Immortality is a curse but so are the wrong people. They come to haunt you, to use you and to tear you apart. As one steps into the afterlife they have to learn what it means to be immortal, walking among a thread between life and death. You may surpass your memories of the past with time but the past itself remains stuck to you as if it were your own skin. Will one come to the conclusion of how to come to terms with ones own predicament? Will one actively seek their own end or will one learn what it means to live once more? Shall they surpass the boundaries of their own world and perhaps travel beyond the stars into a White Void.

Derek Hale is a high school student who does his best to keep to himself. Until, he ends up with Stiles Stilinski as a lab partner. Derek is an unmovable object, but Stiles is an unstoppable force, and their meeting has consequences across the multiverse.
This is a multiverse story. There is (temporary) major character death, and universes where minor characters have long been dead. There are a lot of stopovers into non-graphic portrayals of lots of different classic AUs. This includes a brief time where they are in an A/B/O AU and where there is brief mpreg. There are lots of other AUs they will stop in, but I wanted to list those two things in particular in case they squick anyone out so badly that even non-graphic representations of them are too much, so you can make your own choices.
This story was originally my NaNoWriMo project, posted on my Tumblr. It is not complete and fully edited for AO3. The essence of the story hasn't changed, but I had to do a lot of pacing and characterization edits that weren't possible at the speed of NaNo.
