Summary
Soulmates, remnants of stardust and magic, are supposed to find each other and live out their lives together, but in a world where souls entwine and binds people to literally live and die together, not everybody wants to risk dying through their soulmates. Taking care to keep natural eyes covered is one way to avoid getting soul entwined----and assassination is another.
For six long years, Kim Seungmin's life has been plagued by assassins but when he finds himself in an unpleasant predicament, despite his better judgment, he ends up making a deal with one of them in exchange for his life. Turning an assassin into his own personal guard dog for a few pennies seemed like a great idea at first, at least better than getting a knife buried in his throat.
But the longer he keeps Hwang Hyunjin on a leash, the more he finds himself embroiled in deadly situations and entangled in strange feelings that force him to rethink his ideas of good and bad, of dying and living, and of love and loss----all the while racing to find and kill his soulmate before he gets killed himself.
