Work Text:

Jungha was living her dream. She believed that this was truly her destiny. That she ended up falling in love with all of her bandmates really cemented this belief in her mind. People often went through life without finding even one soulmate and she had found six. She owed all of this to her job. She absolutely loved performing and writing music and she got to do it with the loves of her life, so she couldn’t really complain. The downsides of the job were hitting her hard right now though. Bangtan had risen in popularity drastically in the past year and each member was an ambassador for a different luxury brand. Adding to this the solo projects a bunch of her girlfriends were working on for no real reason except for their sheer passion for the work they did and wanting to share more with their fans, it was no wonder Jungha had hardly spent quality time with her girlfriends.

Jungha hated to admit it to herself but she was feeling a bit neglected lately. Namjoo had told her time and time again that communication is key if they wanted this to work out, if they wanted to love each other right and be loved right but Jungha didn’t feel good about talking to them about this because she knew they were already stressed out. Adding onto their stress right now would just make her feel worse.

She also hadn’t really worked through what she was feeling exactly. It wasn’t like she was being ignored or that anyone wasn’t spending time with her on purpose. Any free time they had was spent together. It’s not like she had a lot of time to dwell on it either. From the recording sessions for her solo album, to practising choreography, to doing interviews to promote her single, she was swamped. She just wished she had her steady and reliable girlfriends to vent to during this period of exhaustion, to just cuddle to relieve some of her stress, but they were more or less going through the same thing.

They lived in the same house, one that was practically a mansion. Being famous and bringing in a joint income with 6 other equally famous and successful people helped them live as luxuriously as they needed. The three-storied bungalow they called home comprised of 7 bedrooms, 2 kitchens, and lovely living rooms and joint spaces that had little pieces of each of them. Separate bedrooms were a choice they had made when they’d moved in together. It provided all of them a private space to breathe and anyone who wanted to sleep together just slid into someone’s bed at night. Sleeping arrangements were ever-changing in their home, but that was just the way things had worked out. Jungha knew that everyone usually used the kitchen downstairs, the one on the first floor was just a convenient medium for water in the middle of the night for the girls who had their room on the first floor. This way, going down to grab something to eat usually resulted in catching a glimpse of at least one of her pretty girlfriends, before they got distracted by something else on their busy schedule.

Jungha made her way downstairs, only a sweatshirt swamping her slim figure. She couldn’t be bothered to put pants on in the comfort of her own home.
The kitchen, to her disappointment, seemed to be empty, just like the rest of the house.. She sighed, and started making herself a bowl of cereal.

The lock of the door clicked at that moment and Jungha looked hopefully towards the entrance of the kitchen. “Jungha!” Seojin’s voice called out. The stress melted off her shoulders at the mere sound. She bounded towards where Seojin was and threw her arms around her neck violently. Arms wrap around her tiny waist and the smell of sandalwood and jasmine surrounded her. Seojin’s signature.
She instantly buried her face in her girlfriend’s neck, trying to be as close as possible.

“Where the fuck have you been?” she mumbled poutily. Seojin cackled at the accusatory tone. “Been making money for us baby, need to give you that lavish lifestyle you deserve,” she crooned teasingly. Jungha’s face heated up and she petulantly bit her neck in retaliation, looking up at the resulting yelp unimpressedly.

“Everything you do points to you being a furry.”

“Woof,” Jungha brought her hands up to Seojin’s face and licked a stripe along her cheek. Seojin pushed her away with a grimace, going red at the ears. “I hate everything you choose to be.”

Jungha just smiled and pulled her into a hug again, this time fitting her hands around Seojin’s waist and kissing down her neck softly but noisily. “Missed you so much, unnie.” Jin sighed, something relieved in the tone of it, and gripped Jungha’s chin to bring her into a kiss. Soft, almost chaste, except for the way she gently bit onto her lower lip and pulled it towards her.

Jungha whined, but neither of them tried to deepen the kiss. Jin dropped noisy pecks onto Jungha’s pouty lips, making up for lost time. “What a sight for sore eyes.” A voice drawled, smug and painfully hot. Jungha dreamt of falling asleep to that voice. “Yoonji unnie!”

