Chapter Text
“Padawan, it’s time to get up,” spoke softly from the auburn-haired, newly Knighted Jedi Master, Obi-wan Kenobi, to his newly acquired apprentice, Anakin Skywalker, lying snuggly in his bed. The Padawan in question grumbled; the elder man didn’t want to wake the poor boy but they have to make daily routine habits now that Anakin is living under his care.
“It’s lesson time, Anakin,” said Obi-wan in a sing-song voice.
“Not now, Master,” mumbled Anakin as he curled up further into the bed.
WHOOSH!
Obi-wan swiftly removed the blankets on top of his young Padawan in fell swoop, leaving Anakin to broadcast a frowny expression on his tanned facial features and glaring azure irises towards the elder man.
“Master, no lesson time today. I want to go back to sleep,” yawned Anakin as he smoothed his eyes awake with his small hand.
“First lesson is early to bed, early to rise. We need to get started with the day, my young Padawan,” stated Obi-wan as he guided his still sleepy apprentice to the fresher.
“Alright Master, but may you please teach me how to swim this week? I don’t want the other Padawans finding out I can’t swim because of my…,” pleaded the younger before he stopped mid-sentence, remembering his slave past.
The elder man sensed where his student’s mind was going to through both of his demeanor and their bond, so he immediately ceased the crestfallen emotions by lifting his Padawan up into his arms, hugging him on impact.
“Dear one, you are free now. Just like I stated I was going to train you, that means training you in everything, including things you never got the chance to learn or experience because of your past,” declared Obi-wan which made the younger tear up slightly from the dedication of the young man who was thrusted to train him after his own Master, Master Qui-gon, perished from a Sith.
“Thank you Master,” mouthed Anakin as he embraced his Master back with equal devotion and cherishment.
“Now, let’s go do our daily bathroom routines,” cheekily said Obi-wan while carrying his Padawan towards the fresher.
“Copy that Master,” replied the younger with a cheery smile upon his face.
