Chapter Text

The soft, warm glow of ring lights illuminated Jeonghan's flawless features. He sat amidst a backdrop of pastel pinks and creamy whites, a meticulously arranged collection of skincare and makeup products forming a visually pleasing tableau behind him. Delicate floral arrangements and shimmering candles added to the ethereal ambiance. His voice, smooth and melodic, filled the air.

"And... we're live! Hello, lovelies!" He flashed a dazzling smile, his eyes sparkling with charm. "Today, we're diving into this brand new serum that everyone's been raving about. Now, I've been testing it for a few weeks, and I have some thoughts..."

He held up a sleek, frosted glass bottle, its label reflecting the soft light. "This is the 'Dewy Dream' serum, promising to give you that coveted glass skin look. The texture is absolutely divine, a light, almost gel-like consistency that melts into the skin. Now, if you have normal to dry skin, you should absolutely give this a try. The hydration is incredible, and it leaves a beautiful, luminous finish. But," he paused, his expression turning slightly thoughtful, "if you have oily or combination skin, like some of you have mentioned in the comments, this might be a bit too rich. It could lead to some unwanted shine, and possibly even a few breakouts. So, a big 'no' for my oily skin darlings."

He glanced at the live chat scrolling rapidly on his monitor. "Oh, you guys are so fast! Let's see... 'Jeonghan, can you do a review of the new Rhode lip balm?'" He chuckled. "Of course, my loves! I actually have it right here." He reached for a small, pearlescent tube. "I'll do a full review in my next video, but spoiler alert: it's absolutely gorgeous. The texture is so buttery, and the shine is just chef's kiss."

"And, 'What lipstick are you wearing right now?'" He tilted his head, showing off his perfectly painted lips. "This is 'Rose Petal' by First kiss. It's a beautiful, muted rose shade that's perfect for everyday wear. I'll link it in the description box after the live!"

He continued to answer questions, seamlessly transitioning between product reviews and personal anecdotes. His voice remained calm and engaging, his every word carefully chosen to maintain his polished image. He adjusted a stray strand of his perfectly styled hair, his movements graceful and effortless. The chat was a flurry of hearts, compliments, and product requests. It was clear: Jeonghan had his audience completely captivated.

"...and remember, a little goes a long way with this highlighter. You want that subtle glow, not a disco ball effect!" Jeonghan said, demonstrating a delicate sweep of shimmer across his cheekbone. He paused, noticing a sudden influx of repeated comments in the chat.

"Hmm, what's everyone saying?" He squinted slightly at the scrolling text. " 'React to the edit?' 'Jeonghan x Seungcheol?' What edit are you guys talking about? I'm not that chronically online these days, you know." He chuckled, but a flicker of curiosity crossed his eyes.

The chat exploded. "The reel!" "The edit!" "Search Jeonghan x Seungcheol on YouTube!" "It's everywhere!" "You HAVE to see it!"

Jeonghan raised an eyebrow, a playful smirk forming on his lips. "Oh, is it now? Well, you've piqued my interest. What is this mysterious edit that's got everyone so excited?" He glanced at his monitor, trying to keep up with the rapid-fire comments. "Jeonghan x Seungcheol okay, I'll search for it later. Promise. But right now," he gestured to the products on his table, "we have more beauty secrets to uncover!”

"...and just a touch of this blush on the apples of your cheeks," Jeonghan demonstrated, his voice slightly distracted. He couldn't shake the persistent comments about the edit. "Alright, alright, you've worn me down. Let's see what all the fuss is about."

He pulled out his phone, his perfectly manicured fingers tapping on the screen. "Jeonghan x Seungcheol..."

He typed, his eyes widening slightly at the sheer number of results. "Wow, you guys are serious!"

He clicked on the first video, his eyes widening further. "Thirteen million views? That's... a lot more than the number of subscribers I have." He chuckled nervously.

The video started, and Jeonghan's expression shifted from amusement to surprise, then to a distinct fluster. The edit was a rapid-fire montage of clips: Seungcheol, with his muscular build and intense workout routines, juxtaposed with Jeonghan's soft features and delicate makeup tutorials. The caption flashed across the screen: "Unexpected Ships in My Head." The video was set to a trendy, slightly suggestive song.

