Chapter 1: Prologue
Chapter Text
The two executives were called into Mori’s office in order to discuss their next mission.
“As you two might have heard, heroes have been getting more and more persistent with their intent of getting into Yokohama,” Mori spoke with a straight face.
“Okay, and?” Dazai said in an annoyed tone, “What does this have to do with us?”
“Oi! Show more respect to the boss!” Chuuya practically yelled across the room.
“It’s quite alright Chuuya, and to answer your question Dazai, it has everything to do with you. Now here’s what you must do.” This time Mori had a sly smirk on his face.
____________
Aizawa stood there, just looking at the wall separating Yokohama from the rest of Japan. It wouldn’t be soon before heroes found a way to take over this quirkless city. Even though it was said that Yokohama was, in fact, run by villains, it still somehow felt off to the pro hero. Something wasn’t right with what the Hero Commission taught about Yokohama, but then again what would he know, he’s never even step foot inside of the city. No one who went in ever came out.
Just as he turned to walk away, he heard screaming coming from behind him.
“Please help us!” A small boy with orange hair yelled as he dragged an unconscious body on his shoulders.
The boy himself looked malnourished and very tired while the teenager he was carrying was covered in bandages now stained red.
“Are you two alright?” Eraserhead asked as he attempted to take the limp body off the smaller one’s shoulders.
“We’ve escaped Yokohama,” the redhead spoke almost robotically, “Are you a hero? Please help my friend.”
“Yes, I’m the pro hero Eraserhead,” Eraserhead didn’t miss the way the small teen rolled his eyes as he introduced himself while, at the same time, he moved farther away keeping his friend on his back.
As the hero further inspected the two teenagers, he noticed they looked to be the same age as most of his students, however their slim frame told him that they were severely underweight and the one with bandages looked especially frail.
“I’m sure I can take you two to UA to get taken care of by our healer,” the hero continued to speak despite it seeming like this was about to become a very one sided conversation. He then spoke into what looked like some sort of walking talky announcing that zone 53 A, whatever that meant, would be needing backup.
He then turned, inviting the two to join him and began to walk away from the wall.

Chapter Text
The plan had actually worked, Dazai was surprised the slug hadn’t found a way to mess up such a simple task.
Now both of the mafiosos sat at the back of UA’s small clinic with their injuries taken care of by a small old lady, who had tried to kiss Dazai several times already making him very uncomfortable.
“Chuuuuuuuuuuuuuuya~” Dazai bated his eyes in an innocent manner.
“What now shitty mackerel?” Chuuya asked with an angry look in his face.
“Where are we?” Dazai spoke, aware of the fact that Recovery Girl was listening, he added more squeak into his voice, “Are we still in Yokohama, did we get caught?”
Now Chuuya had caught on, so he put on his award-winning, comforting smile as he said, “No Dazai, we made it out.”
The slug’s smile might have fooled somebody who didn’t know him as well as Dazai did, but he could see the slight strain that was put into the forced smile.
Just as Dazai was about to continue speaking, a pro hero wearing black clothes and a horrendously long gray scarf, quickly followed by a loud blonde with a terrible haircut barged in.
The blonde took the lead introducing himself as Present Mic, a teacher at UA, as he began to explain how they would be living at the school for wannabe heroes.
“You two will be under UA supervision at all times in order to protect you in case of invasion from Yokohama. You will be taking classes similar to the other kids your age, but you will be living in the class 1A dorms alongside our hero course students. Of course if you wish to join the heroics program I’m sure Nezu would make an acceptance for a late application, in your case.” The hero was practically yelling this, so Dazai wouldn’t be surprised if the entire school knew about their situation.
Suddenly the black haired hero jumped in, “You two should be focused on resting right now so we’ll stop bugging you about school. We were really here to see Recovery Girl, so if you would excuse us.” The man began to walk past their cots on his way to the healer’s office.
“S-shouta! Wait up!!!” The blond shouted as he ran after him.
______________
“Dazai, the brown haired one, was covered with scars, across his arms, legs, and neck,” Recovery Girl began with concerned look on her face, “some are definitely self-inflicted while others were cut with such precision, it’s hard to believe he would have been able to make the incision himself.”
Dazai definitely wasn’t much older than any of Aizawa’s students, and just imagining any of them like this made his heart sink. Just the thought of one of his problem children wanting to end it all so young or feel the need to hurt themselves. “I will be sure to take care of him, and I will have both of them, put into my class for closer supervision.” Usually Aizawa was a pretty nonchalant guy but when it came to a student, a child, it made his blood boil knowing that someone so vile would hurt a little kid.
“That is so terrible! I feel so sorry for that little listener,” Hizashi added.
“I have also been told that they aren’t quirk users, but ability users?” Recovery Girl questioned.
“Right, Nezu has informed us of something special to Yokohama, ability users possess supernatural powers, similar to quirks, but they are not passed down through genetics and seem to have few to no drawbacks. Abilities also tend to be more powerful than quirks though I’m not sure why.” Aizawa, still not sure about ability users himself, tried to explain.
“Yes, that is what we came here to talk to you about, obviously we were also going to ask how the little listeners were, but we also wanted to see if you had any idea if the two had abilities. Though I guess we could just ask ourselves since they are already awake,” Hizashi chuckled a bit at the end, trying to lighten the mood in any way that he could.
“Of course,” Recovery Girl began to speak again, “I believe that Dazai has some sort of nullification ability, unlike Aizawa’s however, it is activated through touch and can’t be disabled. Although, I’m not sure what Chuuya’s qui-er ability is.”
“Hah, Shouta, it’s like a mini you!” All Hizashi received in return for that joke was a scowl.
_______________
Chuuya sat beside Dazai, now in the principal’s office, surrounded by what must be the teachers (all dressed in what looks like clown costumes).
“I have a proposition for the two of you,” the white mouse-bear thing broke the loud silence, “I will allow for both of you to join the hero course in exchange for information on Yokohama.”
At this Chuuya couldn’t help role his eyes because obviously they weren’t go-
“Sure!” Dazai said while smiling from ear to ear, “The underground of Yokohama is run by the Port Mafia, while there are other organizations this is the one with the most power! It’s also who Chuuya and I were running from when we came here, you see, life can be very hard when you are a strong ability user without an organization.” The last sentence was spoked shakily almost even fooling Chuuya until he remember it was the Demon Prodigy he was talking about.
“Are there any people in the mafia who we should be especially weary of?” The mouse (which Chuuya assumed was the principal) asked again.
Now it was Chuuya’s turn to have fun, “Oh yes, there are two feared ability users who are known as Double Black, they are also probably the people who took out the heroes you sent to infiltrate before.” He made sure to exaggerate the ‘yes’ and ‘feared’ while he spoke for dramatic’s sake.
“Ah I see, one last thing, I must have to ask, what are your abilities?” The principal asked once more, geez can’t this guy let anyone else talk?
“Well, my ability is soooooooo dangerous it’s known as ‘No Longer Human’ it can literally-“ Dazai was cut off abruptly.
“The waste of bandages means to say that his ability is nullification and mine is named ‘Upon the Tainted Sorrow’ ; it’s gravity control,” Chuuya was getting a bit fed up with his partner’s antics.
“Ugh dumb Chibi never lets me have any fun~”
“Whatever”
“Well then, you will be staying in the 1A dorms as you might have heard so Eraserhead will escort you!” The rat had barely finished his sentence when Eraserhead started moving for the door.
___________
Eraserhead showed the two, rather large, form room to Dazai and the slug.
“Ah thank you Eraserhead for being such a lovely escort and preventing this stupid slug from attacking me on our walk over here,” Dazai smirked.
“Why you-“
“That’s quite enough, anyways I have to go and teach a class to your future classmates, and you can call me Mr. Aizawa, no need to use my hero name.” Eraserhead spoke while turning towards the door.
“Tch, whatever old man,” chibi mumbled.
“Ahh stupid Chibi don’t you know it’s rude to call people mean names when their back is turned?”
“What are you, a mental case?!”
Eraserhead didn’t seem to care about the name calling or fighting, he just sighed and continued for the door.
“I’ll give you the rest of the day to settle in, but just know, your class can be a lot to deal with,” Eraserhead looked extra tired just talking about his class. Yeesh, were they really that bad.

