WAIT! WHAT DO YOU MEAN HEPHAESTUS?!

Or...

Hephaestus has enough of his family drama. He leaves Olympus and go live with the mortals. Hiding his powers and aura, nobody can find him. The only one that knows where and who he is are Poseidon and Hades, his favorite uncles. Lets see how he enjoys his life so far.

Chapter 1: The beginning of everything

"…WHAT ?!"

Oops…let’s go back in time. We’re not there yet.

40 years ago

Today is the Greek gods reunion. Not everyone have time to come but it still held a lot of gods in Olympus. Unfortunately, it’s also come with their argument. Fighting for pointless things. The good thing is that one of the god always ended up stopping those argument.

"ENOUGH !"

The hall fall silent.

"Those argument are pointless. You’re already more than thousands years old. Can’t you resolve those without arguing like that. I swear on myself that on the next meeting, if I have to stop another fight I’m leaving Olympus. "

Nobody took him for his words. Hephaestus was one of the god who always stayed calm. He stood to stop any argument that risked to injure a lot of people. He was scary when angry. Literally, a rule was born of it.

Never anger him.

So to say that the hall fell silent was not an exaggeration. They all stopped arguing.

The next reunion was worse.

He just took a step inside the hall that he saw someone flying next to him. He stared wide eyes. The hall stopped everything when they spotted him. Hephaestus slowly turned to them. Everybody was prepared to run if there was an outburst. It never came. The only thing that happened was Hephaestus saying "That’s it !" And storming out with an angry face.

They all though that it was just a little thing and that they would see him later.

He never came back.

Hephaestus was slowly swimming to Atlantis, lost in through.

"Everything alright ?"

He was startled by the sudden voice of his uncle.

"I left Olympus…I’m not going back…"

After explaining everything to Poseidon, he went to hell to talk to Hades.

Hephaestus was one of the only gods that the demon tolerate. Hephaestus sometimes compared the man to a father with how he took care of him since they met. He explained everything and got some advice on how he could hide.

"…hide your powers and aura, either way you need to live with mortals. You Can come see me if need anything…I'll be there"

Following Hades advice, he went to find some people to live with. That’s how he came across Howard stark.

The man was trying to find a supposed dead soldier named Steve Rogers.

In exchange for his help Howard took him in. They pretended he was his son. That’s how was born the identity of Anthony Edward stark. The prodigy of the stark family⁠.

Howard wasn’t really present as a Father, but Tony didn’t care. On the contrary, Howard’s wife, Maria Stark took care of him as if he was her own. It made him happy.

Happy about the fact that she taught him family recipe, motherly love, piano, Italian tradition and many more.

It seems it made him to happy.

Howard and Maria died on a car crash. Howard may not have been present much but he was still there and he learned a lot by looking at his work.

And he would miss Maria, his mother in anything but blood. He took the place of CEO of stark industries. He owned it to Howard for the hospitality and a lot more.

Everything was fine. He hated the fact about producing weapon but it was what Howard had started with. He took the personality of Genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist. So everything was perfectly fine.

Until Afghanistan happen.

He couldn't do anything with his power. Not a chance he will tell the gods where he is. He saved his mortal body by building an arc reactor.

Getting out of that cave Tony was glad to see some faces he knew. Rhodey and pepper that he came to consider as his siblings in anything but blood. He wouldn't tread them for his past life.

Chapter 2: Rogers vs iron

Summary:

I don't particularly hate captain America but hey we love every drama that we can get no?

Notes:

Meeting the man that his adoptive father was searching for a lot of years was surprising. I mean he would have been pleased to meet him if not for the fact that the man looked at him with a hint of disgust. The feeling was mutual anyway.

Fury insisted on creating the avengers. It was simple. A team to defend the world alright.

But WHY ?

Why did he have to house them. They didn’t even respected him ! He literally pay for any damage done on the city after a mission and he give them food and housing. They are ungrateful was his only thought at the moment.

He avoided them by staying in the lab and playing with technology.

He found it fun.

He had to also give them some weapon. That was annoying. They seemed like they didn’t know the words thank you and please.

He had enough.

