The day started normal, well the new normal.
After Sinsmas and getting his Happy Pills, Stolas managed to get better, having fewer and fewer breakdowns each day/week and even laughing again. He did stop contacting Octavia, but only as to not push her, he was (semi-) confident she would reach out to him when she wants to.
Blitzø was delighted to see the change in the owl and showered him in praises and affirmations each day, if just to see the bird blush that adorable blush.
Loona got used to having Stolas around rather quickly, even including him in her evening chore of doing the dishes – which she usually did alone, but she seemed to notice that Stolas needed the routine.
M&M didn’t see much of Stolas up to one month after Sinsmas when he requested to go back to IMP and try to help out – answering calls, talking to walk-ins and doing and organising the paperwork, but they, too, got used to having him around quickly. They seemed to enjoy the life he brought with him on good days and supported him on the bad ones.
Today Loona was out at a party, so doing the dishes was Blitzø’s task, but he decided to also include Stolas in it, even if just to get close to him in the small kitchen.
And so here we are; Stolas and Blitzø washing and drying the dishes, almost totally in sync with each other; Stolas never taking the plate from Blitzø too fast or too slow, the imp never giving the owl a plate too early or too late to dry them.
It was almost sick-inducingly domestic.
Neither of them actually acknowledged the comfortable feeling around them aloud, but both felt oddly at peace doing something so simple together.
Blitzø might have enjoyed it a bit too much, now giving Loona the chore to take the laundry to get it washed and giving himself the chore to do the dishes.
And so it has become a new routine, Stolas and Blitzø washing and drying the dishes, sometimes switching up who does what, but always totally in sync with each other.