Chapter Text
Aizawa now stood in front of class 1A.
“What do you guys know about the city of Yokohama?” He asked after a few moments of silence.
“It’s a place closed off from the rest of the Japan ruled by shitty villains,” Bakugo responded in his usual annoyed tone.
“It’s also said that everyone in the city is,” Midoriya swallowed before continuing, “quirkless.”
“Right, and this has everything to do with you,” Aizawa spoke again, “because we recently rescued two boys from Yokohama’s grasp and they will be your new classmates.” After finishing his sentence, he pulled out his bright yellow sleeping bag about to start a nap when-
“WHAT!?!” The whole class yelled in unison.
“Two Yokohaman boys, around your age, were rescued by pro heroes, and in order to keep them safe, they will be joining your class.”
“How do we know they aren’t stupid villains?”
“As I said, we rescued them, meaning they were being targeted by the main group running Yokohama, so I doubt they are villains. However, if any of you see any suspicious behavior, you must report it to me immediately.” Before returning to his sleeping bag he quickly added, “They have also, already, moved into your dorms and will be there when you go back after school, so please play nice.”
“HUH!?” The class were really in sinc today.
___________
“Even though I know they aren’t villains, it feels weird knowing that two kids from such a closed off city are just going to be living with us now, I don’t know, does that make me a bad person?”
“It’s okay to feel that way Deku-kun, honestly I feel the same way,” Uraraka comforted, “I mean, all we’ve been aught is that Yokohama is bad and we should never go there so it’s kind of hard to change our views so quickly.”
“Yeah, I guess you’re right, come on let’s go get lunch and meet with the others.”
___________
“Chuuuuuuya? How long have they been standing out there?”
“Ugh, at least twenty minutes, they are hero students, you would think they would have grown some balls by now. But I guess not,” the slug added as he watched as someone was about to open the door but then chickened out at the last moment.
“Well they should probably-“
“MOVE OUT OF THE WAY EXTRAS!” Was shouted from behind the front door, before Chuuya and Dazai could move a teenager with blond hair and angry red eyes barged into the dorms with a loud bang.
“Bakugo, you should really learn to use the handle of the door more, it’s much more convenient,” a nerd with blue hair and glasses scolded while moving his hand in a slicing motion, what a freak.
“Tch, whatever.”
“Ohhhhhhhh Chuuuuuuuuya~, he’s like a taller, blonder version of you,” Dazai said with a playful grin.
“Lay off about my size jackass!”
The entire class seemed not to have noticed their presence until now because it had all gone quiet and everyone froze in place, feet glued to the floor.
“H-hello, my name is Tenya Iida, the class president, and you should know,” the blue-haired nerd said, “calling classmates rude names is not acceptable!”
“Tch, whatever.”
“Chibiiiiiiiii, that’s exactly what the angry one just said, you guys are basically the same person!”
“HUH!?” They both yelled in unison before turning to glare at each other.
At this Dazai couldn’t hold it in anymore, he rolled off of the sofa he had previously been sitting on laughing uncontrollably.
“Hey, do you guys have any canned crab?” Dazai asked after his out burst, “I checked earlier but I couldn’t find any.”
The class started to relax after hearing the two speak, maybe living with them wouldn’t be too bad.

Chapter Text
Things hadn’t been as weird with the new students as the class had originally thought.
No scratch that, you could barely notice there we new students at all. They hadn’t left their room, not even for food, since their initial introductions that Friday.
Even though he was sure they were okay, Midoriya still couldn’t help but worry about the two. Maybe he just wasn’t being welcoming enough or perhaps they just weren’t fond of this many people? He couldn’t be sure.
_________
The entire class (excluding Dazai and Chuuya) now sat having breakfast, light chatter filled the air. Until everyone heard two voices coming from down the hall.
“Wahhhhh, Chibi is sooooooooooooo mean to me!”
Chuuya, with and angry look on his face, seemed to have decided the best way to deal with such antics was to just ignore them completely, so he did just that.
“Oh, are you guys hungry? We have-“ Suddenly Midoriya was cut off.
“No thanks, we’re okay. The Mackerel and I are just heading to class early so we can get the gist of everything, you know?”
“Oh well, all of us are almost done with breakfast, so we could walk you to class if you want,” why was Midoriya so insistent on becoming friends with them? Didn’t he know they were from the villain infested city of Yokohama?
“I think we’re good,” the short lived conversation was suddenly ended by Dazai.
“O-oh well, okay, see you in class!” Midoriya tried to keep up his cheery tone but it slightly faltered at the end.
The two left the dorms without another word. As the door shut behind them, everyone broke out into whispers.
“What’s their problem?” Kaminari loudly questioned.
“Oh, I’m sure they’re just nervous about starting their first day. I mean can you imagine being in a completely new city?” The green haired boy spoke again, not failing to add the cheerfulness into his voice.
“I guess so.”
“But still, that is no excuse to treat your classmates like that, how rude!” Iida scolded, though I’m not sure who he was trying to prove a point to, since the two had been long gone a that point.
“I guess we should also get to class soon, wouldn’t want to be late,” Midoriya beamed as he trudged towards the door.
“Oh yes of course, being late is completely unacceptable and sets a bad example for our new classmates!”
__________
Dazai broke out into laughter as soon as the door to the dorms closed behind him, “Did you see their faces when you dismissed the broccoli’s attempts at befriending us? It was hilarious!”
…
“Are you ignoring me? You still can’t possibly be mad at what happened earlier, can you?”
Silence again.
“I guess I will just have to fill the silence.” He began singing a god awful song about suicide, seriously what was with this guy?
After making it through the third verse of the song, Chuuya snapped, “What the hell is your problem? If you were told something that I need to know, you can’t just keep it from me like that!”
“Is that seriously what’s got your panties in a twist?”
“…”
“Ugh, fine I guess I’ll tell you what Mori said, but only if you promise to help me scare the shit out of class 1A later.”
“…fine.”
“Okay, the next phase of the plan begins like this:”

Chapter 5: Playing the Victim
Summary:
Chuuya and Dazai begin hero training with All Might and the rest of class 1A
Notes:
(See the end of the chapter for notes.)
Chapter Text
Dazai and Chuuya were already seated when the rest of the class began to arrive. They had picked two seats toward the front right next to each other.
“Oi, extra, you’re in my seat,” an angry teenager with blonde spiked hair and bright red eyes said in an annoyed tone.
“Really? I was under the impression that there weren’t assigned seats,” Dazai started to put his feet onto the desk, “Sorry, the ‘extra’ is going to keep this seat.”
“Ugh you bastard, I’m going to make your mother regret the day she ever gave birth to you!”
Faking a cry, Dazai replied, “Both of my parents are dead, so I am, in fact, a bastard, but that is no reason for you to rub it in like that.”
The boy seemed to have spat least some common sense, and began to walk to the back of the class. It seems that was the closest Dazai was going to get to an apology so he would take it.
“As you all know, finals are coming up,” a tired voice began from behind the desk, “If you fail any of your final exams, you won’t be able to participate in some of the activities at the summer training camp.”
A loud groan escaped the class.
“Sensei,” Dazai blinked his eyes innocently, “You see, my dog and I have only been here for three days, so will we also be partaking in the finals?”
“Yes, Nezu wishes to see what you two are capable of both on the school front and the heroics portion of the test.”
“Ugh,” this time the groan was coming from the annoyed looking Chuuya.
“Aww, is Chibi worried he won’t pass the exam?”
“Fuck off!”
“That is totally unacceptable language for classroom! I’m not sure what you were taught in Yokohama, but in UA, vulgar language is not tolerated!” A nerd in glasses said as he was moving his arm in a slicing motion.
“I’m so sorry about my friend,” Dazai began, clearly trying to pull the pity card, “you see, he hasn’t ever been in a school before and has yet to be trained, I apologize on his behalf.”
“Are you serious? Did you manage to fit another dog joke in there jackass?”
“Didn’t you hear, umm, the boy,” Dazai scolded as he failed to remember the kid’s name, “language like that isn’t tolerated in such a heroic school like this.”
“Tch, whatever.”
“Problem children, go get changed into your hero costumes, Dazai and Chuuya, I have your P.E. uniform right here for you to change into,” the tired man yawned.
“Alrighty!” Dazai said cheerfully.
_________
After getting their uniforms, they both made a beeline to the corner of the locker room. As much as they wanted the class to feel bad for them, it wasn’t going to be worth all all the questions about bandages and scars, so, they took turns standing in front o the other as they got changed.
“How the hell is the P.E. uniform uglier than the regular uniform?”
“I didn’t know that something could even be uglier than that horrendous thing,” Dazai replied also not pleased with how the uniform was looking.
_________
The whole class, excluding Dazai and Chuuya, now stood in front as All Might began to explain the rules of the activity they would be doing, “There will be two teams a her-“ the booming voice was cut of by bickering that was coming towards them.
“The blue of the uniform clashes horribly with your orange hair, you know.”
“Yeah, well it doesn’t look great with you insane amount of bandages either.”
“Ah, hello welcome to heroics, now please allow me to continue explaining the rules for the activity we will be doing.” The hero said with a large smile.
“You will all be split into pairs and one pair will be the villains while the others are the heroes. The villains’ goal is to protect the bomb from the heroes for ten minutes, or to capture the heroes using this capture tape,” he held up a wide roll of white tape, “if the villains manage to do either of these, then they win. The heroes are going to try to find the bomb and touch it, or, similarly to the villains, they can capture the two villains you sing the capture tape, if them manage either of these then they will win.”
The groups were randomly picked and here’s who is going to go against who:
Mina and Tsuyu vs. Sero and Kouda
Ojirou and Hagakure vs. Todoroki and Momo
Bakugo and Iida vs. Midoriya and Uraraka
Shouji and Mineta vs. Kaminari and Tokoyami
Aoyama and Sato vs. Jirou and Kirishima
There would be an extra pair, Dazai and Chuuya, so one group would be going twice. But, it wasn’t decided which group that would be yet.
Now let the games begin!

