Chapter Text
The last thing he does before he goes to sleep is save Charles` number.
A few days later, Oscar wakes up early, which is something that he is not used to. He loves to sleep, but anxiety wakes him up. He sits on his bed, looking around in confusion. Before doing anything else, he reaches for his phone and checks if he has any new messages, and yes, there is a message from Lando. Hey mate, Lily`s tonight at 9 pm? He looks at the message for quite some time before he answers in agreement. He needs a distraction from school.
He gets out of bed and runs a quick shower. Today is Saturday, which means he doesn't have to go to school, but he still has some work he needs to do. After breakfast, he takes out his laptop and looks at what he needs to get done for school. There are some essays that he should write, because they are due next week. He works on them for about an hour before he takes a break and scrolls through Instagram. Before he realizes it`s lunchtime.
Time passes quickly. After eating, he clears the dishes and concentrates on his schoolwork for a while, when suddenly his phone starts ringing. Lando. Oscar picked up the phone and talked with his friend for some time before they agreed to meet up now and chill together for a while before they head up to the club.
"Hey, mate, I know I came quite early, but I was kinda bored." Lando shrugs his shoulders when he steps inside of Oscar`s room and lies down on Oscar`s bed. A younger boy just rolls his eyes and turns around to his wardrobe. "It`s ok, at least you can help me choose what I should wear," he answers and starts to pick up the clothes that he had in mind.
He shows the options to Lando, and he seems to think for a moment before pointing at the black jeans and white sweatshirt. Oscar just nods before he puts the other clothes back. "Isn`t that like too basic?" He asks his friend with raised eyebrows, but before the answer, he just starts to undress himself in underwear and put on the chosen clothes.
When he is finessed, he does the spin and with a smirk says: "Do I look good?" Lando, instead of answering, just takes Oscar`s pillow and throws it at him. They have a little pillow fight, which ends in laughter.
They took a taxi to the Jimmy`z club, because walking was not an option for Lando, which made Oscar roll his eyes, that boy was something else sometimes. The club is already full of people, and the music is playing quite loudly.
"Would you like something to drink first, and then we can go dancing?" Lando gives Oscar an option, before he waits for his answer, he is already on his way to the bar, which is in the middle of the club. He returns in like ten minutes with two drinks in his hand and hands one of them to the younger boy. "Cheers!" he shouts and takes a huge sip of his drink. Oscar does the same, just a little bit less than Lando, he does not want to get wasted, because he has some work that he needs to do tomorrow. The taste of alcohol makes his face turn into a grimace. He is not a big fan of alcohol.
After a few drinks, Oscar`s world starts to spin. He tries his best to manage it somehow, but he starts to feel sick. He turns to Lando and tells him he needs to go to the bathroom. They agree on meeting outside of them, when Oscar is done. He runs to them because he feels like he will vomit soon, and yes, in fact, he does. He barely has time to close the cabin door before he falls to his knees in front of the toilet and starts vomiting. His head spins, and waves of heat wash over him.
When it gets a little bit better, he takes a phone out of his pocket and dials Lando`s number. The phone rings a few times before he hears the voice on the other side of the line.
"Hello, Charles Leclerc, who am I speaking to?" It seems like Oscar did not even catch the words, because he doesn`t answer the question and starts mumbling on the phone. "Lando, where are you? Could you please come to the bathroom? I am not feeling well, I think somebody threw something in my drink..." He mumbles quietly and with a lot of effort. There is a quiet for a few seconds before the voice on the other side answers. "Oscar? Is that you?" Oscar would start laughing if he weren't feeling like he would pass out any minute. "Lando, stop playing I am in the batroom, and I feel like shit..." He says slowly and tries to concentrate on every word. He hears some quiet mumbling and then another question. "Where are you, Oscar?" Which makes him angry, like why his friend wasn't listening to him, when he said he was going to the bathroom?! "I`m in the club, mate, where are you??" He says like it's the most obvious thing in the world. Hey, Lando, we came here together, you remember?
