Summary:

Y/N L/N doesn't see the point in life or feel the joy that comes with accomplishments. She's never tasted true friendship or fun, has never been grounded in anything besides her own loneliness.

Miya Chinen hasn't felt the fun in skateboarding since his friends had up and abandoned him. Life's faded into a picture without color, food without taste, and skateboarding's become heavy luggage instead of something which could unlock the cage he'd been trapped in.

Chapter 1: tongue-tied (character descriptions and introductions)

 

Y/N (female reader)

Traits: Apathetic. Sarcastic, Spunky. Pessimistic. A Lonely teen who spends her days floating around groups, no loyalty to one or another, doesn’t get close to too many people. Feels disconnected from everyone else.

Miya Chinen:

Traits: Aloof, Blunt, Intelligent, Egotistical, Sardonic, Pessimistic. A loner who is soft at heart and afraid of losing any other one of his friends. Becomes friends with Y/N due to seating charts in their academic classes.

Takashi: 

Traits: Genuine, Witty, Logical. Previously a Friend of Miya's, however left him when he thought Miya was using him. Becomes an acquaintance of Y/N due to physics class. 

Rei Yaku:

Traits: Playful, Popular, Careless, Optimistic. A guy in Y/N and Takashi’s physics class who is often seen on the brink of failing, but despite this, is still cheery. While seen failing in physics, he is still exceptionally good at humanities such as History and English. A friend of Takashi's who does not seem to be fond of Miya. 

Yuki Sawaki: 

Traits: Bubbly, Outgoing, Carefree, lighthearted, open-minded. A part of the popular crew, but probably the most naive one. Often seen hanging around Haru Oshiku, who she proclaims is her best friend. Haru’s feelings for her seem muddled. 

Haru Oshiku:

Traits: Jaded, Egotistical, Harsh. A popular girl who might come off as vain and condescending at first, however is simply guarded. A friend of Yuki Sawaki's despite her hesitance to admit to the fact. 

Sozumi Ogawa:

Traits: Reserved, Studious, Dorky. A teenager who has been ‘branded’ as a theatre kid due to constantly hanging out and around the theatre club, however is actually a quiet, yet funny, girl.

Yui Teyoshi:

Traits: An Athletic, small-brained player boy who is often seen with the popular crew. Initially tries to date Y/N however does not spend too much time on her in order to pursue Hiromi Hana. Takashi’s friend.

Hiromi Hana:

Traits: Mischievous, Loud, Confident, Bossy, Tomboyish. Kozumi’s twin, who often tries to convince her sibling into her schemes. A Natural leader who is often described as immature for her unwillingness to change.

Hiromi Kozumi:

Traits: Observant, Polite, Pliable, Sophisticated, Enigmatic. Hana’s twin, who is often dragged into schemes and pranks regardless of if she actually wants to be involved or not. Due to growing up with Hana, she is often seen as a quiet, outspoken girl who doesn’t seem to talk about herself much.

Kunimi Umena:

Traits: Friendly, Outgoing, Sympathetic, Sensitive. A Pretty boy who is often seen around Takashi or being swarmed by girls who admire him. Friends with the Hiromi Twins, even though they often embarrass him.
