Chapter 1: Sally Jackson POV

Chapter Text

If she thought she had faced hardship, it was nothing like this. Poseidon had left her because he wanted to protect the kids, but now that plan was backfiring. Sally has two children with Poseidon, twins, a girl and a boy. She had already named the boy Perseus (Percy for short) after the Greek hero. And she had named the girl Cameron (Cammie for short) because she thought the twins were both going to be guys. The kids both had sea green eyes like their father, but Percy had jet-black hair while Cammie had a light brown color. They may have looked different, but she loved both of them more than life itself. That was why she immediately married Gabe Ugliano, a man that reeked of human. But Gabe has told her right after they married, that he was generous, but he hated kids. He was forcing her to choose between her two children and put one up for adoption. It was the hardest decision that Sally had ever faced, but she finally choose to keep Percy and give Cammie to a nice mortal family. She knew that monsters would go after Percy more because he was a boy and he wanted to keep her baby close to her.

Now, a nice couple walked was talking with her as they discussed the adoption.

“I can’t have any kids,” Rachel Morgan admitted. The two Morgans seemed like nice people and they had an air about them that told her they’d love Cammie as their own daughter.

“We’ve been wanting to raise a family, and we promise we’ll take good care of her,” Matthew Morgan added. His voice had a quality to it that made Sally almost certain he was telling the truth.

“Okay,” She said sadly, “This is Cammie. Her brother Percy is staying with me.”

She held out her daughter for them and she was pleased when Rachel Morgan took the baby with gentle hands and pulled her close. Cammie was sleeping at that moment, and she looked amazingly peaceful. The two Morgans looked down at her with longing eyes and Sally smiled. They would be perfect for her baby girl.

They spent the rest of the afternoon working on adoption papers and when the Morgan’s left, they took the newly named Cameron Morgan with them.

Sally picked up her other child and rocked him carefully in her arms.

She felt a tear slide down her face and she sighed. She had had to give away one baby, no one was going to take Percy from her.
