“Steve Rogers had often been told that he was below average height and build. He was asthmatic, frail and had numerous health issues and this made him appear weak. However Steve felt as if this was as an unfair depiction of him as tonight would suggest.
The bully raised his foot to kick Steve down and without thinking Steve grabbed the nearest thing he could reach, a dirty old trash can lid and held it above his body allowing the bully’s foot to smack into the lid which earned Steve an “Ow”.
Inspired by this, Steve, still on his back, threw the lid into the bully’s stomach, making him buckle over and groan, tripping over one of the bullies and landing on the floor. Just then the mystery boy, who appeared to have taken on the other two bullies at the same time who were both looking worse for wear shouted at them “Now if you know what good for you, scram.”
Steve watched as the bullies took off, not looking back.”

Becoming a vigilante was never supposed to be anything more than a way to train for becoming a hero. But now that he is here… he might as well help out as many people as he possible can. Sure, maybe he'll just get in the heroes' way and maybe he ended up helping a few criminals a long the way, but he wasn't going to give up!
Becoming a hero was what he lived for, after all. Without that… What was even the point? What was the point of anything?
It shouldn't be too hard. He just needed to cover himself up, not speak in case anyone recognised his voice, and avoid using his quirk when people could see it. That, at least, he could do. All he needed to do was lay low and avoid getting into unnecessary situations.
Easier said than done. He seemed to draw in unnecessary situations.

Meanwhile, the only way to protect his students and allies in the meantime is to strike backdoor deals with the higher-ups and convince the kids to get stronger, using the right (?) incentives.
As for protecting his own sanity? That's a work in progress. Not that it should affect him that much.
