Chapter Text
Hi author here! I've been thinking about this story idea for a while. It is not connected with my other story, Gun|| Legend of Zelda that I have been working on. This story will mainly focus on Linked Universe from the start.
Kalika will be this story's oc, most of her lore will be said in the story. She has a special cursed blade that is not the master sword. She will also have the powers and likeness of the Hollow Knight character we control in the game. The upgraded abilities, spells and the charms.
Soul/energy: the base of everything. Gets more by striking enemies.
Focus/heal: a way to heal without potions. It uses soul/energy, but it takes a few seconds that leave her vulnerable.
Spells: uses Soul/energy.
Shade soul/dark fireball: a powerful burst of energy that traverses a long distance, leaving a trail of destruction. Goes in the direction her body is facing. Uses a little more Soul/energy than focus. It leaves her back vulnerable but she can use it in quick succession if she has enough Soul/energy to use.
Descending dark/dive: a powerful burst of energy that makes a circle of destruction. Is more effective in a small room with a lot of enemies. It uses a lot more energy than Focus/heal. It breaks the ground under her unless it's really sturdy. It's a useful sneak attack in some situations.
Abyss shriek/scream: a powerful burst of energy that is propelled upward and sounds like a high pitched scream. It's very powerful and useful for enemies taller than her or those that fly above her. Uses just a little less Soul/energy than Descending dark/dive. Her lower body will be vulnerable for a moment.
Abilities: uses no Soul/energy.
Dash: an ability that makes her able to dash forward or in the air every few seconds. If she waits a few moments to charge a shadow around her, she can go through enemies, people or thin surfaces like glass and cheap doors.
Claws: clings to surfaces, allowing her to climb and leap walls. She will however slide down on the walls if she doesn't try to move up it.
Super dash: this is a charged dash. It needs a supported surface to be used, a floor or wall. It takes about ten seconds to be ready leaving her vulnerable during this time. Once ready it cannot be canceled. It makes her fly in one direction head on, it makes her very visible with a glow, it doesn't lose speed or height during it. She can stop it only during the dash or it stops on a support surface she makes contact with.
Wings: allows her to make a jump in mid air. Allowing her to cancel fall damage. Striking an enemy counts as having landed on the ground. The wings look like fairy wings and make her look quite elegant when using them.
Acid tear: a tear shaped artefact that looked strangely like a fruit. Gained the ability to be immune to acid since consuming it. Tasted bitter.
Sword arts: techniques she has learned, but doesn't use often due to having to charge them up. It is more unpredictable as she can keep it charged up and only at the last moment is decided which one is used. Striking enemies with the Sword arts gets more Soul/energy.
Cyclone slash: makes her spin in a circle rapidly. Leaves her upper and lower body vulnerable for a few seconds. Makes her fall slower when used in mid air.
Dash slash: needs to be dashing to use. It makes her reach longer and even covers her upper body in the reach. Leaves her lower body on the back vulnerable for a split second. It's harsher than Cyclone slash but doesn't last as long.
Great slash: a powerful up to down slash that covers the side she is facing leaving only her back side vulnerable. It has a high reach instead of a longer reach like Dash slash.
Charms: little pins that she can equip while sitting down on a chair like surface. Some are more heavy so she can't just equip all of them. Has to think of what situation she can use them. Some she never uses, but keeps them because she used time to all collect them. With the situation not being predictable with the ground, she usually tries to keep her build balanced on all sides. Usually keeping shape of unn, fury of the fallen, soul catcher, longsword, spell twister and sprintmaster as her basic overall cover.
Shape of Unn making her about to crawl away while healing up instead of standing still hoping she won't get hit again. Fury of the fallen making her stronger the more damaged she gets. Soul catcher makes her get more Soul/energy from enemies she strikes. Longswords makes her have a longer reach with her sword, keeping her at a distance with enemies. Spell twister makes her spells use less Soul/energy while making it stronger. Sprintmaster makes her move around more quickly. This is usually while travelling without being sure if the group or her will get ambushed.
While sleeping or having less actions around she still is prepared for combat is more of a defensive build. Fury of the fallen, spell twister, hiveblood, lifeblood heart and thorns of agony. Usually keeping fury of the fallen and spell twister equipped at all time as they are useful in most situations.
Hiveblood makes her able to heal damages on her own without Soul/energy, however it will only heal the most recent damage and stops healing the more old damages. Lifeblood heart adds more health overall, if the additional health is used it will not come back until having rested, is combined with hiveblood and can be healed, can avoid any painful damages if managed correctly. Thorns of agony makes a burst of spikes made of energy shoot out all angle from her body, making enemies that damaged her take damage too. However it doesn't work on long range, also makes her unable to move for a moment. It does make enemies stagger back as it is a somewhat surprising move at the somewhat violent manner it does.
Kalika is a tall woman almost as tall as Time. So about 6 feet tall. She also is seen a bit like the mother figure for a few of the group with a similar attitude like Time. Does have nicknames for a few of them.

"This" is for talking.
'That' is for thinking.
'Those' are the voices.

3rd POV
——————————
——————————
Kalika meekly woke up with a whine in the dead of night as she felt the temperature of her cottage that had become like a cold room, freezing her butt off as she shook under her blankets. With a few more seconds of procrastination, turning and tossing around on her bed to make herself more warm. She decided to finally investigate the situation, pushing off her covers from her body to get up from her bed. Her legs swinging to the side of the bed, her feet touching the cold wooden floor making her sigh from tiredness. She lazily lifted her hands to rub the sleepiness from her eyes so she could look around and figure out why it was so cold. Her dark purple eyes fixed on her fireplace that was not lit anymore, the wood being barely ambers by now. Her confusion showing on her face as she remembered having put a lot more wood into the fire earlier that night before going to bed to hopefully keep it lit all night, but it was strangely almost fully dead now a few hours later.
"What's going on"? She muttered groggily before standing up from her bed with a groan as she stretched her limbs. Grabbing her sheathed sword that she had leaned against her nightstand like usual, the voices ringing in her head as soon as her hand made contact with the handle. 'So cold! The fire is out Kali! Glad you didn't freeze too much. Why didn't you bring more logs inside the cottage before going to sleep Kali'? The voice said to her, some complaining about the situation, some teasing her and some somewhat lecturing her about her lack of thinking before going to bed. She secured the belt of the sheath to her hips, not even thinking of putting on pants. "Can't a woman get her beauty sleep without worrying for once"? She grumbled to the voices with a sigh. She had in fact miscalculated how much logs she would need, this time she didn't bring enough inside. 'Put on some pants woman! It just gets darker earlier in autumn. How did you make the same mistake as last year? Are you really going outside, dressed like a whore'? The voices spoke, the last comment about her outfit made a lot of the women's voices scream in outrage, reprimanding the offensive voice. "Calm down y'all, it'll be a quick trip if I bring a lot of logs back in one go. Besides no one is here to see me, dressed or not" She spoke back to the voices calmly with a sigh as she made her way to her front door.
She walked out of her homey cabin after opening the door in only her panties and spaghetti straps tank top. The darkness staring back at her as she closed her door behind her before walking down the steps, her eyes gradually adjusting to the darkness. The benefits of living on her own is not needing to waste time dressing up to get something from outside that would take less time than getting dressed. 'No enemies?! It's weirdly quiet. We don't like the vibe at all' The voices spoke cautiously, she was sure their souls were scanning the parameter nervously, waiting for any attack. She ignored them and chose to walk quickly to not stay cold for too long, silently cursing herself that she built the shed so far away from her cottage. 'At least I chopped a lot of wood yesterday, I just have to grab a lot so I don't have to come outside another time this night' She thought to herself with a shuddering breath, her hands holding her arms to try keeping herself somewhat warm.
She continued her quick urgent walk towards the shed, now already halfway done to go through the path towards the shed. A dark portal suddenly appeared under her feet making her freeze with surprise and due to her feet getting stuck in the portal as it gradually made her sink into it more and more. "What the-"! She exclaimed in surprise, her eyes wide as her left hand hesitantly grabbed the sheath of her sword and her right hand went to hold the handle of her sword, preparing to be attacked. 'WHAT IS GOING ON KALI?! IS THIS A TRAP?! BUT THERE'S NO ONE AROUND! AND YOU'RE STILL IN PANTIES, NOT EVEN WEARING BOOTS'! The voices screamed out in a panic, freaking out more than the woman being currently forced through a portal in the dead of night. "Damn it" She muttered to herself before she could be fully absorbed by the portal that had suddenly appeared under her feet, feeling more annoyed by the situation than fearful. She subconsciously held her breath and closed her eyes tightly before being fully absorbed by the portal, not sure what would be on the other side.
——————————
——————————
Once Kalika's head was through the portal she could feel herself free falling from a high place, exhaling a breath she was holding as she opened her eyes wide to see where it had warped her. She had been teleported in the sky above a dense forest she didn't recognize, still night but it wasn't cold anymore. 'A forest? We don't recognize any forest like this. There are so many trees! This is kinda exciting from the two years of doing nothing' The voices spoke more calmly, she could hear a few of them freaking out about her free falling from the sky. "Why am I even here"? She asked no one with a frown as her right hand let go of the handle of her sword. Her left hand moving to hold both the handle and the sheath of the sword firmly to keep it in place. Preparing to use wings to help her land on the ground softly. When she got near the ground after almost hitting the trees she managed to use wings to land gracefully on the grassy forest floor. 'A very good landing Kali. That was amazing! Ten out of ten technique' The voices hyped her up with a few chuckles in the background.
