Summary:

When Lena is mad at Kara because she didn´t told her she was Supergirl, Mxyzptlk shows up and brings Lori Luthor Danvers: Kara and Lena´s daughter from the year of 2040.

Notes:

This story takes place during the fifth season of Supergirl, but with a lot of changes in the story. And I´m sorry for the mistakes, I don´t speak english very well and this is the first time I´m writing...

Chapter 1: Lori Luthor Danvers

-Yes, I admit that… I did like Kara, and not just as a friend. – said Lena while talked to Sam, they both sitting in the sofa in Lena´s office.

-But Supergirl…? – Sam asked.

-I wanted to have sex with her. – Lena sighed – I always felt like… one night with Supergirl would be THE night. – Lena thought about all the fantasies she had with Supergirl along the years, but tried so hard to forget.

-Go for it. Tell Kara how you feel. The sex will happen someday.

-No, Sam! I´m mad at her! She lied to me, kept a secret like that for years!

-Not that I’m defending her… But she did that to protect you, Lena. It is dangerous to know who Supergirl is. Not even Kelly knew before you.

-Ok, but I’ve been friends with her for years! And I think I loved her since we met, always trying to flirt with her… Oh Gosh, I’m so stupid!

-Maybe she didn´t tell you because she liked you the most… - not even Sam believed what she was saying, but she wanted to make things better for Lena. She knew that the friendship with Kara was everything to Lena. – Kara is really smart, but she takes a long time to perceive that someone is flirting with her.

-How do you know? You already tried to flirt with Kara?

-No! Of course not! I just remember Lucy telling me.

Oh, Lucy! Of course! Lena was always jealous of Lucy. Thank God she moved back to Metropolis.

-Never mind. – she took a pillow and pressed it against her face – Oh, Sam! I don´t know what to do!

-Take some time to think, you don´t need to make decisions right now.

Sam´s cellphone rang.

-Oh, it´s Ruby. – she got up the couch and Lena did the same – Lena, I have to go pick up Ruby… Will you be fine?

-Sure…

-You can call me anytime you want for anything you need, alright?

-Thanks a lot, Sam. – Lena smiled.

They hugged and Sam went away. Lena got back to her computer and started to work like nothing happened. But she always looked at her picture with Kara thinking if she could forgive – or forget – her.

In the other side of the city, Kara was watching TV in her apartment while thought of Lena.
“Did she really forgive me? I don´t know what I would do without her friendship! Tomorrow I’ll fly to Italy and get her one of those breakfasts she likes!”
Suddenly, she hears knocks in her door and ran to open thinking it was Lena. But it was Myxzptlk and some 14 years old girl. They entered in the apartment.

-What are you doing here, Myxzptlk? And who is this girl, your daughter? – she joked.

-Hello for you too, Kara! This isn´t MY daughter, this is YOUR daughter.

The blonde girl with heterochromia nodded.

-What the hell? I´ve never been pregnant before!

-I know, she wasn’t born this year. She is from the future.

-Then why is she here?

Kara didn’t want to look like she wanted the girl to disappear. But how could she take care of a child in that moment?

-I can´t give you much details about your future. But Lex…

-Lex? Isn’t he dead? – Kara was getting more confused. She needed to lay down.

-You know Lex. Well, he was trying to erase the future or something like this, and you said to bring this girl to the past. So, I chose this past.

-Oh my Gosh. And who is this girl´s father?

-Father? The other mom is Lena Luthor.

Kara felt her heart stop for a moment. She looked at the kid. The girl and Kara were really similar, there were no doubts she was really Kara´s daughter, except for the heterochromia. Lena´s eyes.

-Mxy… How that happened? Lena is just my friend.

 

-I wasn´t supposed to say things about your life, but have you ever seen the way you look at her? Or even the way she looks at you? Supergirl, this is not just friendship!

-You´re being ironic. – Kara rolled her eyes. She couldn´t believe in what was happening. – And two women can’t have a biological kid.

