Chapter 1: Through The Seams and The Ridges
Notes:
This fic looks into some of the aspects that other fics may include, but not all aspects. (If you've read my first BBB fic, know that the 'BoBoiBoy and the Elementals existing in the Real World' plot doesn't apply here.)
!! PLEASE READ THE SECOND CHAPTER IF YOU ONLY WANT A QUICK SUMMARY !!
Features the First Tier, Second Tier, Third Tier and Fusions Elementals mainly. Also includes concepts such as the Septuplets AU and the Watch Realm.
Overall: An explanation of my general BoBoiBoy AU but told from the perspective of Solar.
(BoBoiBoy is by Monsta and the only original piece of work that I claim is the storyline.)

Chapter Text
5 Days Following Halilintar's Return
I'm not very fond of this feeling. Of knowing that the usually natural seems... Unnatural. Unfitting. Unbelonging.
In hindsight - and I do hate to admit this, but - perhaps this was a bad idea from the beginning. Balak, well I suppose Rimba, just manifested. Halilintar... he's finally back. Everyone has seemed so different and misplaced without him. Taufan and Beliung were so... unhappy. Gempa looked drained of all joy in his life. Blaze had lost meaning to crack as many jokes, and some part of me wishes that he hadn't. It might have felt wrong to him this time, especially after he had been apparently warned not to make light-hearted jokes when Retak'ka had... ripped us away from them. Ais was quiet, as one may expect, but he was also distant. He chose to stay away from everyone, something otherworldly in comparison to his usually clingy self. Duri was outright heartbroken up until he was called upon by Ori. I think Ori saw the potential in him and also wanted to give him some hope. I truly thank him for that - it's hard to see the Nature element so sad.
It's hard to see any of them sad. And I could only imagine what things were like for the First Tiers and Fusions - such younger minds than the rest of us.
We had chosen to stay away from each other unless we were called upon outside of the watch in case interacting with each other could have possibly made things worse, so it was hard to tell. Based on their recounts of the terrible few weeks when we all got back together a few days ago... I don't know why it never came to mind that Petir, Supra and Gentar had also subsequently ceased to exist. It hurts to know all the pain that everyone has gone through because of her.
I don't truly understand the amount of either courage or insanity it took Ori and his friends to forgive Kira'na after all the things she has done to them as well. I do, however, thank them deeply for continuing to fight. That's something to admire about BoBoiBoy's friends and allies. They never give up. They got Halilintar, Petir, Supra and Gentar back for us, and things are slowly seeming to brighten up as everyone gradually makes their way to as much of a full recovery as they can. Everyone is happier now. I feel a little more elated and willing to do seemingly trivial things now. It's nice to see everyone else beaming.
I'm starting to stray from what I originally intended to do. I suppose I do have quite a bit of time to do it... though I'd rather not let them hear all of my ramblings. Sure, as of right now I am only aware that Cahaya, Supra, Sopan and Sori are coming into the research lab in a bit to review Supra's findings from his other experiment, but if past experiences has taught me anything, at the very least Gentar is going to find his way into this area, no matter how many times we tell him that he is prohibited unless strictly and explicitly told that he can come in under our supervision. I tell the others not to interest him in his own wants, but admittedly with someone as energetic and outgoing and infuriatingly confident as himself... I can understand the hesitance to resist what he says. How the combination of Gempa and Halilintar led to creation of a kid with the powers of Sai and Shielda's shields and the personality of flamethrower-turned-human Blaze but doubled will never cease to amaze me and it is honestly one of the few wonders of the world that I have yet to truly understand. Perhaps it has to do with the other two's personalities themselves, but... thinking about anything to do with the Lightning element makes my head hurt. Not in a malicious way.