"What do y'all see"? She asked cautiously as her left hand returning to the handle of her sword, looking around for any danger. 'No men in sight! No monsters, no nothing. We're all alone with you Kali. Should we cover more grounds here? Yes, we have more blind spots because of all the trees. Be careful Kali'! The voices exclaimed as they watched over her, a few saying clear in the background, probably roaming around close by her. "Great, half naked in an unknown forest, living the dream" She said out loud with a sigh, earning a few laughs from the voices as her eyes looked around the forest with perplex. 'At least it's not freezing' She thought to herself with a yawn as she started to walk towards the north. 'We told you to put on some pants Kali. I'm more surprised something like this hasn't happened until now. Yeah, me too. Maybe there are other people in the same situation? Good people or bad people? I hope they're some hot sexy men that aren't mean but can be rough with us. What, they're going to erotically polish the sword'? The voices spoke more about the situation, their tone now more sarcastic as they mostly spoke over each other and not Kalika.
She continued on, ignoring the voices when they bickered with each other. A few times they warned her about monsters before they could sneak up on her. She continued to walk. At some point the sun had risen up in the sky, illuminating the forest more "So there's that many monsters that they don't mind having a few killed"? She mumbled out loud, feeling a bit surprised, the monsters back home were not in number and usually left people alone if they didn't invade their territory for too long. 'Maybe they mate more? Probably because they still have a habitat to populate. Yeah, there's not much forest left back home, we had to travel so far just to find a place for the cottage' The voices made comments as she continued on in hope to find the end of the forest or at least village that would help her figure out where she was. Maybe even stealing things for her to wear and eat if it's a rich village.
She stopped walking for a few seconds to stretch her hands over her head with a grunt, her eyes closing as she let out a yawn. When her eyes opened back up again she saw a group of men that looked strangely similar to one another, two looking back at her with wide eyes. The woman and the two men that had noticed her stared at each other for a few seconds before Kalika started to unsheathe her sword to which the two men reacted quickly. "Enemy"! The one with a long blue cape screamed as he unsheathed his sword from his back, alerting the rest of the group while getting ready to fight. 'How many of them? Nine. Who is their leader? We don't know! They have a child with them! Cute! Brat!? They feel weird! They seem strong and experienced. Some look so attractive! Yeah, a few pretty boys' The voices from her sword almost screamed in her head as she looked at them getting ready to fight her as they noticed her between the trees.
A slightly older looking man moved in front of the group with a confused look on his face as he looked at her. 'Is he the leader? We can never be sure! He's older than the rest of them. He reminds us of you Kali! He's kinda attractive. Oh shut up! What's with the marks on his face? He's taller than Kali! Wow'! The voices continued before Kalika pointed her sword at him and tilted her head. "Are you the one that brought me here"? She asked the man firmly with narrowed eyes. "What"? He replied with a confused look on his face. "A portal appeared near my house and I landed here in this forest. Do you know why sir blond hair"? She repeated with more details still as firmly with a nudge of her head. A few snorted at the name she gave him. "No, we also got here because of a portal" He replied firmly to the woman.
She relaxed at his words, her sword lowering before putting it back into its sheath, still gripping the handle so the voices could warn her of any dangers. "What's your name miss"? Another with brown hair asked her with a kind smile. "Kalika" She replied calmly to him, they seemed a bit confused at what she said. "You're not named Link"? Another with long hair asked her with a raised eyebrow. "No, are you all named Link"? She replied with a confused look on her face, to which they all nodded their heads. "Of course you are" She said blankly with a sigh. "Why are you half naked Miss Kalika"? The youngest looking Link asked before a more mature looking Link covered the younger eyes, a protest leaving the one that asked the question. "I was sleeping before being wrapped here" She replied calmly to the question.
——————————
——————————
Kalika was reluctant to be accepted in the group, not sure if the group would only slow her down. But, with the words of the voices she realized that she had no real quest to do. She had been wrapped to another world for an unknown reason. Saying that it would be interesting to experience being in a group for a long time for the first time. She had been given the blue scarf to act as a makeshift skirt by who she now knew as Warrior so she wouldn't be half naked in front of the youngest that she now knew as Wind. "Did all of your tools stay behind in your world"? Sky's kind voice asked, the other one that had first seen her, he had noticed that she only had her sword on her. "No? I have my sword and my charms, that's all. The only stuff I don't have are my clothes" She replied calmly with a confused look on her face at being asked that question.
"So ya mean to tell me ya wandered 'round the whole time with just yer sword? What were ya usin' 'fore ya got yer hands on it"? Twilight, a more mature looking man with a southern accent spoke up with a confused look on his face, he kinda reminds her of a puppy. "The sword is the first thing I found, the charms were found along the way" She answered calmly with a yawn. "Lucky... I had to build mine gradually to be able to defeat Demise" Sky whined with a sigh, rubbing the back of his head. "How many years did that take you"? She asked him as she looked him over, confused as he didn't look very old. "Uh... a week"? Sky replied sheepishly as he looked away awkwardly. "Wait, years? How old are you"? Hyrule asked her only to be smacked by Warrior. "You don't ask a lady her age" Warrior said firmly to Hyrule only to be ignored by Kalika. "I'm 36 years old" She answered calmly, not minding the question. The group looked at the woman and also Time who was the oldest man here quietly calculating. "Not everyone ages the same way" Time commented with a fake offended look on his face.
"How long did your adventure last"? Legend asked her with his arm crossed, looking suspiciously at her. "30 years" She said blankly, making everyone look at her with disbelief. "What!? You were six years old when you started"? Wind asked before anyone else had the time to ask anything. "No, I was four years old, it ended two years ago" She answered calmly as she explained the details of the time she spent. "That's worse"! Twilight exclaimed as she facepalmed. "So were you in a similar position as Wild? Something happened when you were four and you woke up two years ago to rescue Hyrule of danger? You look young" Four asked as his thumb pointed back at Wild while asking her the question. "No, I spent 30 years fully conscious" She answered calmly, her fingers tapping on her knee. "So you first picked up the sword at four years old"? Wild asked her, making her look a bit hesitant at the question, her hands securing the makeshift skirt from the blue scarf around her waist. The group understood that look and left the subject for the day.
——————————
——————————
"Where are we even going"? She asked Twilight calmly as the group walked through the now less dense forest, her walking beside Twilight, not that she minded. "Hopefully, we find ourselves a lil' village with a cozy inn to hunker down for the night. Might snag ya some new duds while we're at it" Twilight answered her, seemingly a bit on edge about something. 'BIG MEAN DOG THING! NINE OCLOCK! KALI WATCH OUT ABOVE'! The voices screamed at her just in time for her to prepare for the sudden enemy that jumped above her to try attacking her with an element of surprise. The group turning to her with a panicked expression as she slouched her body, Twilight reaching his hand to try to pull her away from danger. A sudden burst of energy came out of her as her upper body thrusted upward, the energy blast making a high pitched screaming sound as it disintegrated the enemy like it was nothing. The blast making wind blow their way at the energy impact. Just like that the enemy was gone before anyone else had time to pull out their swords.
"An inn? Really"? She asked like nothing happened with a raised eyebrow, scratching her cheek as she seemingly didn't expect them to want to go to an inn at all. She looked back at them with a blank look on her face when she noticed them staring at her with wide eyes. "What are you all looking at? Oh... you all can't do that uh"? She asked with a slightly teasing voice as she realized that they couldn't do the same things she could. "It's a wonder how you all didn't have to spend years on your adventures" She said tauntingly with an amused chuckle. That seemed to snap them out of their stupor, now looking at her with amazement. "Wow! What was that, it sounded like high pitched screaming, that was awesome"! Hyrule asked her excitedly as he approached her cautiously. "No wonder you only carry a sword" Legend exclaimed with a whistling sound, crossing his arm with a somewhat impressed smirk on his face.
"We were about to fight her earlier" Warrior mumbled with a somewhat mortified expression on his face thinking about that possibility, earning a reassuring pat on the back from Sky. Before the group could continue to fuss over her abilities, Time cut them off. "We can discuss this when we find an inn boys" He said firmly with a sigh as he signalled them to return in line to travel some more. A few of the group groaned at not being able to question her about her abilities and also having to walk more. "Well... how'd ya sniff out them foes like that"? Twilight asked her calmly as the group continued their walk towards finding a village. "It was big and loud. How could I not have noticed it"? She replied calmly while giving him a weird look. "Yeah, though so" He said with a sigh, his hand combing his hair.
The group surprisingly actually found a village with shops and an inn. 'Rich village? Let's kill those cocky bastards! Calm down, we already figured out that we're in a different world, they don't even look rich. But, they have good products! So what, this world is not the same, we can't assume stuff like that. We don't want to cause trouble for Kali with the group' The voices argued in the background as the woman tried to ignore them. She herself was surprised with the peaceful village. "Hey, there's a clothing shop, let's go find you something to wear miss panties" Warrior said as he dragged her to the shop by pulling her along by the waist. She flinched as his hand came a bit too close to the sword, but let out a sigh when he let go as they entered the shop. 'Awooga! Pretty boy is with us! Stop being horny'! The voices exclaimed at Warrior's presence.
——————————
——————————
Kalika decided to grab clothes that she could wear in most situations and had layers. She got brown trousers, dark brown boots, a black long sleeve undershirt, a gray thick t-shirt, a white button up shirt and a green backpack. She still kept her panties and spaghetti strap tank top. She also got herself more undergarments for the road. She had given back the blue scarf to Warrior. 'You look amazing Kali! Useful. Girlboss'! The voices of the women exclaimed happily at the new clothes that Warrior had paid for. "You dress more modest than I thought you would Kalika" Warrior said as he looked at her, kinda missing her cleavage. "You're a bit too young for me little knight" She said teasingly with a smirk, making him sputter. "T-that's not what I- I didn't mean it like that"! He said as he waved his hands defensively, making her chuckle at the pinkness of his face.
The two regrouped with the others at an inn, they vaguely commented on her new clothes. "Mommy-" Wind exclaimed without thinking before stopping in his tracks with an horrified look on his face. "I m-mean miss Kalika" He said with slight shame, his whole face red as the others all started laughing. "I don't mind the nickname little duck" She said calmly as she ruffled his hair gently. 'He's so precious! Can we keep him? Aww he called Kali mommy. So cute, we want to squish his little cheeks! We're having cuteness aggression' The voices almost screamed out about what had happened. The other's settled down after a while in a fire lit in the fireplace. She noticed Wild looking intently at the blade on Sky's back almost in a trance.