"Jimmy 'z of Lily`s?" Another crazy question, why doesn't he just come to the bathroom like it isn`t that hard? His head spins, and he has to put the phone on the floor next to him before another wave of sickness washes over him and he empties his stomach in the toilet again. With the trembling hand, he picks the phone back up and puts it to his ear, before he says again. "Where are you, mate?"
"I am on the way, Oscar. Could you tell me where exactly you are? Jimmy 'z or Lily`s?" Oscar quietly breathes out the answer, and he tries to get up from the floor, his phone still to his ear. His legs are shaking and his head hurts, and his vision is slightly blurred. He holds on to the door frame, so he doesn't fall on the ground.
"Lily`s," he breathed out and slid down to the ground and closed his eyes...
Maybe he falls asleep or passes out for a moment, but what wakes him up is someone`s arms picking him up and trying to stand him up, before he hears someone else talking. "Wait, Charlie, I will take him." He hears and feels some arms picking him up. The last thing he hears before he falls asleep in someone`s arms is a discussion about where to take him, whether to the hospital or home. The end of the talk is a mystery to him.
When Oscar opens his eyes, he is very confused and feels the panic kicking in. Where the heck am I? Goes through his head as he looks around. The last thing he remembers from yesterday is that he felt sick and ran to the bathroom, and then nothing.
He slowly stepped out of the white sheets and looked around the room. Yep, not his room. He looked down, and he was just in his boxers and not even his white shirt?! Before he can make an escape plan from this place, which he doesn't even know where it is located, a little knock on the door drags him out of his thoughts.
"Yeah?" He answers more like a question than anything else, and his eyes are now locked on the door. Brow hair appears at the gap of the door, and before he can say anything, he recognizes Charles, whom he called yesterday. He must bite his lip to hold back a groan. He was drugged or drunk and he called Charles, fuck.
"Good morning, Oscar, how are you feeling?" Says the older boy easily before he slips into the room with a water in his hand. Oscar follows his every move as Charles makes his way to the bed, where Oscar lies, and stands in front of it.
The boy remains silent for a moment, as if he is truly considering his feelings. After a few moments, he calmly answers. "Yeah, nothing much. My head hurts like hell, and I don't remember much from yesterday, so I'm confused right now. But other than that, I feel okay, I think," he says truthfully, and shoots a look at Charles.
The standing boy nods with a small, soft smile and calms Oscar down. "Yeah, you called me because you thought I was someone else, and we came to pick you up from the club because you seemed like you could use some help." Charles's response to the unspoken question and hand the breakfast to Oscar. The Australian takes it with a quiet thanks and starts to eat it.
"I also got you some clean clothes, before we wash yours, so when you're done eating, you can take a shower," he points at the closed door in the room and then continues talking, "come to me and Max to the living room if you feel like it." Charles offers Oscar and scratches his neck. Then he stares at the door for a bit before slowly getting up and walking past Charles to the bathroom door. As he disappears inside, he turns to Charles and says, "Thank you for everything. I'm sorry that I've been a trouble to you." Before he can hear any answers, he shuts the door.
He lets hot water wash away his bad feelings about this all and feels his body relax under the shower. He stops it and takes a bottle of soap that is in here and washes himself with it. The soap smells nice, like a forest. It takes him some time before he feels clean and brave enough to step out of the shower. He quickly dries himself and puts on the clothes that Charles probably prepared for him, and puts in on the bed, while he was washing himself. It`s quite too big for him and makes him almost disappear in it, but he feels comfortable - well, how much he can in a stranger's home, right? He quickly checks himself in the mirror and takes a few deep breaths before he puts his hand on the door handle and exits the room.