She rushed over to greet her, bending down to put her forehead against her temple.

“Abandoned so easily. My mother warned me about people like you Jungha,” Seojin whined, pouting.. Yoonji scoffed, rolling her eyes. “Don’t tease the baby. You missed me just as much. Give into your urges unnie, c’mere.”

Seojin made a show of groaning and complaining but rushed over just the same. At the end of the day, this was Yoonji, her forever roommate, her fishing partner, ⅙ of her heart. Nonchalance had no place in love.

Jungha grinned, and gently detached herself from Yoonji. She kissed both her girlfriends on the cheek and went back to her bowl of cereal, no longer able to ignore the pang of hunger in her stomach. She barely got a spoonful of cereal into her mouth before the sound of moaning and kissing filled her ears. She turned around, excited to enjoy the show with her bowl of cereal. She was met with the sight of Seojin backed against a wall, Yoongi crowding her. They were connected at every point of their bodies, Seojin seemed to be trying to drown herself in Yoonji. She took another bite, thoroughly entertained and very affected.

Yoonji and Seojin broke apart, breathing hard. Seojin closed her eyes and tilted her head back to lean it against the wall for some extra support, now that her legs felt a bit weak from being so thoroughly kissed. When she opened her eyes, she made eye contact with Jungha, a shit eating grin on her face and heat in her eyes, shovelling cereal into her mouth. “Dude..why are you such a freak?” Yoonji turned around curiously and snorted at the sight too. Jungha raised an eyebrow. “You’re the ones making out in front of me all sexual style. How am I the freak?”
“Sexual style? Why do you talk like a 10 year old boy?” Yoonji groaned.

Jungha just laughed in response, her focus back on her cereal. She finished her cereal and put the bowl in the sink before dragging Seojin and Yoonji to the living room couch to cuddle.
“I’ve missed you. I know we’ve all been busy because of work but I want to catch up on everything. Where were you shooting? Did the company greenlight the track you wanted to put on your mixtape? Tell me everything, both of you!”

“Namjoo unnie! Hyoseon unnie!” Jungha leaped up from her spot on Yoonji’s lap with her legs spread across Seojin’s lap, accidentally kicking at her girlfriends in the process. Their pained groans were drowned out by the sound of Namjoo and Hyoseon cooing over Jungha. She arranged them to be happily sandwiched between them, alternating dropping kisses to each of their faces noisily.. “You missed us so bad, baby?” Hyoseon teased through giggles. Jungha looked up at her through her eyelashes. “Did you not miss me too?” she asked coyly, knowing the answer to the question already. Namjoo poked her in the stomach and kissed her hard. “You know we did, you brat.”

“It’s been so long since so many of us have been in the same room at the same time,” Yoonji remarked from the couch, her eyes lit up from seeing her girlfriends. Namjoo walked over to Yoonji and Seojin and sunk into the couch beside them after kissing them.

Hyoseon settled down on Yoonji’s lap, and kissed her and Seojin hello. Jungha claimed Namjoo’s lap, sitting against her so snugly that it was hard to make out which limbs belonged to whom.
“Tae and Jimin?” Namjoo inquired. Jungha perked up on her lap and informed them that they had told her that they would be free after lunch that day. Namjoo smiled fondly at her and stroked her bare thighs, making her melt back into her, leaning her head against her shoulder. “Jimin told me they’d be free after lunch today. They should be here soon. I think.” Jungha beamed, unable to control her happiness at the thought of all her girlfriends with her. Yoonji hummed thoughtfully. “What should we do when we’re all here? It’s been so long, we should do something special.”

Hyoseon smirked at her from her perch on her thighs. “You’re such a sap, unnie,” she teased. Yoonji grumbled in response but tightened her grip around her. Jungha looked up mischievously to meet her eyes. “I can think of something to do,” she said, waggling her eyebrows in the least subtle way possible.

Everyone groaned. Hyoseon took the trouble to smack Jungha on the shoulder. Jungha pouted. “As if everyone wasn’t thinking the same thing. Hmph.” Yoonji rolled her eyes, and reached over Seojin to kiss the pout of her lips quickly. “I don’t think we need to plan for sex, baby. I think that’s pretty inevitable. I know I’m pent up from not seeing you guys for so long. But that’s not what I meant. I want to spend time otherwise too.”