"I've been meaning to ask, you tempered that sword right"? Wild asked Sky calmly, bringing the attention of the others. "Can- can you hear the voice-"? Wild continued the question, Kalika whipping her head at the mention of a voice. 'Voice? Like us? We want to know more! Can you speak of us Kali? Maybe if we clash we can speak with the other voice'? The voices started to freak out but quieted down after Kalika nudged her sword so she could listen. "Voice"? Four exclaimed in confusion as he looked at Wild. "Well yeah, that's what they say, a voice can be heard" Wild explained his question to four calmly. "Hear? I knew the very soul of the sword" Sky said with a soft smile, now holding the sword with his hands. "Just the blade itself. Precise, cold, elegant and beautiful. And without question, loyal" Sky spoke of the blade fondly before a frown etched itself on his face. "But now that she rests, I don't hear the voice anymore" He said with a more sad sigh. "Well not like before anyway. But I know she's still there" Sky said with a soft smile, a bit of sadness still on his face.
'It's different from us. Soul but no voice anymore? Girly pop blade? We wish it could be like this for us. Not speak anymore? No dumbass, our soul resting! Oh makes more sense. Speak of us Kali, please'! The voices from her swords pleaded to Kalika as she herself wasn't sure about mentioning her sword to the others. "I gotta admit, that sword keeps a high standard" Wild said with a blank face, Time giving the blade a side glance. "Rightfully so" Wild added. "It's better we prove ourselves, before we fool ourselves" Wild finished his comment with a slight smirk, looking away with a slightly bitter expression on his face. "Even pulling the sword isn't enough. Its true power still rests" Wind added the comment calmly without addressing anyone in the room. Kalika noticed Hyrule looking at the sword with wonder before leaning closer to look at it. "I admit I'm curious" He said calmly as Sky still held the sword with a soft proud smile.
Hyrule reached towards the handle with his right hand. "You draw that blade..." Time started with a warning tone, making Hyrule stop his hand. "...you subject yourself to its judgment and whatever responsibility that comes with it" Time said in a calm but warning tone, Kalika nobbed her head along, reminiscing about her own sword. Hyrule looked hesitant for a moment as Sky looked a bit surprised at the warning. Hyrule finally reached and unsheathed the sword, the blade beautiful as it seemed to glow. 'Wow! We're jealous. We look so bland compared to her' The voices complained with sighs in the background and a few compliments to the sword. "Just a beauty, isn't she"? Warrior commented to Hyrule with a grin. "I'm lost for words" Hyrule said with a smile as he pointed the sword tip to a wall.
"With that blade, you feel invincible" Warrior added with a smile as he held an apple. "That's a dangerous way of thinkin'" Twilight commented to Warrior's words with a slight frown. "Almost cost me my life" Warrior replied before taking a bite of the apple. "Here" Legend spoke up as he held out his hand for the sword, once in his hands he held it up as if presenting it. "A little gold dust, a few more divine blessings, and we got ourselves an unspeakably powerful blade" Legend offered with a smirk before turning to look at Four. "Whaddya say smithy"? He said as he wiggled his eyebrows at said smith. "Oh no! No magic swords! Nothing but unwarranted surprises" Four disagreed strongly as he turned to look at Legend blankly. "So what's with that one"? Legend replied with a raised eyebrow as he pointed at the sword that Four had let lean on a wall near him. "You'll see when the time comes. The four swords is just as impressive" Four replied with a huff as he closed his eyes with slight pride.
"Why the secrecy"? Warrior asked with a raised eyebrow as he swallowed a piece of his apple. "I'm not the only one sitting on secrets" Four said firmly after opening his eyes to look at Warrior blankly. A heavy silence fell on the group as they all look slightly sheepish at the comment Four gave. 'Welp, here goes nothing' Kalika thought to herself with a sigh. "My sword also has voices and souls" She broke the silence seriously, her words causing everything to almost have whiplash as they turned their head to look at her with wide eyes. "S-say that again"? Sky said, curious of her words with a frown. "The blade forged from the blood of thousands. That's the title it holds, along with their souls, maybe a little less than a thousand tho" She said calmly as she rubbed her sword with her thumb. "They're curious about that blade and wanted me to mention them to you all" She added calmly as she pointed to the Master blade.
"So it's speaking to you all the time"? Hyrule asked as he tilted his head, she gave a nob at his words. "How did you even come to obtain it"? Time asked her as he crossed his arms. "When I was four years old, my village was attacked and destroyed, the sword fell out of a hidden box and I grabbed it to try protecting myself or at least fight back instead of dying doing nothing" She began to tell her story calmly with a sigh. "As soon as my skin touched the handle, my body was possessed, for ten years I was unable to be in control of my own body. They killed pretty much everything in their path as they roamed around the land. The sword wanted to keep me as a vessel, they kept me alive, healthy and going. They were truly awake for the first time centuries after being finished, they were angry, sad, afraid and confused" She explained somewhat briefly so they could understand without a long explanation. "Why did that change"? Warrior asked as he leaned forward in his chair with curiosity. "One day, they weren't able to fully dodge an attack and my blood spilled on the blade. They recognized that I was a descendant of the first man that had been killed and used to make the blade. The same swordsman that has been controlling my body for ten years" She explained how she got the control of her body back calmly. "I was crying for days after that and paranoid for months that they would change their minds on letting me be in control of my own body" She added calmly with a sigh.
"That's horrible" Wind said with teary eyes, trying to hide the fact that it made him extremely sad that she had been his current age and only got back control of her body. "Why didn't you just get rid of the blade"? Legend asked blankly only to be smacked by Hyrule. "Well, they were the only thing keeping me safe and they did take care of me for ten years. I did try to throw it away, but people would find it, grab it, get possessed and they would roam around the land to find me. So they always found a way back to me" She explained calmly what would happen when she tried to get rid of the blade. "You said they were curious about the Master blade"? Sky asked as he tilted his head. "Yes" She gave a nob. The group spoke for a moment before Sky and Kalika decided to make their swords touch to try and get them to meet or something. The duo drew their swords and gently clashed their blades against the other. Sky flinched as he heard all the voices loud and overlapping.
'Hi! Hello girly pop! You're beautiful! We like how you were made! We present proudly Kali, our vessel! Is this kinda erotic like rubbing our body together? Stop it idiot it's more like an handshake, you'll make her uncomfortable! Oh right...sorry girly pop. Is she hearing us! We don't know. Maybe she is truly resting? Is the cute one hearing us too? Maybe, he flinched like something made a loud noise. We are loud aren't we?! Hello there cutie~ how you doing'? The voices spoke excitedly as Sky became flustered, his hand rubbing the back of his head as he pulled his blade away with an awkward cough. "You weren't kidding... they speak so much" Sky said with a meek sigh and feeling a headache coming in. "Guess I should've warn you about how loud they are" She said with an apologetic expression on her face.
Four looked at the blade with fascination as she held it up and twirled it for him to examine without having to touch out. "It looks pretty bland to me" Wild commented blankly, Kalika suddenly pointing the tip of the blade in his direction with a more firm technique. "SHUT IT PISS HAIR! Like it's our fault! Rude! BLADE BREAKER"! Her voice changed from her usual casual smooth, now multiple voices with different tones overlapping insulting the man that insulted the blade, the voices clearly upset as her face frowned. The group flinched having just witnessed Kalika being possessed by the sword, after a few moments Kalika seems to be back to normal again. "What have I told y'all about possessing outside of combat? I'm not cleaning y'all, you all will be dirty for the next combat" She scolded her blade harshly. 'NO! We don't like to be dirty! Please no! We'll be good! We didn't even try to slash anything. Or anyone! Sorry! Please clean us girlboss'! The voices broke into a freak out at the punishment. "Y'all should have thought about it twice before possessing me without reason" She simply replied with a huff as she put away her sword so she couldn't hear the voices screaming at her and they wouldn't be able to possess her again.

Hi, author here! So I'm finished for this chapter. It was fun and a bit of a change from the other zelda fic I was writing. I might use the same oc for hero's paradox which is a similar story to LU. But, I might not write a fic about it unless I have a really good idea of what I would want to write because I don't want to just repeat the same thing and also Hero's paradox is very new in terms of development. 5100~ words for this chapter, took me only two day.
Chapter 3: Knowledge
Summary:
The group have to explain things to Kalika.
Notes:
I had a chapter half ready or something, but the idea was kinda cringe. It would be a bonus chapter maybe at some point. I got a few rules when it comes to writing. No writing past 10 pm as I can get annoyed and start writing in less details so I have to rewrite around the chapter later on, annoying me more. However I can correct past 10 pm, simple stuff like misspelling or wrong words if I notice them. No writing while not calm or when I forget to take my ADHD medication, it has never happened to write while not calm and I can't focus enough when I forget to take my medication, but it is included in the rules. No forcing myself to write when I don't want to, I get burned out when I force myself. However when I just have a few stuff to tweak before posting the chapter is the exception as the fact that the chapter is posted gives me a boost and cancel out the force writing. New rule just added, no getting ideas for a chapter while on my period, it only applies to starting a chapter.

3rd POV
——————————
——————————
The chain were getting to know each other slowly as they were each not very trusting in the first place. With Kalika being the most recent addition to the group of heroes it was something else. Even if she had probably experienced the most intense version of the adventure to save her Hyrule, it was not the same thing they experienced. She wasn't a bearer of the triforce, she never did small quests and she didn't save her Hyrule as a hero like everyone else. The group also learned quickly that despite being quite old compared to the rest of them, excluding Time, she didn't know a lot of stuff, but in a weird kind of way. She has the maturity of an adult but had mostly the knowledge of a little kid. She still cracks dirty jokes with Legend and Warriors, which puts her in a weird position of being wise in some subjects but having no clue about simple things. She isn't embarrassed about her lack of knowledge at her age, instead mostly mildly curious about things she didn't know about, listening calmly when things are being explained to her. It wasn't really something they thought would be important at first because they also were a bit dense on some subjects so they didn't pay attention to it until she got really confused but curious by Wild's cooking.