On a side note - Gentar seems to be doing fine. Probably the least affected by Kira'na out of any of us, though it makes me wonder if there's something below the surface that I'm just not seeing. Perhaps it's too emotion-oriented to get through my head, as I've been told a couple of times. The only other one of us who may seem more out-of-touch with emotion could be Supra, so at least I don't have to hold that title under my name. We can't completely help it - Cahaya and the Light element as a whole was manifested from increased knowledge - unlike the other elementals. Excluding their First Tiers - Halilintar reflects anger or irritation, Taufan reflects happiness and Gempa reflects leadership and determination (something I am sure is what makes him most in-touch and alike to Ori). Api reflected stress and Air calm. Daun is a little different, I suppose, considering he came from hitting his head on a branch - making the one and only simpleton we know today. I think his emotion reflects a little on curiosity - the interest towards things around him and the delightful and mind-blowing feeling of experiencing different things first-hand and for the first time.
It only makes sense to slightly envy him, right? As an element who is able to comprehend concepts much more complex and at a much faster rate than others, it sort of sucks all the interesting and joyful things of wanting to try and tie together concepts which seem so simple and easy to-
Uhm-
...
I don't mean to shed my family in a bad light, of course. None of them. It's just observation after observation which creates these ideas and alters my how I perceive of those around me. Including my brothers and cousins. Including BoBoiBoy's friends, family and allies. Including our enemies. Including myself.
...Moving onto the topic I wanted to discuss - Rimba's presence here alongside Beliung has sparked a revelation in me that I've been wanting to re-hash over for a while now:
The Watch Realm.
I'll never understand the full extent of its availability and abundance - is it simply another realm? Or is it a whole other universe that us elements get to travel between so easily? Our existence surely doesn't match that of Earth's - being born at a being's youngest state. We existed from the real world beforehand - that was where our masters came from and, for most, once existed. Some are still alive, I mean. It is, however, an always changing, always adapting space. Perhaps it adapts with every watch upgrade - as it seems to retain its original form when 'transferred' from one to the next. And this is just one of the many concepts that I as well as Cahaya have discovered. I have a couple of written logs here based on the whole matter, something we've been compiling if any of our next familial members are anywhere near curious about the watch itself. In recent times, they haven't questioned it as much, seeing as they didn't have to go through as much change as us Second and First Tier elements.
This will be documented in a voice recording which also uses Speech-to-Text technology. I will then be editing it in post when I find the time. Hopefully I have this written on my To-Do list... Ah, all good.
The Watch Realm is something that raised and still does raise a lot of questions. Discoveries here made by me - Solar - and Cahaya are as follows:
1) All Versions of the Elements and Fusions are their own beings
A fundamental understanding is that, when summoned, we all look like our masters. Halilintar looked like Empress Satriantar Ratna. Taufan like Princess Kuputeri. Gempa like Hang Kasa. When five of us were again captured by Retak'ka, we retained his features as well. We all look like BoBoiBoy - any one of us when manifested understood that immediately. From what the other elementals had recalled, they did not have their own conscious until Retak'ka took them away that 100 years ago. From... what Cahaya and I remember - we as 'one person' gained a separate conscious when Retak'ka started wreaking havoc across the galaxy. By that, we had one thought and understanding that was unlike our master's - I am hurting others. I am awful. As a power used as a tool for whoever possesses us, being able to form even a single thought or opinion of something like this was quite, uhm, overwhelming. For being known to others as a monster or to be ripped away from what you know as your first ever thought as something else was terrifying. For all of us.
When the Original Trio - Petir, Angin and Tanah - weren't being summoned by BoBoiBoy - who I will call Ori for the remainder of this recording unless appropriate - it wasn't uncommon of them to question their existence like this. From what I've been told, the elementals have been existing as separate beings the moment Ori got the watch and first summoned them. This wasn't really much of an issue prior to Ori's recruitment into TAPOPS. But, when Petir had upgraded to Halilintar [a second time] during their fight against Jugglenaut... there was a notable change that all but Daun at the time had noticed. Petir and Halilintar were two separate beings - two separate people, two separate identities, two separate bodies - existing at the same time and in the same space in the watch. There was no singular 'Lightning/Thunderstorm/Voltra Elemental' - there were Petir and Halilintar who had those powers.
