Work Text:
It was supposed to be a simple day.
Waking up at 5 am to start his daily routine and trying not burst his little head thinking about those extras.
A normal day for Bakugo Katsuki.
It starts with exercises, simple breakfast, —a little bit of yelling to those extras and telling them they suck— and goes on to his day like a normal person would.
But of course, the day might be simple, Bakugo Katsuki is not.
Every other person in class 1-A—and different people who can't keep their mouth shut and judgements to themselves— will have different opinions on him. Some may say that he so short tempered and does not care about the things coming out of his petty little mouth. While some assumed that he lacked of basic human decencies, that his mannerisms does not really in fit in a 16 year old student of UA high school.
But even with those negative opinions, most of the class 1-A will beg to differ. Especially Midoriya Izuku. They will say that Katsuki Bakugo is just Katsuki Bakugo. Being himself. And their glad that he IS being himself. Thus, for anyone who thinks otherwise, will befall in class 1-A's wrath. —especially Izuku's, being his childhood friend and all.— After all, the last time somebody did, let's just say, it did not ended up good. A few broken bones and PTSD was the result.
Going back (to the plot), today was Saturday. So which means, groceries day. It was Bakugo and Midoriya's turn to do the groceries. Ever since they started living in the dorms, they made rules and regulations regarding washing dishes, doing groceries, and other stuff.
Since Bakugo was not in a bad mood, it was okay for him to be with Midoriya and not cause some damage.
But of course, Dumb Deku is pestering him again.
"Kacchan, do you mind holding this for me?"
"Kacchan can you get that for me?" Said Izuku pointing at the top shelf where certainly even Bakugo with his height, was not able to reach. Are you kidding me?
"Kacchan that looks so good"
"Kacchan what should we get?"
Kacchan this, Kacchan that. Katsuki was starting to lose it. Patience, patience.
"Kacchan should we get the green or the yellow one? You know the green one is healthier and provides better nutritions but the yellow one is more delicious and I don't really know what to get and ...... " And he's mumbling shits again. This is why Bakugo Katsuki hates doing grocery shopping with dumb Deku.
" Shitty Deku you're mumbling, again."
" Oh.. I'm sorry Kacchan I didn't mean to!" He scramble for an apology, clearly embarrassed.
" Whatever. " Katsuki replied before walking away, his destination being the next aisles.
"E-eh Kacchan?! I still don't know what to get!"

After getting everything needed for the following week, Katsuki realized that it's such a hassle. Why is the grocery store even in 5th floor? What is the purpose? Getting frustrated with all this bullshit, Katsuki suggested —yelled— that they should take an elevator. Grabbing all he can, he starts walking through the elevator.
Deku, left with no choice, followed Katsuki, but not before taking a big, deep breath. It's going to be okay. It's just a few minutes. It's fine.
Except it's not.
The elevator suddenly crashed. What a pain.
"We are very sorry for the inconvenience. The elevator will be fixed. Please stay calm and wait. Thank you."
WHAT? Izuku doesn't think that he can last for another minutes inside this elevator. Feeling panicked, he grabbed his shaking hands to prevent it from trembling so much, or else, Kacchan will notice.
This is bad. Really bad.
"Oi. Shitty Deku. You're shaking." Kacchan's surprisingly calm voice echoed in the elevator.
Izuku sputtered for an answer, "Is it a bad time to tell you I'm claustrophobic?"
Kacchan just stared at him. With that, he felt even nervous than before. Until he couldn't think of anything else but panic.
His vision started to get blurry. He felt the room—the elevator— narrowing by seconds. His hands trembling, As he couldn't control them. He felt numb.
Suddenly, a pair of hands wrapped around his waist. He still couldn't process what what happening until he felt his legs giving out. Thankful for the one who's holding him, he didn't crash into the floor.
A series of assurance whispered to his ears. He still felt so numb but strangely enough, he was starting to calm down. With the hands wrapped, not in his waist anymore but in his whole body, he felt strangely safe.
When was the last time he felt this safe?
He does not know.
"You're going to be okay." "You'll be fine." "It's just few more minutes." "I'll be with you the whole time."
With the reassurance, he leaned into the body that's engulfing him, percieving the warm body against him.
A pair of lips pressed into his forehead. It feels... Fine.
Maybe... He could close his eyes and...
Oh. He's asleep.
Shitty Deku never told me he has claustrophobia. Katsuki suddenly felt so guilty. I'm sorry, Izuku.
Tightening his hold on the other's body, he waited for the elevator to start working again.
Eventually, the elevator was finally fixed.
Now, the only problem he had is, how is he going to carry all the grocery items without waking Izuku up.
The solution? Call shitty hair.
Katsuki will —always— admit. This is the shittiest day ever. Terrible.
