Chapter Text
Lando was inspecting his cuticles, completely ignoring Lewis and Charles. Oscar sat beside him, patient and listening to their pack-parents.
“So, you agree, yes?” Charles finished, smiling tightly. He looked even more tired than he did last year, if that were possible. Lando narrowed his eyes. Pray for Lewis’ sanity. Ferrari was not for the faint of heart (Seb told him that years ago).
“I mean, I’m up for it. I like them, they’re nice kids,” Oscar scratched his chin.
“So you are okay with it?” Lewis said, crossing his arms. “I think you’ll do good,”
Oscar looked at his mate. “What do you think, love?”
The omega looked sheepish. “What is the question?”
Lewis snickered as both Charles and Oscar sighed.
“We’ll be the pack parents for the rookies,” Oscar informed.
Lando blinked. “Me?”
“You,” Charles nodded.
“I- I’m a disaster!” The Brit shrieked. “I can burn water!”
“Impressive,” Lewis mused. “Actually, you two were voted to be the best bets,”
Oscar hummed. “Democracy is a good thing,” He turned back to Lando. “What about it, sweetheart? You up for being a mum to a bunch of pups?”
At that, Lando made a face. “I’m twenty-five,”
“I was younger when Seb left me the mantle of pack omega,” Charles countered. “So, hah. Age isn’t an issue. You just can’t see that you’re a great fit to be a pack mum. You care, you talk about emotions, and you’re not afraid of telling it how it is,”
“Oh, stop it,” The younger omega flushed, red creeping over his entire face.
“He’s not wrong,” Lewis agreed. “You guys are a much better choice than anyone else. It helps you’re mated, as well,”
“Are you saying we’re not good grid parents?” Charles gasped. “Lewis!”
The alpha rolled his eyes. “I miss Seb,”
“We all miss Seb,” Lando grouched, now hiding behind his hands. “Fine. Yes. I can be pack omega. No one compliment me ever again, please,”
“That will not last,” Oscar said immediately. “You-,”
“Okay!” Charles cleared his throat. “I do not want to hear anything else. You guys are the rookie parents. Nice, perfect. I’m sure you’ll do great,”

“So. Hello, children,”
Five pairs of eyes blinked. Then there was outrage.
“We are not children!” Kimi gasped.
“We are just younger than you,” Gabriel agreed. “Don’t get on your high horse,”
Lando grinned. “Alright then. Well, hello rookies,”
“Technically not a rookie,” Ollie called.
Oscar snickered as Lando sighed.
“You guys are okay with us being your pack leaders?” Oscar folded his arms. “We heard you voted for us,”
“We did. Everyone else is old. And I don’t trust Yuki and Pierre with power,” Jack said.
“That’s fair,” Lando conceded. “They would go mad,”
Isack grinned. “So, you guys coming into the nest or what?”
Oscar and Lando looked at each other. Then, back at the five members of their pack.
“You are welcome,” Kimi said cheerfully. “You’re our parents now. You need to get comfortable with us,”
“Alright then,” Lando shuffled into the nest, Oscar following slowly.
There was a bit of shuffling as everyone got comfortable. Oscar nestled against Lando’s back, as Isack and Kimi crawled over to him. Ollie plastered himself against Kimi, with Gabriel lying close to Oscar. Jack manoeuvred himself to lie over Isack, his head resting on Lando’s stomach.
“Is this everyone?” Oscar muttered.
“Paul and Franco join us sometimes,” Jack said.
“I like Paul and Franco,” Kimi chimed in.
Lando snorted. “Got it, okay. Is everyone comfy?”
“Yes, mother,” Ollie chirped.
The older omega blinked. “I-,”
“You liked that, didn’t you,” Oscar teased.
“Fuck off, Osc,”
Their new pack descended into giggles.