She didn't know how to cook meals like Wild, which is understandable as he is the assigned cook for a reason, she had explained that she knew how to cook meat over a fire and some vegetables or fruits to balance out her nutrients but that was about it. She was also caught eating bugs multiple times while they travelled, not really caught as she wasn't hiding her eating habits from them and even offered some of the bugs to a few of them when they gave her a weird look, thinking that it was about her not sharing. Time had to give her a long lecture about sharing stuff after they had noticed that she didn't share any of her stuff she found even if most were useless to her. She didn't seem to get it all that much, but after telling her that it was a thing people did when in groups and showed trust she hesitantly began to share her stuff she didn't need or were useless to her. They also soon learned that she only knew the broad names of things, it became a problem when she would help Wild cook and she was unable to give him what he asked to be given. It took more time explaining what was what to her than making the meal originally without any help. Wild decided to talk about it to the group after she called a lizard a 'scaly insect'.
They decided that as a group they'll explain to her what she didn't know as best as they could. Each of them were tasked for different subjects if they are in a group, however if she is alone with one of them they can explain whatever she asked vaguely and she can ask for more details from the one tasked with the subject. Sky was tasked with explaining everything that flies that includes birds, insects and other stuff in that category. Wind is tasked to explain everything that swims or is near water. Twilight is tasked to explain everything that walks around animals and insects. Four is tasked to explain minerals, he also has been told to specify when minerals may end up in food like salt. Hyrule is tasked to explain nature, monsters and magic. Legend was specifically mentioned to not listen to him or ask others if he told her information about something as he is not trusted to explain it correctly to her. Warrior is barely trusted to explain the difference between weapons as it isn't really necessary and also they don't trust him to not change the names of weapons as inappropriate word play. Wild is tasked to explain everything about food to her. Time is tasked to explain everything that falls in between all the subjects that the others are tasked to explain and concepts like sharing or trust. It isn't hard to explain stuff to her as she is aware that she lacks knowledge herself, she is mostly eager to know about more things.
"Really that's called a bush? Like how baby fishes are called guppies and not very small fish" Kalika spoke calmly as she looked at the bush they had stopped by, her head tilting in her curiosity as she observed the green leaves of the plant. "Well, a bush isn't a very small tree in the first place, it's a different plant entirely" Hyrule explained calmly the concept of a bush to the taller woman as the others surveyed the surrounding area while taking that chance to rest for a bit. "Oh, that makes sense, but why are there bushes in the first place if there are trees making the oxygen"? She asked with a confused tone, tugging at the green leaves. "They often grow berries, not all of them are edible, I'm guessing you know that already" Hyrule explained the usefulness of bushes with the connection to food. "Yeah, got poisoned a few too many times to know which is not edible. But, I haven't come across any apple bushes"? She replied with a nob, still confused about the connection with food. "Apples grow on trees" Wild spoke up from the side as the subject of food was brought up. "Really, why"? She asked with confused tone as her eyes shifted to look at the cook before returning to the bush. "Apples are too heavy to grow on the branches of a bush" Legend answered simply to her, to which she looked in between the members of the group for confirmation. "Well, it's just that apples aren't berries at all but he's not wrong about apples being too heavy to grow on bushes" Hyrule confirmed the answer she had been given by Legend with a grumble at him just chiming in again.
"What about bananas? I've only seen some at some vendors back in my world" She asked Wild as the subject of fruits and berries were brought up. "Well, bananas are called a fruit by most people, but it's in fact a berry" Wild explained simply to her. "So even if they're heavy they grow on bushes"? She asked with a confused expression on her face. "No, they also grow on trees" Hyrule answered sheepishly to her question, even though he knew that it would be confusing to anyone that didn't know about that. "Right...I'll just call it a fruit like everyone else" She replied blankly with a sigh, her fingers tapping on her belt with slight frustration as they continued on walking, seemingly going nowhere specifically at the moment. Kalika had made the personal choice of avoiding touching her sword too much after she had noticed that the group would get tense while she was touching it. The voices were half understanding of that, one side were against it saying that they were a bit worried about not being able to warn her of surprise attacks, the other half understood that it wasn't a common situation to have someone you didn't know that could be possessed by their sword, she decided to stop touching the sword before they could get loud in their argument.
"HEYYY"! A voice suddenly exclaimed from behind the group, most of them turning around to see who it was. It was a guy in booty shorts wearing a backpack and a flag with a bunny on it weirdly enough. Kalika subconsciously put her hand on the sword as she narrowed her eyes at the unknown man. She didn't draw the sword when she saw that the others weren't on guard by the new presence so she simply left her hand there just in case but she just calmly decided to watch as the man ran to the group while waving his hand in the air. "Is there a fellow named 'Link' and a lady named 'Kalika' in this party"? The man asked the group as he got closer. "Uhh...Yes, yes there is" Warrior answered the man with a bit of hesitation in his tone and a raised eyebrow. "Ah! Wonderful"! The man exclaimed as he took off his backpack to pull out two letters. "I have a letter for Link..." He said as he looked at the large group of guys that somewhat all looked alike, a bit unsure about which Link he had to give the letter to. "...Anyone"? The man asked with an awkward expression on his face. "Here..." Sky replied sheepishly after a bit of hesitation, lifting his hand to gesture to himself before he took the letter out of his hands. The first hero observed it for a moment as the man walked to the woman of the group, giving her the other letter he had to her and he promptly ran away quickly as the group was left a bit stunned at what had happened.
"It's written in your Hylian" Sky said calmly as he handed the letter over to Wind who had a surprise look on his face as he was given the letter. He opened the envelope to see what was mailed to him. "This is for me, this is my regular mail" He said blankly with a stunned expression on his face. "Impossible! This isn't your Hyrule" Legend exclaimed with more confusion than surprise as he peeked over Wind's shoulder to see what was written on the letter he was holding. "But this is my mail" Wind repeated with equally the amount of confusion in his voice. "This doesn't make sense. How did the postman get this"!? Twilight exclaimed before turning to see if he could talk to said postman. "HEY"! He exclaimed as he turned towards where the postman had run off to, only to be left in silence as the postman had left his sight, not even turning at his scream.
"Should we be worried"? Warrior asked out loud to no one specifically with wide eyes like he just experienced someone suddenly dying in front of him. "My little sister drew a picture for me" Wind muttered to himself as he looked at the letter in his hands. "Now that's dedication" Time said with an amused tone a slight chuckle leaving him. "What about you Kalika? I thought you lived alone after your quest. Did you leave a lover behind or something"? Legend questioned her playfully as she opened her more packed envelope, almost dropping multiple letters from the envelope. She took a quick glance at what was written before letting out a sigh, the envelope was quickly snatched from her hold by Legend, she didn't even bother protesting the sudden loss of the papers. "A letter from Amari to Kalika" He said out loud what was written on the envelope for everyone to hear before pulling out the first page. "The Hylian is similar to mine, the old man and the ranch hand" Legend commented with a hum as he read the page, the other giving a hum of understanding as they got curious about who would write to the seemingly lonely woman.
"Dear Kalika, it's Amari again as you can assume because I'm probably the only one crazy enough to write to the woman that killed my father, even if he was horrible to me and my mother. I still don't know if the letters are actually reaching you, I just tell the postman your name and he's gone. Anyways, I didn't have much time to write to you and the voices as of late as I was always tired and having to get up to go to the bathroom every five minutes that late in the pregnancy. But, I just gave birth a week ago, it does feel like I've been split in two, but I now have nothing else to do while resting from the birth. I gave birth to a beautiful and healthy baby girl, named Kirami, a mix of both of our name" Legend started before pausing to turn the page to read the other side of the paper, a few of them awwing at the wholesomeness of the letter trying their best to ignore the killing the father part when they realized that the man probably deserved it and it would also be none of their business.
"I also wanted you to be the godmother of Kirami, even if I'm not sure if you know what that is, don't worry too much about it, you're basically her aunty. Anyways, I made little drawings for each of the voices, show them the papers properly please. Take care Kalika, from the bottom of my heart" Legend finished reading out the letter in front of everyone before displaying the other papers with small drawings along with names beside them. "That's kinda cute of your friend" Sky exclaimed calmly with a slight chuckle as he observed the little drawings, they found the letter to be kind of endearing in an odd kind of way. "Yeah, the voices are always all over the place for days after every letter, gets annoying" Kalika replied calmly with a sigh as the group continued on walking.

The group was surprised when a bunch of bats flew over them. A bunch of monsters with one horn on their forehead accompanied the large amount of bats. "First the postman...now monsters that aren't from here"? Time said with frustration and slight confusion as the group drew their sword, Kalika taking on a group of monsters to the side to deal with a few on her own while still being close enough to hear the others speak. "These bokoblins are from the Great sea" Wind spoke up calmly, specifying where the monsters they were fighting came from. "They're pushovers"! He added before one swung its sword down at him, getting it stuck on the ground, Wind took that time to slash its face with his own sword, revealing dark blood bleeding from the cut on its face. Wind looked shocked for a moment as his eyes trailed to the grass where the blood made a small puddle. "...Or not" He muttered nervously with a stunned expression on his face.
"What a swarm of Keese" Wild spoke out as he pulled out his bow to get ready to shoot them down. "Annoying little pests"! Warrior added as he protected himself from the Keese diving down on him with his shield. "Come on, I'm already up to 10 and-" Legend started to speak before cutting himself off as he seemed to be hearing something somewhere, a look of confusion crossing his face. "What's wrong"? Hyrule asked him as he noticed the abrupt stop in Legend's sentence. "Nothing" Legend muttered to him with a slight frown on his face. The captain turned to look at Kalika, seeing her take out a group of Bokoblins by herself. "Hey! Voices don't go overboard, we don't want to find Kalika a place to clean up every time we fight monsters" He said teasingly with a slight chuckle, she turned to look at him with an annoyed look on her face. "The sword doesn't always possess me when I use it dumbass"! She yelled at him firmly, her normal voice still there, making him flinch as he was almost fully expecting her to be possessed by the sword at that point. "Right...s-sorry" He said sheepishly before returning his attention to fight alongside Wild.
