Mike snaps himself out of it. Nancy’s looking at him, expectantly. Mike doesn’t know when the tears started, but he wipes them after realizing his vision has gone blurry. He takes a deep breath. “I think you were right.” Mike says, sniffling.
Nancy walks into his room and closes the door. She places her hands on Mike’s shoulders. “Take some deep breaths, Mike, okay?” She says. Mike obliges and once he calms down, Nancy continues. “What’re you talking about?” It takes a moment for Mike to compose himself; to admit this to her, but eventually, he decides it’s time to rip off the Band-Aid.

Summary