This wasn't the case beforehand. Before being recruited for TAPOPS, when the First Tiers had upgraded, it was only them. After the fight with Bora Ra when they had all become their Second Tiers and Duri and I came into existence, it was just us. No Petir, Angin, Tanah, Api or Air as well. Daun and Cahaya were never a thing. Halilintar was Petir. Taufan was Angin. And so forth. Possibly due to the watch upgrade, Cahaya and I had concluded whilst Ori had rested in TEMPUR-A Station after the fight with Captian Vargoba. Between that time and Cahaya/myself being manifested for the first time, Halilintar was said to just have hung around the six First Tier elements. It became normal for me, too, when I joined alongside him.
Despite he and I being separate to Petir and Cahaya, we still seemed to retain their memories. This turned out to be the case for Angin and Tanah, who retained the memories of themselves as Taufan and Gempa despite them not actually being them. The younger four retained less knowledge about their Second Tiers, which could be due to the fact that they didn't exist in those forms for that long beforehand. In the end, we all share at least some part of Ori's memories, so perhaps this is why it is what it is. When the watch got upgraded and the rest got upgraded to Second Tier - same deal. They were all separate to the First Tiers whilst still retaining their memories as if they've existed since the beginning. Same applied to the Fusions and the Third Tiers. Which brings me to my next point.
2) There are different areas for the different 'categories' of elements
Coming from our perspective as Second Tiers, when Ori had upgraded the watch prior to Retak'ka's first attack, the First Tier elements had seemingly ceased to exist. It was definitely alarming to us, especially Halilintar and I who had been kindly welcomed in by them - even if only for a week or two. A few days after this change, a strange incoming call had made its way onto the viewing screen we occasionally use to see what Ori is doing through his own eyes. Turns out it came from Cahaya, who had managed to contact us using peculiar frequencies in a certain area of their 'area' of the power watch, or 'abode', I suppose you could call it. This, quite obviously, raised a few more questions than answers. It seemed to suggest that, at some point, with enough 'upgrades' comes a new location. It was an exact replica, granted, so no one really blamed each other for freaking out and not taking any immediately outstanding action in the time. I don't know why I didn't think of it sooner, but I'm glad that Cahaya was able to figure it out before we all went insane.
3) Numbers may possibly influence the creation of new areas
What exactly caused a new area in the realm to be made was essentially unknown for quite some time. It probably had to do with numbers, we had guessed, since the manifestation of Halilintar and I did not seem to spark that change. This theory was further proved when Frostfire, Glacier and Supra were created. When they were supposed to have returned to the watch realm since Ori was now resting, they were also nowhere to be found like the First Tiers a while back. We got Cahaya to try what he did last time, and, lo and behold - we got into contact with them and instantly got to making a method of transportation via teleportation so that we could get meet in as much of a physical state as we could. They also had their own area, expectedly enough. The number theory seemed to have a lead to it, the number being 3. However, this does not solidify my theory as it was only one official instance. But, with the arrival of the Third Tiers such as Beliung and Rimba at a hopefully steadier rate for not only my research but Ori's safety as well, the arrival of a third Third Tier may prove this theory once and for all. We know of no other beings which exist in something even remotely close to the watch realm, so our own research is the best we have.
4) The first iteration of the watch does not follow these rules
The most rattling pieces of evidence that contradicted all of the research compiled over the years is the fact that none of these conditions were ever present in the first few months of Ori owning the power watch - starting when he was about 10 or 11.
- Whenever they upgraded, there was no [First Tier] and [Second Tier]. It was just the element in its new state.
- As a result of the first point not occurring, the second point of multiple areas existing, and the third point of numbers influencing their creation were non-occurring either.