Rogers was a douch bag. He didn’t even read the Accord. Just flipped some page. And the other didn’t even touch it ! The captain said no and the other didn’t question it.

Hephaestus, more like Tony, was losing it. But it was not a pointless fight like with his family.

Still, he was still displeased with Rogers. Howard made him a damn shield. Can’t the man be grateful. Why people had faith in the man was a mystery on itself.

In Hell

The people dubbed this the Civil war. Hades wasn’t really pleased to know someone hurted his nephew. The only thing that made him stay in hell was his duty.

He viewed Hephaestus as his son.

Zeus could go fuck himself if he thinks that Hades would let him make Hephaestus go back to Olympus if he reveal himself.

 

In Atlantis

Poseidon really wanted to drown people today. The tadle waves where bigger and strong than usual. His nephew didn’t deserve to be hurt like that.

The two gods weren’t pleased with the word. But they couldn’t act, it would be to suspicious.

Bruce and Thor being in space didn’t have any issues because of the Accord. The problem were the Rogues.

And mainly Rogers.

Meeting spiderman, Tony never thought he would be a teen. So he took it upon himself to give him a proper suit. The kid was a bubble of joy and Tony swore he runned on sunshine and that he would protect him and make him his ward if needed.

The fight at the airport was bad. Tony payed for the reparations. He felt angry. He just wanted to talk to Rogers, tell him to atleast read properly the Accord and ask for change if needed but no.

The man directly went for the fist fight.

Peter never thought he would meet the avengers one day. Less fight them ? He would have laughed and called you crazy a year ago if you told him that. Tony Stark himself came to see him. It was an epic fight.

The thing is that he doesn’t understand how captain America doesn’t want to sign the Accord. He doesn’t find it so bad himself. Maybe there was some changes to make but not that much. The only problem for him was his identity.

Well he’s happy. Mr stark gave him a suit and he has Happy’s number if he needed to contact them.

Working on the accord and everything else, Tony doesn’t really have time for Peter. He gave him Happy’s number and always listened to his storys.

It was surprising that he was so invested in the mortal’s life.

He would listen to the message Peter left when he felt like he was really going to kill Ross at some point.

Then Siberia happen

Why can’t I never have a BREAK ? He though.

Learning that Rogers was chasing after the man who killed his mother made him more angry than when they first meet.

What can he say ? The man think he is useless without his suits. He is a god. The suits are just the temporary utilisation for him to avoid his family.

Not that Rogers needed to know.

Anyway.

He went to Siberia to talk. If he wanted them dead, they wouldn’t have left the place with their body. Only their soul that maybe woul've ended up in hell.

He understood that Barnes was controlled , he doesn’t really hate him for the murder of his adoptive parents.

He may would created a simulation where he would and will maybe crush everything to loosen his anger.

So, seeing that video about the death of his parent and the face of Rogers. A face of guilty and conscienceless idiot, made him realize something.

"Did you know ?"

"No."

He had the audacity to lie to him. Tony want to plan a murder.

"Cut the bullshit and answer me Rogers ! Did.you.know ?!"

"… Yes"

That’s where every inch of rationality went out the window. He pushed Steve. He didn’t care for the consequences.

Then they fought. Rogers took his helmet. Friday got cut off, he slammed his shield on his arc reactor. The fucker didn’t think twice and tried to kill him.

He really hated the fragility of mortals.

At the tower

Being disconnected with Tony was a shock. He went to Siberia only with her and didn’t tell anyone else. She was in a state of panic.

She didn’t know what to do. Until she remembered that Tony was a god. And that his family where also gods.

She tried to reach Poseidon first. The god wasn’t answering. Maybe he wasn’t in land but underwater.

She tried to reach Hades next. This time she got an answer.

Chapter 3: Frozen god

Summary:

Going to Siberia is a bad idea if you don't tell anyone and you're talking to a douch bag like captain America.

Hades POV

The fact that Persephone can’t leave hell without supervision is annoying. Why am I the one in charge of her daily shopping.

While I was walking down a shop, my phone start to ring.

The only person who have my number on the land of the living of mortals are Poseidon and Hephaestus. I answer immediately.

