Chapter Text
Finney couldn't sleep. Not because of the case him and his boys have been working on. Though, that did put him under quite a bit of stress. It was the man. That man. The man from the restaurant, that somehow Griffin got the number of in just seconds.
'Holy shit' was all that went through his head.
He felt weird about him. Sure, he was attracted to him. The man was attractive. So very attractive. But, he didn't think it was the attraction itself that gave him this feeling. He felt like there was something being hidden. Almost like it was something no one knew about, and that was what confused him.
Should he text him? Maybe that would make him feel better. He did have his number written down on a napkin after all. Or was that too fast?
'God Finney, make up your mind'
He took a few seconds to decide this over. Either he could text him and find the man he would have fall in love with for the rest of his life, or he could text him and absolutely embarrass himself and ruin his chances with the guy.
Finney was twenty four years old. He did not need to be acting like a teenage girl.
He was going to text him.
Grabbing his phone and the napkin that had just so happened to conveniently be right next to each other, typed in the number. Finney was having doubts. This guy could've written down the wrong number so Finney wouldn't text him. What if the guy wasn't even looking at him and it was at someone else? He shook his head. It had to be him. Right?
He started typing.
Finney - Hey! This is the guy from the restaurant, do I have the right number?-
Finney could only hope that it was. If it wasn't, he would probably just kill himself.
He set his phone down. Not really knowing if he should go to sleep, or wait for an answer. If there was a message to wait for.
There was a ding. Finney snatched his phone so fast. Almost hitting his face with it. It was a text. He inspected it.
Billy - Hey, yeah you have the right number, I was waiting for you to say something-
Finney was very happy to say the least. The man was waiting for him. He was struggling to find the words to reply with.
'Oh my god what do I do?'
Finney - Sorry, I was just a bit busy-
Was that really all Finney could come up with?
Yes.
Yes it was.
Billy - You're good, your friend is very confident isn't he?-
He knew he was talking about Griffin, and he couldn't say he disagreed. Griffin is very out-going for someone who used to be so quiet. You just need to get to know him. Finney loved him for it.
Finney - He really is, Griff is the more outgoing one in our group!-
He sort or wanted to rant about them. No one really asked about his friends other than Gwen. Speaking of Gwen, he really should call her soon.
Billy - I can tell, some of the things he said left me stunned to say the least-
Finneys eyes widened in horror. Griffin didn't tell him what he said. He should've asked more.
Finney - Oh no what did he tell you-
Billy - Just some very funny things-
The man was replying back fast. It was decently late so he would've assumed he'd be asleep. Like any other normal person. It left him wondering. He'd ask about it in a bit. But, only when he found out what Griffin said.
Finney - I need to know, please I'm begging you-
Billy - Well he told me you called me the most majestic man you've ever seen and he needed my number for you-
Billy - Oh and that you wanted to kiss me, can't leave that out!-
'what the shit'
Finney was astounded. Dumbfounded. Quadriddled. If that was even a word. He didn't do anything but stare at his phone. Griffin did not need to be saying all that. He was going to have a few words with him tommorow.
Finney- WHAT-
Finney- NO HE DIDNT?-
'Oh good grief Finney, you're texting him in all caps, now he's gonna think you're weird'
Billy - YES HE DID-
Billy - I thought it was very funny!-
Two grown men texting in all caps to each other. How cute. At least he didn't ruin his chances?
Finney - IT IS NOT-
Finney - It's the complete opposite-
Billy - Well I think it was, it gave me a good laugh!-
Billy - I'll have to thank him one day for helping me out-
He was confused know. Finney was really going through a roller coaster of emotions right now. First he was scared, then he was shocked, and now he's confused. Griffin couldn't have helped him with anything. They didn't even know each other.
Finney - Wait, help with what?-
Billy - Get your number of course, or at least give you mine-
Oh. Finney wasn't thinking right. Of course that was what he was talking about. It was too late for this, though Billy was worth talking to.
Finney - Oh, I'm not thinking straight sorry, it's late-
Billy - Don't be, I get like that too-
He smiled. Finney enjoyed the next few minutes talking to Billy, not knowing what the other boy was up to and the weird feeling about him slowly disappeared.
The man looked up from his phone. There the brunette stood in a dark alley way. He could hear the beeping of cars in the distance, with the slightest sound of weeping. A man lay on the ground, covering in blood. His clothes almost soaked in it. It was a very disgusting sight. The victim being so injured, could barely make out a cry for help, but they all knew he was trying too. They always did.
One of his partners crouched down to the man's face whispering something no one could here. His long blonde curly hair slightly covered in blood, drooping over the victims face. It only took seconds for the man to process what he said. His eyes somehow widening even more. Billy made eye contact. The mans eyes were full of hatred and fear. All he could do was smile at him. Not one of those kind smiles that tell you everything going to be okay, but a smile that tells you it's not. A very sarcastic smile. Agonizing.
The blonde man still hovering over their victim gave his final few words before slowly pulling out his knife. From where? Who knows. Billy could see a smile on his face even while being behind him. The knife was shoved closely into the man's face, the streetlight at the end of the alley reflecting off of it. Billy's partner stopped for a second. He knew what the blonde wanted to do. He wanted to gourge his eyes out. Sadly enough he was never able to before. The last time he tried to they almost got caught because he wanted the eyes in perfect condition. Blondie over here is a perfectionist.