The reason behind this is unknown, most likely due to another change implemented during the upgrades of the watch. I honestly have yet to find that out, and I don't plan to anytime soon in Ori's state. It would be especially inconsiderate of me to try and indicate any sort of want to take over his body and interrogate Ochobot-
"Solar~"
'I was unable to mask my surprise as I gasped in sharply. Of course, it goes heard, and the collective laughs of Sori and Sopan can be heard echoing heartily throughout the lab. I turn my head to see those two plus Supra and Cahaya, who are smiling. I smile at them.'
"Speak of the devils..." 'I sighed aloud.'
"Tch, you're calling us the devils?" 'Sori retorted, coming up to me and shoving a finger into my shoulder.' "Mind you, we had to work extra hard to keep 'Number 1 Element/Fusion' away."
"Ah, we shouldn't be taking all the credit now," 'Sopan chuckled lightly, turning to look at me.' "Frostfire was nice enough to invite Gentar to training with Beliung and Api."
"That will certainly be... interesting." 'I choose my words carefully, though I manage to express my concerns effectively with the tone of my voice. With that peculiar combo it would indefinitely be something that could go extreme in either direction.'
"Apologies," 'Supra spoke up quietly.' "Did we interrupt your audio?"
"Somewhat, but I can always the unnecessary sections out," 'I shrugged.' "Just try not to be too loud for a good minute or few."
'I was greeted with a multitude of thumbs-ups from the group of four before they hastily headed to a table at the back of the room and Supra attempted to silently rummage through one of the filing cabinets with his name on it. I took a deep breath, cleared my throat, tried to regain my thoughts and comments and went back on my way to finish my recording.'
Apologies for the disruption. As I was saying...
If I want to get insight of the pre-galaxy version of the watch, that will have to wait another day. Choosing to delay Ori's recovery further could only lead to unfortunate setbacks, though I'm confident that he will pull through. While I say this, however, I will always be aware the part in Ori's mind which will do anything for his friends. Everyone would be doing Ori a great favour by allowing his mind and body to relax. I understand that he is the 'Galaxy's Superhero' and all, but like the rest of his friends - he is just a kid. A teen, maybe, but that doesn't make it any better. He can only take so much, even if he pushes and pushes and pushes. I know that, too, even though it did take Captain's Vargoba's fight to really render it...
I have some extra points I'd like to go over as well regarding this recording's topic. The next is definitely a little unrelated but seeing as we're looking at ourselves as well as the watch, I wanted to add it here. When it's something as casual as this, there's nothing wrong with going on a short tangent.
E1) How us elementals refer to ourselves and each other is a debateable topic
It's such as trivial note, I'm aware, but I would be lying if I said that it doesn't interest me either... and I can hear them snickering the background, hm. 'Accurate enough to my words, as I wouldn't lie about something like that - especially a recording, but there are amused smiles and sounds coming from the table in the distance. I place a finger to my lips, and there were mostly genuine apologies around. I say mostly, though that seems more of an overstatement as the genuine one out of this group is only ever Cahaya. I shouldn't expect much of my own fusions, but they're also somewhat me?' Ignoring them... we seem to acknowledge ourselves in familial terms more than anything else, if there is anything else.
The ones both most jokingly but most fittingly for two of us would be Mama Tanah and Mama Gempa, or simply Mama Gem. It makes the most sense by their roles within the elements and their personalities. I mean, they are the ones who cook the most and clean the most. They always keep an eye out on everyone - making sure they are okay or making sure they aren't getting into trouble. They fit the role of leader, and everyone knows that. Unless there's a reason to, we aren't going to disobey what Gem and Tan say - because they do it for us and those around them. They do it so that we can keep going and contribute where we need to. We really do appreciate them for doing what they do, and no matter what they say - they don't get enough credit for it. With us listening and somewhat depending on them to look after us when it's not any of Ori's friends practically makes them perfect for the mother role - excluding gender. The name also semi-applies to Glacier, as there is no way Gentar would be receiving that title, but with the personality of Ais also flowing through him... I wouldn't be surprised if that weren't the case.
"Actually... can I butt in?" 'Sori piped up, sitting up straight in his stool and promptly walking up to my side.'
"Go ahead." 'I nod.'
