Chapter Text
“You’re gonna pay, Deku,” Katsuki sneered as he stood over Izuku, explosions at the ready.
“Okay, okay, here you go.” He pulled out his All Might-branded wallet and presented it to his bully, earning him one of those ‘are you serious?’ looks.
“I meant I was gonna kick your ass.”
“Oh yeah, that makes more sense.”
With that misunderstanding cleared up, Katsuki pulled back an explosively charged fist to drive into Izuku’s gut, only to be held back at the last second.
“Stop right there,” commanded an unfamiliar voice. Katsuki turned his head to see a large crowd of people glaring at him with murderous intent.
“Holy crap! It’s literally everyone!” Izuku exclaimed. “Like, it’s every named character in the MHA canon, and even some of the unnamed ones.”
“Like me!” Said the girl with the wavy hair who sat next to Izuku in episode 1 of the anime.
“What the hell? What are you all doing here?” Katsuki demanded. “The series is called All It Takes Is One Good Friend! You’re breaking the rules!”
“To be fair, there have been chapters with more than two friends,” Masaru pointed out, with Mitsuki, Tokoyami, Dark Shadow, Gentle, and La Brava nodding alongside him.
“But why the hell are there so many of you? Does anybody even care whether or not Sasori Nimaru from Team-Up Missions gets her own chapter?”
“Well, you remember my name, so you clearly care on some level.”
“I’m reading it off the wiki.” Katsuki pulled up her page on his phone. “Oh shit, you’re the one who designs my future hero costume.”
“See? That makes me relevant… right?”
“Kacchan has a point though,” Izuku hummed thoughtfully. “With all these characters, there’s no way we’ll be able to give them all ample screen time.”
“But when else am I gonna get the spotlight?” Koichi from Vigilantes shoved his way to the front of the crowd. “The author hasn’t read the spin-offs, and I bet he’ll keep procrastinating on it.”
“I mean, he did a chapter on me,” Knuckleduster proudly admitted.
“Only because you won the character vote, and your chapter is like the author’s least favorite out of all of them.”
“Tch, whatever.” He acted like he didn’t care, when in reality he did.
“Wait, question.” Tsuyu got on Star & Stripe’s back and raised her hand high. “Why am I here if I already got a chapter?”
“You can get multiple chapters if your character has enough potential,” Mei explained, knowing from experience.
“Indeed,” agreed Nighteye.
“Hm,” Yui hummed in what could be interpreted as some form of foreshadowing.
“I call shenanigans!” Hawks protested. “I have plenty of potential and I haven’t even gotten one chapter.
“Same here,” said every member of the Todoroki family, sans Shoto.
“I think it also depends on how much the author enjoys writing you,” All for One clarified. “That’s why I pop up so often in chapters I have little prior involvement in.”
“Same here!” Shouted Rodi Crash from atop his fireworks truck, earning a look of ire from just about the entire crowd.
“Rodi, what are you doing here? You’re not an MHA character,” accused Izuku.
“W-what are you talking about? My truck is like the face of the entire fic. I do the sequel snippets! I have a place here.”
“Don’t care. I ain’t stickin’ around for All It Takes Is One Good Friend: OC Edition,” Katsuki scoffed at him. “God knows Crossover Edition was a big enough flop.”
“Remove the OC!” Shouted Tommy S. Gordon from Vigilantes, running the demon over with his train-like body.
“Okay, okay, okay…” Izuku tried to get everything back on track. “Are we actually going to do anything, or is everyone gonna keep complaining about not getting a chapter?”
“Oh yeah, sorry…” Inko apologized, shifting her attention back to Katsuki, along with everyone else.
The blond would never admit it, but he felt a shiver travel down his spine. “Maybe we can talk about this?”
Then everyone pounced on Katsuki and started beating him senseless.
Izuku just shrugged at the brutal violence before him. “Well, since every character has appeared, I guess that means the series is over… I miss it already.”
