Chapter Text
I’m not seen as much of anything in my world. You see, I am born quirkless, but that’s not all. I have always wanted to be a hero, even after my mother and my father tossed me to the orphanage when I was four and moved to America. I suppose that I got lucky after I was moved to an orphanage called Kimura Home for Healing Children. The people there actually cared for me. They treated me with respect and kindness. There were actually other kids who were there because they had “villainous” or “weak” quirks and a few were even like me and quirkless.
The old lady that ran the place was named Yukina Kimura. She had a quirk that made her look like a willow tree. She was a first generation quirked woman who’s quirk had allowed her to live for over a hundred years. She had been running the orphanage since the beginning, taking in kids whose parents got rid of them for having quirks in general. She cared for all of us equally. There were twelve of us in the orphanage that were all close to the same age for the seven years that I spent there, before tragedy struck us.
A villain fight happened on the street in front of the orphanage and an attack managed to hit the building. Ms.Yukina Kimura was hit and ended up dying before the medics could arrive. All of us were immediately in fear of being separated and sent to worse places, but fate took pity on us, or so we thought at the time.
“Don’t worry young ones, we will help you,” said a beautiful woman with long blonde hair with fox ears and tail. She wore leggings and a skirt with a nice blouse. I recognized her as a member of the K-Pop group that were also part time heroes, Ahri of KDA. “I grew up in Ms. Kimura’s orphanage years ago, and I know that she helped take care of all of you in ways that most orphanages won’t. It was already an agreement I had with her, if anything was to happen to her that my group and I would take all of you in with our own private orphanage,” she explained. “While the others are finishing setting up the new building, I will be helping all of you pack up your stuff so we can all live there. So why don’t you all introduce yourselves?”
“I’m Powder, and I don’t have a quirk so you better not judge me nor them lady,” Powder declared.
“Hokage Hineta, my quirk is Vengeful Spirit,” a taller boy who was skinny with short brown hair introduced.
“Yugo Shiria, my quirk is called Hollowfication,” the boy with longer black hair said.
“Goichi Akagi, Enhanced Senses,” the blind boy said, walking up with his cane and messing with his dark brown hair.
“Doku Ayoki, my quirk is Rage Beast,” the boy with short black hair explained.
“Kineko Shira, Acrobatics,” the girl with long silvery white hair said.
“Blake Belladonna, Shadow Cat,” the girl with long black hair with two cat ears and a black tail waving behind her said.
“Ilia Amitola, Chameleon,” the smaller girl with longer dark brown hair said
“Yume Damura, Memory Smoke,” a girl with medium pink hair said.
“Anna, Power/Energy Absorption,” the smaller girl who was standing behind me said, fixing her gloves.
“Himiko, Transform,” the girl who had recently moved in said.
“Izumi Midoriya, quirkless,” I said.
“Alright, well, as most of you probably know, I am Ahri Vesani, leader of KDA,” she introduced herself.
We all slowly began to pack up our belongings, which wasn’t much. After we were all packed up we were loaded into a massive van, which how it could hold all of us was odd. When we arrived at the new location I was instantly convinced that this was going to change a lot. Unlike the brick building that was in the city this looked more like a modern day mansion in size and look. We were led into the building and were met with the other three members of KDA standing there. Akali was wearing a jacket over a loose shirt and jeans. Kai’Sa was wearing a tight crop top with leggings. Evelynn was wearing leather leggings and a shiny purple shirt.
“Hey, I’m Akali Tethi, nice to meet ya,” the rapper said.
“Hi, I’m Kai’sa Ariti, let me know if you need anything,” the dancer offered with a small smile.
“Hello, I’m Evelynn Slivia, I hope to provide you all the best lives we can provide,” the diva said, her voice softer than her normal tone.
“Um, h-hi,” a smaller voice said from behind them as two fox ears poked out from behind Kai’sa’s legs along with a tail. “I-I’m Kin Vesani,” a girl with golden blonde hair said, stepping out.
“So, a few things that we suppose we need to explain to you all is that all of us are married and this is our daughter Kin,” Ahri explained. “She’s twelve years old right now.”
The next two years were both wonderful and terrible times for us. KDA had decided that we should all go to a private school, the same as their daughter, but there we were treated worse than at Aldara. The students were all from affluent families and we weren’t, we were orphans whose parents hadn’t wanted us. Even worse, they were even more quirkist than anyone else. Once it came out what our quirks were, what they could do, and if we didn’t have any at all they all treated us as nothing more than tools for them to use. We were all banned from clubs and teams.
However, at our new “home” it wasn’t too much better. Whenever Kin had some form of event we were left alone so KDA could all go cheer her on. When they were all there they did try to help us with different things. Kineko, Ilia, and I usually hung out with Akali who would help us get more nimble and work on our acrobatics.
“Wow, you three are doing wonderful,” she praised.