Seojin tapped at Jungha’s ankles in consideration, humming low in her throat. “Let’s watch a movie or something. I don’t want to do something tiring, I’m tired all the time anyway.”
Namjoo nodded in agreement. “Sounds good, what movie should we watch?” Hyoseon grabbed her phone, quickly typing something out. “As long as it's not horror, I’m chilling. Also, I’m texting Jimin and Tae to get me some OJ from the convenience store. Does anyone want anything?”

Everyone spoke over each other to voice their requests. Hyoseon rolled her eyes. “One by one, please,” she enunciated clearly as if she was talking to a bunch of five year olds. This time Jungha reached over to hit her. Today was so good.

“Jimin-ah,” Taehee softly called out. Jimin looked up to find her girlfriend looking at her. “Ready to go back home?”
Jimin beamed at her, getting up and winding her arms around Tae’s waist. “Mhm, can’t wait to see everyone,” she mumbled, already feeling relaxed with Tae’s warm presence around her. Tae pressed a quick kiss to her hair and guided her to the exit of the building. “Freedom at last!” she exclaimed, making Jimin giggle at her antics.

“Hyoseon unnie texted with a pretty big grocery list, though. We won’t be seeing them as soon as you would like.”

“Ughhh, why is it always us? Whatever, let’s get this over with quickly, I’m so tired.” Jimin replied while cracking her neck.

Taehee winced in sympathy at the multiple cracks and put a hand over the back of Jimin’s neck to massage it while guiding her to their car in the parking lot. They ran their errands as fast as possible, racing against time to make it back home before sundown.

Jungha heard the click of the door opening and bounded to the hallway to greet her unnies. Taehee and Jimin were met with an armful of Jungha, the burden of her weight forcing them to drop the grocery bags their arms were filled with, though they would never dream of complaining about it.

Jungha kissed them both before enveloping them in a warm three way hug. “Let me take that for you,” she said politely, picking up the grocery bags from the floor. “I missed my pack mule,” Jimin teased, punctuating her proclamation with a loud, exaggerated kiss to Jungha’s lips.
Jungha set the grocery bags in the kitchen and took a deep breath, something deep inside her fully settling. Everything was as it was supposed to be.

“We’re watching Happiest Season by the way,” Seojin informed Taehee and Jimin. Jimin groaned loudly. “Again? It’s not even close to Christmas anyway, why are we watching a Christmas movie?”
Seojin and Jungha gasped out loud. “How dare you? Kristen Stewart with an undercut deserves to be enjoyed all year round!” Jungha protested.
Hyoseon hummed. “That swayed me actually, I agree. Not to mention, Aubrey Plaza is in it too. Let’s watch it.”

Jimin play-protested with a groan but the effect of it was diminished with how quickly she put the movie on. Kristen Stewart with an undercut was hard to resist.

Jungha snuggled closer to Namjoo. “We should make this a tradition: one day a month where we’re all together with no work, no schedules, no stress. Just us.”
Yoonji raised an eyebrow. “One day? Dream bigger, baby. It should at least be two weeks out of the month. A day won’t satisfy me.”

“I’m being serious!” Jungha insisted, though her pout makes her look anything but. “I hate being away from you so much. Even when I’m busy, I’m still thinking about you. No matter what I do, I’m thinking about you.”

Seojin reached over to cup Jungha’s cheek, her thumb brushing softly against her skin. “We feel the same way, baby. Days like this are so special to me.”

The rest of the day passed in the blink of an eye, time passing unfairly fast when they’re all together. Jungha didn’t know when she had fallen asleep but she knew it was to the background noise of Taehee and Namjoo enthusiastically arguing whether Kristen Stewart should have ended up with Aubrey Plaza. She smacked her lips sleepily, opening one eye to survey the now quiet and dark living room. All her girlfriends were sprawled across her and each other, fast asleep. She smiled, satisfied, and closed her eyes to succumb to sleep again.