"Oh... wow," Jeonghan stammered, his cheeks flushing a delicate pink. He watched as clips of Seungcheol lifting weights transitioned to clips of him applying lip gloss. "Sniper... wifey?" He read the caption aloud, his voice trailing off.

He watched a clip of Seungcheol doing pull ups, his muscles rippling, then it cut to a clip of jeonghan doing a very soft and delicate hand movement with a makeup brush. "Who is he?" Jeonghan asked the chat, his voice slightly higher than usual. "He definitely got some muscles." He fanned himself with his hand. "Seriously, though, who is he? I've never seen his content before."

The chat exploded with answers: "Seungcheol!" "Fitness influencer!" "He's amazing!" "He's so hot!"

Jeonghan's eyes darted between the video and the chat, his cheeks still flushed. He watched as the edit juxtaposed clips of Seungcheol's intense workouts with his own soft, ethereal aesthetic. "This is interesting," he said, his voice laced with a mix of amusement and something else he couldn't quite define. "He's... very different from me." He paused, watching another clip of Seungcheol. "But yeah, he definitely works out.”

"...and that's it for today's live, my loves!" Jeonghan said, trying to regain his composure.

He'd managed to steer the conversation back to beauty products, but the lingering image of Seungcheol and the "sniper wifey" edit was still very much on his mind. "Remember to check out the links in the description box for all the products we talked about today. And don't forget to subscribe and hit that notification bell for more beauty tips and tricks!"

He gave the camera a final, slightly shaky smile and ended the live stream. As soon as the red "live" indicator disappeared, he let out a long, flustered sigh.

"Wow," he muttered to himself, running a hand through his perfectly styled hair. "That was... unexpected." He glanced at his phone, still displaying the viral edit.

"Seungcheol," he whispered, testing the name on his tongue. "He's... definitely something."

Little did he know, his flustered reaction was already spreading like wildfire. Clips of his blushy face and stammering comments were being shared across social media platforms. "Jeonghan's reaction to the edit!" "He's so flustered!" "Jeonghan x Seungcheol is REAL!"

The hashtags were trending, and his blushy face was becoming a meme.

Within minutes, his phone was buzzing with notifications. His team was already alerting him to the viral clips, and his DMs were flooded with messages from fans. "Oh my god," he groaned, burying his face in his hands. "This is going to be a long day."

The internet had spoken, and Jeonghan's blush was the undeniable proof: the "sniper wifey" was officially flustered.

The raw, unfiltered energy of Seungcheol's live stream filled the room. He stood in his home gym, surrounded by weights and workout equipment, his muscular physique glistening with sweat. The camera was positioned at a slightly lower angle, emphasizing his powerful presence. His voice, deep and resonant, cut through the background music.

"Alright, guys, let's finish strong with this superset," he instructed, demonstrating a set of barbell curls. "Remember to focus on your form, control the weight, and push yourself to your limits."

He paused, noticing a barrage of repeated comments in the chat. "What's with all the 'edit' stuff?" he asked, his brow furrowed. "What edit are you guys talking about?"

The chat exploded. "The Jeonghan x Seungcheol edit!" "You have to see it!" "It's hilarious!" "Jeonghan reacted to it!"

Seungcheol sighed, a hint of annoyance in his voice. "Fine, fine. I'll take a look." He grabbed his phone, his large fingers tapping on the screen. "Jeonghan x Seungcheol…”

He clicked on the first video, his eyes narrowing slightly as he watched the rapid-fire montage. He saw clips of himself working out, juxtaposed with clips of Jeonghan's beauty tutorials.

"Sniper wifey?" he read aloud, his voice flat. "Seriously?"

He continued watching, his expression remaining largely composed.

He saw clips of Jeonghan, his soft features and delicate movements contrasting sharply with his own intense workouts. Then, he came across a clip of Jeonghan's live stream, his cheeks flushed and his voice stammering.

"Oh," Seungcheol said, a hint of surprise in his voice. He watched the clip again, noticing the blush creeping up Jeonghan's neck. "He's... flustered."

