Summary
“Who is that?” Yunli asked frantically to the festivalgoers beside her.
“Oh, you don’t know? That’s Lady Yanqing, of course! She’s General Jing Yuan’s beloved daughter, Amicassador, and the Luofu’s honorary princess,” one replied before giving Yunli a second look.
“Wait, miss, shouldn’t you know this? You have the blue ribbon on your wrist, which could only mean you entered the martial arts tournament with Lady Yanqing’s hand in marriage as the prize.”
Yunli accidentally signs up for a martial arts competition meant to decide the General's daughter's future spouse, discovers she swings both ways in not just the sword, falls in love with a princess and a swordsman, and gets embroiled in a political plot.

Summary
“So it shall be. General Jing Yuan of the Luofu will become the centerpiece of the Alliance’s plans in the divine war,” Marshal Hua declares firmly as if the burden Jing Yuan had taken upon himself was something worthy of glory and praise. Everyone gathered knew it was more akin to a condemned prisoner lifting the bowl of poison to their own lips.
The Xianzhou returns to its original end of vanquishing the Abundance at any cost. Jing Yuan has always done what was necessary, while Yanqing learns the price of war.

"So, in summary, forgive me for being so crass, but let's make it simple- Yanqing, your position is up for grabs in the next martial competition!"
After Yanqing's consecutive failures to serve the Xianzhou, it's made clear that his place by the General isn't guaranteed at all— he has to fight for his right to stay Lieutenant and to remain by Jing Yuan's side. The cost of failure? Being kicked out from Jing Yuan's home and being demoted to Private: destroying every sacrifice he's made for this role.
To make it worse, there's more behind the competition than meets the eye, and it has to do with the fact that Jing Yuan is given the unfortunate ability to read Yanqing's mind.
OR: Jing Yuan and Yanqing know exactly where they stand with each other, but hope blurs the line.

A Foxian with light purple hair looks at Jingliu with a smile on her face. She’s perky—too perky for the organized chaos of the Palace of Astrum—but she seems like she can handle it.
“Only if you want to be found,” Jingliu says.
Jingliu doesn't mind being a Cloud Knight. When your only memories of your home are that of its death, you can't be picky with who takes you in. Unfortunately, her skill with a blade catches the eye of her superiors, who ask her to lead a group to defend against an Abundance attack on a nearby ship. She can't be picky with who she takes with her, either.
Or, how Jingliu finds companionship in the sword, her friends, and the sword once more.