Because Poseidon being in Atlantis, it only leaves Hephaestus.

"Hephaestus, how are you ?"

"Sorry for the short notice Mr Hades"

That’s not Hephaestus, that’s Friday.

"What’s happening ? Hephaestus is the one who call me normally. Something happened ?" I start to worry.

"Well…"

As I listen to everything she say I worry even more.

"So he’s in Siberia, without anyone to now where he is and you lost contact because of someone named Steve Rogers ?" my voice is laced with anger.

"Yes. I didn’t know what to do so I contacted you. I know boss is a god but I can’t help to worry."

She may be an AI but she behave like Hephaestus is her father. I can see she's really worried.

"I’ll go find him. Don’t worry"

I go back to hell first. We have a lot of passages around the world. I just need to find the Siberian one.

It was complicated to find but I did.

I pass the passage and start searching for him. After atleast 45 min, I found him, on the ground, a shield next to him and on the verge of freezing to death.

In the bunker 

Earing footsteps, Tony tried to open his eyes. He couldn’t. His body was to tired and cold. He felt something weird, and then he didn't have his suit anymore. He then felt warm. A warm that wrapped all around his body.

He wasn’t freezing anymore. He was still very tired and had lost a lot of blood, so it wasn’t a surprising that he passed out after some minutes.

 

 

In Hell

He woke up in a warm place. Far to warm for a hospital.

Turn out he was in hell. His uncle saved his mortal body with his ability’s. He was grateful. He didn't want to use his power in fear of the other gods finding him.

"Can you stay in bed without doing anything stupid if I let you go back to new York ?" he had missed the voice of his uncle (totally not his father figure).

"I will" Hades gave him a raised eyebrow with a pointed look "I swear I will"

"Great. I contacted Poseidon, he'll met us at the tower. By the way, heard you’re planing to sold it ?"

"Yeah"

"Why ? it’s a good place. You can find it some use."

"Like what ?"

"I don’t know but I think you shouldn’t really sold it." He got up from his sit next to the bed "Anyway can you walk ?"

"yeah, it’s still hurt a little but I’ll be fine"

"Following your mortal body philosophy you’re probably gonna have a hard time for a while. Let’s get going, I’ll get us to the tower in no time. » A warm smile spreaded on Hades face, happy that his nephew didn't have to reveal himself to the gods. A part of him was still angry and wanted to drag Rogers to hell but for now he had a so-hum nephew to take care of.

Hephaestus got up from the bed and followed his uncle.

"So we’re going to take the teleportation device that I put somewhere near the tower alright ?"

"Ok, but where near ?" He never knew his uncle put a teleportation device somewhere.

He smiled knowingly "In queens "

"wait what- ?!" He didn’t have time to finish talking that they were already there on a roof. It was already night outside.

In Queens

Peter, or Spiderman, was patrolling tonight. He had heard of the disappearance of his mentor. He was worried but couldn’t do anything abou It.

After some time, something unexpected happened when he was swinging. A spark of fire on the roof of a building. He want there immediately.

What he found surprised him.

A man in black, from his leather jacket, t-shirt, jeans and boots and with metal embroidery, was standing next to Mr.Stark who had bandage all over his torso and was clinching his side.

"why here?" He heard Tony say.

"I'll explain later. For now…"

"what are you- ?"

"Come out little spider! I have stark over here! I know you’re listening!"

"Why you yelling like-"

"I'm here! Let him go!" Peter couldn’t stop himself he had to do something.

"There we go" he smirked.

"The heck you’re doing uncle ?!"

Wait…UNCLE ?! Peter was dumbfounded and confused.

Chapter 4: Revealed sooner than later

Summary:

Announcement for the first time of his identity is near. Hephaestus is a in need of coffee

"What ?"

"huh… come to the tower tomorrow i’ll explain everything there. Just tell your aunt and school it’s for the internship. If the school need papers I’ll provide them and make it official."

"Al-alright…tomorrow at the tower…sure"

"We’ll get going then, uncle ?"

"Yeah yeah, Poseidon is there already"

"Ciao kid and don’t forget to come to the tower"

"Lets go little gremlin" Hades took hold of Tony like a bride.