Thanks for reading till the end!
Chapter 6: Warriors
Summary:
Training begins, Dazai and Chuuya find out who they will be fighting.
Notes:
(See the end of the chapter for notes.)
Chapter Text
Chuuya and Dazai watched as some of the fights took place. Some of the students were definitely powerful, like Todoroki who froze the entire building in just one touch, while others are less so. Like tell me how the hell Mineta with a quirk called Sticky Balls managed to make it into the supposedly pristine school?
Chuuya was about to close his eyes, done with analyzing people who are so weak when Dazai pinched him.
“Oi, what the hell was that for?!” He whispered.
“Chuuuuuuuuuuuya, don’t you know it’s rude to fall asleep in class?”
What the hell? Why does Dazai care so much anyways? Chuuya was thinking this when he suddenly heard a loud ‘YOU’RE SO DEAD DEKU!’ Coming from the screen.
Ah, so that was it, Dazai actually saw Bakugo as a potential threat so they needed to keep an eye on him, got it.
“Shouldn’t we stop this fight before it gets too out of hand?” He heard a few murmurs along the lines of this around the class.
“There’s no need to worry, I won’t allow the fight to get too out of hand,” a booming voice said.
So the entire class sat they as they watched their classmate attempted to blow the green head up, maybe U.A. could actually be interesting after all? I mean what school just allows their kids to try to kill each other every day? Maybe this was a normal thing that happened at schools, Chuuya wouldn’t know.
_________
After the weapon was captured by Uraraka, Bakugo and Midoriya were supposed to stop fighting, but it all ended with Midoriya being carried out on a stretcher straight to recovery girl’s office, with several broken bones. Yeesh, that looks like a painful way to die.
The rest of the battles were pretty boring, a dumb quirk here, a dumb quirk there, it’s no wonder Chibi wanted to fall asleep. Some of the kids had interesting quirks but weren’t properly trained on how to use them so they were pretty much babies with loaded guns.
The kid that intrigued Dazai the most though was Todoroki, the kid with ice and fire powers, despite not using his fire, his ice was well controlled and extremely powerful unlike some students *cough *cough, Midoriya. One could assume that the kid had been trained before being taken to UA, obviously not to the extent that Dazai and Chuuya had been trained, but trained nonetheless.
As the final battle was finishing, Dazai decided to make predictions about who would be chosen to fight the two of them. It could be one of the strongest like Bakugo or Todoroki, or it could be one of the kids who were in the middle of the class strength wise. It probably wouldn’t be someone like Mineta because the teachers and principal probably wanted to see what they could do.
Dazai decided to announce his final guess to Chuuya just to lock it in, “Todoroki and Momo.”
“What?” Chuuya asked letting the annoyance seep into his voice.
“Those are the two who we’ll fight. They are probably the biggest threats in the class anyways. Todoroki is one of the strongest and Momo seems to be a good problem solver and I’m sure they could work well together. While Bakugo would likely take the lead and attempt to just fight the strongest of the pair they were going against. So the most logical choice would be Momo and Todoroki. Although I’m unsure if All Might thinks with logic or just who’s the strongest.”
“Okay!” The booming voice began, “The two that will be fighting Dazai and Chuuya are” he paused for suspense.
“Bakugo and Todoroki.”
“Ahahahahahahah, bet you’ve never been wrong in your life,” Chuuya laughed.
“Whatever.”
“Chuuya and Dazai will be the villain team and will have five minutes to prepare a plan and hide the bomb, the time starts, now!” All Might announced.
_______
“So do you have a plan shitty mackerel?”
“Awwww isn’t Chibi going to apologize for laughing in my face?” When silence was all that responded be continued, “Ugh, yeah I have a plan, the teacher obviously made a mistake, Momo would’ve been a better asset on the field. Bakugo lets his emotion fog his vision and we will use just that to capture him. So here’s what we’re going to do:”