"Hii! Sori here! Speaking as one of the fusions - in fact, we do refer to Glacier as Mama Glacy from time to time. While Glacier is a mix of both Ais and Gempa, his personality only reflects Ais in the sense that he tends to drift off and place all of his attention fully on whatever he's doing - unless we distract him. To summarise it - he's Ais and Gempa but less when it comes to their personality. Maybe that's a side-effect of being some of Ais as well - reducing or numbing the personality of both elements when combined. This could be proved by Frostfire as well since Blaze's personality is there but less apparent. As for his role - 'house-related chores' that are usually in correspondence with a motherly figure are actually spread throughout us fusions. Frostfire does most of the cooking, Glacier does a mix of everything, Supra keeps everyone in check and I clean the base, house, whatever. Gentar helps out whoever needs it, and Sopan does the laundry. Because of this, we don't always call Glacier Mama Glacy as he doesn't have that much of an impact on us as Gempa or Tanah do. This isn't to say that the other First or Second Tier elements don't contribute either, but that's just how our dynamic is."
"Thank you for the input, Sori." 'I smiled. He can be a bit of a nuisance at times, but he presents his information formally and emphatically when he's around us - something I've come to appreciate more often.'
"It's no problem!" 'He responded, half-skipping to his seat. The other three smirked, and Sopan gave him a pat on the back.'
We call each other brothers, otherwise. Septuplets for the First and Second Tiers and sextuplets for the Fusions, though it can change at any time since the number of them could be much more than seven in possibly the near future. It's a bit hard to tell with the Beliung and Rimba, but based on their small interactions it seems like they don't really see each other as siblings, or at least not close siblings or twins... most likely something to do with them being as close to the element itself as their forms will allow. Whether we are older or younger we've decided is determined based on when we were manifested.
For the First Tiers, it's Petir, Angin, Tanah, Api, Air, Daun and Cahaya.
For the Second Tiers, it's Halilintar, Taufan, Gempa, Blaze, Ais, Duri and myself, Solar.
For the Third Tiers, it's Beliung followed by Rimba.
And, for the Fusions, it's Frostfire, Glacier, Supra, Sori, Gentar and Sopan.
As I had previously mentioned, there was some indecisiveness regarding this topic, and there are two reasons for this.
Firstly, since our 'ages' are determined by manifestation where the first one manifested is the eldest, there had been some confusion on which 'set of siblings' is the eldest. What I mean by this is that the first elementals to exist out of any of us were the First Tiers. Since all of us Second Tiers came next, that should mean that we are younger than the First Tiers. With the Fusions and Third Tiers the order is a little jumbled because when they were manifested is jumbled, too, going in the order of Frostfire, Glacier, Supra, Sori, Beliung, Gentar, Sopan and then Rimba. What we have been going off of, however, is tiers in ascending order. Essentially, Halilintar would be older than Petir because he is a Second Tier - making him and the rest of us Second Tiers older than the First Tiers. Same goes for the Third Tiers. The Fusions are considered the 'same age' as the Second Tiers since they are the Second Tiers. Another thing to mention about the Fusions is that, because of this, all the elements refer to them as 'cousins' rather than brothers. It just feels more right to us, and since we're the only ones being involved - we can make the calls.
Therefore, the order of the eldest to youngest by 'group' goes Third Tiers, Second Tiers + Fusions, and First Tiers.
Secondly, there are some instances in which everyone separates up into their own duos or trios. This also splits into two different categories - orderly and 'casually'.
Orderly duos and trios are as expected - based on manifestation.
'Trio Original or Trio Ori': Petir, Angin and Tanah / Halilintar, Taufan and Gempa / Frostfire, Glacier and Supra
'Duo Temperature or Temper Duo': Api and Air / Blaze and Ais; and
'Duo Photosynthesis': Daun and Cahaya / Duri and I.
Note that the other elements and fusions are not in any acclaimed duos or trios in this category. When split up into these groups, these elementals may refer to themselves as 'twins' or 'triplets' respectively.
