I was scrolling through my timeline on Instagram. I saw the picture of my idol and friend China Anne McClain.
We haven't talked in forever.. she barely be on the social media anymore .
I hope she is ok.
Damn I should have gave her my number when we met at that comic con few years ago.
I was about to exit instagram and go on my notes so I could finish writing this chapter of my one of books when My phone started ringing.
I saw that a unknown number from Atlanta is calling.
Maybe it's my cousin who lives in there.
I answered it to make sure it's him so I can save his number.
"Hello?" I said.
"Hi is it Brandi?" I asked the familiar voice.
It sounded like China
It could be her.
"Yes this is she who is this?" I asked.
"It's China Anne McClain, your sister gave me your number" they said.
My eyes widened in shock.
Oh my god it's really her!
I totally forgot that my sister gave her her business card.
"Oh hey Chi how are you?" I asked with little smile.
I can't believe she called my sister and asked her for my number.
"I'm okay you?" China asked.
"I am okay just tired" I said sitting up.
"Aww! Make sure to get some rest" she said.
I chuckled remembering that she told me on Twitter about 5 years ago.
"I will.. did your mom tell you about my birthday?" I asked.
"Yes she did,I knew I forgot something but I didn't knew what it was.. when she did I was like oh my god i have to talk to her then I remembered that I have your sister's card so I had to find it-" she got cut off by something in the background.
"I'm on the phone!" China told someone in the background.
"Hold on B" she told me.
Few moments I heard nothing so I knew she put me on the mute.
Few seconds later I heard her voice. "Brandi are you there?" China asked.
"Yeah I'm here.. is everything okay?" I asked.
"Yes, my cousin just barged into my room" she said.
"Oh what were you saying?" I asked.
"Oh yeah I called your sister to ask for your number then I called you" she said with a laugh.
I laughed. "Chi why didn't you ask your mom to get my number? I could just give her" I asked.
"I wanted to get it myself" she said.
I shook my head. "Whatever.. I'm glad you called because I was just thinking about you" I said honestly.
"Aww I am glad I called too baby because I've been thinking about you a lot lately" she said.
I smiled little. "Man come back to Detroit so we can hang out" I said.
"I will in 2023.. believe me I've been trying to come back but something always comes up.. I want to see you again since we met at that comic con few years ago" China said.
"Same here. Damn you were filming descendants 3 during that time" I said.
"Yeah I was! I was really happy to see you and your family that day because I was having a terrible day" she said.
"I knew something was wrong so I asked if you were ok while we were hugging" I said.
"Well I was overwhelmed with everything.. you know but no one asked me that but you and Cameron" China said.
"Really? Not even your family?" I asked shocked.
"No I was hiding how I feel so they wouldn't be worried about me" she said.
"Oh. If you need someone to talk to I'll be here call or text or FaceTime.. I don't care what time of the day. I may be your biggest fan but I am also your friend." I said.
"Correction. My best friend. Thank you, I appreciate it. Same goes to you I don't care if I am busy because I'm going to drop everything for you.. hell I will catch a flight to Detroit if I have to" China said.
I know she is smiling.
I smiled. "Oh we're best friends now?" I asked.
"Hell yeah we are. You earned the title before we met in person" she said.
"Good to know" I said with a huge grin on my face.
The door opened. I looked over to see my sister Brittany. "It's time to eat" she whispered.
I nodded at her.
I have to get off of the phone with China.
"Ok I have to eat dinner, I will text you after the dinner?" I asked China.
"Yeah text me when you finish eating so we can talk more" China said.
"Okay I love you sis" I said with smile.
"I love you too baby" she said.
"Bye" I said before hanging up.
I quickly saved her number as "my best friend Chi❤️"
I turned my phone off and connected it to the charger, I put it on the nightstand.
"You were talking to Allexus?" Brittany said as she walked over.
"No I was talking to China" I said smiling.
I got up by holding her hand and sat down in my chair.
I can't wait to tell my Wattpad friends and of course my other best friend Allexus about this!

I was in the bathroom taking my makeup off when my phone started ringing.
I looked at it to see that Brandi is trying to FaceTime me.
I smiled as I picked it up and answered her FaceTime call.
Few moments later her face appeared. "Hey Chi!" Brandi said with little smile.
"Hey you don't celebrate the new year?" I asked.
