Work Text:
You loved waking up next to your lover. The way the sunlight would shine perfectly over her features, her hair all messy from the peaceful slumber, the feeling of her warmth radiating over the two of you, and that feeling of safety as you twist and turn gently in her arms.
It was 3 minutes till 7 o’clock, and you had woken up from a long, tiring evening. You were facing Lilia, who was still in deep sleep. Her arms were thrown over you lazily, and her legs were tangled with yours as her face was buried into the crook of your neck. You felt her breath against your neck, as her chest rises up and falls down slowly.
You sighed softly, enveloped in this moment. Your hands found their way into Lilia’s grey curls, frizzy and rough. Your fingertips ran over her scalp delicately, afraid to wake her up. Resting your chin against her hair, you felt her shifting against you, a sign that she was waking up. You began to shift back a little bit, giving her some space. But Lilia refused the action, pulling you closer to her as her arms tightly wrapped around you, groaning into your neck.
“And where do you think you’re going, hm?”
Lilia rasped, a hint of exhaustion noticeable in her voice. You giggled, kissing the top of her hair, letting it linger there for a little bit.
“Good morning to you, too.”
You felt Lilia smile against your neck, placing a small kiss, letting her lips rest there. You moaned softly at that, a jolt of pleasure shooting down your spine. Your hands continued to comb through her locks, resting in the peaceful silence.
That’s when Lilia began to shift back from you, untangling herself from you. You let out a small whine, missing her warmth and touch. You sat up, observing Lilia’s actions as she got up from the king-sized bed. Your eyes follow her actions, watching her as she gets up from the bed and throws her robe onto herself and ties it around her waist.
You throw the deep red comforter off of you, propping yourself up on your elbows. Now it’s your turn to ask;
“Now, where are you going? I thought you were closed for today.”
“I’m going to glam myself up, doll. Do you see the current state I’m in? Tsk, tsk.”
Lilia shakes her head, standing directly in the sun. The light reflects off of her big, brown, doe eyes, leaving you in awe.
“Current state? You look beautiful as always. Now, could you please come back to bed? I already miss you and you’re right in front of me.”
You plead, giving your best cute face. Lilia scoffs, looking down to the floor, but you catch a glimpse of a tiny smirk. She ends up giving in, discarding her robe and throwing herself onto the bed, as she playfully rolls her eyes.
“You’re so needy, baby.”
“How can I resist someone like you, though?”
Lilia smiled and let out a soft laugh, sitting up as she sat up against the headboard. You laid and watched as she shifted herself into a comfortable position. She looked at you, tilting her head.
“You’re staring, my love. Something on your mind?”
“Just you, and how much I love you.”
You crawled your way into Lilia’s lap, straddling her as you placed your hands onto her broad shoulders. Lilia immediately placed her hands onto your hips, holding you in place. She brings her right hand up to caress your face, her thumb running over your cheek.
“My beautiful baby. I’m so lucky to have someone like you, my darling.”
“I love you, Lilia Calderu.”
“I love you much more, my love.”
For the majority of the morning, you two rested in each other’s embrace, your head resting against her chest as her arms wrapped around you. You could hear the faint sound of her heartbeat, and you could feel the slow rise of her chest. Once in a while, you two would exchange glances and kisses, looking into each other’s eyes in complete admiration. You wish that every morning was like this.
