Chapter Text
💌 Travis POV —
I woke up to the sound of my father shouting at me from down the stairs. Jeez what did I do now...not scrub the floors enough?
"TRAVIS GET DOWN HERE NOW!" My father shouted, his voice a booming roar. If I could compare it to anything it would be like those dinosaur roars you see in the Jurassic Park movies but this time, they can actually talk.
"Yes father?.." I said as I walked down the steps, keeping my head low, trying to appease him.
"What did I tell you about the dishes." Father growled low, his voice low and threatening. "I told you, to NOT use the dishwasher? Why? Travis, why?" He dared.
".. because it's not working correctly.." I stated, my voice quiet, I could feel my body shaking, i looked down at my feet, I felt as if I was about to collapse and melt into the old hardwood.
"Wow, you actually listen! That's new for a brat like you!" My father grabbed my head, gripping my hair tightly making me look at him. "Look at me when I speak boy. You know your manners, use them." My father let me go. "Now, get ready for school, and may God help me I swear if I get another call from the school saying you got into another fight, I will beat you till you won't recognize yourself in the mirror."
I walked up the stairs, still trembling. Well...at least he didn't hit me this time. I got into my bedroom, I tried keeping it clean most of the time but it was hard to whenever I got hit with depressive episodes or when my dad comes in and screams at me or breaks something. I searched in my drawers for something to wear and spotted a button up shirt I haven't worn in a while. I put on and looked for a sweater to put over top of it. I found my normal purple sweater and pulled it on fixing the collar. I found some distressed blue jeans and put them on, I threw on my green shoes and I put my cross necklace on. I put gel in my hair..my brown roots were showing through.. I need to bleach them soon.
I grabbed my backpack and quickly left the house, trying to avoid my father, I started walking to school, my head stinging slightly from how rough my hair had been pulled.