Chapter Text
“The heroes will be released,” All Might’s boomed from the speakers, “Ten minutes begin now!”
“Just stay out of my way half and half, I want to show these new kids what I’m made of!”
“Are you sure? They just watched both of our matched and have an idea of what we’re capable of, but we’re just going into this blind,” Todoroki said in cold tone, “Maybe you shouldn’t just rush into this.”
“Huh? What? Do you think you’re the boss of me or something? Stupid bastard,” Bakugo shouted so loudly Todoroki wouldn’t be surprised if the Chuuya and Dazai could hear every word.
Before Todoroki could say another word, Bakugo was already walking cockily towards the building. This might’ve been a mistake, but Todoroki, no wanting to upset his partner further, followed him, not far behind.
“We should divide and conquer, I can go after Nakahara, and you can go for Dazai.”
“Tch, whatever icy hot.”
_
As Dazai and Chuuya heard All Might’s voice on the announcements, they immediately heard shouting coming from outside of the building.
“Just stay out of my way half and half, I want to show these new kids what I’m made of!”
Angry sound echoed loudly as Dazai tried to hear more.
“I knew Momo would’ve been a better choice than this angry Pomeranian,” he whispered bitterly.
“Aww, poor baby, are you still whining about your prediction being wrong?”
“Shut up stupid slug,” Dazai spoke keeping his voice low, “The kid with split hair is trying to get you, his quirk allows him to use ice and fire, so be prepared. I get to have some fun with boom boom boy over there!”
Dazai was clearly too excited for this but before Chuuya could protest, Dazai had already slipped out of his sight. I guess he will just protect the weapon and take split hair (God, he wished Dazai just used their names, he would have to ask the kid for his name later) not that he had much of a choice.
_
Dazai found himself sitting in a vent, looking at the angry boy below him.
“Oi, you bandaged bastard, come out and fight me,” the shout was followed by some small blasts coming from his hands.
“Am I making it too hard to find me Kachaan~?” He tried to use his most teasing voice possible.
“What the hell did you just call me?”
Huh? He thought it was just a cute nickname, I mean the green head kid and the one that looked like pikachu both used it, but maybe it had more meaning? This would be so much fun!
“Ka-chaan, are all those explosions making you go deaf?” He separated the syllables and made sure to add a confused tone towards the end of the sentence, as if he were actually interested, perhaps even worried.
“You bastard!” Bakugo shouted trying to scare him with an explosion, however, Bakugo was still unsure of where Dazai was hiding so it was aimed towards the other end of the hallway.
This terrible performance was rewarded with a laugh or what most would describe as an evil cackle from Dazai who was hiding up in the vents that lurked in the corner of the room.
“You bandage wasting machine!” Bakugo sounded even more made as he sent several more explosions in the wrong direction once again.
“You know, I think I’m starting to feel bad for you, even when the Chibi fights me, he doesn’t take this long to, at the very least, start the fight,” his mocking tone continued, “who knew hero students were so weak?”
“I‘ll kill you!” The blonde seemed to have become even more angry, if that was even possible. Dazai watched from the safety of his vent as the kid blew up random doors and walls in a pure fit of rage.
After a few minutes of teasing and destruction, Dazai heard the loud voice boom from the speakers, “Todoroki has been captured!” Maybe it was time for Dazai to end the fight, so he quietly exited his vent.
Bakugo barely had time to react before he saw a dark figure running towards him, “I’ll blast you all the way to hell!” He shouted as he attempted to set off an explosion, which was suddenly stoped by a bright blue light that appeared out of no where.
Before Bakugo could even react, he was grabbed tightly on the arm. Everything went cold and all he could feel was emptiness as he tried to set off an explosion but found that his quirk had disappeared.
His face went a sickly color of green as his stomach turned and he crouched over as he began to gag and threw up his lunch from earlier.
Dazai tried to avoid stepping in the pile of puke that had formed near his feet, his ability might have a different affect on quirk users, how curious. Bakugo began his to shake as he wrapped Bakugo’s wrist up in the capture tape he had been given, all Bakugo knew at the time was fear as he looked into the cold, black eyes that stared blankly back at him with a sly smile on the monster’s face. How could a person even make that expression? The familiar voice then boomed from the speakers again, though sounding less sure as he said, “Young Bakugo has been captured, Villain team wins!”
Dazai began to walk away not sparing a glance at the boy who was now sprawled across the floor white as a sheet, still shaking in fear.
_
The timer had barely started when Chuuya first heard footsteps cautiously walking up the stairs.
Perfect, now he wouldn’t have to go looking for the kid. All he had to do was capture him while keeping the weapon, which he had securely stored right outside the window on the top floor, safe.
As the footsteps began to get closer, Chuuya couldn’t help but get excited for the fight, even though it probably wouldn’t be much of a challenge, he hadn’t had a real fight in quite a while and any little bit of combat would help satisfy him until the mission was over.
“Oi kid,” Chuuya began as the kid came out of the stair well, “What’s your name?”
“Oh right, I apologize, my name is Todoroki Shoto,” he said in a cool tone almost no emotion in his voice, “You are Nakahara Chuuya, correct?”
“Yeah, though I’d prefer if you just call me Chuuya,” he said as he began to think, maybe making friends with some of the hero brats wouldn't be so bad.
“Oh, okay,” Todoroki said coolly, as he was the first one to attack, sending a large piece of ice towards Chuuya, who dodged quickly.
With a smile on his face he smashed his fist into the ice making pieces fly across the room. A red glow now illuminated Chuuya as he jumped, landing on the floor with such force that pieces of concrete flew up into the air. The stones, too were glowing red.
Chuuya began hurling stones towards the student in an attempt to catch him off guard and knock him out completely. The kid, however, reacted quickly and used a large slab of ice to protect himself, before sending another wave of ice towards Chuuya.
It had already been a few minutes of fighting, and Chuuya decided he liked this Todoroki kid quite a bit, but there was still a nagging question in his brain, what the fuck was taking Dazai so long to capture the other one? Chuuya had been trying to wait until Dazai caught the angry one before Chuuya ended his fight with Todoroki, but he was starting to get bored of attacks so much weaker than his own.
Chuuya took one heavy step, dislodging a large piece of concrete from the floor and threw it at Todoroki, who was already getting tired from the first wave of attacks, he barely managed to block using a piece of ice that shattered after being hit by the large rock. As relief flooded his brain he had almost no time to react to the smaller rock that was flung quickly towards his face. It hit his forehead with a thud and he quickly fell to the ground as Chuuya pulled his own capture tape from his back pocket, tying it securely to the kid’s limp wrist.
The speakers suddenly boomed with their teacher’s voice, “Todoroki has been captured!”
After a few seconds, it was followed by a less steady, “Young Bakugo has been captured, Villain team wins!”
Dazai must have done a real number on the kid for their dumb ass teacher to sound worried, he also must have been playing around with him because it had only been a few seconds after Chuuya had captured Todoroki before the loud kid was captured, what a bastard Chuuya couldn’t help but think.
After the announcement ended, he picked the unconscious Todoroki off of the floor and put him onto his back as he began to walk towards the stairs.
_
“Sensei, don’t you think it’s a little unfair to have the two strongest kids in our class go against the new students?” Kaminari asked, “It’s kind of obvious who is going to win.”
“Now now, Young Kaminari, the two still have a chance,” All Might’s voice echoed through the room.
“You may be right sir, but I do agree with Kaminari,” Iida started, “It is a little unfair to have the two, both untrained, face our almost professional level classmates.” He moved his arms up and down as he attempted to prove his point.
“You can’t just assume an opponent will go down without a fight, but even if they do lose, it will be a good learning opportunity for the entire class,” All Might’s voice echoed was trying to convince himself as well, truly he hadn’t really though about the two students he picked to face off against the Yokohaman boys, he just hoped they wouldn’t get too injured. “I will also stop the match before any serious injuries befall on the two of your new classmates, so don’t worry!”
The class didn’t look convinced, but their attention was quickly drawn to the shouting coming from the screen. Bakugo seemed to have found Dazai, the one covered in bandages, but he was no where in sight on the screen.
“Who is he talking to?” Kaminari questioned loudly.
“Dazai, I think,” Momo responded, “He must have found a great hiding spot because even Bakugo doesn’t seem to know where he is.”
As murmurs erupted from the class, the other monitor showed Todoroki and Chuuya having their first meeting as well. They appeared to be introducing themselves? How nice, the class couldn’t help but think.
After a few minutes of Bakugo setting off random explosions, and Todoroki and Chuuya having their fight, everyone’s jaws dropped as Chuuya launched a large piece of concrete directly at Todoroki.
“Sensei! Shouldn’t you stop the fight?” Iida asked as Todoroki thankfully dodged, but was quickly knocked out by a smaller rock that was sent his way.
All might just turned on the speakers and announced Todoroki’s capture, just after the announcement ended, the whole class watched in horror as Bakugo was attacked by Dazai who had been hiding in the vents. Just one touch brought Bakugo to his knees and throwing up. What the hell? These were the strongest two in their class and they were beaten by two kids who had only just joined their class? How was that possible?
The class also watched as Chuuya graciously picked Todoroki up, and carried him out of the building, while Dazai just stepped over Bakugo’s paralyzed body disgusted by the vomit now on the floor.
Seriously what the hell was up with their new classmates?

Chapter Text
The class stood in shock as they watched their classmates being wheeled out on stretchers after a simple battle training activity.
When both of their new classmates walked in, not a scratch in sight, the class erupted into whispers.
A few whispers like “What did he do to make Bakugo reacts like that?” And, “Who does he think he is just leaving him like that?” Were heard through the whispers.
Some people might have been offended, hearing themselves talked about like that, but Dazai was just amused. He found the fact that they were so scared funny and almost laughed when he heard a kid with bright yellow hair question if he was a witch. Seriously, how dumb could someone be?
After a few minutes of quietly lurking in the corner, Chibi walked up to him half laughing, “Did you actually just leave him there Mackerel?”
“Well, slugs like you might be okay with getting slime all over them, but getting heroling puke all over me, is definitely not on my wish list.”
“Oh eww, okay that’s fair,” Chuuya said with a disgusted look on his face as if he were imagining being the one to have to carry the kid out of the building.
“Why did you carry that split hair kid out anyways?”
“His name is Todoroki actually, and he’s nice or whatever,” half defending himself for not being a terrible person he continued, “And aren’t we supposed to at least pretend we want to be heroes?”
“Hmm, I guess you’re right, but I think I scared that explosion kid shitless,” Dazai snickered, “Anyways, I figured out what we should do later to class 1A, we should put-“
Dazai was suddenly cut off the by the loud voice of their teacher, “Okay! Class today was a perfect learning experience for everybody, remember never to underestimate your opponent and not to rush into things,” he spoke as if he were trying to convince himself, “Anyways, class is dismissed for today, please go back to the dorms and get some rest, I’m sure you are all tired.”
“Can’t he ever start his monologue when I’m not talking?” Annoyed, Dazai began to walk towards the locker room, Chuuya locked right next to his right side, as usual.
_
Dazai and Chuuya positioned themselves in the corner of the locker, trying not to attract attention, although that would, be unlikely due to the fact that everyone was immersed in the light chatter that filled the room.
Just as he was putting his shirt on, Dazai was startled by a voice asking, “Hey man, are you okay? That’s a lot of bandages.”
It was a kid with red spikes hair and sharp teeth, he looked almost like a shark. Maybe he could pick something shark related for what he would call him, maybe shark boy, or baby shark. He’s have to think about it later.
“Oh yes! I’m perfectly fine!” Dazai said sweetly with an innocent smile, “They are to keep my abi-quirk under wraps.”
“Oh wow! That’s super manly! Anyways, my name is Kirishima Ejirou, and if you guys would ever like to sit with anyone at lunch or hang out with us outside of class, we would love to have you!” Shark boy smiled brightly while gesturing towards what looked like his group of friends: Dumb Pikachu, Pinky Malinkey, Weird Elbow Boy, and Long Earlobes Girl.
“Oh thanks for the offer, the slug usually has a hard time making friends so this will be very helpful!” Blah, acting all nice might be taking its toll on Dazai’s sanity.
“Bakugo also usually sits with us,” Baby shark gave Dazai a quick thumbs up before strolling back to his group of friends.
“What did the red head want?” Chuuya asked, with annoyance creeping into his voice.
“Don’t worry, you’re my one and only red headed dog.”
“You bastard!” Chuuya yelled while grabbing Dazai’s collar.
“Bad dog!”
“Fuck off,” Dazai was dropped and he turned to look around and noticed several pairs of eyes locked onto the two of them, “Come on, let’s go.”
_
Dazai pulled out a small bag, half filled with bugs, “I swiped them from Mori before we left Yokohama, maybe Chuuya would’ve known about them earlier if he wasn’t constantly taking beauty sleeps.”
“It wasn’t a beauty sleep, and what do you plan to do with those?”
“I think you mean what do I plan for Chuuya to do with these.”
“Oh fuck off, I’m not going to just do what you want me to-“
“Aww, I thought a good dog always obeys its master?”
“Stop interrupting me jackass,” Chuuya spat angrily, “and I’m not your dog.”
“Hmph, whatever, I guess I’ll just plant these bugs somewhere and not tell Chuuya where they are,” Dazai huffed.
Most of the walk was silent as they made their way back to the dorms.
_
Once the two made it back to the dorms, Dazai made a beeline to the kitchen, making a show of looking into the cabinets expectingly and letting out a disappointed sigh as he found no canned crab. After the third cabinet, Kirishima went up to him, “Are you looking for a something in particular?”
“Yes, unfortunately it seems you guys don’t have any canned crab,” Dazai said hoping Kirishima had a secret stash of crab hidden somewhere.
“Oh, sorry about that,” he rubbed his forehead, “We go grocery shopping every weekend so if you add it to the list then I’m sure we can get some for you!”
“It’s okay,” no it absolutely was not okay, but whatever, “I’m going to go find Chibi, see you around.”
He walked into the common area as he watch the door swing open and the classmates that had been severely injured walked through the doors.
Todoroki and Midoriya walked in chatting as Bakugo followed with a deep frown on his face. When he saw Dazai, his frown only grew deeper, “Oi extra, what the hell is that quirk of yours?”
Dazai had a lot of fun inciting him last time so he took a dramatic breath and continued, “Are you talking to me, Kachaan~”
“You bastard, I already told you to-“ as Bakugo looked at his face, he noticed the same dead expression he’d seen earlier that day, “whatever.” He ended his sentence and began to go upstairs to his dorm room.
“Is Kachaan already tired? It’s only 7:30,” Dazai said in his teasing tone he usually used with Chibi.
“Oi Mackerel, stop,” Chuuya stood up and began to walk towards his dorm, clearly noticing the uncomfortable stares being sent in Dazai’s direction.
“Aww Chibi is sooooooo mean to me!” Dazai followed Chuuya towards their dorm rooms at the end of the hall.
As the class heard the sound of the door shutting behind the two, people began to talk again, Mina asked loudly, “Did anyone see that look Dazai gave Bakugo, I swear he looked like a literal demon!”
“Yeah it was really scary! But I think he looked more like a doll, with no emotion at all,” Kaminari added unhelpfully.
“Talking bad about our classmates is completely unacceptable,” Iida half scolded, “but I, too, was a little freaked out by the look.”
“Chuuya seems nice though,” Mina continued, “he noticed how scared we were and swooped in like a true hero.”
“He also carried Todobro when he was unconscious out of the building while Dazai just stepped over Bakubro like he was trash,” Kirishima said with a deep-in-thought look on his face, “But he seemed nice earlier when I asked him if he wanted to hang out with us.”
“I’m going to go to bed,” Midoriya smiled, “Maybe we can talk more about this tomorrow. Good night everyone!”

