Chapter Text
"We have to get him to a hospital." Moxxie said firmly as he stared at Stolas' barely breathing body.
"No." Marcy replied in a low tone.
Moxxie frowned. "Marcy, I get that you care, but we were here first, and Blitz was the one who told us to take care of Prince Stolas."
"I made a promise to Octavia to keep her dad safe! I can't just back out of that!" Marcy said, her voice cracking.
Millie put a hand on Marcy's shoulder. "We understand, sugar. But what Stolas really needs is medical treatment. Let us take him to Sloth, okay?"
Marcy hesistated. Then, she sighed and agreed as she helped the two imps carry the injured Stolas into the battered van while getting in the van herself.
Moxxie started the engine and proceeded to head to St. An's hospital. The van eventually made it to it's destination some time later, with Anne, Blitz and Loona stepping out of the hospital doors.
Anne's stomach dropped upon seeing the van. "Wait. What happened?"
Before anyone could answer-
"LOOK OUT!"
Anne tackled Blitz to the ground just as a wave of medical staff rushed past them while carrying Stolas in a stretcher, with Anne and Blitz unaware.
There was also a bunch of reporters and cameramen that joined in afterward.
"Anne, the crisis has been averted. You can get off me now." Blitz said, his voice muffled in the pavement.
"Oh, right! Sorry." Anne instantly helped Blitz up as the latter dusted himself off.
But then he noticed a feather on the ground, and he picked it up for a closer look, his eyes wide with shock seconds later.
The feather was a familar bluish gray, with inky black blood stains.
"Alright, what the hell happened?" Blitz demanded in angered confusion as he held the feather in front of Moxxie and Millie, who shared a look of concern.
It was Millie who eventually spoke. "Stolas got hurt, bad."
Blitz's expression changed into worry. "Stolas got what?" He noticed the paparazzi in front of the hospital, with Anne doing the same thing while also looking concerned.
"How.. He can get hurt?"
The quiet tone in Blitz's voice was enough for Marcy to speak up.
"He can, and he did."
Anne and Blitz turned to look at Marcy in shock, clearly unaware that she was even here as she stepped out of the van.
"Marcy? What are you doing here? How did you get here?" Anne asked, still confused.
Marcy took a deep breath before she spoke. "I wanted to help save Stolas too. But Moxxie and Millie insisted that I should let them take him to Sloth, so I went along with them."
However, she couldn't be calm for long, for she slowly felt her lips quivering. She eventually broke down completely as she sobbed uncontrollably.
Anne instantly went to Marcy's side and hugged her while the latter continued to sob.
"I promised Octavia I'd help bring Stolas home safely! But I-I couldn't even do that! I broke my promise!"
This time, Blitz stepped in after hearing what Marcy said as he patted her head gently.
"You did what you could, kid. But I'm sure both Stolas and Octavia wouldn't want to see you hurt. Plus, I bet Octavia would be grateful for you helping to give her dad medical treatment. Don't worry."
Marcy seemed to be a bit more at ease when it comes to Blitz's words, and she managed to stop crying.
"Tell you what. I could check on Stolas for you while M&M take you back to the palace. Anne could even come with you, if you want."
Hearing that suggestion, Marcy nodded. Even Anne seemed to agree. And with that in mind, everyone except Blitz got in the van.
The paparazzi slowly departed in the process, eventually making the hospital entrance empty.
After the van drove off, Blitz took a deep breath and went in the hospital, unexpectedly nervous but also determined to make sure that Stolas turned out okay.
"C'mon, birdbrain." Blitz muttered. "You better not die, for Satan's sake."

Ok, I know that this chapter is short, but this is a mix between being hopeful and ambiguous with the ending. Hope you enjoyed it! 😅
Chapter 2: OUT OF SIGHT AND OUT OF MIND
Summary:
What would happen if Stolas had his eyes removed by Striker by the time Moxxie, Millie and Marcy arrive at the mineshaft?
And what if Marcy did something that would change everyone's lives in the most twisted way imaginable?
Notes:
This would be another "TOO YOUNG" alternate plot, but more dark. You have been warned. 😨

Chapter Text
Marcy landed softly on the ground, her talons from her demon disguise barely making a sound in the mineshaft.
The mineshaft itself was eerily quiet, which made her be a bit unsettled.
That's weird. I could've sworn Moxxie and Millie were here, Marcy thought.
