Chapter Text

Cody, Coltello, was just vibing. He'd been a mercenary for quite awhile now. But then he crossed paths with Bruce Wayne's butler Alfred Pennyworth. And my oh my, every penny spent on a date with Alfred was worth it. Every bit of blood and bruise was as well to defend his man and then be scolded and coddled.

Cody knows Alfred can handle his own. Alfred knows Cody can take care of his own injuries. But that doesn't stop either of them. Even Bruce's disdain for the mercenary doesn't halt the relationship, just accelerates it. Because telling Cody he can't do something makes him want it more. And Alfred, well, he's always been a bit of a rule breaker…

Ariesand'r is most definitely not from Gotham. Sure, the Tamaranean looks human, but the poor guy barely understands English, let alone social cues and typical human things. So of course, Alfred drags the man into the Manor and hires him as a gardener after he meets him, pretending to be oblivious to the fact that Alex isn't human.

Alfred also pretends not to notice how Bruce and Clark and Alex all look at each other when the other isn't looking. If only Bruce would give Alfred the same courtesy regarding Coltello…

Liam Jone’s honestly just wanted to live his life. But since he’s a freaking cambion, child of a powerful demon and a mortal woman, his life is cursed to always be a bit chaotic. And of course since he’s helping ex rogues Ivy and Harley keep their noses clean and out of trouble he’s on the Bat’s watchlist; then again the fact that liam, or The Witch as he’s known, isn’t a normal human and considered a Meta might be why he’s on the Bat’s watchlist originally but helping the ex rogues isn’t helping the Bat’s opinion of him. But Liam doesn’t care, the old Bat can go choke on a d*ck somewhere. He doesn’t care about the jerk’s opinions. Until he accidentally falls in love with the Bat’s second eldest son, Jason Todd. Sure, he still doesn’t want or care for approval but he’d like to be able to kiss or hangout with Jay without the Bat trying to arrest him or something.

Dick and Victor- Nightwing and Cyborg- had been working together for awhile and have slowly fallen in love. Sure, their lives make things a bit hard but they always try to set time aside for each other. But the Bat’s obsession with trying to identify some new vigilantes is beginning to annoy Dick more than normal. He just needs one freaking date night not to get interrupted so he can propose to his boyfriend, is that too much to ask for?

Barbara Gordon is so glad she only does the tech and comms these days, it makes hiding her pregnancy from the team easier. But she needs to tell the Bats soon because she’s already five months along. But every time she goes to tell them something happens so she puts it off. Barry is trying to help her and be supportive but he’s so awkward and honestly scared of her honorary father Bruce that he’s scared he’s gonna get to find out what Bruce's contingency plans are for him when Bruce finds out that Barry got Babs pregnant. Sure, Commissioner Gordon scares Barry but thankfully after reassuring Gordon that he wasn’t going to abandon Babs, the Commissioner has mostly accepted Barry into the little family he has. But Batman… Barry is honestly tempted to just try to hide his future kid and life from the Bat but he knows that it wouldn’t work because Batman is fuckin’ Batman the world’s Greatest Detective so it won’t work. Why does the Bat have to be so scary all the time?

Orson Nathanael Raleigh seems to be a normal guy and fairly handsome; he’s 6’1”, has short curly dark hair, and bright blue eyes. And he’s a good lawyer. He’s also the new hero known as Eros living in the Glades; a dangerous, crime-ridden area of Starling City. Oliver Queen, aka the Green Arrow, has a bit of an awkward start with Eros but they manage to be a good team whenever they cross paths. And maybe it’ll lead to something more than just a professional partnership?

Tim Drake (Red Robin) and Connor Clark (Superboy) tend to get called into work during their date nights and it is annoying to say the least. Hopefully Bruce either gives up trying to find the identities of the new little hero group that’s popped up in Gotham or he succeeds in identifying them soon because everyone is getting tired of having their plans ruined because of Bruce’s obsession with knowing everything and everyone’s identities and motives.

Simon ‘Lou’ Barnes seems like your normal everyday citizen of Gotham; poor, lives in Crime Alley, and a bit traumatized. But the kid has also managed to get on Red Hood’s radar more than once as both a civilian and as a vigilante known as Achilles or Shifter. Red Hood wants to adopt this punk before Bruce hears of the kid, because honestly Jason’s already a bit attached and protective of the punk.

Achilles is doing his best to try and stay off the Birds and the Bats radar but oops, apparently his best friend Damian is one of the Birds. Thankfully Damian isn’t going to rat him out since he trusts Lou isn’t going to become a rogue.

Danny Fenton moves to Gotham with his sister not long after he half died. Jasmine had found out about his half death and freaked out, rightfully so, and finally snapped. She fought their parents for custody and won and now they’re starting over in Gotham. Danny slowly starts doing vigilante stuff as Phantom and meets a few other young vigilantes- Spider-Man, Achilles, and Robin- while patrolling and they kinda form their own little team, much to the annoyance of Batman who’s obviously not thrilled that his Robin is off in a new team instead of working solely with the other Birds and Bats.

Peter Parker just can’t catch a break. First he gets bit by some freaky ass spider that crawled up his sink, gets some weird powers from the weird spider, and before he can talk to his Uncle Ben about it, Ben gets shot by some random crackhead while working as a paramedic, and then Aunt May dies from cancer not long after living in Gotham. But thankfully some morally gray vigilantes of Hell’s Kitchen, an area of the Bowery protected by Deadpool and Daredevil, decide to take Spider-Man in and try to raise him as best they can.

J’onn J’onzz is a Martian and Tyche Dylan is a Greek god. Their story starts out a bit chaotic, but are we really surprised? Well, the whole Justice League was surprised when Tyche- a tall man with literal silver it seems for flesh and copper for eyes- appears beside them when they’re fighting some high tech robots sent by some bad guy they haven’t dealt with before. Tyche is wearing a mural crown, has wings, and ancient greek armor, and is using a sword to fight. And from as violent as he’s fighting the JL are just glad he seems to be on their side.

Matt Murdock is 100% sure he’s in over his head but he’s not going to stop. Sure, he’s trying to keep most of the crime out of the Bowery, avoid the Birds and Bats as much as possible, try to keep his idiot boyfriend from getting arrested, and work his day job as a lawyer without blowing his own cover of being a vigilante himself, but now he’s also trying to raise a young teenager who’s also a vigilante and he’s sure he’s getting gray hairs by the dozen each day. Trying to balance being a lawyer, a vigilante, a boyfriend, and now a father on top of everything else is getting a bit much but at least Wade is at least trying to make things easier by not doing as much mercenary work and is crashing more often at The Witch’s place when he needs to recover so that Matt isn’t as stressed about taking care of both Wade and Peter.

But then Peter starts making friends. And sure, Matt’s glad the kid has some friends his own age and isn’t so depressed but why do they have to be a couple of vigilantes with no sense of self preservation? Matt’s sure if he keeps buying all this medical supplies the government is going to think he’s running some sort of backroom hospital.

Mostly DC Universe but I’m stealing characters from different universes- like the MCU or CW- and some other fics of mine. <3

Tw:

homophobia, transphobia, dysphoria, hate words/slurs, hate crimes, violence, rape, blood, murder, weapons, scars, mentions of self harm, ptsd, torture, criminal actions, gangs, villains, drugs, and dangerous activities.

I’ll try to put warnings at the beginning of chapters or scenes when I think they’re necessary but remember, this is a fanfic loosely based off of some very violent fictional worlds so if you’re going to get triggered, try to take care of yourself and just don’t read this fic. <3

Notes:

The first real chapter of this story will be posted in a week or two hopefully but I make no promises <3
