Summary
A comet doesn’t live very long around the sun. She knew that after reading a page on a particular book, and knew that to be a fact after waking up in a world not her own. She already sees the fate written out for her in the reflection of a mirror and smiles with a face that makes her want to cry.
Sadly for her, even that would be characteristic for the boy.
(Or: A dead woman is transported into a timeline that’s already primed for time travel, but it changes nothing in the face of the original body's hopes and dreams.)