Chapter Text
“Jeez, these ‘heroes’ really don’t like you.”
“Whatever, a slug like you wouldn’t understand.”
Despite the fact that they were both given their own single dorms (probably one of the teacher dorms, judging by the bathroom attached to the room), the two felt much safer sharing a room when they were on missions in unfamiliar places.
Being in one room had several upsides one might not think about, for example, it was the perfect place to share information about the mission, without people overhearing, it was also perfect for keeping an eye out in case one of them were being targeted.
For Chuuya though, it helped him figure out if Dazai was in one of his ‘moods’. So, objectively, sharing a room was the perfect way for Chuuya to ensure his partner’s safety, both from himself and enemies he knew were lurking in the dark, waiting for a spot of weakness to attack.
“I’m sorry, what is there to understand?” Chuuya laughed, “I thought we were going to try to be like able, you might’ve made yourself public enemy number one.”
“We’re changing strategies,” Dazai grinned, “Get ready for it Chu-uya,”
Dazai drummed on his thighs trying to add to the suspense of the moment.
“You’ll become best buddies with everyone in 1A!” He smiled in a way that to an outsider might look sweet and innocent, but Chuuya knew what was hidden behind that smile, and that it was nothing more than a mask used to get what he wanted.
“Tch,” Chuuya started, despite knowing his partner’s strategies weren’t going to fail, “I guess I could become friends with these hero brats.”
“Whoo hoo, Chibi is finally obeying his orders like a good dog!”
“I’m not your damn dog!”
-
After finding his seat, Dazai made a show of propping his feet onto the desk and flung his arms behind his head trying to attract as much attention as possible.
He seemed to have done a good job because just moments later an angry class president marched over to his seat.
“Don’t you know it’s extremely disrespectful to put your feet on a desk like that?”
All he received in response was loud raspberry blown from Dazai, who began to close his eyes in an attempt to fall asleep (or at least to look asleep).
“Hey!” Iida attempted to get Dazai’s attention.
“Didn’t you know it’s extremely rude to interrupt someone when they’re trying to sleep?”
Just before Iida could respond their teacher arose from his brightly colored cocoon.
“Sit down Iida, and just so you know,” the next part was aimed directly at Dazai, “antagonizing your classmates like that isn’t a great way to make friends.”
As Dazai was getting scolded by their teacher, Chuuya couldn’t help but snicker to himself. Although his amusement was cut short when he was reminded of the fact that both himself and Dazai would be taking the final with their class mates, ugh how unfair.
“There is a summer training camp coming up,” their teacher began, “it’s held with the Wild Wild Pussycats up in the mountains and you and class 1B will be there to increase your strength, not just with your bodies, but your quirk endurance as well. This brings me back to talking about your final exams because if you fail any of your finals, you won’t be allowed to partake in certain activities.” A sinister grin appeared on his face as several groans of frustration escaped the class.
“This feels like an attack directly on me!” Kaminari moaned.
“Mon dieu!” Aoyama said with a pained expression on his face.
-
The day had turned out to be rather uneventful, so Dazai and Chuuya now sat by themselves in the corner of the packed cafeteria.
“Chuuya-bro,” a cheerful voice spoke, “why don’t you and Dazai-bro come and sit with us?”
“Oh sure!” Chuuya attempted to, at least, return half of the enthusiasm.
As they sat down, Chuuya was met with several smiles and hellos, while Dazai was met with one long and menacing glare sent from bright red eyes across the table. It was the annoying brat he beat with just one touch, boom boom boy. Oh he was going to have fun with him.
Dazai, wanting to see a reaction, sent a glare twice as evil back towards Bakugo, who began to sweat as he saw the eyes of a killer looking straight at him.
“I have to go to the bathroom,” Bakugo left the table abruptly.
A few moments later, Dazai also excused himself and followed quietly behind Bakugo.