'Jeez, the pretty boy is making assumptions. Does he think that Kali is not strong enough on her own? Well, she is a bit more scrawny than the others. We only possess her when she is struggling! Yeah, she's beating those things asses! It's not like he could have known that, we met them a few days ago! Are you giving the pretty boy excuses for thinking we possess Kali every time something happens? ....no..... Stop meat riding the pretty boy'! The voices debated with each other as Kalika fought the Bokoblins, getting her Soul meter full at the same time. "Can y'all shut it, I'm trying to focus on the fight, y'all can talk to me after" She spoke out loud quietly as she tried to shush the voices as she used the sword while she was fighting. 'A puppy just appeared Kali! It's Twilight! Really, the ranch hand? Yeah, a few of us saw him walk away and transform while hidden from everyone else. So he was in fact a real puppy! So cute! Why is he hiding it, Kali told everyone about us? Well, it seems like a dark spell or something. Does he keep his clothes after? Well, we didn't see him taking them off, so we assume it keeps his clothes intact because of the magic or something. Aww man, we wanted to see him shirtless. Not all of us, you idiot'! The voices spoke loudly, ignoring Kalika's request about being quiet while she fought the monsters.
The woman however, took the time to look over the others and in fact saw a big wolf attacking the monsters and helping the others in the process. Keeping close to Four for now, the smith looked a bit surprised and unsure about the new addition that just appeared alongside him. They all chose to ignore it for now to focus on fighting the monsters, slowly getting rid of them carefully, until they heard a metallic clanking noise, causing their eyes to momentarily turn towards the source of the sound. It was Wind, his sword had been knocked out of his hand during his fight against a Bokoblin. Wild took action first to take a slash from the Bokoblin's sword to his face instead of Wind getting hit, going down and dragging Wind with him to the ground as the slash knocked him out. "OH NO"! Sky exclaimed with a slight gasp as the group turned to the two on the floor. "WAKE UP"! The younger hero shouted at the cook while trying to shake him awake as the Bokoblin got ready to attack them again.
Kalika suddenly appeared in front of the duo on the ground, taking the hit instead before anyone had time to react. Basically getting impaled through the stomach and out of her back. 'Kinda glad that Kali took time to take off her backpack before the fight. Yeah, it's more difficult to fix a backpack than clothes. You got impaled just under your ribs but it's pretty close to touching the spine. You should still be able to move around relatively easily' The voices spoke to her as they examined the new wound on her body. To everyone's shock and horror the woman moved forward into the blade to punch the Bokoblin, the said monster being too stunned by the action to dodge the punch in time. Kalika continued on fighting like a sword isn't stuck in her body, she took the time to pull out the sword and heal quickly during the fight before returning to killing the Bokoblins with the help of the others. Kalika sheathed her sword like the others after they finished killing the monsters before going over to the group who went to see Wild as he stirred into consciousness with a slight groan. "Don't move" Warrior said as he kneeled down next to him to examine his wound. Time also kneeling down beside Wild a little behind Warrior, the others standing around with a worried look on their faces. "He's dead"! Legend exclaimed suddenly, almost making everyone freak out. "What"?! Hyrule said with a panicked look on his face. "NO! He'll be fine. He's already coming around" Warrior said firmly to the others while wanting to give Legend a glare as Wild groaned more, shifting around while waking up.
"That was a mess of a battle" Warrior said as everyone relaxed while Wild sat up weakly. "Someone said it would be easy"! Legend said through gritted teeth as he spoke to Wind. "I didn't know they'd be like the other monsters we encountered before, Kalika killed the other Moblin so easily that we couldn't see if it was probably like that too"! The boy defended himself with a frown as he spoke back to Legend with his arms raised slightly. "Something is happening with these monsters" Time said with a sigh as he was now out of the way on his feet. "You think this is gonna be a pattern"? Four spoke out his thoughts as he looked up at Time. "So this isn't normal? I didn't really encounter monsters back in my Hyrule" The swordswoman spoke to the oldest with a raised eyebrow as she crossed her arms over her chest. "No, these are supposed to be weak monsters and they almost took out our cook" He confirmed her question about the monsters with a nob before she went to get her backpack that she had put away on the group before starting fighting back. "Our ranch hand is going to be worried about you" Hyrule said with a slight smile to ease the tension as he let Wild support himself on him. "I'll be fine" Wild replied blankly with a sigh as he rubbed his forehead with his free hand. "We'll settle in for your sake" Warrior commented calmly with a sigh as he stood beside Wild.
"Miss Kalika! Are you ok? You were impaled and bleeding all over..." Wind ran over to her freaking out a bit before trailing off as he saw the lack of injury on her now. "Oh Hylia, sorry we didn't really notice, the cook was knocked out" Sky said as he too freaked out, walking towards her, also getting confused as he didn't see any injuries on her. "I'm fine, it only impaled me" She replied with a sigh before noticing the confusion on their faces. The only proof that she had been injured was the cut on her clothes and the blood staining the clothes. "Woah, even healing potions don't heal that good" Wind said with slight concern in his voice but was amazed as poked at the intact skin. "You guys can't heal like that, that's kinda sad" She replied with a chuckle as the youngest protested at the teasing. "Seems like it wasn't sharp enough to do damage, it was more like getting hit with a metal bat" She observed the cut on Wild's face now that she was close enough to see it properly. "You'll barely get a scar from it and it doesn't seem to be able to leave any damage" She added calmly as she tilted her head during her observation.

——————————
The group had to settle down earlier than usual due to Wild's injury, Twilight soon coming back with a frown on his face. "No one blames you! I mean, you were on lookout but these things came out of nowhere"! Sky said as he trailed behind the ranch hand, trying to reassure him about the situation. "Someone mentioned some sort of alarming sound. But the old man doesn't even recognize these Blins" The hero of the sky continued on speaking to him as he trailed behind him. "Are you even listening"? Sky asked Twilight with slight frustration as it felt like he was speaking to a brick wall. "I know, I know"! Twilight replied firmly, making Sky a bit confused for a moment. Twilight stopped as he noticed everyone sitting around the place they decided to settle down for the rest of the day.
Warrior turned to look at the two as he noticed Twilight being here finally. "Oh, there you are! You missed the fun" Warrior spoke up with a slight frown on his face. Kalika looked over as she saw Twilight finally back, pausing her action of cleaning the blade of the dark blood of the monsters that stained it. 'The puppy is back! He really does transform. We saw it Kali! We think it's dumb that we couldn't warn Kali because they are too paranoid that we'll possess Kali. The ranch hand wouldn't have a reason to disappear to transform into the puppy. Right, that does make sense. But, why would he need to transform at all, he's clearly strong and skilled enough to fight in his normal form? Should we ask him? No, Kali would have to explain that we do see every thing they do and more. That would be awkward, yeah, we already saw pretty boy stroking it. That was hot. We don't think he would be ok with us watching him jerking off' The voices argued loudly as she let out a sigh before going back to cleaning the blade.
"Nice lookout by the way" Warrior commented with a scoff as he watched Twilight walk past him with a blank look on his face. "To be fair, that wolf didn't even notice them coming" Four added to the captain's comment calmly as Twilight continued to make his way towards Wild. Glancing down at him as he stopped in front of him while he was holding a cloth to the side of his face. "So what was that back there? Ran out of shields you decided to use your face"? Twilight said firmly as he crossed his arms over his chest with a serious look on his face. "As much as you'd like to think it, you're not as intimidating as the old man" Wild replied blankly to the ranch hand with a slight smirk on his face. "He's fine, puppy it just looks bad because it's so close to his eye" Kalika chimed in calmly with a teasing undertone as she watched Twilight sit beside Wild, his eyes flickering to her for a moment with a frown at the nickname.
Wind walked over to them with a mix of concern and slight frustration. "You sure you're okay"? He asked Wild but also vaguely Kalika even if she didn't seem to have minded the wound she had gotten and healed. "Perfectly fine! I've got a tough skull" Wild said with a smile while knocking on his head a few times to emphasize his words. "I wasn't worried about getting hurt much, even if it did kind of hurt. The voices are also glad that nothing too bad happened" Kalika added after Wild, the two concerned on the subject got confused as they saw Wind turn away from them with a huff, crossing his arms over his chest. "Well..." He seemed a bit unsure if to speak about his concerns but continued on after a bit of hesitation, a frustrated look on his face. "I'll have you know, I was ready to dodge out of harm's way back there" He said firmly with a frown, clear frustration in his tone as he turned towards them again. "And this isn't the first time"! He continued with a slight louder tone. "Don't think I haven't noticed" He added with a huff as he looked at the group, who looked down with a bit of shame at being called out, except Kalika who looked mostly confused at his words.
"We can't help it. You're the youngest" Twilight spoke what everyone was hesitant to confirm. "You are the last people I thought I'd ever have to prove myself to. I have the Hero's Spirit of Courage, just like all of you. All I ask is you guys have a little more faith in me" Wind spoke with frustration as he looked at the men around him before he turned to Kalika. "And what's your reason, you think I'm just a little boy"? He said firmly as he pointed at her, the others tensing up as Wind spoke harshly to her. "Isn't that what a group is supposed to do? The old man did explain to me that being in a group is having to protect and trust each other. As far as I know, you can't heal as well as I do" She replied blankly with a raised eyebrow as she spoke confused at his frustration. "W-well I'm not weak! I can take care of myself just fine"! The young hero exclaimed to her with a stutter as he found it difficult to argue against her reasoning.