She looked around, carefully examining her surroundings. That's when she finally spotted Moxxie and Millie, but she also noticed something that instantly made her blood run cold.
Stolas, injured while laying on the train tracks and bound with blessed rope, apparently lost his eyes. All four of them, to be exact.
Moxxie was muttering something with panic and regret. "Oh, crumbs! We were too late!"
Too late? Too late?! It can't be. Marcy refused to believe that.
Millie started to comfort Moxxie. "Breathe, baby. We couldn't catch Striker in time, but that doesn't mean we can't save Stolas. We still got a chance."
Moxxie instantly relaxed, slowly nodding his head. "Yeah. You're right. We better hurry and take him to the hospital."
Marcy silently watched from afar as Moxxie and Millie gently carried the unconscious prince into the IMP van before closing the van's doors and driving off minutes later.
She stayed in the mineshaft alone, her expression still filled with horror and disbelief.
She couldn't bear to bring the news to Octavia. Yet, her inner thoughts tell her that she should. Realizing that it's her only choice, Marcy flew back to Stolas' palace, knowing that Octavia would be waiting for both her dad and Marcy to return.
And sure enough, Octavia was still in her dad's room pacing around anxiously until Marcy stepped into the room with a heavy heart as she reverted back into a human.
Octavia instantly turned around upon seeing her friend, noticing that something's wrong. "Marcy? What happened? And where's Dad?"
Marcy lowered her head quietly as she said, "Your dad, he.. He's severely injured. He lost all four of his eyes, and he's currently at the hospital being treated as we speak."
Octavia's breath hitched and her eyes widened with horror. "No. W-who's responsible for this?!"
"Someone named Striker, apparently." Marcy said, her eyes suddenly narrowed and her jaw and fists both clenched. "I'll find out what he looks like, and I swear I'll show him no mercy!"
"Don't."
Marcy looked at Octavia, looking greatly shocked. Then she looked pissed.
"Don't? What do you mean, 'Don't?!' I promised you that I bring your dad home, and I failed! There has to be something I can do to make it up to you! There really has to!"
"Not by revenge, Marcy." Octavia began firmly, although deep down she sort of wished for it.
"If Dad's in the hospital and this Striker guy managed to get away uncaught when it comes to what he did, there's nothing you can do. Even I can't do anything about it."
Marcy still looked upset, and even looked like she was about to cry. Octavia noticed this and softly added, "I'm not going to blame you for this. You did your best."
She hugged Marcy gently, making the latter be at ease for a little while.
But as the days goes by, Marcy was still depressed. Even when she and Octavia eventually went to see Stolas in the hospital, with him alive yet permanantly blind, which was a tragic sight for both Octavia and Marcy.
Still, despite her depression, Marcy tried her best to be optimistic as much as she can.
Things changed, however, as soon as Stolas was released from the hospital. Apparently, Blitz had caught wind of Stolas' injury some time ago, so he started visiting the palace more often to help the prince out.
That wasn't a bad thing, since Octavia, who intially hated the imp, grew to like having him around.
Anne also visited the palace like she usually would, with Loona joining in afterward. Even Sasha, who Anne managed to reunite with some time later, would join in too.
What did become a bad thing was how Stolas seemed off. Mentally off, to be exact. He would either refuse to eat/drink anything at times, or he would just sit on his bed quietly without speaking to anyone.
He wasn't trying to be rude or act all spoiled; there's just something that he felt for a long time, yet he can't let anyone know for their sakes.
Until one night. That very night where Stolas had a talk with Blitz in private in the former's room, in a quiet yet firm voice, asking the latter to do one thing: take Stolas' life.
It turned out that the prince wanted to be erased from existance for a while, believing that since he basically can't see, there's no use staying alive.
Obviously, Blitz outright refused, and he encouraged Stolas to not give up so easily, which did the trick eventually.
Little did they know, however, was that both Marcy and Octavia had been listening to the whole thing, which resulted in the latter angrily confronting Stolas about this as soon as she opened the bedroom door.
It only took a few minutes of crying and reassuring to resolve the issue, but Marcy, who only said a simple ok when she was reassured by Stolas as well, was slowly becoming mentally off herself.
At first, nobody noticed this, but over time, they eventually did. Marcy would often spend her time hiding in Octavia's closet, closing the doors behind as she sat in the darkness.