Chapter 10: A Sensei’s Duty
Chapter Text
“I don’t know Nezu, I just don’t trust them,” Aizawa tried his best not to sound too worried, but, despite his efforts, he cared too much about his students not to let a little worry slip into his voice. “Something just isn’t right.”
“I understand your concerns, and you should definitely keep an eye on them,” Nezu spoke with a small smile on his face, making it clear to Aizawa that he did not, in fact, understand his concerns. “Perhaps you could get one of your students to watch over them and to report anything suspicious, maybe that Iida kid?”
“Yes, maybe.”
“Well, now that that’s settled, I should probably get back to my lunch break,” Nezu continued, “and I’m sure you have your own break to get back to-“
“Right,” Aizawa said slightly cutting off the last word of the principal’s sentence, “I’ll go talk to Iida.”
Maybe making his students watch over their peers was too much pressure to put onto the kids. But something just wasn’t right with these new kids. Aizawa had seen the tape from their heroics class and what kind of hero take pleasure in tormenting his opponent, and don’t think he didn’t notice how Chuuya had been toying with Todoroki for several minutes before abruptly ending the fight, judging by the look on his face, out of boredom.
He knew the two came from Yokohama, which was a dangerous city, but is that really how they learned how to fight so well? Something about the fact that they were able to beat two of their top students, so easily might I add, felt fishy.
As Aizawa continued down the hall, he saw Bakugo leave the cafeteria in a rushed sort of manner, heading towards the bathroom. The boy was quickly followed by Dazai, who wore his usual smirk on his face.
Maybe Aizawa was just paranoid, but he decided that he also needed to use the bathroom.
As he entered he heard quiet but threatening sounding words as they left the brunette’s mouth.
-
After basically chasing Bakugo down the hall (seriously who just walks that fast), he wasn’t far behind him when he entered the bathroom.
“You know Kac-chan,” Dazai said, pushing Bakugo against a wall, “People with personalities like yours don’t last long in Yokohama.”
Just one touch from Dazai had made Bakugo feel queasy and definitely too weak to argue against the use of his childhood nickname, so he stood there in silence and continued to listen to the oddly threatening way the words were being delivered to him.
This Bakugo kid was definitely all bark, no bite because after just being touched by Dazai, he was too scared to even growl out a few words in response. How boring, Dazai thought this kid would’ve been a bit more fun to play with, but maybe not.
As Dazai grumbled out a threat he had thought of on the spot, the door burst open, and revealed their way too tired teacher, Aizawa.
“Aizawa-Sensei?” Bakugo asked letting relief flood his voice.
“What is going on in here?”
“Oh you see, my best buddy,” Dazai rested his hand on Bakugo, who resisted the urge to gag at the touch, “and I were just having a nice talk.”
Clearly not impressed with the excuse Aizawa started, “Dazai please return to lunch. Bakugo please come speak to me in my office.”
“Yes Sensei~” Dazai said at the same time as Bakugo, with much less enthusiasm, said, “Yes, Aizawa-Sensei.”
-
Bakugo sat in front of Aizawa with an uncomfortable expression on his face.
“…”
“I’m just going to start with asking- Are you okay?”
Slightly startled by the direct question, Bakugo responded, “Y-yeah, I’m fine. Why?”
“Well you’ve seemed a bit off ever since you had the training exercise with Dazai and Chuuya, and as you teacher, it’s my job to make sure you are all right.”
“I’m okay, thanks for asking,” Bakugo ended the conversation and began to head for the door.
“Bakugo, if something happened with the new student that I need to know about or you want me to know about,” Aizawa said with stern but slightly worried look on his face, “please tell me.”
“I already said, I’m fine,” the usual annoyed tone returned to his voice, “and nothing happened with the new student.”
Chapter 11: Villains
Notes:
Hi! So I created a character to join the league of villains, Matsuo Bashō, he is an ability user and his ability allows him to make someone lose control of their quirk or ability. It’s kind of like in Bungo Stray Dogs when everyone’s abilities started to fight them, but it’s more just that their power just gets out of control. Also, thank you to everyone who has commented on previous chapters and left kudos, it means the world to me and I hope you enjoy this chapter!!!
(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)
Chapter Text
Bashō Matsuo, an ability user, entered a bar that was said to be the headquarters of the infamous, League of Villains (a terrible named criminal organization). The dim lighting and strong stench of alcohol gave the bar a somewhat ominous feeling.
Despite knowing this organization was a joke, he couldn’t help the goosebumps that emerged on his skin when he heard a man’s voice begin to speak.
“Ah Bashō, we’ve been expecting you,” the raspy voice echoed through the bar eerily (seriously, what was this? A spooky movie?) as footsteps slowly made their way towards him.
“You must be Shigaraki Tomura, leader of the League of Villains,” Bashō was still amused by the use of the word villain in everyday life outside of Yokohama, it was like something out of a comic book. “I’m delighted to make your acquaintance.”
A wide grin firmed on the man’s face, “It seems someone did their homework.”
Shigaraki began a very long, one-sided conversation. The more that he listened to Shigaraki whine about battles lost and plans for the future, he realized this was not a leader of criminal organization, no it was just a man child who happened to be a very sore loser.
Bashō was definitely going to have fun with him.
“So, what is your quirk?” The arrogance that filled his voice made Bashō want to throw up, how could he have been unnerved by this pathetic man earlier?
“Ah, you see, I’m from Yokohama,” he paused letting the first part sink in before he continued, “and in Yokohama, quirks aren’t common, however, we have something more powerful and dangerous called Abilities. Ability users are quite rare, but are extremely powerful, and I am, in fact, an ability user. Bashō Matsuo, at your service.” He added a grand bow at the end adding to the dramatic effect (this world really was just like a movie). “My ability is called “Morning Glory”, through touch, it allows me to make someone lose control of their ability.”
A sly smile appeared on Shigaraki’s face as he continued to talk about his plans for the future. Almost all of what the man said was of no interest to Bashō, but one thing did catch his attention.
“Our informant has told us about two new, extremely powerful, U.A. students who escaped Yokohama. We are planning to attack at their summer training camp.”
Boom! That’s what he was looking for, thank god the league wasn’t entirely incompetent.
“Sounds great!” Bashō added with a wide smile, “I can’t wait to get up to all this villainy, with you and the rest of the league.”
Shigaraki wasn’t sure what it was about Bashō, but he…
…
absolutely loved this guy!!!

Chapter Text
Class 1A had sort of calmed down in the weeks that followed the two joining the class. As the days went on, less and less people flinched when one of them would enter a room.
Some people even went so far as to invite Chuuya (Dazai had become sort unapproachable) to hangout or eat lunch with them. It had become obvious that the two boys from Yokohama were definitely the strongest among their class, maybe even rivaling the strength of some pros.
As finals came around the corner people stopped even thinking about the two of them not being real classmates. Everyone accepted them as one of their own. Well not everyone.
Bakugo hadn’t been himself since the incident in the bathroom. He stopped yelling as much and even chilled out with some of the nicknames, when the two were present.
Every time he saw that brown-haired bastard, the anger would boil up inside him. How could he let someone treat him like that? Although the question that blared in his mind was always ‘How could I let him get away with that?’ More than anything, Bakugo was disappointed with himself for being so damn weak that he couldn’t even stand up for himself against Dazai.
He didn’t mention the incident to any of friends, deciding that it would just be embarrassing, and whenever the topic of two boys came up, he would just listen quietly and wait for the conversation come to an end.
Now was one of those times, as he listened to Kirishima and Karminari talk about how freakishly strong the two of them were.
“Chuuya-bro was so manly today,” the red-head, with admiration glowing on his face, started, “He ended the battle against Todo-bro so quickly.”
“I know bro,” Kaminari was still a little out of it from earlier when he faced Dazai in a fight and decided it would be a good idea to use 1.3 million volts on his classmate.
Bakugo started to tune out some of what was being said, deciding the conversation would end just as quickly as it started.
He continued to look around the kitchen thinking about what the class should make for dinner when he saw familiar brown and red hair make their way into the room.
“Hey guys, maybe we should-,” Bakugo’s words were clipped as Kaminari continued to marvel about how strong they were.
“I mean their strength is almost inhuman,” he said as he rubbed his chin as if in deep thought.
He watched out of the corner of his eye, he watched as both of the boys, who had just entered the room, stopped in their tracks.
Dazai’s eyes looked even darker than usual and the emotion on Chuuya’s face had been something like anger with sadness buried deep within it.
Kirishima and Kaminari noticed the two standing there and watched as the red-head basically ran out of the room.
-
Dazai had been called lots of things before. He was known as the demon prodigy for god’s sake, and he had known for a long time that he was something that didn’t deserve to be called human.
So what bugged him about this time? What was so different about what the hero student said?
As he began to ponder, he watched Chuuya bolt out of the room with a grim expression on his face and then he knew what had been so different about this time.
This time, it wasn’t just him who was being degraded, like he always had been. This time, Chuuya, who he knew already had been questioning his own humanity, was also on the receiving end of this comment.
But was this really why the comment stung so much? Did he actually care about his partner? Was he the reason Dazai remained in the same spot sending death glares towards the group of boys who had just been talking about him.
Dazai stood still as he watched the three of them scurried out of the kitchen with their tails between their legs. He watched as other students saw the expression on his face and left the room in a similar matter.
Maybe he wasn’t a human, what kind of human can make other people scared with just and expression on their face. What was he taking about, of course he wasn’t human, that much wasn’t new.

Thank you for reading until the end, some special guests will be appearing next chapter!
Chapter 14: Agency
Notes:
I’m ashamed to admit how long this chapter took me to write, and I’m sorry it’s definitely not my best well-written chapters. It’s just a filler chapter and is probs even shorter than my prologue. Also, in Bungo Stray dogs, I’m not when the agency was officially created or when Kunikida joined, but for the plot of the story, let’s just say Kunikida is a high school intern. Thank you so much to people who have commented or left Kudos, it means the world to me. I hope you enjoyed!!!

Chapter Text
The Armed Detective Agency was one of the most trusted and relied on gifted organizations in all of Yokohama. Despite their low numbers, they were given cases too difficult for the police to handle.
That was all the information Nezu was able to receive from reliable sources.
“What!” Several teachers shouted in unison. The principal had called a faculty meeting in order to discuss the possibility of a traitor.
“So you just want to want to employ a random group of detectives from Yokohama?” Aizawa had also been contemplating the possibility of a traitor, but what didn’t make sense was why the principal wished to hire this agency that he knew so little about.
“Actually,” a wide grin formed on the mouse’s face, “They volunteered themselves for the job, I received a call this morning. Their best detectives are already on their way!”
Despite the slight annoyance at the situation, Aizawa (and the rest of the staff) knew that the principal rarely made rash decisions without knowing the possible costs.
“I’m glad we could come to an agreement,” and with that, the meeting was ended without further discussion.
-
“Ah, it seem UA has accepted our offer,” Fukuzawa’s deep voice echoed through the office.
“Of course they did,” Ranpo took a big lick of his lollipop, “They’re all just a bunch of dumb dumbs who can’t do anything without ‘The Smartest Detective in the World’.”
“I’m totally lost here,” Kunikida said as he pushed his glasses further up his nose, “What’s so significant about this hero school? I mean, why are we even investigating outside of Yokohama in the first place? It seems like something that could end up being rather problematic.”
“With my super duper awesome deduction skills,” He dramatically took out his glass and made a show up putting them in his face, “I figured out the Port Mafia has been sticking their nose into hero business, especially surrounding UA, and if they managed to take over one of the top hero schools in the world, it would be quite an issue for everyone, not just people in Yokohama.”
Notes:
This chapter physically hurt to write, I kept on deleting everything because nothing felt quite right (I spent three hours on it 😧) and I’m sorry if it still isn’t the best, but I promise future chapters I’m shaping are already looking better. I hope you enjoyed!!!
Chapter 15: Detective
Notes:
Happy American Independence Day to any Americans that read this 🔫🇺🇸! I hope you enjoy the chapter, it’s a little short but much longer than the last one so that’s something. Also, if you notice I make a mistake with the plot of Bungo Stray Dogs or My Hero Academia, please let me know so I can fix the mistake or explain. Thank you so much to everyone who has left kudos or commented it means so much to me!!! I hope you enjoy!!!

