It was too hot outside, the fan was too old and didn’t work properly, and the two people he considered to be his closest family were too busy arguing in the kitchen.
“Are you… attempting to nap away the summer heat…?”
Golden, his boyfriend, asked in a mixture between being amused and concerned, Fox didn’t bother to open his eyes to look at the shorter blonde.
Fox’s mouth twitched slightly in annoyance.
“For your concern, I’m trying to meditate, not taking some dumb nap.”
Fox corrected Golden, annoyed, he felt like he was going to melt his ass off in the summer heat.
He’d kill to be somewhere with an insane amount of air conditioning on, for an ice cold soda and maybe some ice cream too.
If he could humanly do it, he’d freeze himself in order to not feel this abhorrent heat.
But no, he can’t, he just has to deal with it.
“Anyway, why are Meg and Spring arguing in the kitchen? Just straight up wasting energy in this weather.” Fox asked Golden, clearing his throat, changing the subject.
“Honestly, no idea… I think Spring forgot to put the ice in the freezer? Pretty odd if you ask me.” Golden answered Fox’s question, although a bit unsure himself.
Fox failed to hide a snort as he heard the reasoning behind Meg and Spring’s arguing in the kitchen.
“That’s dumb as hell.” Fox said, still chuckling, a smile showing up on his freckled face, showing his naturally sharp teeth.
“I know!” Golden exclaimed in response to Fox’s words, letting out a soft giggle at the absurdity, his face gaining a soft, pink hue.