As for the casual duos and trios, Blaze was kind enough to give me a list prior to the events that took place on Planet Gur'latan. It's somewhat lengthy, but it would be ignorant of me to not list all of them. He, strangely enough, has this written in rather neat handwriting... must've done this when around Ais or Gempa, seeing as those two can calm him down the best. Otherwise, it would've looked like actual chicken scratch - but knowing him, he'd probably see that as a compliment.
Here's his list of duos and trios that fit into this category.
'Trio Troublemaker or TTM': Blaze, Taufan and Duri / Api, Angin and Daun
'Trio Original or Trio Ori': Specifically - Halilintar, Gempa and Beliung. Hm, specifically is spelt 's-p-a-s-i-f-i-k-a-l-l-y'...
'Trio Cool or TC': Halilintar, Ais and Solar / Petir, Air and Cahaya
'Trio Traffic Light': Halilintar, Duri and Solar
'Trio Cooking': Petir, Tanah and Daun (from the EASY-A Test)
'Duo Firestarter': Api and Angin (from the fight against ABAM)
'Duo Popular': Halilintar and Solar / Petir and Cahaya
'Duo Storm': Halilintar and Taufan
'Duo Responsible or Duo Parent': Halilintar and Gempa / Petir and Tanah
'Trio Single-Fusion': Frostfire, Sori and Sopan; and
'Trio Solar:' Supra, Sori and Sopan
"That's us!" 'I heard Sori call out proudly.'
"Sori!" 'Sopan scolded him.' "We aren't supposed to interrupt him unless we have actual information to provide!"
"But the recording needs to know who else is in the room!" 'Sori frowned.' "This'll be good for when Solar needs to listen back through it. Besides, from his own reactions and words the microphone seems to pick up what we say."
"That's no excuse to just yell out in the middle of the recording." 'Supra took Sopan's side.'
"How about we all just quiet down?" 'Cahaya brought up quietly. I feel a little bad for him - being the youngest youngest elemental and all.'
Well, those were all the groups Blaze gave me for the time being. Some of the names are, reasonably enough, questionable, though they're probably much more accepted than whatever names I'd come up with. It makes sense that Halilintar comes up the most. Ori often calls on him a lot, and I'm sure that he's probably the one I've brought up the most in this entire audio recording. What he has gone through allows me to use his experiences to determine reasons for certain events occurring.
...I am not using him as a test subject to observe and write about as he suffers. I would never do that to anyone unless it was short-term and merely harmless - like asking them to go out and record how long it takes them to walk casually from the greenhouse to the kitchen and back.
After all that Retak'ka did to them? Sucking the life force out of other planets and the element of which their existence surrounds just to cause destruction and despair and see what he can do and gain more and more power. The citizens on those planets didn't deserve that. The family members of the fallen elemental masters didn't deserve that. The elements didn't deserve that. And it all started with me. Solar. Cahaya. Gamma. If I had been able to provide more, then maybe, just maybe, Retak'ka wouldn't have inflicted all the damage that he did. If I met his high standards of power, then I could have prevented him from getting power hungry and-
Oh.
I'm crying?
'I'm crying.'
'I tried not to look. The group behind me. Have they heard me? Hopefully not. I was whispering... by the end of my spiral. One thing is certain. They knew that my demeanour had changed. I hastily wiped the warm tears and small amount of snot in my nose. I kept quiet. No hyperventilating. No blowing my nose. No sobbing. No whining. I'm pathetic when I cry anyway. I don't need them hearing about this. Especially not Cahaya or Supra. They've been hurt too. For being themselves. For being connected to the Light element. They can't know that I'm cursing it. It's not their fault. Retak'ka was the one at fault. He twisted them. Their capabilities. Their emotions.'
'I can't believe that I haven't gotten over this. This is idiotic.'
'Breathe, Solar.'
'They're watching you.'
'You need to move on.'
E2) Time seems to move slower here in the Watch Realm.