He shifted uncomfortably, a rare moment of awkwardness breaking through his composed exterior. "Yeah, that's... a nice edit," he said, his voice slightly strained. He glanced at the chat, which was now flooded with comments about Jeonghan's reaction. "He seems... surprised."

He quickly steered the conversation back to fitness, demonstrating another exercise and offering tips to his viewers. But even as he spoke, he couldn't shake the image of Jeonghan's flushed face.

"Alright, guys, that's it for today's live," he said, ending the stream abruptly. He tossed his phone onto a nearby bench, a thoughtful expression on his face. "Jeonghan," he muttered to himself. "Interesting.”

***

The moment Seungcheol's live stream ended, the internet exploded. Clips of his reaction, particularly the moment he awkwardly said, "Yeah, that's... a nice edit," were being shared and replayed across every social media platform.

"Did you see Seungcheol's ears?!" one user tweeted, attaching a zoomed-in clip of Seungcheol's slightly reddened ears. "He's totally flustered too!"

"He's trying to play it cool, but he's blushing!" another user commented, sharing a side-by-side comparison of Seungcheol's normal skin tone and his flushed ears.

The hashtag #Jeongcheol was trending worldwide, and the shipping frenzy reached new heights. Even famous influencers started chiming in.

"OMG, this is the best tea ever!" exclaimed a popular lifestyle influencer on her Instagram story, sharing a montage of clips from both Jeonghan's and Seungcheol's live streams. "They're so cute together! I'm officially obsessed."

A well-known gaming streamer tweeted, "I'm not usually into this kind of stuff, but #Jeongcheol is my new favorite ship. They're like, complete opposites, but it just works!"

A beauty guru who was known for her honest reviews made a reaction video titled "Jeonghan and Seungcheol: The Internet's Newest Power Couple?" In the video, she said, "I have to admit, I was skeptical at first, but after seeing their reactions, I'm totally on board. The chemistry is undeniable!"

The internet was a chaotic mix of memes, fan art, and endless speculation. Everyone was talking about Jeonghan and Seungcheol, analyzing every interaction, and dissecting every word.

"They're destined to be together!" one user declared.

"This is the best thing that's ever happened to the internet!" another exclaimed.

Even news outlets picked up the story, running headlines like "Viral Edit Sparks Unexpected Romance Between Influencers" and "Is #Jeongcheol the Internet's Newest Power Couple?"

Seungcheol, scrolling through his phone, was overwhelmed by the sheer volume of notifications. "This is insane," he muttered, shaking his head.

Jeonghan, meanwhile, was trying to hide under a pile of plushies, his face still flushed. "I can't believe this is happening," he groaned. "My ears are still burning!"

The internet had spoken, and #Jeongcheol was here to stay.

Weeks turned into months, and the #Jeongcheol phenomenon showed no signs of slowing down. Jeonghan and Seungcheol, initially hoping the hype would fade, found themselves constantly reminded of their "accidental ship."

Every time Jeonghan went live, the chat would be flooded with questions about Seungcheol. "Jeonghan, have you talked to Seungcheol yet?" "When are you guys collaborating?" "React to Seungcheol's latest workout!" Even when he was reviewing a new eyeshadow palette, a stray comment would inevitably mention Seungcheol's name.

Seungcheol faced a similar barrage. Every gaming stream, every workout vlog, every social media post was met with a flood of #Jeongcheol comments. "Seungcheol, what do you think of Jeonghan's new video?" "When are you going on a date?" "React to Jeonghan's blushy face!"

And speaking of Jeonghan's blushy face, it had become a full-blown internet sensation. The meme and gif of his flustered reaction were used in every possible context. Every time Seungcheol posted a picture, his comment section would be filled with the gif, accompanied by comments like "He's thinking about you!" or "He's blushing for you!"

Seungcheol would scroll through the comments, a mix of annoyance and amusement on his face. He even started to recognize the gif, and it would make him uncomfortable, but he wouldn't admit it. "Seriously?" he'd mutter to himself, shaking his head.

Jeonghan, meanwhile, had learned to embrace the meme, albeit with a touch of playful exasperation. He'd even started using it in his own videos, adding it as a reaction image to his own jokes. "You guys are impossible," he'd say, laughing. "But I have to admit, it's pretty funny."