The whole school had been called into the auditorium, in a Saturday morning.
Can you believe it? Who the hell calls an assembly on a weekend?
Sure, the only reason Chuuya was so mad was because this was one of the only days off he got from those hero fuckers, and yeah, he was supposed to be making friends with them because shitty Dazai can’t play nice for five minutes. But he seriously can’t bring himself to care.
The thing that pissed him off the most, though, was the fact that whole assembly had been about some random-ass detective agency nobody had ever even heard of (yeah, he looked around the room and only found students just as confused as he had been. Well all except Dazai who wore one of the freakiest smirks Chuuya had ever seen).
“Hello students!” Seriously? Was this kid a student or a detective? “My name is Ranpo Edogawa, and I’m the world’s smartest detective!”
Everything about this kid irritated him: his voice, his glasses, his cockiness, hell, even his hair.
“Aww, is Chibi mad his weekend plans got spoiled?” Dazai whispered, the smirk from earlier seemed to have faded into a small grin.
“Shut your mouth,”
“My dog is so mean to me!”
“Shut up emo!”
-
Dazai had seen a lot of horrifying things in his life, but none of them felt as torturous as sitting through this hour-long assembly where one person, who didn’t look much older than the students here, just rambled on and on about how great he was.
Once they had finally been released, he had basically sprinted out that door, hoping to still have enough time to put and obnoxious amount of salt into every food product he could find.
The detective didn’t seem half-bad, he’ll probably figure out that Aoyama’s the traitor. Even though Dazai probably didn’t have to feel worried about him, the way he acted made it seem like he was dealing with someone more.
As Dazai walked around a corner, he nearly jumped out of his skin when he saw the detective, Ranpo Edogawa, and pretty lady just standing there, waiting.
Um, okay, is that just a hobby or what?
“Oh hello Dazai Osamu!” Ranpo was it? Whoever he was, the lady looked ready to pounce on Dazai at any given moment, he literally just met these people what had he already done wrong?
“Ah, hello,” Dazai planted his own wide smile onto his face as he bowed deeply to the lady, “And you are?”
“Yosano Akiko.”
That was all he got? He hoped he managed to hide his disappointment on his face before he turned back to look at the detective.
“You know, I didn’t expect Port Mafia executives to be such womanizers,” Ranpo licked a lollipop that looked like it just appeared out of nowhere.

What the actual hell?
Okay, so maybe Dazai wasn’t the best at pretending he was some poor orphan who escaped Yokohama.
But still, an average detective wouldn’t be able to figure this out so quickly.
“Um hello?” The detective waved his hand in an animated way, “Earth to Demon Prodigy.”
“Who. Are. You?”
“Ah, now that’s more like a mafia member.”
“Who the hell are you?”
“The Port Mafia isn’t the only organization who can leave Yokohama,” the beautiful lady spoke as she stepped between the two as if protecting him from some monster.
“Oh, I see,” a wide grin formed on Dazai’s face, “If you need someone to show you around, I’d be happy not to! Anyways, I’ll be on my way.”
With that, Dazai turned around and began to skip towards the dorms.
-
“So this random-ass detective just knows everything about us?”
“That’s what I said Chibi,” Dazai rolled his eyes.
“How are we going to tell these fuckers to stop messing with Port Mafia business?”
Chuuya spoke as he cracked his knuckles and rubbed his fists in an intimidating manner.
“I know it might be hard for a brawn like you do understand,” Dazai didn’t bother trying to stop the sarcasm from creeping into his voice, “but not everything has to end in a fist fight.”
“If you’re such a genius then, how do you suppose we get rid of these stupid detectives.”
“I say we just avoid them until the time is right,” Dazai began, “I’m sure they’re feeling the same way. Making rash decisions is a great way to get yourself killed when you’re dealing with people like us. They’re probably just feeling out the place first, so it would be best if we give them as little information as possible and just avoid them entirely.”
“Whatever, Mackerel.”
“Maybe we should have a team chant! Let’s put our hands in the middle and-“
The door slammed closed as Chuuya left the room not wanting to hear the rest of the so-called team chant.
Maybe the waste of bandages had truly lost it.

Chapter Text
As Chuuya walked into the kitchen, he noticed several students surrounding someone.
“Oh hey Chuuya!” Pikachu wannabe said (Chuuya should probably start to learn their actual names because soon he would be just as bad as Dazai), “Did you want to say ‘hi’ to the new student?”
That’s odd. They had been so surprised when Dazai and him had shown up, so he assumed it would be quite rare for new students to join right at the end of the school year.
The kid in front of him looked as normal as they get. He was tall, slim, and had blonde hair (pretty basic).
“Oh hello! My name is Kunikida Doppo, it’s my pleasure to make your acquaintance.”
“Uh, hey Kunikida. How was Chuuya even supposed to respond to such a formal introduction?
“My name is Chuuya Nakahara, uh, and the pleasure is mine?”
That was probably right.
“He’s one of the kids that I told you about,” Pikachu cut in, “You know, the ones that escaped Yokohama?”
“Oh,” his face went from friendly to cold in mere seconds, “I’ll see you around Nakahara.”
“Yeah, guess I’ll see you around Kunikida.”
Something was definitely up. Maybe he just has reservations about Yokohama. Most of 1A used to be like that too. But something about how quickly his face changed, almost like he recognized him somehow.
Maybe he was working with the detectives, and he recognized him just like the ones that had recognized Dazai.
Or maybe he was just being paranoid, he would just have to keep an eye on him and see if anything changes.
“Chuuya~!” Dazai spoke with mock sadness, “You really left me hanging back there!”
“Whatever shitty-Dazai.”

“If I fail my written tests, do you guys think Mr. Aizawa will still let me go to the training camp?” Kaminari asked.
“Probably not Dunce Face.”
“Come on Bakubro!” Kirishima pumped his fist in the air, “I think we all are going to pass and have fun at the training camp together!”
“Pftttt- hahahahahahahah,”
What the hell? Oh Bakugo of all people had memorized that laugh cackle.
“What is so damn funny?”
“Sorry! Don’t mind me,” Dazai let a lazy smile form on his face, “I was just wondering if you fail, do you really think you would be able to convince your teacher to take you on the trip anyway?”
The Pikachu wannabe seemed to think really hard about this for a moment (seriously, Dazai thought he might fry his brain just from thinking too hard).
“I don’t know, I can be really convincing sometimes,” Kaminari answered, still thinking hard, “Oh! Maybe I should dance to convince him.”
“How about you spend this time studying, dumbass.”
“I’m so screwed!”
“You’re not alone,” tears streamed down Mina’s face, “I don’t remember learning any of this!”
Dazai chuckled, “I can help you guys study if you’d like.”
“Thank you Dazai-bro,” The red head seemed to be quite excited about this new addition to their study group. “With you and Baku-bro we’ll be acing these tests no problem!”
“Actually, I might head to bed,”
“Aww Kachaan! Leaving so soon?” That wretched grin, that screamed villain, was back, “I just got here.”
“Yeah,” if he managed to get any angrier, he was sure one of his blood vessels would pop, “I want to be well-rested for the tests tomorrow.”
After Bakugo was out of sight, Dazai couldn’t help but make at least one comment about his favorite hero student.
“Blahh, what a party pooper!”
-
Denki was definitely ready for this test! He’d spent hours studying with Dazai and the others last night, so there was no way he was going to fail (he also didn’t spend any time working on his dance to convince their teacher, so plan B was already out the window).
Eraserhead began to hand out test packets and pencils. The blonde just needed to keep breathing, he’s got this there’s no way he would fai- uh.
What was the quadratic formula again?
It’s okay, just skip the question and move onto something he understood. He’s got this.
-
That test was super easy! Denki managed to even turn it in early, studying was definitely something he should try to do more ofte-
“Kaminari, I am going to need to speak to you after class.”
Maybe not. Studying was definitely over rated.
-
“Wasssup!” Dazai said as he jumped out from behind the door.
Chuuya nearly jumped out of his skin! “What the hell Dazai?”
“Sorry, I just got back from being a super awesome friend to the hero students, something that was obviously too difficult for a slug, like you.”
“I don’t believe that for a second.”
“I was helping our dear friend Kaminari prepare for his finals.”
“Oh let me guess, hmm,” maybe Dazai was actually trying to become friends with the hero brats, but did he have to pick this one? “What, did you tutor him wrong or something?”
…
“Oh shit! You actually did?” Despite knowing that this was something his partner would definitely do, he couldn’t stop the shock that filled his body.
“Does chibi doubt me that much?”
-
The final was super easy. Probably one of the easiest things Dazai had completed in his whole life, you would have to be a total idiot to fail a test like this-
“Kaminari, I’m going to need to speak to you after class.”
Dazai almost couldn’t suppress the laugh that threatened to escape his lips.
These heroes really were more gullible than he thought.
Notes:
Kaminari: wow their strength is almost inhuman 🤩
Dazai: what did you just say about my boyfriend?
Proceeds to tutor him wrong 😝Thanks for reading! This chapter was probably one of my favorites to write and I hope it was one of your favs too!!! Thanks again to everyone who has left kudos or commented it means the world to me!!! Bye y’all!

