"Look at how they crawl around upon the ground like little ants." Alastor spat out. Disgusted filled his face as he watches some man push a colored female into a brick wall. He could feel his hand tighten around the knife that he was holding as he watched the scene.
"Yes but how they fascinate." A voice breaths out behind him.
It was one of those rare nights that Alastor was in the city doing a broadcast. He preferred to stay at his own but every once and a while he had to venture out here.
Usually during those times was when Alastor found more of his prey.
Brown eyes glanced at the male barely able to lean over his shoulder as he watches the scene with Alastor.
The blonde haired male hums. "Simply confusing fate with what is merely chance." He says taking a step away from Alastor and stepping forward into the glow that the window provided.
Soft jazz music filled the room as he watches those red eyes followed people on the streets below.
"Isn't it a laugh Lucifer?" Alastor aims his question back at the fallen angel. After all he was the reason why people like those monster could choose to live there lives so horribly.
Lucifer eyes narrows, glaring back at the other male. His hand grips on his cane just a bit tighter. His chin rising just a bit.
"Isn't it a shame Heartfelt?" Lucifer asked back. The only reason why Lucifer was here now was because of this twisted man summoning him months ago.
During that time he had learned so much. Being in hell he only ever was able to see the terrible things that his choices did. It had long made him depressed and wishing for something else.
But being here with Alastor had lit something small inside of him. It didn't burn bright but it was there. Just maybe...
Not wanting to think about it, his glaze looks out the wondow.
He places a hand on the window, drawing Alastor attention to the couple that he was looking at.
"Even while blaming fate for the lives that they lead they hope for the lives that they need." He whispers watching as the male grips onto his lover. He spins her around as the two drunkenly laugh. Her head falls back as they dance.
At one point, him and Lilith had been like that. So much had changed since then.
Alastor rolled his eyes at the statement. When he had summon the devil he had expected someone else... not this. But time and time again Lucifer had proven that he was truely the devil that people wrote about.
"Living every day till the day they die." Alastor says moving away from the window. He picks up a spare set of gloves that he had with him. 'In case of emergency' he always said when someone asked about them. "There never get the answers that there looking for."
Lucifer found himself jerking back from the window. His eyes narrowed at the human.
"Yet they still ask why." He could feel the anger boiling inside of him. "There still going through the motions as if there will be a reward at the end of it."
Hadn't he gotten himself punished for asking to many questions? Kicked out of heaven for wanting to let human choose for there selves?
By the smirk on Alastor face, it seems like he was finding this all amusing, more than anything.
"They're only human, love." Alastor says slipping on his gloves. "What are they to someone like you?"

Alastor stood outside on the balcony on the rebuilt Hazbin Hotel. It had only been a couple of days since Adam had attacked.
Alastor looks at the pride ring. His eyes slowly sliding across it till it finally ended on Vox tower. His fingers clicked against the railing.
"Isn't he a farce?" He asked himself. Vox says that he's so powerful and now look at him, hiding away and posting videos of his failures? Just who does he think he is?
"Isn't he a waste?" A smooth voice joins him. His back was leaning against the railing looking up at the sky. He had an apple in one hand that already had a bite taken out of it.
Alastor could feel his hand tighten around the railing but he lets out a breath. Not now.
He turns to look at the other male.
"Struggling to face what can never be faced, your highness?" Alastor asked watching as Lucifer takes another bite of his apple.
He watched as juice dribbles from the apple and down Lucifer chin. Many nights the two have ended up like this. Usually when Lucufer depression gets to hard to handle or one of them couldn't sleep for the night, plagued by the nightmares that chased them.
So instead they enjoyed the silent nights in each other company. Day by day that it happens, Alastor could say that he could tell what was usually bothering the king.
Something he was unsure of that Charlie was even able to do.
Lucifer doesn't speak for a moment. He pulls the apple away from his lips and looks at it. "Maybe 'death' can release something more than we share." He whispers into the air, his eyes moves back to the hotel with a sigh. He runs a hand through his hair before turning to look at the pride ring.
Alastor just rolls his eyes at how dramatic the other male was being. "I really don't know and don't care."
Both Lucifer and Charlie had taken it to heart when Sir Pentious died during the battle. But it seemed like they both had entirely different reason as to why.
Alastor moves away from the balcony and back into the hotel leaving Lucifer looking at the Pride ring.
"They're only human, after all." Lucifer says to himself. The apple in his hand slowly dropping to the ground. He didn't have the energy to pick it back up.

Husk fills a glass of whiskey and slides it over to Alastor before turning to make hard apple cider for the king.
The two of them was watching Charlie interact with the newest residents of the hotel. After the battle a stedy flow of people wanting to check the hotel out had slowly made their way in.
Alastor leans in close to the blonde. "There pray, curse, live, and die again. Never knowing their 'truth' is another man's lie." Alastor snickers as he takes a sip of his own drink. "So they push and they shove till they fall, isn't that right?"
Lucifer gives Alastor a side look before sitting a bit taller in the bar stool. He knew the last gab at his was to rile him up, it was an easy way for Lucifer to snap.
"Maybe so. But they still eat, sleep, love, and hate." Lucifer replies leaning into the others present. "Even as sinners there more complex then just living and dying. You should know that shouldn't you?" Lucifer let's out a small laugh already feeling the deep sigh that was coming from the other male.
"Watch them all vacillate." Alastor says with an eye roll.
Lucifer laughs a bit at his reply. Even with there relationship having grown over the years, starting from when Alastor was a human. He wouldn't say that he has grown softer, not at all really. But it was more like Lucifer could read the other better. Being able to see what Alastor truely meant.
The blonde haired male grabs ahold of Alastor hand, making sure to be careful, knowing that he was still very touch-adverse most days.
"I'm intrigued by their love." Lucifer says as he wraps his hand in with the other male. Even now, how could people find the best in such a shitty situration like hell. It made him curious. And hadn't that always been his down fall?
Humans were curious creatures to an angel. Even after all these years.
The fire that he had once thought lost was now burning brighter inside of him each day. It had only started as a small flicer years ago but being here with Alastor and Charlie and the rest of their small gang made it flow brighter.
Glancing up he could see the huge smile the other was giving him.
Carefully Alastor moves to grab ahold of a peice of paper in his jacket pocket removing his hand from Lucifers. He place the sheet of paper in the hand of the devil.
Alastor gave Lucifer enough time to read the paper before he leans back in to wisper into the others ear.
"So, let's call."