"Hey- !" Peter heard Tony complain.

Hades took them to the tower, joining Poseidon to talk about the situation. Leaving a confused and worried Peter Parker. He stand there for 10 min trying to figure out what to do. He decided to go back to patrol and then home and worry about everything the next day.

At the tower

Poseidon was entering the building by the main entrance, and was stopped by a security night guard.

"Who are you and what are you doing here ?"

Looking at the guard blankly Poseidon said "I suggest you don’t put your hands on me and let me through »

"I asked what are you doing here answer me"

"Mr Morwell I should let you know that I also monitor the building at night and let the good sir in. He is someone Boss have in good regard. Let him through" Friday’s voice resonated on one of the speaker.

"But-"

"When my AI say something it’s mean I said something" he heard Tony behind Poseidon "She said let him through it means I said to let him through understood ?"

"Mr Stark your back !"

"Understood or should I repeat myself and I don’t like to repeat myself"

"Yes understood" he said scared.

"good back to your duty then"

The guard left scared and shocked. Meanwhile Poseidon went to check on his nephew’s injuries.

"How are you ? Are you feeling okay ? I wasn’t on land when it happened I’m sorry."

"it’s fine. Lets go up to the penthouse"

Arriving in the penthouse, Hades and Poseidon put Hephaestus on the couch.

"So wanna tell us what happened" asked Poseidon.

"I wanna know as well" Hades followed.

"well… I went to Siberia to talk and help Rogers with someone named Zemo. The man decided to mess with the team and make us lose trust of one another. He showed me a video of an assassination." He exhaled hesitantly while the two other god listened closely letting take his time "turn out Barnes killed Howard and Maria…he was mind controlled so I won’t take my anger out on him. But the thing that started the fight this time with Rogers was that he knew…he knew for so long and didn’t say anything". he was getting angry just thinking about it "…so I punched him…during the fight he took my helmet and I lost communication with Friday. We continued to fight and he ended up punching the shield through my chest... repetitively…that’s how uncle hades found me…"

A silence fell for some minutes, being broken by Poseidon.

"… I never thought I would one day want go drown someone myself, just drag him in the dipest part of the ocean" he says getting up from the couch.

"Good because i’m dragging him to hell before he died and his soul will suffer for eternity" Hades followed suit.

"Wait no! the world still need his heroes!!" Tony started to get up but was sat down by hades.

"you’re not going anywhere, you’re still injured"

"but…"

"Hades is right. We won’t do anything"

"but after his death, be it from a villain or an accident we are taking him in my personal hell punishment, deal ?"

"deal"

"And try to stand up for yourself a little more. You're a powerful one, even without your powers or the suits." Say Poseidon.

Hades smiled softly under the stare of a knowing Poseidon I wonder if he’s ever going to admit out loud he sees him as his son, he is so helpless was his only thought at the moment.

"You’re staying at the tower tonight. Uncle Hades took me to queens and now I need to explain to a spider who am I"

"hahaha..."

"really hades ?"

"What? the kid is like his son, he’s going to adopt him at some point. But yeah we’re staying don’t worry."

For the first time, Hades and Poseidon stayed overnight at the tower. During the night, Hades through about the feeling of godly essence he saw comming from the spider.

The next day

Peter stared at the tower and wondered how he was going to get in. Mr Stark never told him.

Entering the lobby, he stared at everything with bright eyes. He went to pass the security gate but was stopped.

"Why are you here kid ?"

"I-I…" how was he going to get in. His train of through got interrupted by someone walking toward them.

"I hope what Tony said last night should still be in your mind, right ?" The stranger said behind the security. The guard turned around startled. why is he scared?

"S-sir"

"hello kid"

"hello ?"

"he can get in, Tony told me to come get him"

Who is that ? Was the only thought going inside both the teen and the security.

"So…"

"Yes..yes of course…go on kid"

Nodding his head, Peter followed the man without questions. And they got into an elevator.

"Friday, penthouse please"

"With pleasure old merman"

"did he tell you to call me that ? I prefer the other one…" he smiled.

"Alright Atlant uncle"

Atlant ? Peter is really getting more and more confused with what happened last night. If not for his confusion, he would be marveling about the place and the AI.

