Chapter 1: TESTACCOUNT

Chapter Text

…Hm. Something about this wasn't right.

Er. Well, a lot about it wasn't right. First of all, Test could feel multiple people in its head. People that it knew. They were all

in the same

body. Talking over each other, all thinking the same thing.

Huh.

Second of all, where were they. It really just looked like an endless expanse of studs with no other features except the spawnpoint they had woken up on.

…Test would worry about that later. For now, to try to figure out who was in its head. It laid down on the ground, staring up at the default skybox. Hm. QA was the most vocal one, it looked like. BadDecisions was also there, and… Glasshouses? And then it, Test. It decided to call them as a collective ‘Test’ as well, since they WERE in its body.

They sat up suddenly, staring ahead. What. Who was that? It looked like there was a humanoid figure in the distance. They squinted…

…! 1x1x1x1…?! Ah! It had been forever!!! Test stood up, staggering a bit before walking (er, skipping) over to him. “1x1!”

“--?!” 1x1x1x1 quickly turned around, unsheathing one of its swords and pointing it at Test… who just smiled. “.....”

“Hi!” Test greeted, taking the sword and shaking it as if it was an extended hand. The blade cut into their palm. “It's been so—”

“Why are you here,” 1x1x1x1 spoke slowly, pulling the sword back but keeping it gripped tightly in her hand.

“That's what we've been wondering!” Test chuckled, clasping their hands together and ignoring the stinging of their fresh cut. “Do you know?”

“....We. There's more of you?” 1x1x1x1 discreetly looked behind Test for any others, but saw nothing.

“Yes!” Test pointed to their head. “In here!”

“...I see.” 1x1x1x1’s expression was that of disgust, judgement, and slight concern; Test couldn't see that, though. “You're going to help me, then.”

“Huhhh..?”

“Though I despise to work with three-dimensional filth, you are test accounts, no?” 1x1x1x1 asked, finally sheathing her sword yet again. Test nodded.

“That's our name!”

“Is it. Test, then. You will help me find and slaughter the admin formerly known as Telamon. Do you understand?”

Test waited a few moments, processing the information. This was all a lot to take in for people who had just woken up after their termination! Besides, what did Telamon even do? Whatever! “Okay! Can do!”

“Perfect. When Telamon is finally destroyed, I will finally know peace. I will be king, and you my first subject.”

“Subjects,” Test corrected. This all sounded very strange, but who cares?! 1x1x1x1 would be their new bestie!!!!!

“Huh…? Yeah, sure, whatever.” 1x1x1x1 waved a hand dismissively. “Now follow me. We will leave the Baseplate for Yorick's Resting Place. That is where he has been seen last. You will watch me, first. Then you will kill him and everyone he associates with.”

“You got it, boss!!”

…

After a few rounds of observing 1x1x1x1, it was finally Test's turn! In Brandonworks’ Place, now. They had all their cool attacks planned out, all their cool one-liners… it was perfect, really! Now to just…

—?!

Is that Builderman?

Something in Test's head snapped. Everything was silent for the first time since they had woken up, only one thought cutting through it–kill. They grabbed their trowel out of their hat, gripping it tightly as they beelined for him.

Hate. HATE. Hatehatehatehatehatehate. Something PRIMAL inside of them was activated at the sight of that man. They could taste copper, smell burnt hair, feel themselves rotting. Writhing. Running didn't get Builderman far; Test used their trowel to build a wall right in front of him, cutting him with it in the process.

Builderman paused for just a moment, watching the bricks be laid from nowhere before turning and trying to run in the opposite direction.

WHAT? DON'T WANNA PLAY ANYMORE?” Test mocked, turning and staring at him as he ran. They quickly followed, intending to get him back get him backgethimback– “COME ON!! WE JUST WANNA PLAY A GAME WITH YOU!!”

He's cornered.

Test approached slowly, relishing in the look of pure terror on Builderman’s face. Surely, this is how he felt, no? They grabbed him by the collar of his shirt, holding him up. He didn't even try to struggle as they used their free hand to pummel him! They could have sworn that through their haze, they heard a small ‘test?’

The thought, though, was absurd. Why would someone like him remember someone like them? Someone that he ruined? They threw him to the ground.

They stared at the corpse below them, kicking it once before taking a bottle out of their hat; a body swap potion! What else..? They downed it in one swig, coughing violently as they felt their body start to change. They threw the empty bottle on the ground, shattering it. The corpse they saw was now their own, and they made their way to find the others. They only had a short amount of time, after all.

Elliot was the first they found, but that wasn't who they were looking for. They could deal with him later. Carry on. They saw Chance in the distance. Taph was staring at them. Did he know? No, surely not. Keep an eye on him. Where oh where could–

—!!!

Test spotted Telamon–Sorry, Shedletsky now–in the distance. They picked up their pace, heading straight towards him

“-Builder! What's wrong? Did the killer–?!?” Before he could finish speaking, Test hit him. the same pattern of left-hook, right-hook, left-hook… “OW? BUILDERMAN, WHAT ARE YOU–” Shedletsky pulled out his sword, slashing Test across the chest. Around the same time, the potion wore out, meaning they no longer looked like Builderman, Shame

“UAGH–!! NO FAIR, NO FAIR!!” Test screamed, covering where they had been struck. It took a few seconds for them to be able to walk again, Luckily, they'd been keeping an eye on him! Yippee!

