“Go away!” Sofia hisses while pushing his hand off the armrest.
“What?” Nurmi exclaims. “I have just as much right to rest my arm here as you!”
“You have that one,” she points at the armrest to the right of him. “Leave mine alone,” Sofia huffs. She is not really mad, she just likes to annoy him from time to time.
“Well, I’m sorry, I didn’t know Sofia Karppi was entitled to everything,” he huffs.
“Is everything okay here?” One of the flight attendants asks when passing their seats. The woman has a calm look on her face, but it’s evident she is a little worried about the situation.
“Yes, my partner is just being a little irritated today, nothing to worry about. Kiitos.” The woman nods with a kind smile and continues her way to the front of the plane.
Then Sofia turns to him with an angry fire in her eyes.
“Are you being serious now?!” She breathes out in a quieter, agitated voice. Sakari just shows her a small, innocent smile. One that says he is only annoying her as much as she is. He places his own hand on hers and tangles their fingers. When she tries to pull away, Nurmi holds on a little tighter, but never as much to hurt her.
Sofia meets his eyes as he slowly releases the grip on her hand. “We can share the armrest, don’t you think?”
“Okay,” Sofia playfully rolls her eyes before turning to the window.
Soon the plane takes off, their arms still close together.
