Chapter Text
-Do I have to go?- Ashlyn groans to her friend Taylor, who rolls her eyes in amusement at this question. She laughs as the redhead, lying on her bed, rolls onto her stomach and pressing her face into the pillow.
-You have to go- the brunette sita down next to the girl and sighs- I understand Ashlyn that you're nervous. But you will have us and you will stick to us. Aiden definitely won't take hit eyes off you- She pats her on the back with a laugh. Ashlyn feels her face turn red, but luckily her friend doesn't see it.
Ashlyn recently came to see Taylor, intending to stay the night. The next day, girl and boys are going to their classmate Lucy Hale's 18th birthday party. The redhead decided to spend the night with Taylor, who would support her mentally throughout the preparation.
Ashlyn doesn't want to go to this party. Her only motivation is the fact that she'll finally see Aiden and Ben after so long. The cousins went to Australia the first week of vacation. They go back last night.
The mere fact of drunk and horny teenagers turns her off. Loud music and jostling don't sound too cool either. Ashlyn prefers peace and quiet, and the only noise she can tolerate is that made by her friends during meetings. And there will be people there, half of whom will not know. Lucy is quite a popular girl at school, so it's obvious that she's throwing a party with half the students attending. Plus her friends outside of school.
Ashlyn actually doesn't know why Lucy invited her. They don't like each other because Lucy is in love with Aiden Clark. However, the blonde doesn't see this and shrugs off her advances. The girl is jealous that Aiden spends more time with Ashlyn because they are friends. She probably only invited her because if she didn't, Aiden wouldn't show up and the rest of the team wouldn't show up with him.
Ashlyn has never been to a party even though she is 17th. The very fact that she had always stuck only to herself and had no intention of becoming closer friends with anyone. It was enough for her that her peers did not tease her and she had a good relationship with the class when it came to sending notes or short conversations.
Until she entered high school 2 years ago, where she met Taylor and her twin brother, Tyler. The brunette wanted to be her friend at all costs on the first day of school. Then she met Logan, whom she now treats like the brother she no longer has. Then Ashlyn met Aiden and Ben.
The first time she saw Aiden, her breathing stopped. A beautiful, tanned boy with blond hair and red eyes. The sight of him took her breath away. She didn't know what it was because she had never felt this way around someone. Ashlyn decided to ignore it.
However, over the course of 2 years of friendship, feelings for Aiden developed. She blushed when he smiled at her or when their hands accidentally touched. But she still told herself it was nothing. She just found him to be a loud and sometimes annoying friend. A friend with whom she felt safe and whom she found charming.
3 months ago she realized that she is fall in love with him. And it was all because of Lucy Hale, whom she saw in the school corridor hitting on Aiden. Aiden, unaware of her advances, boldly talked to her and it was obvious that he felt comfortable with her. This sight made Ashlyn want to take Aiden away from her and scenes of the blonde girl and Aiden being a couple began to appear in her head.
Honestly? She wouldn't be surprised by that. Lucy is a beautiful blonde with big blue eyes. She has a beautiful figure and a confident character. When you meet her, you immediately get along with her very well. She is nice and helpful to everyone. Oh. And she is a cheerleader. Just an ideal girl.
And Ashlyn? She is a quiet girl who prefers to stay in the background. So the total opposite of Aiden. She doesn't like physical contact and it's hard to start any conversation with her at first. She's a redhead and almost covered in freckles, which could be cute, but Ashlyn has heard many times that people are repulsed by it and that redheads aren't very attractive. She also doesn't have a beautiful figure. She's just skinny. She is not flat, but she is far from a nice female body. That's why she only wears large jeans, sweatshirts, tracksuits and t-shirts. She is simply ashamed of her body.
Ashlyn knows that Aiden treats her only a friend, which hurts her terribly. She's also hurt by the fact that Lucy is more like him. By appearance and character.
That night after realizing all this, Ashlyn couldn't sleep and cried for the first time in a long time. She called Taylor in a panic and told her about her feelings for the boy.
Since then, the brunette has supported the girl in the matter and sometimes makes jokes about her love for Aiden. She also tells her jokes suggesting that the blonde has feelings for the redhead. She promised Ashlyn that she would do everything to make her and Aiden a couple, because she noticed that there was something between them during their first meeting.
-Why does Ashlyn look like she's dead?- Tyler suddenly enters the room, holding an energy drink in his hand. He looks like he just woke up, but it's 2 p.m. He has a tired look on his face and disheveled hair.
-You look more like you're dead- Ashlyn raises her head and looks at her friend. Tyler snorts.
-I took a nap- he scratches the back of his neck- At 11 a.m. I didn't get set any alarm- the girls start laughing- So what's going on?
-Ashlyn is stressed about the party- Taylor replies.
-No problem- her brother says, entering the room- We'll take care of you.
-I know- Ashlyn sights- The party is tomorrow- she gets up into a sitting position- Can we do something and leave this topic for now? I'll worry tomorrow.
The twins agree and decide together that the three of them will watch a movie in the living room. After watching half the movie, Tyler falls asleep hugging the pillow, and Ashlyn decides that she will take photos of him to send to the group chat.
He'll kill her.