"Did I mention that? I know I can heal from almost anything unlike everyone in the group, I would have taken the hit for anyone. Except maybe the vet" She replied blankly with a sigh as she pointed her thumb back towards Legend. "Hey"! Said man exclaimed with a fake offended gasp, putting his hand on his chest. Wind sat down beside Time with a huff, his arms crossed again. "I mean, I defeated Ganon! Just how old am I supposed to be"? Wind spoke to Time with a little disbelief in his tone. "I'm the worst judge of that, but I think you've displayed your maturity today" Time replied calmly with a slight chuckle as he mentally had to remind himself to not ruffle the boy's hair. "Well, I've worked up an appetite" Sky spoke out as his stomach grumbled. "By the way, what's the plan with an out of commission cook"? Warrior wondered out loud as they looked over at Hyrule that spoke up himself. "Well, you all are in luck"! Hyrule said with a smirk as he stirred a pot of something, Four making a gesture behind him with a worried look on his face.
Kalika had refused to even get a bowl of whatever Hyrule had made, watching as Sky threw the content of the bowl behind him with a traumatized look on his face. "Wow, this... this is really something else" Warrior said blankly with a smile as he poured what was in his bowl into Twilight's bowl while giving him a pat on the back, Twilight glaring at him quietly with a frown. "Yeah, I need that recipe" Wild said as he seemed to be the only one not totally disgusted by what was served in the bowls. 'Eww! We were not that cruel to even think of making Kali eat stuff like this while possessing her. Well, we could taste what she would eat, we would have totally eaten stuff that disgusting if we couldn't taste it. Yeah, true. Is that even edible'? The voices spoke with disgust as they saw what was in the bowls. "Even I can make something more edible than that with only the sword and a campfire" Kalika spoke up blankly, a few chuckled at her words.

It was now nighttime the group sitting around the campfire, Twilight had kindly lent Kalika his green tunic as she had to take the time to wash and fix her clothes. It was a bit short on her as she was taller but it did sag on her because of her lack of defined muscles. "You've got mask too"? Wind asked Wild excitedly with a wide smile. "Yeah, I have a small collection" The cook replied with a slight proud smile. The youngest of the group then turned his attention to the oldest of the group while tilting his head. "But YOU have a huge collection, right"? Wind spoke to Time who had turned away from them. "Well..." Time started before turning around wearing a mask that was yellow and black in colour. "...You could say that" He said with a nob and a slight chuckle before sitting back down. "I wanna see them"! Wind exclaimed as he made his way to Time who was getting a few masks out. "Not all of them. Honestly I can't believe I played with some of these as a kid, they aren't exactly playthings" Time said as he kept the masks that he didn't want the boy touching away from his reach.
"You don't use these anymore"? Wind asked curiously as he put on a pair of bunny ears on his head. "It's for children, besides, I doubt you'll even fit that one" Time said as he took off the yellow mask, gesturing to it as he spoke. "I never would have guessed you like masks" Hyrule spoke up his thoughts as he looked over at all the masks Time had pulled out from his bag. "I used to love them as a kid. Well, I suppose I still have an appreciation for them" Time said with a slight smile as he looked down at the yellow mask he was holding. "Check it out"! Wind said loudly to grab the attention of everyone as he held up his sword while wearing the bunny ears. "We've got to see you go into battle like that"! Sky exclaimed with a chuckle at the sight of Wind goofing around. "Aww that's so cute! Little duck is the cutest! We want to squish his little cheeks! We might die a second time from the cuteness overload"! Multiple voices spoke out from Kalika as her eyes stayed on her clothes while she fixed them. The group flinched at the sudden loud speaking coming from the usually quiet woman.
"Why are you all possessing her now"? Hyrule asked with a worried look on his face as he crossed his arms, the others silently agreeing with Hyrule questioning them. "She doesn't know how to fix up clothes. We help her with things she doesn't know how to do. We don't always want to possess her to fight. Most of us don't actually know how to fight. Yeah, most of us were living normal and uneventful lives before we got killed by that freak" The voices explained calmly with a few scoffs leaving her as the voices seemed not impress with the group's assumptions about them. "Oh, right guess that does make sense" Sky said calmly with a hum as he watched her put down her clothes she was fixing. "Gotta say, your tunic is quite comfortable, puppy. Yeah, is it made of anything special? Should we convince Kali to get a similar one? Maybe she doesn't like the feeling of it on her like we do, she can't really communicate to us about it right now"? The voices spoke over each other as her eyes blankly looked at Twilight for a moment, her hands coming up to cup her breasts absentmindedly as the voices spoke to each other and Twilight vaguely.
Most of the member's eyes drifted to her hands and her breasts she was holding absentmindedly, most with a flustered expression. "I don't know the material, it was given to me a while ago. W-wait, you all can feel what she feels"? Twilight answered awkwardly before switching to a curious and surprised tone as he realized that the voices could feel the tunic on her. "Yeah, only when we possess her. We're not sure how all of us feel it at the same time even if only one of us is able to possess her at a time. It's the same with tastes and smells. We kind of downgrade on what we see or hear when we possess her. Yeah, we can't watch or hear from all angles like we can when we aren't possessing her. Well the rest of us can, the one possessing her is stuck in her point of view" The voices explained calmly as her hands moved off of her chest as they spoke. "Wait, you all can see us" Warrior chimed in with a frown on his face. "Yeah, we can wander a certain radius around the sword like normal people. That's how we warn Kali of danger at all times. We're not just stuck in darkness within the sword. Isn't it more strange to expect us not to be able to see"? The voices spoke with slight amusement as they explained how they could see.
"So you all can see and hear everything around her"? Legend asked with a thoughtful look on his face, the others looking back at her nervously for different reasons. "Yeah, we see everything at any time. We mostly keep quiet to not overwhelm her with information. We also don't speak while Kali sleeps unless it's to warn her of something important" The voices explained calmly how the concept works and some of the rules that came with it. A few groaned when they realized that they literally couldn't do stuff in secret at all anymore. "Have you all seen masks back in your world"? Wind asked suddenly, changing the subject into what they were speaking about. "Not really. We did but it was the riches doing balls. Yeah, we would normally be there to kill them because they would be connected to the king that made everyone miserable. Masks were also common with cults. Oh yeah, almost forgot. The ones with the three black circles on the white mask? Yeah those ones, they would make sacrifices for the three golden goddesses that had stopped caring about Hyrule long ago. Yeah, their presence stopped long before the oldest of us was born. It became a sort of magic story like fairies, fish people, rock people, bird people and the clan that was only women or something"? The voices spoke with a blank tone, the group wincing at her Hyrule's state, she simply got back to fixing her clothes.
Warrior cleared his throat before deciding to speak. "All of you collect masks like kids. Thought you had weapons, not toys" He commented to the other with a slight smirk. The smirk faded when he noticed the others who looked worried, Sky looking a bit terrified as he looked at something a bit behind the captain. He let out a gasp when he looked behind him only to see a skull thing with a red glowing eye looking at him, scrambling away from where he was sitting and pulling out a small knife from his boot. A laugh was heard as Time got out of the darkness with the skull mask on his face. "Old man, I swear-" Warrior said as he pointed the knife at Time, his other hand on his own chest as both of them laughed. "Boy, I've never seen you move that fast! If only you moved like that in battle" Time commented as he laughed, taking off the skull mask he was wearing. Warrior gave a sigh of relief as he calmed down from the scare the older man gave him. Twilight looked at Time with a perplexed expression on his face. "That's an interesting mask" Twilight said calmly as he observed him for a moment.
"I've got a spooky one too-" Wild chimed in as he pulled out a big mask in a heart shape with spikes on it, it has big eyes and a lot of colours on it. The group of heroes felt uneasy at the sight of the mask in the cook's hands. "It's an evil mask that once housed a demon" Wild started to explain the origin of the mask calmly. "Even monsters sense it's darkness" He added ominously with a neutral tone. "Woah. The way it looks into your soul..." Sky muttered with a shiver as his shoulders tensed up while he looked at the mask. "Nope, no thank you" Warrior muttered as he walked away from the rest of them. "The colours are impressive" Hyrule commented as he looked intently at the mask. "At least that's the story behind it. But I think monsters are just memorized by the eyes" Wild finished the story calmly as he held the mask beside him while tapping one of the eyes with his finger. Time chuckled lightly as he looked at the mask. "Well, well... Before it was destroyed it bestowed an evil and wicked power to the wearer" Time continued to speak its origin with a slight smile. "You know the story too"? Wild questioned him with curiosity as he looked over at the older man.
"That's some creepy stuff. Is that really dark magic"? Four commented and questioned at the same time as he looked over at Time who was now holding the mask in his hands. "It's a fun tale for a plaything" He answered vaguely with a smile as he looked at the mask in his hands before holding it up to his face. "Besides, with a legend like that, I'd be more afraid of what destroyed the demon" Time said blankly as he looked at the mask in front of his face. "We hate it, put that thing away" The voices spoke up with a slight snarl in their voices, they did speak over each other but they had said the same thing so now it was just different layers of the same words at the same time. "I've got one like that too. Here I thought it was one of a kind not some toy..." Legend said with a sigh as he crossed his arms over his chest. "Really"? Wild replied to Legend's words as he was handed the mask back. "I knew a salesman who coveted it. Perhaps he turned a profit...that's an interesting thought" Time spoke calmly, the last part more quietly than the rest of his words.
"Got any others"? Legend asked him curiously. "Something pleasant I hope" Warrior added as he looked over at the old man who was reaching in his bag. "Well...let's see" Time said as he pulled out another mask from his bag, putting it on his face. "With this Mask of Truth you can hear the words of beasts but also hear the secrets of the stones" Time explained the origin of the mask he was now wearing with a calm tone his eyes closed behind the mask. "That's the sheikah crest. They sit on a lot of secrets, being so close to the royal family and all" Wild commented calmly about the mask on Time's face. The older man opened his good eyes about to agree with the cook only to stop as he saw a bunch of people around the group, some looking away and some looking directly at him and the other Links. He tensed up as the pale looking spirits observed the group closely, his eye fell on Kalika's body who was focused on fixing her clothes, one of the spirits leaning over her while holding her shoulders, this one had her eyes closed. Two other spirits were standing close by, a man and a woman, they had a hole through their chest as the other spirits had a slit on their neck.