“Well, it helps when people always chase you and you need to escape bullies,” I muttered.
“Come on, I know it’s probably difficult at school but it couldn’t have been that bad,” Akali said.
“You wouldn’t understand, you have a quirk,” I shot back.
“But I grew up as if I was quirkless, until I got my back tattoo,” she explained, motioning towards the dragon that was partially visible under her tank top.
“And that was how long ago? It’s well known that KDA has been together for over twenty years and you don’t look much older than twenty so it must make you age slower like the others. Times have changed, being quirkless might as well as be a death sentence,” I said. “I’m done,” I decided, walking out to my room shared with Powder.
That night the band left for Kin’s concert since she took after them and was a singer. All of us gathered up in my room.
“I’m fed up!” Powder shouted. “We’ve been here for two years and it’s been terrible. We would be better off just leaving and going on our own!”
“But then we won’t be able to become heroes,” Yugo sighed.
“Why be heroes? They haven’t helped us,” Himiko muttered.
“You’re right, we can be better,” I said. “Heroes do it for the money, but we can do it for the right thing and be vigilantes. I mean, with our abilities and such we can easily take down lower powered villains and criminals.”
“Izumi, are you sure about that?” Blake asked.
“Yeah, I mean, you know how strong you are, and Powder-”
“Jinx,” she interrupted.
“What?” Kineko asked.
“I won’t be Powder anymore, I’ll be what the people who took my sisters called me, a Jinx,” she decided.
“Well, we can build a lot of things. We have more mechanical knowledge than most adults do,” I explained, recalling the mechanical engineering books we read all the time.
“But what should we call ourselves?” Doku asked.
“We’ll be the League of Legendary People,” Goichi said.
“Why don’t we shorten it to League of Legends?” I asked.
“I like it,” Powder (Jinx?) said.
“Then we should move now, everyone, pack a single bag and we can head out now,” I said, recalling a place we could use as a starting base.
Once we were all packed up I led us down the road and while it took us two days eventually I got us to the beach I had passed as a child all the time, it was filled with trash and was the perfect place for us to stay hidden.
Two Years Later
“Remember your group’s job, deal with the teachers. Got it Zero?” the hand guy said.
“Yeah, whatever,” I said, adjusting my pistol as I looked at my crew in their assorted costumes.
Jinx had grown her hair into two extra long braids with her blue hair. She wore a crop top with tight pants and crossed belts. She had her cannon on her back and pistol in her hand as her eyes glowed an odd purple color from the chemicals she had accidentally inhaled.
Hokage was wearing black leather pants and jacket as his skull was visible through the flames that engulfed him. His motorcycle that Jinx and I built looked like a vehicle from hell as it matched his moniker, Ghost Rider.
Yugo’s face was covered with a white mask as he wore a black and white outfit similar to a newer hero whose powers are somewhat similar to his own. He had a large blade from his quirk on his back as well as one on his waist. He went by the name Zangetsu.
Goichi wore a fully red armored costume with DD on the chest and two small horns on the head with his eyes covered by the mask. His name was Daredevil.
Doku messed with the metal bracer we built to control his other form as he wore size changing shorts and tank top. His name was what his quirk called itself, Hulk.
Kineko wore a skin tight black catsuit with white fur around her neck and a domino mask. Her father was a thief and used a similar costume. Her body had grown a lot more than most of us and she filled out the chest of her new costume. Her name was Black Cat.
Blake wore a fully covered black and purple costume with armour. Her costume was cat themed as was her name, Black Panther.
Ilia was wearing a skin tight shirt that shifted colors with her along with booty shorts. She went by Shifter.
Yume wore a simple shirt and skirt combo with a mask covering her eyes and forehead. She decided she wanted to be called Dreamer.
Anna wore a black tank top under a thin green shirt. She also wore a black skirt and green leggings with black boots. She went by Rogue.
Himiko chose to wear a full cover catsuit with knives hidden all over that would fill canisters with blood for her to use. We called her Dhampir.
I had a tactical suit that protected me from attacks and used guns and katanas. My costume was white and black with the eyes being enlarged and a Z on the belt. (Deadpool’s X-Force suit)
We had agreed to an attack we heard about on UA. It was supposed to be on the students of the hero course and teachers with them at an off site location. However we had a different plan, fight the villains and take them out before they could do anything. The plan included killing All Might, and despite us not fully agreeing with him and his opinions on certain topics, I knew that it was better to keep him alive, especially with his condition that I learned about after a chance meeting with him.
We were all prepared to split up and take out all of the people before they could do anything. Dhampir would get some of their DNA to secretly give to the authorities to identify them if they managed to escape.
“Alright, let’s go,” Handyman said, walking through the purple portal as the large bird-like creature followed him.
“Don’t forget the plan guys,” I said, holstering my pistol as we followed.