She also would refuse to eat, drink and talk. Sometimes, whenever she's not in the closet, she would go to Stolas' carnivorus plants.
But instead of using careful precision when she tossed some raw meat into their mouths, she had this dazed look in her eyes as she got her hand inside without realizing it until someone had to pull her hand out to prevent it from being fully bitten off.
Then came the final straw. Marcy was at her breaking point, for she couldn't bear to see Stolas blind anymore.
Sure, he was adjusting, but it made his duties as prince very difficult, even with help from other people. So she had a plan set in motion, and it was considered to be risky.
One morning, Stolas woke up to bits of light peeking through the blindfold--wait a minute. Light? That can't be right. He cautiously sat up and removed the blindfold, trying to be sure he wasn't dreaming.
A sudden flash of light along with a shocked squawk from Stolas as he fell off the bed was a clear sign he wasn't dreaming after all.
He was also greatly confused as he found himself being able to see everything again. But how? He ran to the vanity, only to tear up in an instant as he looked in the mirror.
His eyes were no longer dark, scarred and hollow, for they were restored, healthy and red like nothing happened.
"Oh my Lucifer.." Stolas whispered in shock as he stared at the reflection with his newly healed eyes.
Footsteps suddenly approached Stolas' room, and it was none other than Octavia who went to him with concern.
"Dad, are you okay? I heard noises from your room."
Octavia then gasped in shock as Stolas turned to her with his restored (and currently still teary) eyes.
"Via... I-I can see again!"
He immediately went to her with a hug, very delighted at the fact that he wasn't dreaming.
Octavia was happy as well, but confusion started to replace that joy afterward.
"How is this possible? Do you have any idea how your eyes are healed, Dad?"
"No, I have no idea." Stolas replied, equally puzzled.
That's when he started look around the room for clues. Octavia joined in on the search.
It looked like there was no clue as they searched, though. But then, Octavia noticed something off on Stolas' bookshelves.
"Uh, Dad? Is it just me, or does your grimoire have a stain?"
"Wait, what?"
Stolas went over to the bookshelves and instantly took out the grimoire for a closer look. The front and side of it did, in fact, had a few stains.
Before he could clean it up, however, he carefully inspected them, only to look shocked and horrified.
The stains turned out to be blood. Not inky black blood, but crimson red blood.
Octavia looked greatly confused at her father's reaction until she saw the blood herself.
"Why would there be blood all of a sudden? Blitz is using the crystal I gave him instead of my grimoire now, so it doesn't make sense!" Stolas muttered anxiously.
Octavia, at that point, managed to notice something else as she kept looking around the room that put her off guard.
"Dad, look! There's blood on the floor as well!"
Stolas looked at where his daughter was pointing and instantly felt unsettling chills. Apparently, the blood made a little trail that led to the hallway.
Stolas then turned to Octavia with a calm look. "Via, sweetie, is Marcy still asleep in your room?"
"I don't think so. I was the only one in there when I woke up. Why do you ask?"
"I'm thinking that perhaps we should try and see if she could help us out with this."
With Octavia agreeing to that idea, Stolas headed out to the hallway and followed the trail, with the former joining in afterward.
The two Goetias kept following the blood stained trail, the stains itself being a bit larger than the next in every step being taken.
The trail eventually came to an end as soon as Stolas and Octavia went to the kitchen.
"Marcy? Are you there?"
The kitchen was strangely quiet. Too quiet, even. Stolas and Octavia looked around, trying to find Marcy-- until Octavia turned to an area and let out sudden scream of horror.
Stolas was instantly worried and was about to ask what's wrong, but he soon got his answer once he stared at the direction Octavia was looking at, his white pupils shaking with fear and disbelief.
There was Marcy, next to one of the carnivorous plants, her body unconcious on the ground. The worst part?
Her eyes were gone. Blood trickled out of her eye sockets and onto the floor.
The two Goetias ran to Marcy, with Stolas lifting her head up while Octavia cried.
"Marcy! Please wake up! What did you do to your eyes?!" Octavia desperately pleaded.
Stolas looked at Marcy's limp body one moment before looking at his blood stained grimoire the next, instantly putting two and two together.
"No.. She couldn't have.."
"She couldn't have what, Dad?! What did she do?!" Octavia demanded.