They whispered to each other before almost all of them turned to look at him. 'Is daddy seeing us'? A young looking woman spoke with a teasing tone. 'It's probably because of that funny looking mask' A young man replied with a chuckle as he vaguely pointed at the mask he was wearing. 'Yeah, but daddy said he could only hear beasts and stones' A young girl protested with a pout. 'Right, he didn't mention seeing stuff at all in the first place' A more mature sounding woman added to the conversation. All the voices arguing were starting to overwhelm him and he decided to take off the mask. He realized what Kalika had to hear from the voices all the time and had to deal with all the voices speaking all the time. 'I would have gone a bit insane at that point' He thought to himself as he closed his only good eye. "You okay"? Wild asked as he noticed Time rubbing his forehead with a frown. "Ah, that's enough for me" Time said with a slight chuckle as he discreetly glanced over at Kalika's body who was now fixing up the last piece of clothing that had been damaged.
"Told ya he's super old, fun is too strenuous for him" Hyrule said teasingly to Twilight who didn't look too impressed with the teasing words coming from the hero. "Hehe well... I can sense the strength and weakness of a foe" Wind chimed in after putting on a weird mask on his face. "You can do that with your own eyes" Legend replied blankly, also not quite impressed by the mask. "Nuh uh"! Wind replied with a scoff as he took off the mask at Legend's words. "Well I think it's neat" Sky added with slight interest in the mask. "Agh! Finally finished with those damn clothes, how does it take so much time fixing clothes" Kalika spoke up suddenly in her normal voice making everyone flinch again. "Didn't you punish the sword the last time they possessed you for no reason"? Four asked her curiously. "Well, there was a reason this time" She answered calmly as she got up to go change out of the tunic she had borrowed from the ranch hand.
Notes:
Hey, author here. It's kinda hard to include Kalika while writing like how I see the comic LU it kinda feels like I'm just copy pasting, but it does help with knowing what to put in the chapter and knowing where I'm at. Kinda annoying to scroll down all the time but it's a small price to pay. Also it's a challenge to find the time to change their names so it isn't just Wild, Wind, Twilight and other stuff like that. About 7500~ words this chapter, I expect less but whatever I'm happy about it.
Chapter 4: Dark lizard
Summary:
The group meet the strange lizard for the first time.

3rd POV
——————————
——————————
"So why are we here again"? Kalika wondered out loud as she looked at the different shops in the village they were trying to get information from. She still almost instinctively stole a few things out of habit at what seemed interesting to her. It had been about two months since they all met Kalika, they all had learned a lot of her habits. "We're here for some information" Four replied as he tugged at her backpack to keep her from wandering away from the group as it had happened way too often then the group would like to admit. They had learned the hard way that she was used to being alone while travelling and would also casually steal stuff from people like it was normal. It was easy to keep her close by tugging at her clothes like it's a leash, but she had gotten buff from being fed properly for probably the first time in her life, so now it was a bit of a struggle to keep her in line while they walked.
'Why do they keep putting me on leash duties, it should be anyone other than me' Four thought to himself with a sigh as he had used his whole body weight to again tug her to keep following the group. "Why"? She asked as it seemed useless to get information. "Or should I ask for what? It's not like we have an objective here"? She asked as she looked down at Four beside her. "Well, we are a group of heroes, mostly, so while seeing if any civilians know anything we make sure that this land is sa- ack"! Four started to explain before Kalika suddenly moved out of the path to go see something that interested her, dragging Four with her as she walked, the others noticing and having to follow the two. "They have so many land birds here"! She spoke up as she looked at all the cuccos that walked around the fenced area.
"They are called cuccos and they are mostly used for their eggs. I have a few back home on the farm" Time explained calmly to Kalika. "Why not eat them too? They seem to give a lot of tasty meat"? She asked as she observed the white birds pecking at the ground. "The eggs are more useful to have" Time replied calmly, too embarrassed to say that he was too scared to try to kill one of the cuccos to eat it. "Mhn, make sense" Kalika replied with a hum. "Okay, I'm tired of doing the leash duty. Why was I even doing it in the first place? Someone else take over because I'm not cut out to do this anymore" Four spoke up with a grumble as he grabbed the attention of the others. "Maybe I can take over-" Legend started with a smirk. "NO"! The whole group said firmly, getting a fake offended scoff out of the veteran.
"If we have to choose, the smith is too small, sailor is not much different on that matter, the voices don't like the vet and the champion, the ranch hand has to pull along Epona already. That leaves me, the traveller, the captain and the chosen hero" The oldest of the group spoke up as he crossed his arms. "Personally it's not a good idea for me to take on that duty because I'm missing an eye" He added as he pointed to his blind eye. "To be completely honest with you all, I'm terrified of that sword" Hyrule spoke up as he waved his hands. "Count yourself lucky you didn't have to hear the voices" Sky spoke up with a shiver, still feeling slightly uncomfortable about all the loud voices he heard by touching the master sword with Kalika's sword. "Come on guys, why am I the last choice? You all only half trust me to explain different weapons to her"! Warriors said with a groan. "What, you're too weak to do it"? Wind spoke up with a smirk as he taunted him, making the captain irk at the jab. "Fine"! Warriors exclaimed as he moved to be beside the taller woman.
"I'm not a child, you all don't need to watch over me" She spoke up blankly with a sigh as she looked at each of them in their conflicts on who had to watch over her. "We wouldn't have to watch over you like a child if you didn't wander around like one"! Warriors replied firmly with a grunt at what she said. "It's not like I'd actually get lost with the voices helping me" She said with a huff as she crossed her arms. "It's more about you creating chaos" Sky spoke up calmly at her words. "Fair enough" She said with a sigh, accepting defeat of the argument. "Are you all talking about the monsters causing chaos around here"? A woman wearing a blue dress with pockets spoke up with a worried look, two other men approached to seemingly talk to them. "These monsters are all demons I tell you"! A balding man spoke up with hand gestures. "Here too"? Another man with orange hair added with a curious look on his face.
"This bokoblin was unlike anything I've known. It took every man in the village to take it down"! The balding man explained the situation to the group. 'That sounds pathetic. Not everyone is strong or skilled like us! It's not like the monsters get smarter too. Well at least they managed to kill it. The pretty boy will be close to us now! We wanted the puppy! Or maybe the sleepy birdie, he's chill' The voices spoke up in Kalika's head as she momentarily checked if they spotted any enemies nearby. "Some royal soldiers couldn't take out a single moblin! Imagine that"! The orange haired man replied with another situation that had happened. "Some of the spotters around the borders of the village saw some Lizafos a few days ago" The woman added with a worried tone as she put a hand to her cheek in a worried manner.

The whole group were now at a sort of clearing where the lizafos stood in a group. The group hidden in some bushes around the clearing. "Lizafos...7 of them" Warriors spoke quietly as Kalika, Twilight, Time and Legend stood close by. "7 are you sure? Do the voices see any more of them"? Legend asked as the four men turned to look at the lone woman. 'There doesn't seem to be any more of them Kali. We only see those monsters actually. That's odd. Yeah, the dark one is even more odd. Can't we just dive down on them, they're close together? No they may surround us if they don't die on the spot, it's a waste of energy and she'll get hurt so she'll have to heal. Whatever you say boss man, but be prepared to possess Kali. We're not all alone anymore, the boys will help us, stop acting like we're all alone'! The voices spoke over each other but quieted down at the last comment from the usually quiet woman.
"Yeah, only 7 of them and no other types of monsters in the area" Kalika answered Legend's question calmly as she herself looked at the group of monsters. "Scales and armour... that means close combat" Time spoke up calmly. "We outnumber them, but who knows if they're stronger than what we expect" Twilight exclaimed with a huff as he shifted his weight. "If we are to believe the locals, we should assume so" Time added with a sigh. "I'm worried about that one there" Twilight spoke up as he pointed out the dark lizafos in the middle of the group. "Probably the leader, they follow the strongest so he'll be a tough one" Time explained to Twilight calmly. "What's the plan"? Twilight replied to Time with a curious tone. "Your guess is as good as mine. This is too many if they give us a tough time" Time answered with a slight frown. "Bombs"? Warriors suggested calmly.
"They'll notice before they go off. Or worse, throw it back at us" Legend chimed in at Warriors suggestion. "I could lead some away" Twilight took his turn to suggest something. "No. I'm not going to have any of you boys risk it" Time rejected the idea firmly with a slight glare. "Kalika, how much energy do you have"? Legend asked the woman. "I'm quite full of energy, so I can tank the hits and use spells" She answered calmly with a hum. "They're fast and agile, they won't let you charge anything up" Time spoke up on how the monsters usually attacked. "Never mind then, I can just tank some hits and use my sword casually" She replied with an annoyed sigh. "We wouldn't be surprised if the voices took over you during the fight" Time said calmly as he pointed to the sword. "I have a plan" Warriors suddenly spoke up, grabbing their attention. "Pray tell" Time inquired about his plan with a nob.
"We'll go in for close combat, one on one. But 3 of you keep an eye on that one until we can cut down their number. Kalika, stay close by that one and attack it if need be" Warriors explained the plan clearly to the group. "Why don't the 3 take him on"? Legend asked with slight confusion. "Or I straight up fight him from the start"? Kalika added to the question as she tilted her head. "The rest of us may need backup. We also can't risk you going down at the start of the fight and having to pull you to the side while fighting" Warriors answered the question calmly, the two giving a nod of understanding at the explanation. "This will work..." Time said calmly as he held his chin with his fingers. "As long as we prevent them from ganging up on a single one of us" Warriors added as he turned his head to look at the lizafos. "Right" Legend spoke up calmly as everyone got ready for the fight.
