Summary
Morrigan knows how to survive. She’s not so good at living. She climbs into the river herself and feels the cool water rush around her legs, and she waits, breathes deep, slow, breaths. She thinks of the Warden and of Leliana and of her mother; even if she doesn’t want to, her mother is always on her mind these days. When she dresses, when she steals food. When she catches her reflection in still water. She picks up a stone and drops it right through her throat, sending the image rippling away.
It is a pair of socks that changes things between them.
