I Love You. (And you'll love me)

Summary:

There's something treading behind Giyuu.

It's very presence unnerves him

OR

He's being followed

Chapter Text

There is something watching Giyuu.

Its eyes burn its place on his back.

The canopy shades over the sun, letting everything come out of hiding.

There's things crawling on him, which he has to swipe off his leg.

His hands sweat, waves of sudden frost travel beneath his skin.

“Greetings.” The entity spoke.

His face pales as he turns around.

That is not a demon.

Its grotesque figure bulges, yellow-green skin thin as paper.

There's multiple bones and organs protruding from the skin, the rotting flesh creating a nauseating smell.

Clotted blood drips in clumps, lying on the ground.

The figure is thin, its limbs hanging by a dirtied rusted red string.

Eye crust is all over its face, cracking off with every facial expression.

The forest of silence, except for the labored wheezes of the monster.

He truly regrets taking some time to check the area around his patrolling section.

It takes a step, the skin on the feet nearly gone.

It's muscles remaining on the feet fall off, like a deteriorating demon.

Giyuu backs away, unsheathing his sword.

He backs into a clearing, staring with horror as the sun burns the skin very little, sending the stench of burning flesh through the air.

“What are you?” He asks, forcing his mouth to form a sentence.

“You should know who I am.”

Its previous hairless scalp grows sudden hair, reaching down to what can rarely be called a waist, let alone a clean one.

The hair braids itself as it goes down, forming a long French braid.

It pulls a coral ribbon stained with red and green, then ties it onto its hair.

It sweetens its voice horribly, sending a ear-raping tone out the clearing.

“Do you recognize me now?”

Once bloodied eyes clear up, turning sapphire blue.

Giyuu’s fingers are twitching b now as he tightly grips his tsuba(sword handle)

He lets out a deep exhale, and adds a neutral expression onto his face, ignoring his racing pulse.

“Water Breathing: 3rd form, Flowing Dance!”

The Pillar shoots towards the thing, beheading it.

Its head flies off, the body crumbling to the ground.

He shakes his sword, the purple-ish green flesh sliding off his sword.

He sheaths it, and sprints back to the headquarters.

The headless body slowly stands, the same, long hair and blue eyes reforming on another head.

It grins, slowly walking behind the figure in the distance.

“You'll love me, even if I have to make you.”

Chapter 2: I'm tired of you already.

Summary:

Haha idk he sees it again

Chapter Text

He walks faster than normal, his heartbeat thudding in his chest. He inhales sharply, focusing on the world in front of him.

Inhale, hold, exhale.

Inhale, hold, exhale.

The scent of wisteria soon fades into scenery, surprising him slightly. He tilts his head upwards, closing them for a few seconds to bask in the.. well, everything.

He reaches his estate, glancing down at the awkward steps. He slides open the door, slipping off his sandals.

He shuts the door a bit harder than intended, walking methodically through the halls to his small kitchen. It's quaint, but cozy in his opinion. He opens his icebox, taking out a frozen salmon.

He peacefully cooks the food, setting it down with a cup of black tea.

It takes only a few minutes the finish the food, him staring outside as he does so. He finishes relatively quickly, going unnoticed as he stares out the window.

His hand can't help but twitch at sight of a sudden flash of sudden color outside, his heart speeding up.

Could it be?

His hand twitches, reaching for a sword that isn't there. His heart thuds in his chest, making a shiver go down his back.

A knock sounds from the door, scaring him.

“Relax, Giyuu! Don't be a baby!”

He suddenly stands, slowly walking towards the door. He freezes as his hand touches the sliding door.

He musters the courage, and forces the door open.

There stands TsutakoKochou.

“Tomioka-san?” She chirps. “I was just about to leave with how long you were taking!”

“....Kochou.” He subconciously steps to the side, making space for her to walk through.

He's in a good mood today!

She looks around, curious on how empty it looks.

“Ara, Tomioka-san? Could I ask why it's so empty here?”