This has always seemed like a far stretch, even for me. And I'd actually like to ask for Cahaya's help, who also happens to be in the room if not established already.
"Alright, at this point it seems like Solar isn't even going to let us do our own work!" 'Sori pointed out. I turn to them. They don't seem to be suspicious. They must have thought that I was relaying more private information. Or using my phone. Or just pausing for a moment. Now that I think about it, my throat seemed dry.' "I hardly think that I should have been in the wrong."
"Well, were we really working on it in the first place?" 'Supra admitted, glancing at the unopened folder that had been sat in front of him since the moment they sat down a few minutes ago. That proves that they weren't distracted by anything else.' "All we've really been doing is observing Solar from the distance, poking fun at him here and there and acknowledging some interesting points that he brings up."
"Ah, sorry Supra," 'Sopan apologised. Shit. They were watching me the entire time?' "We didn't mean to ignore your project like that."
"I'm not bothered," 'Supra shrugged, indifferent.' "I wouldn't mind coming closer to understand what he says better. The project can always wait."
"Bring your chairs forward and sit down with me, if you'd like," 'I encourage them with a sweeping had gesture towards me. Damn you, Supra. I might regret this later. But for now, I couldn't care less. I need to be casual.' "However, I do need Cahaya to sit next to me like how Sori had stood so that the microphone can pick him up more clearly. And just don't be too disruptive, alright? Especially you, Sori."
'Sori gasped in offense to my words, making me smirk. Sori was strangely over-dramatic - out of place for a Solar fusion but clearly makes sense for someone like Duri. If it weren't for Sopan's name literally translating to 'polite' in Ori's language, I would have expected similar from a Taufan fusion. There's always an exception, like I had brought up before, and Gentar fits that exception exceptionally. They all brought short stools over instead of the tall ones they were on earlier. Cahaya sat down next to me on my right, Supra on my left and Sori and Sopan watching over my shoulders. Strangely, I feel a casual hand placed on my shoulder. I looked to see Supra, who quickly glanced at me before looking past to watch Cahaya. And I thought we were bad at emotions. Maybe our observations on how people attempt to comfort those who seem troubled could be coming into play. It's an appreciated gesture nonetheless, though I don't show him that. I'm not against it, but I'd rather dismiss it for another conversation at another time. If he even does happen to bring it up, it'll be an awkward conversation.'
"Hello, Cahaya speaking," 'Cahaya introduced himself to the recording.' "I believe Solar wanted to discuss how time works in the Watch Realm, correct?"
"It is," 'I respond back. I have a job to do, after all.' "How we came to the conclusion that time possibly moves slower in the Watch Realm is based off of the connections that I had mentioned Cahaya using to first contact us when we had upgraded to Second Tiers prior to Retak'ka's attack."
"That would be correct. The connections Solar is referring to is like a satellite connection that people in the real-world use to link to a possible server and contact others in any part of the world. It works here, but complications had first arisen when the connection had gotten weaker, and our calls were becoming pixelated and choppy. It was soon discovered that, if we had our makeshift satellite dishes - made to pinpoint and strengthen our connection to a specific point and placed in the same area throughout both the First Tier and Second Tier bases - constantly rotating at a certain speed, our connection would stay strong and clear.
At first, we thought the satellites were pointing directly at each other through the Watch Realm. However, the angles they were pointing at never made sense. How I can explain this is the satellites move in a clockwise rotation. Let's just imagine general cardinal directions - North, South, East and West. If the First Tiers' satellite is pointing South, then the Second Tiers' satellite would be pointing East - a quarter of a rotation before us. We abandoned looking into this for a while up until the first three fusions had arrived and a new area was created. We followed through with the same process as before, and we noticed another interesting pattern which followed our previous theory. Back to the previous example - if the First Tiers' satellite was pointing South, then the Second Tiers' satellite would be pointing East. In the Fusions' case - their satellite would be pointing West. This made them a quarter of a rotation after us.