-You know you are not a normal human being. Lena Luthor is smart. She found a way for kryptonians to get woman from Earth pregnant. Just wait and you´ll see.

So, Kara got Lena pregnant… Supergirl started to wonder what would sex with Lena be. She interrupted her thought when she remembered about the girl.

-I´m sorry. What´s your name, darling? – Kara asked the girl-Lori Luthor Danvers. – she said shyly.

-Can you keep her, Kara Zor-el? – Mxyzptlk asked.

-Of course, she is my daughter.

-Alright, I´ll be on my way. – Mxyzptlk disappeared leaving Kara and Lori alone.

-Come on in, kid. I’m sorry if I seemed too hostile. – she closed the door.

-That´s okay, mom. – Kara still felt weird to be called “mom” - It´s hard to get. Is it okay if I call you mom?

-Yeah, you can call me anything you want.

They sat on the couch.

-Tell me about you, Lori… How old are you? What do you like to do? Do you have powers too?

-I´m 14. I enjoy watching movies, cook, study, fly… And yes, I have powers. Aunt Alex trains me in DEO. And can you believe I saved a plane one day?! My first act as a superhero, just like yours.

-You´re really strong and smart, then. – Kara felt pride of her daughter.

-Just like you and mom.

“Just like me and Lena…” Kara thought.

-Are you hungry, Lori?

-No, I´m just a bit tired… I know it´s early but Mxyzptlk kind of tires me…

-I understand. I´ll organize that room for you, just hold on a minute.

Kara, with her superspeed, cleaned the guest room and put on a little decoration for Lori.

-Tomorrow we can go to the mall to get you clothes and stuff.

-Ok. Thanks, mom!

Lori didn´t take a long time to sleep. Kara spent the rest of the night watching romantic lesbian movies while thought of Lena.

Chapter 2: Your daughter too

In the next day, Kara heard knocks on her door again. But she knew who it was.

-Lena! Come on in.

-Hey, Kara. How did you know I was driving in your neighbor?

-I´m Supergirl, remember? – Kara joked and Lena fake laughed.

-Of course, you are.

-Anyway, I went to Italy and bought you breakfast. I know you like it.

-Oh… - Lena was still mad at Kara, but she felt her heart beat harder - Thank you, Kara! You didn´t have to do this.

-But I wanted to.

In that moment, Lori woke up and walked to the kitchen.

-Good morning, mom.

-Hey, Lori. Did you sleep well?

-“Mom”? Kara, since when do you have a daughter? And why didn´t you tell me? I thought we wouldn´t keep secrets from each other anymore. - Lena remembered why she got mad at Kara

-It´s hard to explain… But she came from the future...

-Myxzptlk brought me to this year because our future was kind of being destroyed. – Lori explained.

Lena felt her heart in pieces. If Kara had a daughter, it means that she marries a man in the future and she would never have any chance. The worst: her daughter´s name is a name she really likes…

-Oh… Who is you father, Lori? Mon-el?

-No! Who is this? You didn’t tell her, mom? – She asked Kara.

-Lena, you are the “father”. No, actually, I am, because you were the pregnant one…

-What?! So, this girl was biologically made by two women?

-Yes. – Lori answered that.

-How is that possible... Are you trans, Kara?

-No. Apparently, you developed a way for me to get you pregnant… That´s what Mxyzptlk told me.

-It´s a bit absurd but it´s true, mom.

-Alright… Well, there´s nothing normal in National City anyways.

Lena was freaking out, but trying not to show it in front of her daughter. She also wanted to know more! Lena never imagined herself as a mother. Probably because of Lilian... Or because she was a Lesbian. But, seeing that girl, who had the exact same eyes as her, made her really curious about how she raised a kid.

-Kara, can I take her out to get to know her better?

-Sure, she is your daughter too.

-Ok. – Lena sighed – What about we have lunch today, Lori?

-Sounds great to me.