Chapter Text
“That test killed me!” Mina cried, “I can’t even imagine how hard it would’ve been without your tutoring, Dazai. Thank you so much!”
“Of course! I love helping my classmates out.” Dazai grinned.
As the students’ lunch was ending, a familiar head of blonde hair made its way through the cafeteria.
“Ah, Kaminari-kun! How was the test?” Dazai allowed a wide smile to form on his face.
“I failed!”
“Oh no, that’s a shame~”
“Thanks for helping me study anyways, I guess I really am hopeless.”
“You know Kaminari-kun,” A student with dirty blonde hair tied into a ponytail made his way to their table, “If you ever want anyone else to help you study, I would love to be of service.”
What was this kid’s problem? And why the hell was he throwing shade at Dazai like that?
“Thank you Kunikida-bro, I’ll keep that in mind!”
-
“For the physical portion of the exam, you will be broken up into pairs and you will work together in an attempt to capture one of your teachers,” Aizawa said with a tired expression painted on his face.
“We’re going to be fighting pro heroes?” Someone from the class shouted.
“Yes, however the pro will be given quirk restrictions and they have been told not to injure any students.”
Chuuya couldn’t help but think how easy this test was going to be. Even without the restrictions, he was a Port Mafia Executive, and pro heroes stood no chance against him or his partner.
“You will be paired up today before the test tomorrow,” Aizawa continued to announce each of the groups:
Midoriya and Bakugo vs. All Might
Todoroki and Yaoyorozu vs. Eraserhead
Kaminari and Ashido vs. Nezu
Jiro and Koda vs. Present Mic
Iida and Ojirou vs. Powerloader
Asui and Tokoyami vs. Ectoplasm
Sero and Mineta vs. Midnight
Uraraka and Aoyama vs. Cementoss
Shoji and Hagakure vs. Snipe
Dazai and Kunikida (Whoever that was) vs. Nezu
Chuuya vs. All Might
“Uh, Aizawa-sensei,” Midoriya spoke up, “Some of these match-ups hardly seem fair, I mean how is Chuuya-kun supposed to face off against All Might by himself.”
Did these hero brats really think that little of him? Chuuya would destroy All Might in a fight, no problem.
“All of these pairings and match-ups were made by the principal so if you have any concerns, please don’t bother me with them,” Aizawa said as he zipped up his bright yellow sleeping bag and sank to the floor.

Chapter Text
“Is Chuuya jealous he didn’t get to be my partner?”
“Definitely not! I feel sorry for the kid who is stuck being your partner, shitty Dazai.”
“So what’s got your panties in a twist?” Dazai questioned.
“It’s nothing,”
“Ahhh is Chu-chu worried about his exam tomorrow?”
“Not in the way the hero brats would be,” Chuuya started, “Don’t you think it’s weird the principal would put a single student against the number one hero? It’s almost like he’s testing us to see what we’re really capable of.”
“Jeez Chibi,” Dazai let out a loud, annoyed groan, “Obviously a normal hero student wouldn’t be able to hold their own against a top hero, like All Might.”
“So, what, do I throw the fight?”
“Yeah, I mean we wouldn’t want our hero friends to feel weak, now would we?”
A wide grin formed on Chuuya’s face, “Of course not.”
After a long pause Dazai put his fingers on his chin and asked “Which one of the hero brats is Kunikida, again?”
Damn Dazai still hasn’t learned their names.
-
So it turns out Kunikida was the student with a major stick up his ass who had been sending Chuuya and him weird looks over the past few weeks.
“I don’t believe I’ve ever formally introduced myself, my name is Kunikida Doppo,” Blondie said as he bowed slightly.
“Dazai, Dazai Osamu,” Dazai replied flatly.
Kunikida continued, after realizing that was all he was going to get, “How should we go about this fight?”
Yet again, he wasn’t even given a second glance before being ignored.
Annoyed, Kunikida pulled out his notebook and began thinking of a plan.
A few quiet moments passed before Dazai burst out laughing, “Bahhahaha, do you seriously carry a book around with you that just says ‘Ideal’ on the cover?”
“Yes,” He pushed his glasses further up his nose, “It acts as a guide for how to live my ideal life and is a tool for my ability….”
Dazai couldn’t be bothered to listen to the rest of his monologue.
His mind was still focused on part of what the blonde had said:
“is a tool for my ability…”
What was an ability user doing here in Musutafu? He must know who Chuuya and Dazai were, right? Why else would he be glaring daggers at them constantly? At the very least he knew what the Port Mafia was, so why would he be messing with such a big organisation?
Dazai was knocked out of his thoughts, a few seconds later, by a loud and angry voice.
“Hey are you even listening to me?” Okay, the whole ability thing would have to wait, he would contact Mori about it.
Until then, he would have to focus on the mission at hand and not let unnecessary things distract him.
-
Something about Dazai really pissed Kunikida off.
Every time he opened his mouth he had the urge to just smack him.
Maybe it was his snarky tone, or the way he poked fun at nearly every word the blonde said. The most likely answer was probably the fact that he was a freaking Port Mafia Executive.
God how did he keep forgetting that?
-
“The practical exam begins NOW!!!” A muffled voice boomed from the speakers.
As Kunikida and Dazai made their way through the exam-city, Dazai couldn’t help the feeling of dread that had formed in his stomach.
It was a feeling that he, the feared Demon Prodigy of the Port Mafia, didn’t get very often. So why, why was he suddenly getting such a feeling now, when he was facing a literal rat.
Maybe it was his incompetent partner, who didn’t look like he had a worry in the world, or maybe, just maybe, he missed having his trustworthy partner by his side.
“Hi Mister Demon!”
Dazai stopped dead in his tracks.
Why was that damn detective here? Wasn’t he supposed to fight the principal? Surely there were cameras, he would have to be careful with what he said now.
“Why hello there, Mister Detective,” an empty smile formed on Dazai’s face, “What brings you here?”
-
Chuuya’s practical exam was going to be a fight against All Might, ALL MIGHT!!!
What kind of psycho makes a teenager the number one hero by themself?
Sure, if Chuuya didn’t have to watch his strength, he would destroy the ‘Symbol of Peace’ in a fight. No problem. But while he was pretending to be a student, he would have to lose the fight.
While he was still deep in his thoughts, a static voice came over the speakers, “The practical exam begins NOW!!!”
Chuuya wasn’t competing in the first wave of exams (All Might was facing Midoriya and Bakugo), so he sat by himself watching all of the exams take place.
He watched as most of 1A tried their best to fight the pros, and if Chuuya was honestly speaking, they weren’t half bad. Sure some were more impressive than others, but there were very few students he saw who he would say had no potential.
He was probably the most impressed by Yoayorozu and her quick planning and problem solving.
Chuuya was far too engrossed watching the fights, so engrossed, in fact, that he failed to notice the one fight not being broadcasted to his screen.
Dazai’s fight.
The red head continued to watch the fights until the ten minute timer rang signaling the end of the exams. As time ran out, he stood and began to make his way to the door, pumped up and ready for his fight.
Just because he had to lose didn’t mean he couldn’t put up a fight, right?
-
The moment the familiar, crackly voice echoed over the faux city beginning the exam, Chuuya was off.
He quickly bounded towards the exit when something (or someone) landed heavily on the concrete.
From within the smoke, he heard a booming voice laugh, “Hahaha, I am here!”
Chuuya couldn’t help the smile that formed on his face, this was going to be so much fun!

Thanks for reading until the end!!! If you have any suggestions I would love to incorporate your ideas into the story, thanks again for reading and I hope you enjoyed!!!

Hi everyone! I’m sorry I haven’t posted in a while, a lot of things have been going on and there just wasn’t any time. I’ve also had major writer’s block and have just been regretting every choice I’ve made while writing. I don’t think I can continue writing this. Thank you again to everyone who’s commented or left kudos and I’m sorry if any of you were looking forward to the next chapter (I might rewrite the whole fic in the future if I get a lot of inspiration), but, for now, I won’t post anymore.