"No because bad things always happen every year so I don't celebrate a new year anymore" she said.
She got a point.
"True so how are you?" I asked grabbing the makeup wipes.
She sighed. "Can I lie and tell you that I am good?" She asked.
I walked out after turning the light off and walked to my bed, I looked at her on my phone. "No what's wrong baby?" I asked worriedly.
She looked upset, she looked like she was about to start crying.
I wanna jump into this phone and hug her.
Did someone say something to her? if they did. I'm gonna have to turn into Jennifer Pierce and light their ass up!
"Uh someone said something about me and my books.. I didn't wanna tell my sisters about this because they are going to be pissed and try to cuss them out.. I texted my one of friends and she didn't respond" Brandi said wiping a tear.
"So you called me?" I asked knowing the answer.
She blushed. "Yeah so you can make me laugh . if you didn't answer I would watch house of Payne or ant farm or black lightning"she said.
"Awww babe I am glad you called me and I would always answer you but if I don't answer when you call me I will call you back" I said with little smile.
She smiled back. "There's my beautiful smile" I said happy to see her smiling.
"You always make me smile when I didn't want to" Brandi said putting her phone or iPad against something so she doesn't have to hold it.
"I know, that's my job so tell me what did they say" I said grabbing my phone stand and pulling it closer to me.
I put my phone on the stand and took the wipe of its packet, I started taking the rest of this makeup off.
"They said that my books are not good and I am a disabled loser.. I know it's not true and I try to ignore it but it's hard you know" she said.
I got mad. Excuse me? I am going to cuss these bitches about hurting my best friend.
They fucked me up!
I took a deep breath and looked at Brandi.
"What's their username? I want to talk" I asked calmly.
She looked up from her phone and shook her head. "China no they are not worth it besides I already cussed them before I called you and you don't have a Wattpad account" she said.
I just made a Wattpad account yesterday to read her books and support her and I didn't tell her yet.
I smirked. "I just made a account yesterday so I can support you" I said.
She looks shocked. "So CMcclain98 is really you? I should've known" she said with a laugh.
She shook her head. "Nah you don't need to be on Wattpad because it's so damn dry on there though." She said.
"I don't care because I'm on that app to support you and read the books about me and everything else" I said with smirk.
She shrugged. "Ok in case I got a new reader and let me follow you back" Brandi said with little smile.
I chuckled. "Now text me their username because I'm not playing when I said that I want to talk to them" I said with a serious look on my face.
"Okay I will text you their username now" she said looking down at her phone.
"Okay" I said countining to wipe the the rest of makeup off.
"Done" Brandi said still looking at her phone, few moments later my phone pinged.
"I got it" I said.
"Okay good. I love this because it's better than talking on social media" she said putting her phone down.
"Right.. I'm glad I called you last week because I missed talking to you" I said throwing the wipe into my trash bag.
"I missed talking to you too.. I even tweeted you few times.. I just wish you were here" she said.
"Same here to be honest I wanted to jump into this phone and hug you when I saw that you were upset.. it broke my heart to see you like that" I said.
I am going to visit her very soon but she doesn't know because I am surprising her.
"Ok you need to visit me soon so I can hug you again" Brandi said with little smile.
I chuckled and wiggled my eyebrows. "Don't worry I'm coming babe.. be prepared for me to tackle you" I said with a smirk.
She chuckled. "Oh I will.. I wasn't ready last time" she said shaking her head.
I just chuckled.
Tuesday hurry up so I can see my best friend!

I walked into my house from picking my best friend Allexus up from work and taking her home.
I closed the door and locked it.
"Mom I'm home!" I shouted.
There's no answer.
I guess she is not home.
My auntie Amanda walked out of the den. "She is not here" she said.
"Okay where is she?" I asked.
I didn't know she was going somewhere today.. I hope something not happened with our one of family members.
"She went to the store" she said.
I shrugged. "Okay well I'm going upstairs to take a little nap" I said walking to the elevator.
"Okay goodnight.. call me if you need me" she said.
"Okay I will" I said.
I haven't heard from China today because I usually wake up and see her good morning text.
She is probably still asleep because we talked on a phone until 2 in the morning.
...
I woke up by someone calling my name.
"Yeah?" I said opening my eyes to see China smiling at me.