——————————
——————————
The group made a noise to grab the attention of the lizafos so they could start the attack. Hyrule threw his boomerang at one of the lizards, stunning the one he hit, grabbing the attention of the others nearby. This allowed the group to start the attack, Sky and Twilight being the first two to slash at the monsters. Twilight looked at the blood on his sword for a moment. "These ones are infected"! Twilight shouted his find to everyone. "I NOTICED"! Sky replied with a grunt as he barely dodged the slash of the one he was fighting. Four and Time took one down pretty quickly as a team attack, Hyrule was struggling a bit with the one he was fighting. Kalika dashed toward him quickly before doing a dive on the lizafos before he could hit Hyrule with its tail, it made a loud crunch as its spine collapsed at the force before disintegrating under the spell used on it.
"Thanks for that" Hyrule said with a gulp as he got up from the ground after being pushed back by the shockwaves. 'By the goddesses we are lucky she's on our side' He thought with a shiver as he looked up at the woman that looked down at him blankly for a moment before pulling out her sword and dashing towards the dark lizafos that Warriors had started to fight. Before she could get to Warriors the dark lizafos was pushed off of the ledge of the clearing. They watched it falling down before it ran off into the dense forest quickly. "Great, just let it get away" Kalika spoke up with a grunt as she started to charge up a long dash to potentially catch up to it and kill it. "No stop, you might actually get lost if you land far from here"! Twilight shouted before she fully charged up, making her stop and let out a sigh. "Right" She replied as she put away her sword, making the group relax as the fight was now officially over.
"That was weird, right? It stood back while we took on the rest" Sky spoke up with a frown. "I dunno..." Hyrule replied with a sigh as they checked on each other. "That was almost how the monsters back in my world acted. Well, the lizafos back in my world only stay in caves and rivers to stay hidden or run away immediately" Kalika commented as she fixed her clothes up. "That was some fancy footwork, I thought you were dancing" Twilight said to Warriors with a smirk as they prepared to walk off. "Yeah, you wouldn't know the difference would you"? Warriors replied with a chuckle before turning towards Kalika. "The voices have any comments about my footwork too"? The captain asked with a smirk. "...you're lucky they're just voices sugar" She replied blankly as she heard the voices lewd comments on the man. Using the word sugar was now an habit she had developed a few weeks ago, it made the men flustered at the pet name mixed with her silky voice. "W-what-" Warriors sputtered with a red flush on his face before being cut off.
"Ugh we're getting nowhere"! Legend complained with a groan. Kalika looked back as the group started to walk away while talking to each other, her eyes narrowing as she caught a glimpse of a pair of red glowing eyes in the greenery of the dense forest. 'What a weird ass lizard. We want to hold the pretty boy's waist! Why are we dead! Raw next question. He makes my hole weak, I mean my whole week. Don't even start to try to convince Kali to let us possess her for lewd actions! Come on can't we just be freaky for a bit'! The voices screamed over each other before she felt a hand grab her elbow. "Let's go, we're going back to the village for more information" Warriors said firmly as he tugged her towards the group, forcing her to walk with them. "Right, sorry, the voices were just speaking about what happened" She said with a sigh as she followed along.
——————————
——————————
They were now near a river so they could replenish their water supplies. Kalika took a quick bath nearby as she took the time to trim her hair at the same time. "So how come you went to live by yourself instead of living with Amari, she seemed like a kind person"? Twilight asked the woman as he made his best to not ogling at the naked woman. She had asked them to watch over her while she washed up because she was more vulnerable in the water without her sword to her hip, Time was looking the other way to keep watch too. "She already helped me enough, I'm still seen as a mass murderer back in my world, she would have gotten the backlash. She understood that too" Kalika explained calmly as she got out of the water, drying herself off before getting dressed. "Remember, I'm not a hero like you guys, I just wanted Amari to have a peaceful life" She added with a sigh as she buckled her belt to her hip before the three made it back to the rest of the group.
"Guys! Uh... something's wrong! I mean, I don't think this is a joke" Wind spoke up from beside Wild who stood straight seemingly staring blankly at the water. "He's not hurt again is he"? Legend asked with a frown as he closed his water canteen. "He's just ignoring me" Wind replied with slight worry in his tone. Twilight made his way towards the group's cook, seemingly making sure he was doing alright. "This is what I assume I look like when I get possessed" Kalika commented blankly as she tilted her head while observing the hero of the wild. "Not the time to make jokes" Sky sneered at her as he gave her a jab with his elbow to her ribs. 'Is the cook doing alright? Should we go possess him so he can follow along? No, we have never even possessed anyone in the group before, they'll freak out. Yeah, he's not very consenting right now' The voices spoke more calmly as they got concerned about the cook. They held some affection for the cook after all because he would make food for the sword too that was safe for the metal but tasted good as the voices could taste through the blade.
"What's happening? Is he alright"? Time asked before the voices could possess Kalika so they could voice out their concerns themselves. "I can't tell yet..." Twilight said with a slight frown on his face. "What do you mean by that?! Yeah, we want to know if he's about to die or not! Don't be so dramatic, he's free of any wounds. Should we dig a hole to bury him? Shut up he's fine! Should we carry him with us to continue our path"? The voices suddenly spoke out loudly of their concerns using Kalika, but made her stay in place. Sky nearly had a heart attack at the sudden distorted voices coming out of the woman beside him. The others turned to look at Kalika except Wild who was still blankly staring at the water. "The voices are worried" Kalika added blankly as she gave the reason why they spoke through her. "I thought they didn't like the cook"? Legend spoke up with a raised eyebrow. "They like his food, so they like him by association" She replied with a shrug.
"Just keep moving the group ahead. I'll stay with him through this" Twilight spoke to Time calmly with a hand on his arm. "I can pick up the trail later" He added calmly. "Do what you must" Time replied with a nob before walking towards the group. "C'mon let's get going" Time said firmly as he made a hand gesture. "Hu"? Four hummed with slight confusion as he turned to look at Time. "Already"? Hyrule voiced out as he tilted his head, also confused with the choice Time made. "You heard him sailor, get moving" Warriors said with a sigh as he nudged Wind forward. "I'm confused" Wind voiced out with a stunned look on his face. Warriors was about to take a hold of Kalika's elbow to tug her along as his duty. She moved towards the ranch hand and the cook before he could even touch her. "I'll stay too" She spoke up as she stopped beside Wild. "I'll explain later" Time spoke calmly as he nudged Hyrule along so they could walk. "Get back here, I'll call you all a good sword" Time spoke through his teeth firmly as he called Kalika back as she didn't have any real reason to stay by the cook's side.
"Yes daddy. Only if you pat the sword too. The cook is going to be fine. Should we keep an eye around the camp we'll make too"? The voices spoke up through Kalika as she moved towards the group near Time as they immediately folded against his words. It was a useful trick he had learned worked when he used a fatherly voice as the more younger voices would listen to him. It was quite endearing as the voices seek out his affection. "Sure that'd be nice, good sword" Time spoke calmly as he pat the handle of the sword softly. Kalika returned to herself shortly after before walking beside Warriors instead. "So is he gonna be okay"? Wind asked now more curious than concerned. "From what I understand, yes" Time replied calmly. "It's those memories of his... they just spontaneously return to him. And whatever is there, has him convinced he let the entire kingdom of Hyrule down. As you can imagine, that doesn't mix well with the Hero's Spirit" Time explained calmly to everyone.
"He blames himself? For all that"? Legend spoke up with a sneer. "Well... He can blame himself all he wants... But it all falls on one person" Legend spoke with his arms crossed, the others frowning as they thought about the evil of their world. "Ganon"? Kalika and Sky spoke up at the same time as the two didn't have him as their main enemy. "He's affected all of you hasn't he"? Sky inquired with a small look of pity on his face. "He can't take credit for all of Hyrule's demons" Four spoke up calmly at Sky's words. "Of course" Sky replied with a nob. "You don't say, I was probably the closest thing to that Ganon guy in the eyes of the riches. I however was the closest thing to you guys in the eyes of the poor people I helped. That's a weird view to have" Kalika spoke up with a sigh as she stretched her hands over her head. It was no secret to the group that Kalika didn't see herself as a hero whatsoever like them. Any attempt to talk to her about how she views herself is met with a 'I would have probably killed you' the only one excluded on this was Wind because she couldn't bring herself to kill a kid.
"But make no mistakes, his hatred has no limits" Legend spoke with a frown as he looked down at the ground. "I took on Ganon... but I can't imagine... I never encountered anything like the stuff he, and you guys went through... I must have had it easy" Hyrule chimed in with a sort of sheepish look while looking away from the group. "Weren't you the one telling me that I was a hero even with what I did? Don't bring yourself down when everyone should be on equal grounds. We all met for a reason right"? Kalika spoke up with a sigh as she gave him a few harsh pats on his back that almost made the brown haired man fall over with the force. "Poor kid... He met a terrible fate. Even if we all met for some reason, we haven't suffered equally" Time spoke out at her words as he couldn't help but feel some pity for the champion.
"His sacrifice is nothing less than praiseworthy" Warriors spoke up as he held his sword in front of him while he closed his eyes. "I'm proud to serve alongside a knight, like him, who wears his scars as a trophy of victory over death" Warriors added as he put his sword on his back. "Couldn't have said it better captain" Four spoke up with a grin. "AYE"! Wind exclaimed happily with his fist pumping up in the air. "Hear! Hear"! Hyrule exclaimed more calmly with a chuckle. "Even if he is a bit of a wild young man" Warriors added as with a huff before chuckling like Hyrule was doing. "The cook is pretty amazing. He did have to go through a lot of stuff after all. Yeah, and he's still fun to hang around" The voices spoke up their thoughts through Kalika again, making everyone startled. "Stop doing that"! Legend said firmly with an annoyed look on his face.