The constant reminders had become a part of their daily lives. They couldn't escape the #Jeongcheol hype, and it was starting to feel like it would never end. The fans were relentless, and the internet was determined to see their "accidental ship" become a reality.

When Jeonghan casually mentioned in a live stream that he was trying to build a workout routine and wanted to "get some abs," the internet exploded. "He already has his six-pack!" one user tweeted, attaching a picture of Seungcheol's ripped abs. "He just doesn't realize it yet!"

"He's manifesting Seungcheol!" another user commented. "He wants Seungcheol's abs!"

"He's trying to impress Seungcheol!" a third user declared.

Jeonghan, seeing the comments, rolled his eyes playfully. "You guys are reading way too much into this," he said, laughing. "I just want to be healthy!" But even he couldn't deny the amusement he felt at the fan's wild theories.

Meanwhile, in one of Seungcheol's workout vlogs, a bottle of moisturizer was briefly visible in the background. Eagle-eyed fans immediately recognized the product: it was a moisturizer that Jeonghan had reviewed in a previous video.

"OMG! Seungcheol is using Jeonghan's moisturizer!" one user tweeted, attaching a side-by-side comparison of the two videos.

"What if Jeonghan gifted it to him?" another user speculated. "They're secretly exchanging skincare tips!"

"They're definitely living together!" a third user joked.

Seungcheol, oblivious to the online frenzy, continued his workout. But when he checked his phone later, he was bombarded with messages about the moisturizer. He stared at the bottle, a confused expression on his face. "I just bought it because it was on sale," he muttered to himself. "Seriously?"

The over-analysis extended to everything they did. If Jeonghan mentioned a favorite food, fans would speculate that it was Seungcheol's favorite too. If Seungcheol wore a certain color, fans would claim it was Jeonghan's favorite.

The internet had become a giant conspiracy theory, and Jeonghan and Seungcheol were the unwitting subjects. Every interaction, every coincidence, and every stray comment was fuel for the #Jeongcheol fire.

The sleek, minimalist boardroom buzzed with an air of calculated enthusiasm.

Lee Minho, Seungcheol's sharp-eyed manager, leaned forward, a tablet displaying a graph of trending hashtags. Across the polished table, Jisung, Jeonghan's equally astute manager, nodded in agreement.

"The petition is through the roof," Lee Know stated, his voice clipped and efficient. "The numbers are insane. This is a goldmine."

Jisung tapped a manicured finger on his own tablet, displaying a breakdown of projected views and potential sponsorship deals. "Exactly. This is more than just a collaboration; it's a cultural event. We can capitalize on this in a major way."

"We need to maximize the impact," Minho continued, his gaze unwavering. "No teasers, no pre-roll. Just a sudden drop on Valentine's Day. Everyone will be talking about it."

"I like the surprise element," Jisung agreed, a sly smile playing on his lips. "It'll create a frenzy. They'll be scrambling to react, analyze, and share. And we'll have all the data we need to leverage for future campaigns."

"We'll handle all the planning," Minho said. "Location, activities, even the outfits. They just need to show up and play along. The goal is to make it look as authentic as possible."

"Perfect," Jisung replied, his eyes gleaming. "We'll coordinate the schedules and make sure they're both available. We'll present it as a 'fan service' collaboration. They won't suspect a thing."

"And the no-contact rule?" Minho asked.

"Absolutely," Jisung confirmed. "No communication until the date. We want their reactions to be genuine, their interactions to be raw. It'll make for better content."

"Excellent," Minho said, a satisfied smirk spreading across his face. "This is going to be huge."

They exchanged a knowing glance, their expressions reflecting the cold calculation behind their seemingly innocent plan. For them, it was all about the numbers, the views, and the brand. Valentine's Day was just another opportunity to generate buzz, and Jeonghan and Seungcheol were the perfect pawns in their game.

***

The internet was buzzing with the usual Valentine's Day content: couples posting lovey-dovey photos, influencers promoting romantic products, and singletons sharing memes about their solo celebrations. No one expected anything out of the ordinary from Jeonghan or Seungcheol.

Then, it happened.

Simultaneously, Jeonghan and Seungcheol posted identical photos on their respective Instagram accounts.