I quickly sat up. "China?!" I said shocked but happy to see her.
"Surprise! I told you that I was coming to visit you soon" China said with a big smile on her face.
I saw that my mom is standing in the doorway with a smirk on her face.
She picked China up from the airport.
I shook my head.
"You didn't go to the store, you were picking her from the airport" I said looking at mom.
"Jermine was supposed to but he couldn't leave work so I had to because I couldn't let her take a Uber because them drivers could be dangerous" she said.
"So Brianna and Brittany knew about her coming too?" I asked.
"Yep they did, I told them not to tell you because I wanted to surprise you" China said.
"It was a awesome surprise because I expected you to come to Michigan in the middle of the month" I said looking at her with a smile.
"I booked a flight last week after the second time we talked on the phone because I couldn't wait longer to see you" she said with a smile.
"Well I'm glad mom and I got someone to hang out with for few days since Brittany and Brianna just started working a new job together.. I bet they are driving each other crazy now" I said with a smirk.
"Yeah they called me like 50 times" mom said.
"Well they didn't call or text me once.. I feel loved" I said sarcastically.
They could have call or text me to check on me.
"I get what you mean because Sierra and Lauryn do that to me sometimes too" China said with a laugh.
I shook my head chuckling. "Older sisters" i said.
I looked at her smiling. "Come here girl" I said.
She didn't stop smiling since she woke me up but I didn't care because I love seeing her happy.
She hugged me tightly, I hugged back the same way. "Get used to me visiting more often" she whispered in my ear.
"Okay sis" I said smiling.

I am writing the second chapter of my all American book while waiting for China to come out of the bathroom.
I heard the bathroom door open so I looked up to see China and smiled.
I chuckled. "I thought you were home asleep because you usually text me good morning but no you were in the plane on the way to here.. why didn't you bring your family with you?" I asked.
I already met her dad.
She chuckled. "They wanted to come especially Lauryn and mom but I wanted to come alone this time and Sierra had to go LA" China said.
She walked over and sat down next to me, she smirked. "So that we will get through anything book.. did you read my comments in chapter 1?" She asked.
"Oh my god yes, you were cussing my character out at first" I said with a laugh.
"That's because I thought you cheated on me.. when your character told me that Dove raped you.. I was like what?! I love that book so far" China said.
"I can tell you are enjoying it, thank you.. it means a lot from you" I said with smile.
"Your welcome baby, please tell me that our characters will get back together because I know they are in love with each other" she said.
I smirked. "Yes we will get back together but not officially until chapter 13.." i said.
"So you are scared to get back together with me because I would hurt you again?" She asked.
"Yep.. you broke my heart that night" I said shaking my head.
"Wow I already don't like Thomas and Dove in this book.. Thomas is my boy in real life and Dove is.. ok" she said.
"So the rumors are true? Dove and you don't like each other?" I asked.
"No we just acted like we like each other.. Dove always was jealous of me
and my friendship with Cameron" China said.
"Wow.. I don't care about her that much because she seems like a bitch.. I loved her show on Disney and she is my sign.." I said.
"I know, We were friends before descendants." China said.
"I only watched descendants for you and Cameron.. I was not going to watch descendants 4 because I thought you are not going to be on it but when you announced it that you are going to be on it.. I was like 'okay I am watching it to support my little sister' you know I am going to support you no matter what" I said with smile.
She smiled and hugged me. I hugged back. "Thank you for supporting me and my family all these years, I love you so much" she said.
I smiled."Your welcome and I love you too.." I said.
She kissed my cheek before pulling away. "I'm happy that I got you as my best friend and big sister from another mother" she said with little smile.
"Me too.. wanna watch all American?" I asked with little smile.
"Oh my god yes do you have episode 4?" China asked excitedly.
"Yeah I do, you are lucky because I was about to delete it to make space on my dvr" I said with smirk.
I grabbed my tv remote and turned it on, I turned it to the regular tv and grabbed my cable remote.
I put all American on. "You can start watch the episode with me since I already watched it because I need to go to check on auntie Amanda and mom to make sure mom didn't kill her sister" I said as I gave her the remotes.
She chuckled. "Okay I am going to call Lauryn while you are checking on them" she said.
I grabbed my walker stick and got up. "Ok sis Tell her that I said hi" I said.
I walked to the door.