"You may wonder who am I" he looked at Peter smiling softly to not scare him off "don’t worry Tony is fine, and we’ll explain everything once we’re up"

"Alright…"

Arriving at the penthouse, the elevator door opened revealing Tony running with a coffee cup and the man from the night before chasing after him.

"Get back here Hephaestus !! I said no coffee, you’re still healing !!" he tried to catch him but failed.

"I leave with coffee uncle ! It’s my life line while living with mortals !" Tony said evading Hades.

"Boys !" The sound of the stranger next to him made them stop.

They stop and turned toward the teen and the stranger. Looking at them Peter felt even more confused. What’s happening ?

 

Chapter 5: The suspicion after the reveal

Seeing the teenager Tony brightened "Underoos! you made it! Didn’t get any problem to get here ?"

"No..it-it was fine. The school asked for the paper work and-…I'm sorry what’s happening ?"

"right, I'll give them to you later. explaining first. It's really annoying, lets go sit. Did you have breakfast ?"

"Yeah…"

They sat on the couches, hades and Poseidon at each side of Tony an Peter in front of them.

"So how do I start...?"

"by the beginning of everything dear" hades said smirking.

"right…"

"No need to be so nervous, take your time " Poseidon encouragement did the trick.

"So....I’m not human"

"…WHAT ?!"

 

Look that’s where we started.

Anyway.

 

Peter was so shocked he didn’t know what to say or think.

"Dear, you broke him" Hades stated playfully.

"I didn’t know what to say!" Hephaestus was quick to defend himself.

"Just keep talking and he’ll process everything one by one" Poseidon always have a plan, it’s sometimes terrifying.

"ok…I’m a god…and it’s not the ego everyone say I have that is talking, I’m truly one. A greek god…I left Olympus because of all the fights that I had to stop. They weren’t even fight worth my time !"

Peter was trying to process everything, but it was complicated.

"Those men are Hades-" he gestures to the man in question who waved at him "-you met him yesterday when he was taking me back to the tower. He is my uncle. And this one-" he gestures to the other "-is Poseidon, my other uncle. You may know things about greek mythology, they are important deity after all. Hades, king of Kingdom of the dead and Poseidon god of the sea and oceans"

Peter was stunned. He wasn’t expecting this much things to process. He sat silently, thinking very hard about everything he just heard.

The three individual looked at the teenager waiting for his reaction. Hades more thought fully than the others.

The kid passed out with the excess of information. It wasn't surprising for any of them. They put a blanket on him and started talking about anything waiting for him to wake up, hades still assessing his godly essence.

"Did one of your siblings have another kid ?" Hades finally asked.

"…" Tony looked confused about the question"we were talking about uncle Poseidon either being made of water or not...where did that come from uncle Hades ?"

"The kid…"

"I can see it now that you mention it. And Hephaestus-" he turned toward him "-for the last time I'm not made entirely of water"

"…."Tony looked perplexed. His siblings had kids but Zeus didn't let them see them. Or more, tried to stop them from going and mixe themselves with humans, so he doesn’t really understand the situation. "what do you mean ?"

"In your true form you would be able to sense it, he is a demigod. One of your sibling did it again. I still can’t tell which one… like he never got in contact with monster or greek artefacts or beings" Hades say bored.

"Really ?"

"I can’t tell either" Poseidon said frowning.

"well, let's just wait and see when he wakes up"

Peter’s POV

When I woke up, I felt slightly better. In front of me the was Mr Poseidon, Mr Hades and Mr Stark talking with each other.

"-see when he wakes up"

"Oh look he’s awake" I heard Mr Stark say.

"feeling better kid ?" Mr Hades asked. That’s when I remembered what happened before I passed out.

"is-is it true ?"

"Huh ?" Tony looked confused at what I asked.

"Is it true you’re a God ? like Thor and Loki ?"

"Oooh" a sign of recognization appeared on his face, "yes it is. Hephaestus, a Greek god. pleased to meet you with my real name"

I was surprised by the soft look on the faces of the other men faces.