The photo showed them side by side, looking slightly awkward but undeniably together. Jeonghan, dressed in a soft, pastel-colored outfit, stood next to Seungcheol, who wore a more casual, but still stylish, ensemble. The backdrop was a chic, dimly lit Cafe, hinting at a romantic setting.

The caption was simple: "Happy Valentine's Day. #Jeongcheol"

The internet imploded.

Notifications flooded their phones, social media platforms crashed under the weight of the sudden traffic, and the #Jeongcheol hashtag exploded into a supernova of activity.

"OMG! They're together!"

"I knew it!"

"This is the best Valentine's Day ever!"

The comments were a chaotic mix of excitement, disbelief, and speculation.

Influencers and celebrities immediately started reacting.

"This is the collab of the century!"

"I'm living for this!"

"My ship has finally sailed!"

The shock was palpable. No one had seen it coming. The sudden, unannounced photo drop had created a seismic wave of excitement.

Both Jeonghan and Seungcheol were bombarded with calls and messages from their teams, trying to manage the chaos.

"What just happened?" Jeonghan asked, staring at his phone in disbelief.

"This is insane," Seungcheol muttered, scrolling through the endless stream of notifications.

Their managers, Lee Know and Jisung, watched the social media frenzy unfold, their faces lit with satisfaction. Their plan had worked perfectly. The internet was theirs.

The crisp winter air nipped at their cheeks as Jeonghan and Seungcheol stood outside a cozy cafe, their team filming from a respectful distance. Both were dressed casually: Jeonghan in a soft, oversized sweater and fitted pants, Seungcheol in a comfortable hoodie and jeans.

Jeonghan, adjusting his beanie, took a step forward, his stylish sneakers catching on an uneven cobblestone. He stumbled, his arms flailing slightly.

"Whoa!" Seungcheol reacted instantly, reaching out and grabbing Jeonghan's arm, steadying him. "Careful there."

"Thanks," Jeonghan laughed, a slight blush rising on his cheeks. "These cobblestones are treacherous."

"Tell me about it," Seungcheol replied, releasing Jeonghan's arm, a small, awkward smile playing on his lips.

"I'm Jeonghan," Jeonghan said, extending his hand. His easy smile radiated warmth.

"Seungcheol," Seungcheol replied, shaking Jeonghan's hand firmly. His touch was surprisingly gentle, despite his muscular build.

They walked into the cafe, the warm aroma of coffee and pastries filling the air. Their team followed, capturing their interactions on camera.

"So," Jeonghan began, settling into a booth, "I guess this is our 'date'?"

"Yeah," Seungcheol replied, his gaze shifting slightly, a hint of awkwardness in his voice. "A vlog date, I guess."

"Right," Jeonghan chuckled, his smile widening. "A vlog date. It's different."

They ordered hot drinks and pastries, the conversation flowing easily despite Seungcheol's initial awkwardness. Jeonghan's easy smiles and playful banter helped to ease the tension, drawing Seungcheol out of his shell.

"So, you're really into fitness," Jeonghan said, taking a sip of his latte. "I've seen some of your videos. They're intense."

Seungcheol's eyes lit up. "Yeah, I'm passionate about it. It's a way to challenge myself, to push my limits."

"I can respect that," Jeonghan replied, his smile genuine. "I'm more into well, beauty and lifestyle."

"I've seen your videos too,"

Seungcheol said, his voice softer than usual. "They're... impressive. You make it look so effortless."

"It's not always effortless," Jeonghan laughed. "But I enjoy it. It's a way to express myself."

They talked about their passions, their hobbies, their favorite foods, and their dreams. Seungcheol's awkward energy slowly melted away, replaced by a genuine warmth. Jeonghan's easy smiles and playful teasing drew out a softer side of Seungcheol, a side that was rarely seen on his channel.

"You know," Jeonghan said, leaning forward, "I think we're actually having a good time."

Seungcheol's eyes met Jeonghan's, a rare, genuine smile spreading across his face. "Yeah," he admitted. "I think we are."

They continued talking, their conversation flowing naturally. The team filmed their interactions, capturing the genuine moments of connection between them.

As they left the cafe, the sun was setting, casting a warm glow on their faces.

