Chloe Potter and the School of Magic

This is some random bullshit I wrote when I was 9 that my friend told me I should post (for shits and giggles ofc)

This is an OC-Centric "novel" fic.

Notes:

Uhh so.. I'm aware this isn't my usual cup of tea, nor is it something I would be caught dead writing now. But I was 9 and thought it was peak; I can't let this hide in my Google Docs forever.

Also, I have not edited this relic since I wrote it forever ago.

To everyone who reads my normal stuff, I promise this won't happen again.

To those who have never read my fics, don't get used to this. My page is so different from this.

Now that I've cleared the air, enjoy!

Chapter 1: The Letter

Our story starts with a girl living in Little Whinging. The girl’s name was Chloe Potter. One day, while she was collecting the mail, Chloe found a letter with her name on it.

“Mummy, Daddy! Come see this!” she yelled.

“Yes!” cried Chloe’s mum.

Chloe’s mum’s maiden name was Ginny Weasley. Following Ginny, was Chloe’s dad, Harry Potter.

“I got my letter from Hogwarts!” Chloe squealed.

“Let’s see your letter then.” said Harry. Her letter read: 

 

Dear miss Potter, 

We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted into Hogwarts School Of  Witch-craft and Wizardry. Inclosed in this envelope is a list of school supplies. You shall be at the train station on september the first, at platform 9 ¾. The train leaves at 11:00 .

Chloe squealed and ran to put her letter on the kitchen counter.

“Daddy, when can we go get my books?” she asked when she got back.

“Maybe tomorrow” responded Ginny.

Soon after, Chloe went to bed. She spent all night dreaming about what Hogwarts would look like, and what she would do there.

Chapter 2: Most Mysterious Travel

T he next morning, Chloe woke up extra early, because she just couldn't help herself! She was so excited!

When Chloe went into the kitchen,  she found her mum making a list of the book Chloe and her siblings needed. Chloe had three siblings: Lily Luna Potter, Albus Severus Potter and James Sirius Potter. James was the oldest and Albus and Chloe were older than Lily.

“Where is Albus, James and Lily?” mumbled Ginny to Chloe.

“I don't know, probably still in bed.” responded Chloe.

“Can you go check please? If they are, can you wake everyone up please, Chloe?”

Chloe stood up straight like a soldier. “Yes Ma’am!” she joked.

Then she went upstairs to wake everyone up. Once everyone was downstairs, Ginny started bustling around.

“Mommy, would you like me to make breakfast, you look kind of busy.” Lily asked politely.

“Oh, that would be lovely, dear. Just don't burn yourself.” responded Ginny.

After breakfast, Ginny grabbed a pot of a mysterious looking ash.

“What is that?” asked Chloe.

“It’s called Floo Powder.” responded Albus quietly.

“Let me do the explaining please, Albus. I was just as confused as she was when I saw it for the first time.” said Harry. Albus looked at his feet, embarrassed. Chloe took his hand, she knew he was just trying to help.

“This is Floo Powder.” said Harry, moving toward the fireplace.

“To use it, simply stand in the fireplace, sprinkle some Floo Powder in the ashes, and say where you want to go.” he explained.

“But say it very clearly, or you might end up in the wrong grate.” added Ginny.

“I’ll go first, shall I” said Harry, stepping into the fireplace. Chloe thought he looked kind of funny. He did exactly as he had explained.

“Diagon Alley!” he yelled. Green flames appeared, while Harry disappeared! The same thing happened with Ginny, Lily, and James.

“After you, sis!” said Albus, leading her gently to the fireplace. Chloe did the same as everyone else, with Albus coming up last.

Chapter 3: Chloe's Alleyway of Dreams

Summary:

Chloe and the family go to Diagon Alley to get Chloe's supplies.

Notes:

I will be uploading the whole fic +sequel at some point even though it's trash and every letter makes me want to vomit :3

“It’s amazing!” breathed Chloe.

“I know I am, but what are your thoughts on the alley.” joked James.

“James!” said Albus, gently elbowing him in the side.

“Come on, C, lets go get you a wand!” he added brightly, putting his arm around her, and leading her towards the wand shop.

“Albus?” said Chloe.

“Mmm?” he hummed in response.

“How am I going to pay? I haven't any money!” she asked.

“I’ll pay.” he declared.

Chloe hugged Albus. “Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!!” she exclaimed.

Chapter 4: So Many Wands!

Summary:

Chloe picks a wand. No, wait- The wand picks her?

Once they got to the wand shop, Albus rang the bell on the counter. A couple of minutes later, a girl with long, gold hair, came out, in the midst of putting it in a ponytail.

“Good morning, Miss Olivander.” said Albus.

“Good morning, Albus. Need a new wand?” she asked.

“No, my sister does, if you don't mind helping her, please.” Albus responded. “

You must be Chloe. Albus has told me you might be coming.” said Miss Olivander. Chloe nodded. “Let’s see what we can find!” Miss Olivander said brightly.

“Oak wood, whomping willow leaves, 9 inches.” Albus told Chloe how to wave it, and yet, nothing happened.

“Spruce wood, unicorn hair, 10 inches.”  Chloe gave it a wave, there was a moment of silence, but again, nothing happened.

Chloe tried many more wands, but all the same, nothing happened, until, “Whomping Willow bark, cenutaur hair, 11 inches.” Suddenly, blue flames shot from the tip of the wand. Chloe ducked, and Albus grabbed the wand before she could drop it. Suddenly the flames were gone.

“Sorry, I just got scared!” said Chloe.