He is kinda confused about where he should go. Still, then he hears a laugh from some room, so he follows the sound, and before he can fully acknowledge where he is going he stands in the doors of the kitchen. He sees Charles` back as he cooks something, and some other guy who is sitting by the table tells something to Charles and the other boy responds with a laugh and then bends to the sitting boy and kisses him. Slowly and deeply. Oscar feels his cheeks turning hot. He wants to back out of the kitchen, but he is clumsy because, as he backs out, he almost falls over his own feet.
Charles ends the kiss, and he turns around when he sees Oscar. He makes his way to the younger boy. "Oscar, you are here. We started to get worried about whether you were feeling okay." Says Charles and brushes Oscar`s hair out of his face. As he touches him, Oscar shivers. Oh God, Oscar, you should keep calm. You are like some stupid virgin! He thinks to himself and almost rolls his eyes.
"Would you like some fresh orange juice? I just made it. " Charles asks and gives the younger boy a soft smile. An Australian boy just nods and takes a glass of orange juice from Charles` hands with a quiet thanks.
Its refreshing taste, so he drinks almost half of it in one go. When half of the glass is done, he puts it down on the table and sits opposite of other boy. All three of them are in silence for some time, and when he hears Charles' voice, it makes him jump a little bit. "Max, could you please stop working for a moment? It`s quite rude to our guest."
Max, it quite suits him, Oscar thinks with a half smile, openly checks the other boy out. Yep, they are a good-looking couple. The other boy, Max, just sings and closes his laptop and sets it aside. "Sure, love." He says quickly and gives Charles half half-sweet half half-ironic smile. Monequnes just playfully taps his shoulders and shakes his head as he turns his attention to Oscar.
"Sit, and I will pour you another glass of that juice," Charles instructs Oscar, and he does as he`s told almost immediately, which creates a smirk on the other boy's face. He whispers something to himself and gives a little nod if it`s directed to Oscar or just to himself - who knows?
Before he can fully acknowledge it, all three of them are sitting by the table and eating in silence. Oscar is taking another pancake to his plate when finally one ot them starts to talk, and to Oscar`s surprise, it`s Max this time.
"So, Oscar," He begins to talk, and his blue eyes meet with brown ones as he continues to speak, "I get that you and Charlie met at the Art School?"
Oscar shoots his look at the named boy and scratches the back of his neck, before he turns his attention back to Max, and answers shyly: "Yeah, actually we did, in the restroom..." he trails off. Then he laughs in a straggled tone, "Well, this came out worse than in my head." He shakes his head and looks at the food, before he tries to explain it again: "I was stressed in the restroom, and Charles came by and comforted me?" He puts out more like a question, but was he asking Max, Charles, or himself?
Charles reaches out to him and places his hand on top of his. Oscar follows the move and holds his breath for a few seconds before he continues talking: "So I was really in some shit and he gave me a comfort and also his number, wich I did not mean to use last nigh I swear it was an accident." He says apologetically to Charles, and he just waves it off with his other hand. "It doesn't matter, I am glad you called, I don`t think you could handle it by yourself yesterday, you seemed pretty out of it." He says easily, as they didn't just take a stranger into their home.
Max just nods and then looks somewhere behind Oscar, before he asks him directly: "Are you in a rush? We could watch a movie and chat a bit, but no pressure, mate. If you need to go, we won`t keep you hostage." He laughs, and it does something with Oscrar`s brain. It almost feels like it melts in a little bit, and that sound sits in the back of his head, like it would stay there forever.
They move to the living room, and Max sits on one side of the sofa, holding a remote control in his hand. Charles sits next to Max, which leaves Oscar on the other side of the couch, a few inches from Charles, their things almost touching. If only Oscar were brave enough to move his leg a little bit in Charles' direction, their knees would touch, but he couldn`t do it right.
They put on a movie, which Oscar is not paying attention to because on the one side he has the most beautiful boy he has ever seen, and on the other side is Max with his aura and really smart mouth, which makes him laugh so hard he is almost crying.
He could get used to this.