"…I have so many questions…is it true that you had a kid with Aphrodite ? and are they other ancient gods that exist other than Asgardian and Greek ? What are your powers ? Do you have another form because you don’t look like what the books says ? Have you-" I started mumbling with excitement.

« Wow calm down Spidey, may we know your name at least ? » Asked mr Hades.

"O-oh right, sorry Mr Hades sir"

Mr Poseidon tried to hide his laugh with his hand but failed miserably by getting a playful punch from Mr Hades.

 "My names Peter Parker, and as you know i’m spiderman , pleased to meet you, and you too as well Mr Poseidon sir"

Mr Hades and Mr Stark or should I call him Hephaestus ? didn’t even try to hide there laughter.

Chapter 6: Parental heritage

3rd person

After they stopped laughing, Hades and Poseidon stepped toward Peter.

"Say kid, did you know you have godly blood mixed with humans one ?" Hades asked nonchalantly.

"what ?..."

"so you aren’t aware that you’re the son of Apollo." Poseidon wasn’t asking but Peter found himself shaking his head anyway.

"How do you know that I’m a demigod ? I’m sure I’m just a normal boy who got bitten by a radioactive spider nothing else."

"nah…you’re a demigod. Bitten by a radioactive spider or not, your father is Apollo and at some point you’ll have to accept it. And we’re gods, it would be dumb of us to ask you that if it wasn’t true" Hades say playfully.

"What ? does that mean I have super powers like you ? Why have I never meet them ? And how-"

"Calm down kid" came Tony soft voice, "we’ll explain everything. Once more."

"I’ll start this one Hephaestus" Poseidon used his power and started a sort of animation, shaping it as he tell Peter the story "As you know, us god, don’t really go everywhere to yell that we are some superior being. We prefer to stay in the shadows of people thinking we’re just history and myth. At least some of us. Asgardian are an exception." Peter was amazed by how the water moved at Poseidon’s will. "After one to many wars about powers for the children with our godly blood, Zeus, our older brother, decided to forbid us from having children. Being considered king of Olympus, nobody want against him." The water dissipated in Poseidon's body after the presentation. Fire appeared from Hades to finish the story.

"The thing is that nobody can keep it in his pants. Coming to walk among humans wasn't a problem. But mixing with them and falling in love resulted in them- we having kids. Even Zeus that selfish bastard" Hades added at that.

"So, he told you not to do something he did ? isn’t that selfish ?"

"hahahaha, I like this kid more and more, Apollo’s child or not. Dear you can adopt him, I approve" Hades perked up.

Peter didn’t know how he was so surprised by the offer, more than the fact that he was a demigod and in the same room as three god as well.

In the lab

I can’t believe i’m in tony stark workshop.

This was the only thought with some internal scream and acting as fanboy over it. Tony and him were working on the spider suit displayed on the table of the workshop. But Peter was curious about his biological father.

"How…" peter started "how is my dad like? his character and all…"

Looking at Peter, Tony sat more comfortably "your father, Apollo, is known as the god of archery, music and dance, truth and prophecy, healing and diseases, the Sun and light, poetry, and more. »

"that explain why I cant lie and can sense when someone lie to me"

With a chuckle Tony continued "also explain how you run on sunshine. You're always positive, that's a good thing." Tony smiled softly "Anyway he is my older brother, being the son of Zeus, and the twin brother of Artemis, goddess of the hunt. We may have the same father but not the same mother. Mine is hera, queen of gods and his is Leto, a titan"

"so Zeus cheated on hera ?"

"haha, yeah, a lot of times. He isn’t my biological father. Our family history is a little complicated so…"

"I see. Do I have other siblings then ?"

"Pretty sure you do, but to meet them will be difficult, you’ll have to either go to The Camp or I don't know where you'll find them"

"The Camp ?"

"Yeah, The Camp Half-blood. Let’s go talk to Hades and Poseidon, they’ll explain it to you. They know more than me."

They both got up to find the two other gods. Tony still answered peter’s questions even will walking around.

"You said Zeus wasn’t your biological father, why ?"

"My mother had enough of Zeus cheating on her. So she had me. I don’t have a father by blood. Just by name. Then again, I rarely call him father."