He keeps walking, shoulders tense, as if anticipating something.

He slows to a stop, turning around.

“Why are you here?”

She pauses, remembering what she saw earlier.

She was walking back to the Butterfly Mansion, walking from the master's estate after a mission report, when she saw something.

Something horrid.

Its bones were jutted out in places where bones shouldn't exist, its fundamental parts rotting in real time. Cracked lips, eyes cloudy. Its pupils looked around frantically in different directions, each to its own.

It set unnatural fear in her.

She trembles, her hand rushing to its place on her sword handle.

What is that?

Yet, it looked distinctly like her comrade.

The hair and eyes were identical to her fellow coworker.

She snaps out of it, her smile thinning in the slightest.

“I saw someone, and they reminded me of you! The same hair and eyes, but they looked..”

How should I put this?

“...Different.”

Yeah. Different.

Giyuu's hand twitches. It trembles in the slightest, darting to where the handle to his sword would be.

Her eyes narrow, catching the slight shake.

“....Did they look.. unnatural?”

Kochou's eyes widen.

Has he seen it before? Is it another case like Nezuko-chan?

“And how did you know that?”

He stays silent.

“Tomioka-san? Are you going to answer?”

He turns, his posture rigid.

“You can leave now.”

Her smile dims slightly.

“Well.”

Her silhouette flutters away, following her.

…………………………………………………….

It straggles, limping in the direction of the butterfly lady.

The barren estate fades into view, right as she darts by, seemingly avoiding it.

Why does everyone avoid me?

It seems to frown, slowly letting go of the tree trunk it held tightly.

I don't like this…

It pauses, feeling the gore neck with it's sickly green fingers. They trace the edge of where the sword cut it, wincing at the feel of the acidic blood dripping.

It stands, the injuries gone once again.

I did it again!

It begins to run, the evening sun doing no good to the burnt flakes of flesh crackling every so softly.

…………………………………..…….…………

Giyuu shuts the door after Kochou's departure, pinching the bridge of his nose.

Why did she have to bring that up?

He sighs, letting his hand drop down. He walks toward his front door, slipping on his sandals.

I'm sure night patrol will help me forget.

He gently opens the door, his blood running cold.

In the dark, he glimpses eyes staring at him, contrasting the constant shadow in the environment.

Are you fucking serious.

“Haha! I found you again!”

It uncontrollably twitches, grinning.

Giyuu's pupils contract, staring at the unatural Person Thing.

The thing stands, at its full height. It’s taller than Giyuu, not by too much, but it's still dangerously tall.

“You sho-”

It gets cut off by Giyuu bolting past it, already at the beginning of his territory.

“No fair! Get back here, Hashira!”

It shrinks, following at a much slower pace. It rumbles past, the loud rustling of plants and creaking of branches terrifying the small (and big) animals around.

“Hashira! Hashira! Come out from your hiding spot!”

It looks around again, the trail of footsteps cut off. Everything looks normal, even the grass where the trail should've continued stayed unbothered.

It exhales deeply, attempting to hear for humanoid breathing. It doesn't work, so it gives up.

……………………………………………….……

Giyuu trembles once the presence is gone.

I could've sworn I beheaded that thing!

He exhales deeply, beginning to patrol through the required territory around his estate.

Everything seems more.. Sinister ever since he saw that thing for the first time.

The shadows grew larger, and it's quieter without the familiar sounds of chirping insects.

(Omfg I forgot about this😭)

He treads more carefully than normal as he reaches the same area where he met.. it. For the first time.

He reaches the end of his territory, and the moment he spots the navy blue markers, he turns around.

He nearly runs back to his estate, sweat beading on his forehead. He takes a deep breath once it's in sight, relaxing at the thought of being inside and safe.

He slowly rapidly, walking by the time he's at the door.

He slides it open, pinching his nose bridge in annoyance at the sight in front of him.

There it was, sitting on the floor, staring at him.

Nii-chan!”

“Hashira!”