That's when the blonde stopped thinking. The knife striking into the mans chest four times. Billy counted each stab.
One.
Two.
Three.
Four.
Thudding sounds flooded the alleyway. They finished the job. The man stopped breathing. That was something to be happy of. The three had been waiting for this day for a while. Even taking the time to plan out everything they would do.
Step one was to wait until midnight and find a secluded area the man went to constantly. It would help give them time to finish everything they started. The lack of people also gave a little comfort. Not that they needed any. No one being around meant no one could report it.
Step two was getting him weak. One of them, specifically his other partner, would knock him down and break a few bones. The legs were a big attack point. An arm could also be broken if he felt like it.
Step three being actually confronting him of the things he's done, and eventually killing him. They liked to throw harsh comments just for the fun of it.
Of course they had their reasons as to why they did these things. If they didn't, they wouldn't be highly wanted by the government.
The police wouldn't be here for a few more minutes so they had the time to leave some hints. Though, the hints were never figured out. Billy's other partner had already been leaving his own sign. One of the insults he loved giving. The person who found the body most likely wouldn't know what it mean anyways. The police would struggle figuring it out. Always having to call in a translator even though they could easily just translate it themselves.
Billy scrunched his nose in disgust, it reeked of flesh and blood. Obviously. He's supposed to be used to it by now, and he mainly was, but it was still disgusting. He thought of something.
"Would it be funny for our little friends to find this guy taped to the wall?"
He knew it would be. At least to them.
One of them perked up at this.
"Yes it would, very good idea Bill!" His friend quickly finished up his writing and walked over to their victim.
"I like your work Vance" He happily said.
Their friend snapped his head so fast in his direction. Billy swears if he snapped it any faster it would've snapped.
"Shut it dipshit someone's gonna hear" The other one quickly said in a low whisper.
"Yeah yeah yeah, worry all you want, im gonna take this into my own hands" He pointed at the body.
The blonde backed away with a grumble, seemingly mumbling something under his breath. The other man throwing his hands up in defense, grabbed their victim and dragged him over to the building wall. They picked a nice spot to do this considering there was a lack of graffiti on the walls. It wouldn't throw the attention away from the body.
"We still have our tape right?"
Billy rolled his eyes sarcastically. It was too dark to see it though.
"Of course we do, how else did we shut him up earlier?"
He had a deadpanned look thrown at him. His friend muttering what Billy had said in a high pitched voice.
That's how they ended their night. Nothing else was said, walking away from their victims gruesome body taped to the wall. It would only take seconds for the police to arrive just like they've been expecting.
Billy thought it was a good day. He would be able to sleep in peace tonight knowing another disgusting person was out of this world. Exactly like he always did.
His eyes widened in realization for a split second. He forgot to text back Finney. Yanking his phone out of his back pocket, he checked for a message. There was one. He read it over with a smile growing on his face.
-I've always loved that place, I have so many memories there-
The two had previously been talking about the restaurant they saw each other in. Finney was breathtaking. He had light brown hair with messy curls that reached down to his ears, with eyes that you could never look away from. When he saw him in that moment, he knew exactly what he wanted. He wanted Finney. Nothing would stop him from getting him.
He was very happy that his friend came up to them in their booth. Without him he wouldn't be talking to Finney. Maybe not even seeing him again. Well, at some point he'd find him. He had his ways. He wondered when the next time they'd meet in person would be. But, he could think about that later, he needed to text him back first.
-I do too, me and my friends go there alot!!-
Did he usually text people like this? No. He hasn't and never will. For Finney though, he'd sacrifice some of his reputation of being a not so caring guy.
His phone lit up almost immedietly. Pretty fast answer from a guy he's only known for a day. His friends took notice of this.
"Who's texting you so late at night"
"Not saying Rob" He answered defensively.
"Oh come on! I just wanna know" He pushed.
The blonde one snorted.
"I bet it's his boyfriend from the restaurant"
He wasn't wrong. Actually, the boyfriend part was. Billy would change that later on.
Robin's jaw dropped for a second.
"You're right, I forgot about that!" He sounded very excited.
You know for three grown men in their twenties, you'd expect them to be a little more mature and not so weird about relationships. Though, to be fair, they were best friends. They always had this kind of friendship.
"Even if it was, I wouldn't tell you" Billy spoke with a smile on his face. They both knew he was joking.
"You wouldn't have to because we'd find out" Robin pointed his finger to the sky with a sly smirk on his face.
"Whats he saying anyways?" The blonde seemed interested in this too.
"What Vance said"
"We're just talking about random stuff, nothing important"
They were walking to their car while talking. The car that they used for when they went out on nights like this. The three hopped in. Vance was driving this time. Billy had already drove them there. It was always the two of them driving everywhere, since Robin preferred having the whole back seat to himself.
"It's gotta be important enough to hide it" Vance replied.
"I'll tell you when we get back home"
He wasn't so sure about that. He just hoped they would forget about it and they'd eat or something. Maybe he could just go back to sleep like he wanted to.
The three left it at that. A comfortable silence filling the car. His mind went back to Finney, and that's what he thought about until they got home.
One day Finney would be his. He would make sure of it.
