Why
Why would someone like her love a violent being like him? That’s the question most of her friends (and by that I mean Pico and Tankman) do yo cassette girl ever since she made official her relationship with the mercenary Hank.
“I just don’t get it, you are the calmest person in the group, I thought you were gonna make better decisions??” Said Pico
“You were supposed to be the chosen one” said Tankman holding his head
“I never proclaimed myself as any of those titles” said the android, confused still with her calm tone and face.
“They are just messing with you” said gf who was sitting next to her. “I say you two make a lovely couple so why should we worry so much??”
“Look who is saying that…” Pico said notchalanly
It had been a couple of weeks since the two started dating. They weren’t really fond of letting the others know yet but a “honey” and a “yes?” Slipped the other day when the spooky kids were discussing what the thing bees make called. Really bad timing that the rest of the cast was in that room as well. So now the cat is out of the box.
“So only a few weeks together and you already started using pet names?? How cute” said gf all cutesy making Cassette girl get a bit flustered.
“Uh well it was mostly me, but they would also sometimes”
Tank looked puzzled but left a laugh “ha, who would say that crazy fuck had a soft spot!”
“I doubt it, I never saw him like that” said Pico angry
The blue b that was also in the room beep booped some bs that said “they would always give me death stare whenever I’m close to him…”
“Sweetie , they do that with almost everyone” said gf back to her love
“Yeah, almost everyone…” the green dude scoffed looking at the android.
“But that does beg the question, doesn’t he scare you when they get angry or scary??” Gf asked
Cassette girl shrugged calmly “Not really, I guess that’s because I know he won’t hurt me or anything, like that one time when…”
Flashback time
It was when the 2 of them were taking the subway together in a busy hour, there was so much noise Hank was getting irritated and even made some kids cry with the death stare he was giving all the time.
By the time they had to cross a big crowd, Cassette took Hank’s hand so they wouldn’t get separated. The noise and disturbance was getting louder and more annoying, making Hank squeeze Cass’s hand.
But the moment her hand twitched by the big force, the big scary mercenary noticed and switched his hand from her hand to her hoodie sleeve, making sure he wasn’t holding her arm or her hair in the process.
When they finally got out of the subway, Hank quickly checked to see if they accidentally hurt Cass and apologized to her for being so irritated.
End of flashback
“And sometimes when we get on the train, he would hug me so I wouldn’t fall” Cass was telling the others with a cute smile and blush on her face.
The rapping couple was awwing at the story, while the other two in the room were surprised about the self control that idiot could have.
Gf asked for another story and Cass kept going.
“One time when they got home after a stressful mission, he was being so tired and mad, they just hugged me softly till they calmed down.
There was this other day we failed to bake a cake so he got very angry, but later he was fidgeting with my hair while I was ordering pizza.”
“Aww that’s so sweet. What more??”
“There was this time after bf challenged him to a rap battle, when we got back home they were pretty mad too and-…..”
Suddenly, the room got quiet.
“What, what happened??” Tank said confused as he noticed that Cassette was getting a bit flustered, making him let out a “oooo”
“What?! What happened!?” Pico screamed concerned
“Uh- sorry I got distracted, they just went to their room until they calmed down I promise” said the android going back to her normal face
“If you say so girl” said Gf serene like she actually believed her.
Pico and Tankman didn’t try to seem that believe but anyways.
They all keep on talking for some hours about other stuff until it was hour for all of them to leave the Hassette apartment.
Cassette girl said goodbye to gf as she closed the door now being all alone in the apartment…. Or was she??
“Alright they are gone you can come out now” said Cassette girl to her partner who was locked in their bedroom.
This one getting out finally out of there, quietly as ever before but with a notably annoyed face, at least for Cass.
“Hey it seems that they are ok with us being together, don't worry” she said calmly.
That was until Hank spoke in his low tired voice “you shared too much…” he said while covering what’s show of his face with their hand.
Cass new what they were talking about, the sharing of the cute moments they had together and the out of character(at least for the others) he would get for her, the others will probably annoy Hank about it now. But it didn’t seem that bad.
“What are you talking about?? I just can’t help but talk about us now that we can” said Cass tenderly as she hugged her partner.
A hug that was reciprocated with still that annoyed tone in his voice “yeah I get that but I’m not talking about that”
“Mnn?? Idk what you are talking about honey” she said as she didn’t actually know what they were talking about.
That was until she was suddenly pushed to the wall with a hand in the back of her head to not hurt it and another one holding her waist towards her partner’s
“Does this ring any bells??” Hank said clearly annoyed, his face was so close to her, she was able to see his eyes through their red googles.
Cassette girl wanted to just teased them but didn’t think they would do this reminder. She couldn’t help but slightly blush at the sudden movement.
That time they had that rap battle, a similar situation happened, but they didn’t go more than just that moment before Hank backed out.
“Ohhh you are talking about that anecdote. Don’t worry I didn’t actually told what happened” said the android calmly.
“Mabye but that silence spoke more.”
And they were kinda right. Tankman wasn't the one with the cleanest mind out of the cast, he totally believes now they did something more that time. And while the rest probably didn’t go to that scene in their minds, they are probably suspicious now.
“Well maybe, but it's still fine, we talked for hours so they probably won’t think about that. You worry too much honey” she said as she was holding his face in her hands, making him look less angry and more flustered.
“Stop calling me that…”
“Aww why tho?? I thought you liked that” she said as she was fidgeting with Hank’s mask, trying to slowly take it off. But her hand was stopped by his.
“What are you doing? This is serious…”
“Well, the situation doesn’t need to be that serious and I’m trying to calm it down” plus she kinda wishes something did happen that time.
“By kissing?? If you think that’s gonna make me forget what you did…”
She was totally right about that.
Yeah it only required some convincing for them to start having a session of cute little kisses until Hank has totally forgotten what happened and just thought of the beautiful girlfriend he has.
They finished the day by cuddling in Hank’s bed and sleeping in each other’s arms.