"This was surprisingly fun," Seungcheol said, his voice softer than usual.

"I agree," Jeonghan replied, his smile radiant. "Maybe we should do this again sometime."

Seungcheol's eyes widened slightly, a flicker of surprise and something else in his gaze. "Yeah," he said, his voice barely a whisper. "Maybe we should."

The team captured their final moments, the awkward but genuine connection between them evident in their expressions. The vlog would be released later, but the memory of their unexpected "date" would linger long after the cameras stopped rolling.

The air crackled with a comfortable warmth as the "date" wrapped up. The cafe lights twinkled, casting long shadows as Jeonghan and Seungcheol stepped out into the cool evening.

The camera crew had packed up, leaving them with a rare moment of privacy.

"So," Seungcheol said, shifting slightly, his hands tucked into his hoodie pockets, "how are you getting home?"

"Oh, I was just going to call a ride," Jeonghan replied, pulling out his phone.

"It's getting late," Seungcheol said, a hint of concern in his voice. "I can drop you off, if you want."

Jeonghan paused, a surprised but pleased expression on his face. "Really? That'd be great. Thank you."

"No problem," Seungcheol said, a small, genuine smile gracing his lips.

They walked to Seungcheol's car, a comfortable silence settling between them. The drive began, the soft hum of the engine filling the quiet space.

"This was... surprisingly fun," Seungcheol said, breaking the silence. "I wasn't sure what to expect."

"Me neither," Jeonghan replied, gazing out the window. "But I think we actually had a good time."

They chuckled, the shared experience creating a sense of camaraderie.

"Those fan theories are wild," Seungcheol said, shaking his head. "Six-pack abs? Seriously?"

Jeonghan laughed, his eyes sparkling. "I know, right? They're so creative."

"And the moisturizer?" Seungcheol continued, a hint of amusement in his voice. "I just bought it because it was on sale!"

Jeonghan's laughter filled the car. "I can't believe they think we're secretly exchanging skincare tips."

Seungcheol glanced at Jeonghan, a playful smirk forming on his lips. "Speaking of which, that blushing gif of yours..."

Jeonghan's cheeks flushed, but he met Seungcheol's gaze with a confident smile. "I mean, you're hot. It's a natural reaction."

Seungcheol's ears turned a bright red, his awkwardness returning with a vengeance. He cleared his throat, his gaze fixed on the road ahead. "Oh... um... thanks."

Jeonghan chuckled, enjoying Seungcheol's flustered reaction. "You're cute when you blush."

The car fell silent again, but this time, the silence was charged with a different kind of energy. It was intimate, comfortable, and undeniably charged.

As they reached Jeonghan's apartment building, Seungcheol pulled over, the car coming to a gentle stop.

"Thanks again for the ride," Jeonghan said, his voice softer than usual.

"Anytime," Seungcheol replied, his gaze lingering on Jeonghan.

Jeonghan hesitated, then leaned forward, his hand resting lightly on Seungcheol's arm. "And Seungcheol?"

"Yeah?"

"I meant it," Jeonghan said, his eyes sparkling with sincerity. "You're hot."

Seungcheol's breath hitched, his heart pounding in his chest. He met Jeonghan's gaze, a warmth spreading through him.

"Thanks," he whispered, his voice husky.

Jeonghan, feeling bold, leaned in and quickly pressed a soft kiss to Seungcheol's cheek. “Maybe we should do this again sometime," he said, his voice barely above a whisper. "Off camera."

Seungcheol's breath caught in his throat. "Yeah," he replied, his voice equally soft. "Maybe we should."

Jeonghan lingered for a moment, their eyes locked in a silent conversation.

Then, he pulled back, a playful smirk returning to his face.

"Goodnight, Seungcheol."

"Goodnight, Jeonghan."

Jeonghan stepped out of the car, the cool night air a stark contrast to the warmth he felt inside. He turned back to wave, a final smile gracing his lips.

Seungcheol watched as Jeonghan disappeared into the building, his heart still pounding. He leaned back in his seat, a genuine smile spreading across his face.

The cameras may have been off, but the connection they'd forged was undeniable. The "date" may have been staged, but the feelings were real.