What this eventually led to was three things - the first one being that the areas themselves possibly moved in a clockwise direction around the watch rather than pointing at each other, the second one being that there were four areas in the Watch Realm - with the fourth most likely going to the Third Tiers when the time comes, and the third one being that the patterns indicated a possible time discrepancy with the real world.
Paired along with the movement of the satellites, which we somehow didn't take into account earlier, the rotations from one point to the next were what we originally deemed to be two rotations per day, as one would expect from a watch."
"However," 'I decided to quickly take over, since the next part was going to involve my own account.' "Whilst Halilintar, Gempa, Blaze, Ais and Duri were competing against Qually in cooking Tom Yum for their respective wants, Taufan and I decided to use the viewing screen to watch through Gempa's eyes as they worked, seeing as they didn't need that much energy for a trivial occasion such as that one. When they had announced that the timer had reach twenty minutes remaining, I had informed Taufan that I was going to prepare some ice water and glasses for everyone when they returned. He nodded, and I took my leave. I kept my eye on my watch, leaving at 10:25 AM and returning about 10:31 AM. However, Taufan started exclaiming to me that 10 minutes had already gone on the timer, and they were in their last stretch. When I told him that only about 6 minutes and 30 seconds had gone past on my watch, the realisation finally set in."
"Looking into it further, the rotations of the satellites reflected the hour hand of our watches inside the realm but not outside the realm. The conclusion we came to was that time here moves at two thirds the speed that the real world does. We still age the same as BoBoiBoy - ruling out the possibility that we, too, age differently - so rather than time affecting all of us, it may only affect the areas within the watch that we live in." 'Cahaya described.' "Was that all you needed to hear from me, Solar?"
"That was great, Haya." 'I said with a proud smile on my face. The fusions shared the same sentiment, greeting Cahaya with proud and encouraging responses. He smiled bashfully and leaned away from the microphone.'
As far as we know, the Watch Realm exceeds our wildest imaginations and thoughts about what it is and what it could still be. It's existed since Ori had started using the Power Watch, made specifically for housing us when we're not summoned by him. Perhaps I'll make another log, but I have a feeling that it will be quite some time before I do so. Until then, our main focus should be looking out for each other, Ori and Ori's friends to ensure that everyone is in their best state. I shall be reviewing this later, but as of present these will be my final words for the recording: I wish all the best for the future when I review this.
"Byee!" 'Sori giggled.' "We're gonna kidnap Solar and force him to look at Supra's experiment now!"
"No need to force me," 'I smirked.' "I was going to ask if I could join you, anyway, so - may I?"
"Of course." 'Supra nodded.'
"You're always welcome to join us at any time." 'Sopan added.'
"Thank you."
This is Solar, signing out.
Notes:
Thank you for reading! I hope all of my recollections on BoBoiBoy as a series were somewhat accurate (excluding my 'head canons', of course). I'm scared that I misremembered something and an entire part of this plot just gets thrown out the window.
This was definitely an interesting one to write - I worried about how I was going to explain my AU without having to write an explanation at the beginning of every story. I decided to write in the POV of Solar. May have thrown some angst in there, but oh well... the moment that he had caused BoBoiBoy to drift off into space, he was practically deemed an angst magnet.
!! Do let me know if there are any errors evident !!
Chapter 2: Simplified Version
Summary:
Summary of my AU :D
Chapter Text
- There is a Watch Realm and a Real World.
- The First Tier, Second Tier, Third Tier Elementals and Fusions all exist within the Power Watch
- There are separate areas in the Power Watch for them apart from the Third Tiers [because]
- Three new elementals of the same category (such as the first 3 Fusions) are needed to create a new area of the watch
- The watch prior to BoBoiBoy Galaxy doesn't follow Notes 2, 3 and 4
- The elements and fusions refer to themselves as brothers, but the elements refer to the fusions as cousins
- Tanah, Gempa and Glacier are considered the 'mothers' of the group
- Time in the Watch Realm moves at 2/3 the speed that it does in the Real World
Thank you ^^