"Ooh"

"FRIDAY, take us to the common room please" said Tony getting in the elevator.

"Alright boss"

 

 

They enter the common to find Poseidon meditating in a Buble made of water. He was in the lotus position and he was breathing without any difficult inside all this water. Hades was nowhere in sight.

"Can you not wet my carpet please ?" Tony sassed

Hearing them Poseidon opened his eyes recalling all the water in his body without wetting anything. His body appeared like he wasn’t even underwater. "Nothing was going to be drenched in water don’t worry"

"where is Mr Hades ?"

"He went back to hell to get the things he took there by rescuing Hephaestus. You know peter, you don't need to call us mister. Either grand father or by our name is fine"

"The kid is to respectful, he won't do it"

"That sad. Anyway, I got your stuffsi. It was better to get them than leave them to melt with the souls" said hades appearing from nowhere causing Peter to jump in surprise causing the other to laugh at him. "by the way the Persephone says hello."

"tell her I said i too"

This conversation got peter thinking.

"Mr Stark ?"

"yes pete ?"

"Did you tell everyone else that you were alive ? Because i’m pretty sure everyone is still worried. And they had send vision to your last location known by Friday"

"…"

"that mean he didn’t" teased Poseidon making Hades laugh.

"FRIDAY, call Pepper, Happy and Rhodey to the penthouse. And tell Vis to come back please"

After some silence, FRIDAY answered "the are on their way, and Vision got the message"

Looking at his uncles Tony said "Well I’m screwed for not telling them"

"Totally." Hades smirked "Where do you want me to put your things by the way ?"

"On the corner"

As Hades put them in a corner, they went to sit down and wait for the others.

Some time later the elevator opened to reveal an unhappy Happy (little pun for you), Pepper and Rhodey.

"…hi ?" was the only thing that came out of Tony’s mouth.

Chapter 7: Revelation part2

Pepper, Happy and Rhodey are sitting on the couches waiting for vision. Tony was sitting in front of them with two other man. Peter was in the kitchen making popcorn. He went back and sat on the ceiling next to Hades.

 

As Vision get in the room 1 hour later, he is meet with a Tony stark arguing with two strange man, a a Peter Parker eating popcorn while watching them from the ceiling and a Pepper Potts, Happy Hogan and James Rhodes looking at them tired and confused.

"What is happening ? how is Mr stark here ?" he asked.

This seemed to stopped everyone. They turned to look at him.

"finally you’re back Vision. Take a sit Tony has something to say." Was the only response he got from a tired pepper.

 

"I thought he was in Siberia ?" he said sitting down next to Rhodey.

"He was. I just took him back." said one of the stranger.

"and who may you be mister ?"

"Right right, let me explain. First meet Poseidon and Hades" Tony gestured to the two man on each of his side.

"No last name ?" asked Rhodey suspicious of them.

"My explanation while answer that. To make it simple…i’m not human... I’m a god…. A Greek one but that just for clarification… and my real name is Hephaestus…"

The silence in the room was palpable. Nobody talked until Rhodey broke the silence.

"I think i’ll need a drink to process what you just said"

"I need proof of that" Pepper being next.

"I'm not payed enough for this shit" Happy being really annoyed by the new was next to Pepper

"Hey don’t curse in front of the child" Tony said

"Hey i’m in highschool !"

"i don’t really understand" Vision asked confused

"oh the second child is confused, explain Hephaestus" hades said

Telling them what he said to Peter, Hephaestus became nervous, "you know i’m still the same, just with a different backstory...and name...But still the same!"

The others stayed silent.

After processing

"Why didn’t you beat Rogers ass up ? Because with the explanation you just gave, you’re strong enough to do so" Pepper was first to break the silence this time.

"I…I don’t want to go back" Tony started looking anywhere but at them.

"Back? Back where ?" Rhodey asked with a hint of worry. He didn’t want to lose his best friend. God or not, they still knew each other since MIT.

Poseidon was the one to answer the question. "Hephaestus isn’t in his true form right now. He is also suppressing his powers. If he didn’t do that, the other gods from Olympus would come looking for him. He was after all the one forging there weapons and armory when needed."

