in the world and championship titles if that meant keeping these special bonds alive and close to her heart. None of it meant more to her than having what she has now.

Now if only she can get her hands on a certain dense blonde leader, everything would be perfect.

With plans to regroup after taking a moment to prep their things, both teams went ahead and entered their respective rooms to....mysteriously find themselves in a spacious lavish lounge filled with colorless orbs floating in the air?

"Uhh Whaaa?" Said a very confused Ruby, as she and her team looked around with an equally confused (J)PNR who stood just across from them.

"Guys....How did we get here?" asked Blake warily.

Before any one of them could give a straight answer, both of the doors the two teams entered from loudly shut behind them, making them all jump in surprise.

"...Creepy" muttered a subdued Nora.

Overcoming the initial shock first, Yang moved to open what was once team RWBY's dorm room door and saw, to the loud gasp from everyone, an entire whole new world on the other side. The sky was a reddish hue, and the ground jutting in high peak mountains with glowing yellow plains at its foothills. There were many islands and massive pillars of purple crystals floating in the air, and hundreds upon hundreds, if they all were to believe their eyes, Dragons curled around those same crystals or flying in the distant sky.

It was Majestic.

It was Unbelievable.

And it was a positively breathtaking view.

"Woah!!" Said both Nora and Ruby in amazement.

"Where the heck are we?" Whispered Yang, who was a little on edge but couldn't take her eyes away from the impossible sight before her.

"I don't know" said Blake, walking forward to stand next to her partner followed by the others. "But it's clear we're definitely not in beacon anymore"

Ren looks over the blonde brawler shoulder and down the white marble stairs leading outside their door. At the end of the stairs and along the path, there was a large temple of sorts, right next to an equally large colosseum. They were the only structures spotted other than the building they were in and surrounded by an equally large lake with the same pillars of crystals sprouting up from it.

Thankfully, there were no dragons hovering near these ones.

"There appears to be a temple down below" Ren pointed out. "But it would be unwise to venture out with no mean to protect ourselves"

They didn't have their weapons on them before mysteriously coming to this strange place. With what's out there flying around, not Grimm but actual living breathing Dragons of all things, leaving their possibly only safe place would be suicide.

"What I want to know is how did we possibly get here" Weiss folded her arms and frowned. "This should be impossible!! Where even are we?"

"Oh, oh!! Why don't we ask this lady who's been standing behind us" Nora so kindly suggested.

Realizing what the pancake loving member of their group just uttered, everyone instantly became on edge and immediately turned to face the sudden appearance of the mysterious stranger.

But what they turn to find made them all gasp.

Standing in the center of the room was a beautiful, tall, fair skin woman with curly golden hair descending past her shoulders and a pair of vibrant sharp crimson silted eyes with long golden lashes. She was wearing a floor-length pastel golden dress with a deep v neckline laced with crimson trims that exposes much of her bust, and an intricate red tattoo of smaller shapes creating the outline of a dragon's head just above her chest. Up to her left hip the dress also had a high slit, baring the entirety of her long sensual leg for all to see. She was also wearing jewelry, a royal tiara, armbands to necklaces, the most prominent was the golden choker decorated with crimson gems and clear ornaments and so much more.

But what everyone really found most striking about her beautiful appearance was One, her long pointy ears with golden cuff piercings chained together. Two, a set of four black horns with magma crimson tips protruding out the side of her head and jotting backwards with a curve. One pair larger than the other, with the smaller pair being just under the first set. And Three, the very large, and very long, black scale tail with the same flaming magma tip curling behind her back. She also had spots of black scale-like skin on the back of her hands, some on her arms, and the sides of her hips and thighs.

"Well," the mysterious dragon woman said with a smile after finally being noticed. "I was hoping to get a bigger surprise out of you all. But this would have to do I suppose"

With a shrug and a slight movement of her tail, the other couldn't help but feel a sudden primal fear wash over them in the face of this mysterious dragon woman who stood before them. It was like their instincts were screaming at them, telling them to flee, to submit, to not dare raise arms against the being in front of them.

Or death would be their end.

It was like a heavy pressure that shackled them into place, making it difficult for any to speak.

But before it all became too much it lifted, and in its place was a warmth akin to standing in front of a cozy fireplace.

"So anyway, I'm glad you guys could make it here!!" Exclaim the dragon woman cheerfully, as if the cold dread the two teams felt only seconds ago never occurred. "It would have been far more complicated if I accidentally lost you all in the multiverse too"

She laughed, though it sounded forced, almost nervous like. All the same, even though they were a little put off by the unsuspecting behavior, Ren had to look away as it did....interesting things to her well endowed bust. It didn't help that Nora was also glaring at him too.

Finding the courage, Pyrrha cautiously stepped forward and made to address....the dragon faunus? Never has there been a faunus in history with multiple traits as much as this woman has on her, but then again she also has the longest pair of ears she's ever seen. Which wasn't natural, but what else was she supposed to think? She didn't know what else to call the strange woman.

"Um, are you saying you were the one who brought us here?" She asked.

"That's correct" the dragon woman nodded. Smiling at the clearly guarded girl in an attempt to put her at ease "I connected your dorm room doors to my realm after creating this lounge to resemble a piece of what you're familiar with back in your world. And yes, you all are not on remnant anymore"

That much was clear to see after taking one look outside. But hearing it being confirmed, through the mouth of the person who, in her own words, had brought them here....made it all the more real.