They started pursuit again, but their heart wasn't really in it. Aww. “SHEDLETSKY!! STOP!!! COME BACK COME BACK COME BACK!!!!!” They called, pausing briefly to catch their breath. “HOLD ON! COME BACK!”

That, uh, obviously didn't work. They groaned, starting chase again while looking around for where he possibly could have gone. “SHEEEDLEEEETSKY!!! Come out come out wherever you are!!”

They were running out of time. They frantically searched for him, but to no avail. They didn't even find any other survivors!!!

10 seconds.

They sat down, picking up a flower and holding it over their head. They weren't finding anyone else in 10 seconds.

1x1x1x1 was gonna be SO disappointed in them.

Chapter Text

Another day, another round coming to a close. Taph relaxed marginally as he came back into consciousness on the floor of the cabin. He blinked a few times, looking next to him andOH WHAT THE ####--- ah, nevermind, it's just Two Time.

W-Wait. Two Time?! They're staring directly at him, and they're so close… Taph felt his face heat up and he quickly looked away. He hated to admit it to himself, but Taph had a HUGE crush on them… and this wasn't helping. I mean, it seemed too good to be true! Two Time, looking at him with that piercing stare and practically breathing down his neck–

“Taph.”

“---⁉️⁉️” Taph flinched, head whipping back around to face Two Time. He took a deep breath before slowly responding. “...2🕑… 👋…❓”

“...” Two Time leaned closer to Taph, tilting their head slightly. “Why are you sitting on the floor, Taph? Everyone else has long since left, even fled the cabin itself. All but you. Why?”

…Taph was unconscious from being transported out of the match, that's why. Did… Did that mean that Two Time had been watching them for an undisclosed amount of time..?! He waved his hands dismissively before segwaying into his explanation. “😅❗❗ 💣💥➡️😴😴❗ … 🫵👁👁… 💣💥❓”

“Was I watching you?” Two Time asked, snickering once Taph nodded frantically. “Hehe. I was. Is that so wrong? I was just making sure you– Oh!” They seemed to come to a realization, standing up and looking down at Taph. He was glad that his hood completely covered his face because goodness would it have been red. He slowly raised his hand to wave at Two Time.

“Hello, Taph,” they grinned, extending a hand. Taph took it, and was pulled up in one motion; he staggered forward, catching himself with Two Time's torso before jumping back and putting his hands up in surrender. “Ah, no need for that! You can touch me if you'd like…”

Taph didn't really like Two Time’s intonation with that. He shook his head violently. “❌❌❌‼️‼️” He insisted. “😅❌👉2🕑–”

Two Time grabbed Taph's hands, stopping short his frantic explanation on how it wasn't what it seemed like. Slowly, one of their own hands moved up to his hood and started to pull it back before Taph stopped them. “Hm..?”

“‼️‼️‼️💣💥👨‍🦲➡️👎👎,” Taph admitted. Two Time only laughed. He frowned.

“I'll close my eyes.”

Saying Taph was confused would be an understatement. Why would Two Time want to take off his hood if not to see his face? Were they making fun of him? Besides, even if they DID close their eyes, the others could come back into the cabin at any moment! But Two Time was so close to them and Taph just registered that they were touching his face and wrist now and he could very well have died of a heart attack right there. After a pause, he nodded. Possibly sensing his hesitation, Two Time turned Taph so that their body was blocking them from the door. ####. Taph held their breath, watching closely as Two Time closed their eyes and pulled off his hood. He shuddered at the feeling of being so vulnerable for the first time in a long while. Taph stared at Two Time for a while, taking in their grin and the shape of their face and how they leaned in to–oh.

Taph's eyes widened as he felt Two Time's lips press against his, instinctively pulling back and covering his mouth. He looked up at Two Time, who was still grinning, head tilted to the side. Their eyes were still shut, at least. “What's wrong?” Two Time asked, voice taking somewhat of a higher pitch. “Scared? Nothing bad will happen!”

Two Time couldn't have missed the point more, Taph would have bet. He has to tell Builderman about this later. Did… did Two Time really just kiss him? Out of NOWHERE?! Now it REALLY felt too good to be true! It took a while for Taph to steel himself, but once he did, he pulled Two Time down to face-level and kissed him back. The way Two Time gasped gave him a powerful feeling that he hadn't realized that he'd missed until then. He wanted more of that. Two Time broke the kiss to place smaller ones along his jawline. He pulled down Taph's bandana, then, and trailed down to his neck. Taph shuddered, biting the inside of his mouth to suppress whatever embarrassing noise would have escaped him. After a while of that, Two Time moved back to hungrily kiss Taph's lips for a few seconds, but pulled away before he even had time to react.

“Put your hood back on. I want to look at you,” Two Time spoke. Taph nodded, though Two Time couldn't see it, happy to finally put his hood back up. He readjusted his bandana, too, while he was at it; and placed a hand on Two Time's arm to indicate this. Finally, they opened their eyes, and looking down at Taph their grin only widened. They clasped their hands together, murmuring something (probably a prayer) under their breath. “Goodness, Taph… You make me want to…” they trailed off. “Well. Not now.”

####...

“...2🕑…💣💥…👬💏❓” Taph asked, movements slow and hesitant. This was going to make things a lot more difficult. Especially during rounds.

“....Maybe!” Two Time answered. “I'll leave that with you! Spawn bless your path!” Just like that, Two Time bowed slightly and walked off to do who-knows-what. Taph exhaled, trying to calm himself down from that…

…experience.

What the ####.

Notes:

btw in the next round the killer targeted them because it was a homophobic 1x