"On top of that he cares to much for them, he always stopped the pointless fights instead of Zeus. Did you know they are desperately searching for him. To the point where they don’t fight pointlessly every five second. They even came to hell and annoyed me to help them, and they never came to hell, even when Perseus did." Hades ranted angrily.

"that’s indeed surprising, they also came to see me in Atlantis"

"I didn’t know about that. Did they destroy something ?" Asked Tony worried.

 

Both realm where alluring if you looked close enough. For hell it was past the souls and torture. Everything was made of different shades of red. The architecture was essentially rock infrastructure. Hades manor towered above everything, but Atlantis was another story. You needed to know where the city was and breath underwater long enough to admire her beauty. Unlike hell, the shades where made of blue. The buildings looked ancient with a lot of seaweed and shell and fish swimming everywhere, free without being hunted by fish men. And Hephaestus loved looking at them. It was calming and relaxing in the ocean, like the warm the fire of hell brought to his body.

 

"nothing got damaged don’t worry", "they didn’t touch anything" both answered at the same time.

"Now the case of the kid." Tony pointed to peter "Peter is the son of Apollo. My sunny brother."

"sunny ?" Vision asked titling his head cutely.

"He always smile, he is kind and has a lot of energy. Ans also because he is a sun god"

 

"… if I understand everything you just said, you’re a greek god, you left your godly family for a better life, Howard adopted you, you became tony stark, you made a name in the whole word, your family still doesn’t know where and who you are because you don’t use your true form and powers ?" Happy said, talking for the first time after the explanation. All tony did was nod.

"oh and let’s not forget your two uncle who are the only one who know everything and helped you hide are hades the king of hell and Poseidon the god of sea and oceans....and they're in front of us...and there is also the fact that the spiderman, is a kid, a demigod named Peter, the son of Apollo ?" Rhodey added, and Tony nodded again.

"That’s surprising, but i’m happy nothing happened to you in Siberia sir" Vision said.

"i told you to call me Tony Vis"

"How did you come back from Siberia by the way, and what happened there ? You were covered in bandages when I saw you yesterday" Peter asked after finishing his popcorn "i didn’t get to ask earlier" the other not knowing about that looked at him waiting for the answer.

Seing Tony hesitating, Hades took it upon him to explain.

"Rogers left him there for lady death." everyone was stunned aside from Poseidon and tony "turn out someone set a trap for Tony, Rogers and Barnes. They made him see the death of Howard stark and his wife. The winter soldier killed them. After that they fought and Captain obvious decided ‘why not slam my vibranium shield on a human, right where his heart is supposed to be. He is in a super suit only made of metal, nothing will happen if I use all my inhumane strength on him and disconnect him from his AI, the only thing that he could use to contact someone’"hades continued doing gesture with his hand "he may have not know you were a god,but doing that to someone who just saw something so traumatizing is plain cruel. He should know the arc reactor is the only thing keeping your human body alive. Even I wouldn’t do that to the scum of souls Hell have to torture."

"I still want to drown him for what he did to you and for lying for years" Poseidon add with a dark look on his face.

The look send chill to the mortals in the room but it was not enough to subdue the anger they felt against the Captain.

 

Meanwhile in wakanda the same man felt a sense of fear not knowing where it came from. He pushed the feeling away.

Back to the tower

"How is your mortal body still standing if he slammed the shield on your chest, where the arc reactor is ?"

"Uncle hades came while the body was freezing to death" he answered Vision.

"I took him back to Hell and nursed him with my powers."

"Isn’t the fire in hell dangerous" asked Rhodey worrying even more.

"Hell’s fire isn't always used for torture you know" is the only answer he got from the king of hell.

 

"We need to call a press conference. The avengers are no more. And Ross is getting on my nerves." Tony planned after some comfortable silence.

"When ?"

"leave me two days. I’ll have Ross arrested and we’ll start planning a new Accord Initiative. I’ll also try to create the new Avengers, a new team. Not like the one that was there."

« We’re right behind you chipmunk » agreed hades and Poseidon.

« Us too » said Peter talking for the other who had a determined look on there face. From there started his new adventure to get some peace in his life, still avoiding his family.
