Chapter Text
Ellie's Pov
The sun light slowly came through Ellie's curtains and woke up the teenage Alpha. She had trouble sleeping last night and had no interest in school today.
It's her last year in Jackson's school, and she already knows from experience as a junior patroller that she wants to officially join patrols full time when she graduates.
She's knows Joel will be on her ass if she isn't up on time so she gets up. Eying her guitar on the rack she makes a mental note to pack it up for the bonfire tomorrow night. Dina requested a performance and she's not one to let down her best friend, especially since she wants Dina to be her Omega, although she would never admit that outloud. Dina was seeing her best friend Jesse lately. All three were close friends before any of them presented, and thus she feels a connection with them she doesn't want to lose, so she respects her Alpha friend's claim even though it kills her inside
She knew she had options as an alpha. Ther a no shortage of Betas and Omegas that would be interested in her, even if she is the "weird" Alpha. Ellie wasn't like other alphas. She keeps her scent under control, unlike most alphas who want to blare it out to assert their dominance. Ellie never understood why she wasn't like other alphas, but Dina insists that's what make Ellie her favorite alpha. Ellie knows her best friend is just trying to be sweet but comments like that always rip her apart inside
Ellie knows her rut will be approaching soon, which she find even more unbearable now since Dina has been seeing Jesse. She knows betas like Cat, Alice or Jenny would jump at the chance to be with her. She dated Cat for a while, and while they had a lot in common and were compatible sexually, Ellie know she didn't want Cat for a mate, and ended things, which devastated Cat. They haven't talked since then. On her last rut she used a willing Alice and later Jenny, but she felt sick afterwards. Another thing that makes Ellie the "weird" alpha is that she doesn't enjoy sex with no emotional connection. The best was with Cat, but she knew that they had no future.
She's also had multiple omegas throw themselves at her at the last festival, but Ellie has rejected them all. There's only one omega she wants, and she's not even going to consider another omega until the day she sees Dina marked.
After a quick shower and tossing on tight pair of jeans and red flannel, Ellie heads down to the kitchen. Gross coffee already made and breakfast was waiting for her. Joel had an early patrol and must of left it for her. She grabs the sandwich to eat on the way to school.