“It’s okay, your not the first to do that. That will be 3 galleons please, Chloe.” said Miss Olivander.

“Oh, I'll be paying, Miss, we haven't stopped at Gringotts yet.” said Albus.

“Oh, such a good big brother.” said Miss Olivander. Chloe had spotted a picture.

“Miss Olivander, who’s that in the picture behind you?” asked Chloe.

“Oh, him?” said Miss Olivander, “that’s my grandfather, the original Mr Olivander. I’m his granddaughter, Jemma Olivander.” she said.

Chapter 5: Breakfast

Summary:

The family has breakfast before departing for the train station.

Unfortunately for Chloe, soon it was time to go home. While Chloe was kind of sad, she was also very excited, because the next morning, it was time to go to the train station. Albus had told Chloe that he would be in a compartment with his friends, as to not embarrass Chloe in front of her new friends. But if she needed to, she could come sit with him.

When Chloe went to bed, she got too excited to sleep! Eventually she tuckered herself out.

The next morning, Albus and Chloe packed and headed down the stairs to put their trunks in the back of the car. Albus told Chloe to go wake everyone up and they’d make breakfast, as a nice surprise. So Chloe ran upstairs to wake everyone, while Albus got everything out and ready. While Albus was cracking the eggs into the pan, Chloe led everyone into the kitchen, and Albus and Chloe yelled… “SURPRISE!!” 

“It no one’s birthday, guys.” said Harry.

“Why does it have to be someone’s birthday for us to make you a surprise breakfast?” said Albus, pretending to be hurt. Lily giggled. Then James, Albus, Chloe and Lily went up to get dressed. They dressed in pure Muggle attire, as to not raise any suspicions. Then they packed their trunks in the back of the car, and headed to the train station.

Chapter 6: The Train

Summary:

Chloe and her family head to the train station, finally!

Once they arrived at the train station, Ginny taught Chloe how to get onto platform 9 ¾ just like how Mrs. Weasley taught Ginny how to as well.

“Well, good bye, loves. Come home for Christmas!” said Ginny, giving James, Chloe, and Albus each a kiss on the head.

“Love you.” said Harry. Ginny elbowed Harry.

“Say it like you mean it!” she said.

“It’s okay, mum. He’s our father. Even if he doesn't show it, we know he loves us.” declared James. By this time, Lily ran up and whispered in Chloe’s ear.

“Oh, your right. Guys we must get on the train! It’s…” she said and pointed at the clock. The clock read:

 

10:58        

 

  

So everybody picked up their trunks, and headed onto the train. After everyone was seated, Chloe found an empty compartment.

Or so she thought.

Chapter 7: Friends!

Summary:

Apparently the compartment was not empty.

“Hello,” said a voice. It was coming from the corner. Suddenly the voice got closer. Chloe was so scared she didn’t even realise that the voice was sitting right across from her.

Chloe suddenly snapped back into reality.

The voice, in fact, was really a girl. The girl had long, curly brunette hair, tied back into a ponytail, and a slightly curious but happy look on her face.

“My name’s Carly Row! What’s yours?” the girl said. She was kind of soft-spoken, but Chloe could hear her just fine.

“My name is Chloe Potter.” Chloe responded. Carly was the first person Chloe had ever met who didn’t freak out about the fact that Chloe was a Potter. Carly and Chloe talked a lot about Hogwarts, as the trees and bushes went by.

“I think we should get changed into our robes.” Chloe said suddenly. Carly and Chloe were just getting changed when there was a knock on the door.

“I’ll get it!” said Carly. She slid open the door, and standing there was a girl. The girl had shoulder length, midnight black hair, and a pair of Hogwarts robes.

“My name is Shadow, Shadow Riddle.”

Carly was so scared, she went to take a step back, but tripped, fell over and knocked herself out cold.

Notes:

If you told 9 year old me that this "masterpiece" would be shared one day, they'd foam at the mouth and faint I think. Even if this is cringe for me, I'm like low-key healing my inner child right now lmao.

Chapter 8: Unexpected Matron Visit

Summary:

Whoopsies, gotta find a nurse or something.

Chloe ran to find her brother.

“Albus, Albus!” she cried when she found him.

“Do you know where the Matron is?” Chloe asked. She was speaking rather fast.

“Umm, yeah, I'll show you. Why?” he asked.

“My new friend Carly tripped and knocked herself out.” responded Chloe. Albus looked surprised.

Two minutes later, they reached the matrons compartment. Chloe knocked on the door. Seconds later, a woman slid open the door. The woman was a mirror image of Chloe, only, the woman was taller.

“Can I help you?” she said in a sweet and soft voice.

“Um, my friend tripped and hit her head.” said Albus.

“I can take you to her compartment.” volunteered Chloe.

“I am so sorry,” said the woman. “My name is Madam Loveheart.” she said. Once they reached the compartment, they found another little girl. The girl had horn rimmed glasses and brown hair, tied back in a sharp ponytail. “What’s your name? My name’s Albus Potter.” said Albus to the little girl.

“My name’s Rose Weasly-Granger. Did you know…” she started, but Albus interrupted. “Nice to meet you!” he said.

Chloe and Albus helped the Matron lift Carly on to one of the benches. After a couple of minutes the Matron said “She’ll come ‘round in a minute. Let me know if anything out of the ordinary happens.” and with that, she slid open the door and started walking back to her office.

After Madam Loveheart disappeared out of view, Carly woke up.

“What?” she mumbled.

“Carly!” exclaimed Rose.

Chloe sat back and looked out the window.