-I´ll pick you up at 12:00 then, right?

-Right! I´ll be here.

-Lori, I have to work. - Kara warned - Do you want to stay here or go with me?

-Can I stay here?

-Yes, but call me anything you need. – Kara wrote her phone number in a piece of paper and gave it to Lori. – You can use that phone.

Lori nodded.

-Come on, Lena. I´ll fly you to L-corp.

Lena didn´t deny it, she was still mad at Kara, but she loved to fly in her arms. Lena liked the careful way that Kara holds her and loves to feel her biceps. She would be capable of put herself in danger just to Kara carry her in those strong arms.

-Let´s go!

-See you later, Lori. – they said.

Kara also loved to have Lena in her arms. She loved to feel Lena´s body so close to hers and hug her using the excuse of “I can´t let you fall”. Some days, she really wanted to kiss Lena forehead, Lena´s cheek, Lena´s neck… But she never did that, maybe Lena would be uncomfortable. With Lena, she even flied slower so she could spend more time with her.

-Thanks, Kara. – Lena smiled when Kara left her in her office´s balcony.

-Whenever you need, you can call me. - she said and flied away. Lena watched it for a while.

The CEO entered in her office just to find Sam already there.

-What took you so long to come? – the lady asked, but already knew the answer because she saw Kara Coming

-Shut up, I´m your boss. – Lena joked

-Okay, boss… Are you and Kara ok now?

-No, and I am freaking out for something else now…

-Tell me.

-I have a daughter.

-WHAT?

-With Kara.

-WHAT THE HELL? Lena, did you dream about this?

-No, the girl is in Kara´s apartment… She came from the future.

-That´s crazy. And how are you dealing with it?

-I will not deal with it. She will not exist anymore.

-Lena, what are you planning to do? You´re not killing anyone, are you?

-No! I´ll just move to Metropolis, never see Kara again, and that kid will never be born... It will be for the best.

Sam said nothing, just looked back at her paperwork.

-What, Sam?

-I don´t think you should do that. Metropolis won´t be a good place for you. Far from everyone you love...

-I have no one to love here, only you and we can still see each other on the weekends. James Olsen is there too, maybe he´s still into me or something.

-Are you really choosing James Olsen over Kara?

-I am not choosing James over Kara because I never was an option for her! And you will not change my mind! Let´s get back to work because today I´ll have lunch with the kid.

-Oh, the one you´re erasing from the existence?

Lena didn´t answer.

Chapter 3: Lunch

Lena took a cab to Kara´s apartment because her car was still there since she didn´t go to L-Corp with it earlier. The woman knocked on the door and her daughter opened it a second later.

-You´re fast! – Lena said.

-Superspeed.

“So, she has Kara´s powers…” – Lena thought.

-Where do you want to go for lunch, Lori?

-I was thinking in Breadstix. What about you?

-Where is that?

-In front of DEO… Does it already exist?

-No.

-Alright… That one restaurant next to the L-Corp?

-The one who sells Japanese and Arabic food?

-Yes! – Lori smiled and Lena noticed how her smile looked like Kara´s. That´s unfair, she will be the one who will get pregnant but the kid is a mini version of Kara!

-Deal, let´s go. Lena took the car key.

-No, mom. let´s fly!

-No, that´s dangerous.

-You went to working flying with my mother today…

-But Kara is a grown-up woman.

They talked while went down the stairs

-Hey! I´m just fourteen but I already saved a plane.

-Just like Kara… - Lena smiled.

-How long do you love mom? Lena was going to deny. Say she didn´t love Kara. But why should she lie to her own daughter? The daughter she made with Kara!

-Since the year we met.

They entered in Lena´s car.

-Tell me more. – Lori asked.

-Because of Lex, it was complicated to be a “Luthor”. But Kara didn’t care. She didn´t have much doubts of me, she knew I was different from the rest of my family. So, I trusted her and we became friends. I didn´t count I’d fall in love with her.

