The day Bailey Avery Deamonne comes out is a relief to Amity Blight.

“I’m a girl,” she tells the world, and Amity breathes a sigh.

Thank fuck, she thinks. It’s always disturbed her that she found their friend so attractive, so adorable, so sweet, so pretty… Now she knows why. Bailey is a girl and Amity really, really, really likes girls. All girls, every girl. It’s kind of a problem.

“And I’m bi,” Bailey continues.

“No shit, babe.” Gus laughs.

“Babe?” Amity asks in worry. She was hoping Bailey might be looking for a girlfriend. Now that she and Luz are in an open relationship and Luz is dating Skara, Amity is looking for a new honey of her own and was hoping, somehow, for it to be Deamonne. Now that she knows Bailey’s a girl, the plan is suddenly a whole lot more viable.

Bailey laughs. “He’s just teasing,” she assures. “We aren’t secretly dating or anything like that. Why?” And then her pretty smile turns cheeky. “Were you jealous?”

Amity turns pink. “No!” But everyone knows how girl-crazy she is, especially Bailey Deamonne.

“Alright,” Bailey says teasingly. “Then I guess we’ll go out on Cryday as just friends?”