"..She used a spell that would restore my eyes while mutilating her own as a result." Stolas replied in a tone filled with horror and disbelief.
Octavia hitched her breath at the answer. Then she started to cry again. "Dad, we have to save her! Please say there is a way!"
"I'll try, Via. I'll try."
And with that, Stolas did everything he could to save Marcy by quickly finding and reciting as much spells as he can.
However, none of them worked. Stolas refused to believe that so he tried again.
The results were the same.
"No! No No No No!"
Stolas checked Marcy's pulse, panic rising really fast. He didn't want to think that he and Octavia were too late.
But they were.
No pulse was found at all.
She was already gone.
Stolas was numb with shock. Then he eventually broke down in tears. Octavia cried again once more.
They lost a special friend.
And eventually, two certain girls who knew Marcy would find out too.

Chapter 3: ONE DOOR CLOSES WHILE ANOTHER OPENS
Summary:
What if Anne didn't get her chance to get Barbie Wire to hear Blitz out?
Notes:
Hello everyone! 👋
Here is a bittersweet alternate ending to PLEASE JUST LOOK MY WAY BARBIE WIRE from IF SHE WAS THERE.
Hope you like it. 😃
(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)
Chapter Text
Anne, Blitz, and Moxxie put their best effort in sparring Barbie Wire and the human. It was a rather intense fight, in fact, in the boathouse.
The fight dragged on, tension mounting. Then— A firework rocket whistled through the air.
"ANNE, LOOK OUT!" Blitz shouted.
Moxxie lunged, shielding Anne. The human wasn’t so lucky.
The firework hit. Blood splattered. Silence followed.
Anne stared at the remains of the human, her stomach twisting.
"Oh my God…" she whispered.
"It’s okay," Moxxie murmured, placing a hand on her shoulder. "It’s over."
Barbie, furious, screamed in rage. "SATAN FUCKING DAMMIT! Thanks a lot, Blitzo! Now I’m out of a job!"
She turned to storm off.
"Wait!"
Blitz called after her. "Let me help you—please! We can even catch up over dinner. Please.. Don't leave."
Barbie stopped. Laughed bitterly.
"You don’t GET it!" she snapped, jabbing a finger at him. "I NEVER want to see you again!"
Anne was about to say something, but it was already too late.
Barbie quickly marched off and pressed her Asmodean Crystal. A shimmering diamond portal appeared, leading back to Hell. She stepped through it and peered out.
“Next time you wanna find me Blitzo…DON’T!”
She vanished and the portal closed. Blitz stood heartbroken and Moxxie had his head in his hands.
Blood covered the floors, walls, and the imps, with Anne (still in disguise) being the only one clean.
Blitz, feeling numb, couldn’t believe after all the time he spent searching for her, she had vanished again.
“..Sir? Are you okay?” Moxxie asked as he stared at his boss in concern a few minutes later.
The silence and the heartbroken expression that still remained on Blitz's face was enough for Moxxie to know that the former wasn't ok after all.
With that, Moxxie decided to slip out and check on Millie, making Anne attempt to follow him before Moxxie stopped her.
"You should stay here, Anne. It would be best if you kept Blitz company for a while until he feels better."
Anne nodded as she watched Moxxie leave the boathouse afterward.
She then watched as Blitz silently sat on the ground, all while continuing to look upset.
Sighing softly to herself, Anne slowly went over to Blitz while reverting back to her human form and sat next to him with a sympathetic look on her face.
The two of them shared a moment of silence for a while before Blitz suddenly spoke in a shaky, depressed voice, "She hates me."
Anne looked at Blitz, opening her mouth to retort, only for the latter to continue.
"After 15 years of trying to reunite with her. Trying to make amends with her. I still got the cold shoulder. I don't need her to forgive me for what happened. I just... I just want to see her again! Maybe even get a smile from her. But I know she might try to find a place where I would never find her again. She's probably already looking by now."
Anne stayed quiet, feeling bad that she couldn't do more to help.
She thought about trying to say something comforting. Something that would get Blitz to not lose hope just yet.
But all she could actually do was hug the blood covered imp (much to his surprise) as she said, "I'm sorry."
Blitz just continued to look at Anne in silent shock for a while, for he was unsure how to respond.
But afterward, he slowly found himself crying softly, which led him to eventually sob uncontrollably as he hugged Anne tightly.
And he didn't let go. Not yet.
