Chapter Text
N̴̝̱̆o̴̡̓͐v̶̪̕a̸̲͆ can feel their consciousness slowly fade back to them, listening to the waves and seagulls around him. Where… were they? Who were they? And WHY does thinking about this hurt his head?!?!
…
It doesn’t matter.
N̴̝̱̆o̴̡̓͐v̶̪̕a̸̲͆ squeezes his eyes shut, then opens them, blinking away the sleepiness. Looking upwards to the sky, N̴̝̱̆o̴̡̓͐v̶̪̕a̸̲͆ sees that its night, and he can still see the s̴͈̒t̸̠̟̝͘a̷͖̐r̷̤͒͊̽s̷̠͚̞̊̏ --
Sitting up, N̴̝̱̆o̴̡̓͐v̶̪̕a̸̲͆ sees a big town nearby, with a few lights still on. It’ll be better to stay there then out here… , N̴̝̱̆o̴̡̓͐v̶̪̕a̸̲͆ thinks, and starts walking towards the nearest building with lights still on.
Standing in front of a wooden door, N̴̝̱̆o̴̡̓͐v̶̪̕a̸̲͆ stares at the sign above, trying to read it. Eventually, he gets tired of failing to read the sign, and walks in. There are a few lanterns hanging from the ceiling, giving the room a warm glow. In the back, there is a bar, with a person standing behind it, and a staircase leading to a second floor to their left. The receptionist says something, but N̴̝̱̆o̴̡̓͐v̶̪̕a̸̲͆ doesn’t understand, tilting their head to the side.
The receptionist frowns and looks N̴̝̱̆o̴̡̓͐v̶̪̕a̸̲͆ up and down. They sigh and gesture for N̴̝̱̆o̴̡̓͐v̶̪̕a̸̲͆ to follow them to the back room, saying something.
N̴̝̱̆o̴̡̓͐v̶̪̕a̸̲͆
follows.
