Officer Ross,
You might not have been a huge deal to the story, but you grew to be to me. I'm sorry for doing this to you, but I hope you can understand that there was no other way.
You really did mean a lot to me in the little time we knew each other and the fact that you're gone before I really got to know you makes me really sad. I'm literally mourning you and you're not even a living person, but you'll always hold a place in my heart. You were real to me.
I hope you know how much you meant to Sylvia too. She probably didn't say it enough, but you were more than a partner to her. You were a friend, an ally, a brother, and I know she will forever carry your memory in every step she takes without you by her side.
We'll both miss you so much.
Please rest in peace, my child. You've worked so hard.
