The Vampire Hunter and the Apothecary

Summary:

Leon needs a woman to start the lineage of Belmont clan, to keep his promise to Sara.

Notes:

This is the story of how Leon meats a woman that would be his wife and the mother of his children.

 Leon sees the potential woman in front of him. She doesn't know that she is watched by the former Baron or that he was there. Leon couldn't help but to force her to marry him. Selfish as it sounds, he needs her to continue the lineage.

 What Leon doesn't know was that both of her parents were dead. Poor girl would anyone say to her as if she lost them at very young age. the truth to be told, she was used to it. She was strong to keep an image of a calm person at the hardest times. To others, she is a nobody. To a group of people, she is Vivian.

 Vivian, the daughter of an healer that became an apothecary at Cronqvist family. She served Elisabetha for few years, only to cure her illness. A little thing she knew, her lady would be dead sooner or later. Most people blamed on Lord Cronqvist's physicians for being in incompetent at their job. After Elisabetha's death, Vivian immediatly left without an explanation, puting the physicians lifes in danger but she didn't care as long as her life is saved.

 Back at the present, Vivian stared at the a forest as Leon still stares at her. She felt that someone was there, making her feel uncomfortable. Vivian turns around to see Leon looking for a particular person.

 "Is something wrong, Lord Belmont?" Vivian asked, not knowing what he had gone through.

 "Drop the formality. We are equals now."

 Vivian stares at Leon confused for a while, completely unusual from someone so feared and respected like him to say something like this. All what she knew from Elisabetha was that Leon was engaged with Sara Trantoul and the wedding supposed to happen few days ago. What went so wrong on their special day.

 "Did you lost her or something?"

 Leon didn't want to speak about this. He lost Sara because of Mathias' twisted plan to gain immortality. He needs a woman to continue his lineage and Vivian is like the only solution available to do this. That might be against her will, but they have no choise.

 "Sara is... gone because of Mathias."

 Vivian stares at Leon in pure shock. This isn't what Elisabetha would want from her husband. This makes her sick to the stomach now. She didn't knew about that side of Lord Cronqvist. Who knows what other things he might done.

 "I don't deserve to know what you have being through. I'm not good to confort people but if you want to marry only to have descendants, you have to respect the mother of your children."

 Vivian was wise, just like Mathias. Leon could feel that she spoke the truth from her pale pink lips. If he wants her, he has to respect her as she respects him as well. Maybe she isn't like Sara and he meants from personality. While both are kind and have a strong heart, but there was something that mades Vivian different from his beloved Sara. The apothecary was more realistic due to her profession.

 Then something hits Leon's mind as he still stares at Vivian. Her hazel eyes reminds him of one person tha was closer to Mathias and Elisabetha. He doesn't understand why she was familiar to him. Leon sees Vivian almost scared as she stares down at the ground.

 "Are you alright?"

 Vivian looks at Leon as he was worried at her. She didn't remember when was the last time when someone cared of her.

 "I think so. It makes me sick because a man wouldn't care of his wife if she doesn't give him a son."

 That made Leon to think twice. He thinked like this as well. He wants to cherish her not only as the mother of the Belmont children, but also as his wife and his other half when they both need the most.

 "I never expected that Mathias can be cruel. His actions will be reflects later in his future."

 And she was right. Leon knows that his former best friend's actions will affect in his life. Leon needs to make the movement to Vivian.

 "Aren't you the same Vivian that served Mathias' wife?"

 Vivian giggles at him as if he finally found out about her.

 "The same woman that tooked care of her."

 Leon brings Vivian closer to him. He would take care of her. Sure that he still loves Sara but he has to make the decision before is too late.

 "What are you going to do now, Leon?"

 He holds the ring that supposed to belong to Sara, but he need to give this to Vivian as a promise. Both women are important to him as they are his greatest strength.

 Leon takes Vivian's hand and puts the ring to her finger. At first, she didn't understand what that means since only nobles can have it. It was then what message Leon, one of the strongest man known in the world of knights, was tring to sent to her.

 She was going to be his wife. They need or their descendants to stop Mathias from harming innocent people and the world to be in a reign of terror.

 This was supposed to be Sara, not her. Vivian could feel a strange energy coming out of nowhere, She saw a ghost that resembles of Sara Trantoul. She smiles at Vivian, noding her head happily at them.

 They are Leon's partners. Sara is the eternal bride, Vivian is the legal wife.

Notes:

Many would point out that this should be a arranged or marriage of convenience, so I decide to give much a softer version of it. Also Leon's wife is an unnamed woman and I give her an name.

I like the version where Leon would love both women (Sara and Vivian) and keep their memories as part of history of Belmont clan. Both girls are matriachs of the clan as they are important people to Leon.