"Who are you, and why are we here?" Weiss tensely demanded, followed by the others who looked at the dragon woman suspiciously.

Sighing at the suspicious and guarded looks cast upon her despite the effort to appear harmless, the dragon woman, who was known as the Primordial Goddess of all dragon kind....really wanted a drink.

"As I told all of you, you're in my realm. I am known by many titles and hold dominion over many aspects but most importantly, I am the Goddess of Dragons, as you can very well deduct as to why" she gestured to herself then out towards the hundreds of dragons outside.

"A Goddess?" Said Weiss skeptically.

"Of Dragons?" While Ruby looked in awe.

"That's right" the Goddess smirked smugly, before it melted away to become a more sober frown. "As for why you're here...well, I thought it would only be appropriate. But also entertaining" she muttered that last part, before quickly continuing.

"I'm sure some of you are aware of the multiverse theory, correct?" She asked, and while the question seemed sudden and randomly brought up in the given situation, it was quickly answered nevertheless.

"Where there are an infinite number of different universes, worlds and realities, each one shaped by different events, decisions or actions one made or didn't, creating a completely different world than the current one we know" said Blake, who felt the eyes of everyone on her.

"What? It's been popular lately with my books" she folded her arms in defense.

"Hey, no one's judging" Yang said smiling. "We just should have expected if anyone knew what it was, it would have been you"

"Speak for yourself" Weiss huff, flipping her hair over shoulder haughty "I knew what it was"

"Sure you did ice queen" Yang rolled her eyes, ignoring the affront glare thrown her way.

"Anyway" the Goddess interrupted with some amusement. "Long story short, I've made the critical mistake of....misplacing someone in the multiverse. Now they're stranded and....well, it would be better to show rather than tell"

With a wave of her hand, a large couch manifested out of thin air and in front of a massive holographic screen that was on the wall for all to see. Witnessing such a feat be done with a simple gesture and ease was an interesting experience, but when the Goddess bade for them all to take a seat with the clear intent of showing them something, there was still some hesitation before they made their way to sit.

"What do you think she's going to show us?" Nora whispered curiously, as she took her seat next to Ren.

"I don't know" said Pyrrha, taking her seat.

She had an uneasy look about her as she gazed at the large screen in front of her. Remembering the Goddess's words of misplacing someone and the fact that they were missing a certain blonde leader, made her stomach drop at the stray thought.

"Surely she didn't mean..."

"She mentioned multiverses. Perhaps she wishes to show us something" Ren suggested.

"Whatever her reasons I don't trust her" Weiss sat between Ruby and Blake, her eyes narrowed discreetly at the dragon Goddess who was inspecting one of the orbs she plucked from the air.

"She spirited us away from remnant, our home, with no regard, thought, or permission from any of us. And for what? To see someone we don't even know in, and I can't believe I'm about to say this, in another world? I just don't trust it"

"I get that, but aren't you just a little bit curious about seeing an entire new world? It could be awesome!! Who knows what we'll see" said Yang in anticipation.

"It does sound interesting" added Blake in agreement. "As crazy as it sounds, it's not everyday someone gets to peer into a different world"

"I think it'll be pretty cool!! But," Ruby turns over on the couch to face the dragon Goddess who seemed to have found the correct orb she was looking for as she began making her way over towards the screen. "What about our world? People will start wondering where we are if we're gone too long"

"Oh, you won't have to worry about that" the Goddess replied, looking into the clear orb as if checking on something. "Time here is different than it is in your world. You could technically be here for a hundred years and at most, only ten days of your world's time will pass"

The visible shock on everyone's faces was telling, as they try to wrap their heads around the sheer difference between their world and this Goddess's realm. It really highlighted once again to them all that they truly were far from home.

"What's that?" Asked Nora, referring to the clear orb that was balancing on the woman's fingertips.

The Goddess of dragons tilts her horned head curiously and hummed in response, mulling over on how to best explain the contraption within her grasp. Figuring that there was no point in giving a complicated answer, the Goddess shrugged her scaled shoulders before simplifying it in the best way she could.

"Think of it like a camera that can peer into the vast multiverse. Only, each orb has a designated fixed on a single world or universe"

"Like a tv stuck on a specific channel!!" Cried Nora in realization, getting odd looks from her friends who didn't quite interpreted it in that way.

"Exactly!!" But when their host match their friend with the same level of enthusiasm in agreement, the others couldn't help but sweatdrop in response.

Seeing everyone settled and ready, the Goddess nodded her head in satisfaction before tossing the orb up into the air....and violently swishing it with her large tail towards the screen with such incredible force that it made some of the unsuspecting teens jumped in surprise. Before anyone could think of anything, the orb splash itself into the projection like a pebble thrown into a pond, harmless and undamaged.

Looking over at the Goddess, she gave them all a mischievous grin before pointing at the screen as it began to glow a vibrant blue to the point of near blindness.

"Oh right," Rudy perked up, shielding her eyes from the bright screen as she directed her attention back to the dragon Goddess. "I know you said you're a Goddess and all but, do you have a name?"

Giving the small reaper her full attention, the unnamed Goddess twirl her tail under her to use as a seat, before letting a mysteriously smile grace her beautiful perfect face.

"My name....call me Tia little rose"

The projection flicker to life, and an image that shock and horrified everyone appeared before their very eyes.