-You love to tell this story, don´t you? – Lori was smiling at her mother.

-How do you… Oh, of course, you know us.

-And I know you´re mad at mom because of the Supergirl thing.

-Did Kara say something to you? – Lena seemed concerned. She didn´t want to involve Lori in her drama with Kara

-You told me. But not this year.

-What happen with us, Lori? How do I forgive her? How do we get together? Does Kara already love me?

-I can´t tell you about the future, mom.

-But it´s my future, my life...

-Exactly. It´s your life, so you have to live it, not hear what happens from a girl´s perspective. Mxyzptlk told me that.

-That guy knows nothing.

-Oh, he does know a lot of things.

-Alright, Mxyzptlk defender. We´re here. You can ask anything you want.

-Thanks for bringing me to lunch, mom!

-You´re welcome, sweetie.

They had lunch together while talked about their interests. Lena almost forgot that she was mad at Kara, but remembered the lies when saw Kara flying through the window.

-Look at my mom! – Lori said. – I didn´t know she would be so pretty in the past too.

-Kara has always been gorgeous. – Lena remembered the one time that Kara and Alex showed her pictures of when they were young.

-You too, mom. I have the most beautiful moms in the whole universe. And I know more planets than Earth.

-That explains why you´re so pretty, Lori. – Lena tried really hard to smile, but she couldn´t stop thinking about Kara. Seconds later, the girl they were talking about came through the door. Not as Supergirl anymore, as Kara Danvers.

-Hey! Did you guys already have lunch? – she asked.

-Yes! – Lori answered.

-Lori, what do you think about going to the DEO. Kelly is there too, I thought, maybe, I could introduce you to your aunts.

-Sure, great. Can mom go too?

-Of course, it´s an invitation for her too.

-Thanks, Kara and Lori. But I really have to get back to work. I´m also traveling tonight, so I need to pack my bags…

-Where will you go? – Kara asked, thinking this idea of “travelling” a bit weird.

-Metropolis. – Lena trembled when said that. “Do I really wanna stop Lori´s existence” – she thought

-Ok… - Kara said. – Come on, Lori.

The girl got out with Kara. Seconds later, Lena saw two girls flying in the sky, through the window.

-I´m kind of dumb too, I should´ve suspected she´s Supergirl. – Lena said to herself.

Kara and Lori arrived at the DEO and went to see Alex. The woman was doing something in a computer.

-What´s up, Alex. – said Kara.

-Hey, Kara… - she saw Lori when took the eyes off the computer – Who is this girl?

-My daughter. – Kara said with a little smile in her face.

-No, Kara, seriously. – Alex got closer to Kara and Lori – You can´t bring anyone here.

-Aunt Alex, I know it sound crazy, but listen to me…

So, Lori explained the whole story to Alex. Alex made some questions to make sure it wasn´t a lie, but she believed when she finally saw how Lori and Kara were similar.

-Nice… So, who is your father, Lori? Kara never tells me about her dates.

-I don´t have a father. My other mom is Lena.

-Lena Luthor?! – Alex smiled – Oh my God! I knew there was something in the air between those two.

-Alex, I don’t know how that happens, but Lena and I aren´t together.

-But you´ll be. Right, kid? – she said to Lori.

-Yes!

Kara blushed.

-When do they get together?

-I was born in 2026, six years after they got together… So, 2020, this year.

-Oh my Gosh! Finally!

Kara had no reaction. They were in April, so, in less than eight months, she would be dating Lena! She started to think in how this would happen and couldn´t say a word. “Why so fast? Does Lena really like me? Do I actually feel something for her?” – she thought.

-Where is Kelly, Brainy, Nia and J’onn? – she changed the subject, didn’t want to talk or think about Lena anymore.

-They´re in the kitchen, trying to do some weird strawberry dessert. I´ll tell Kelly to come here. – and Alex left the room.

-Are you okay, mom? You acted kinda weird when aunt Alex and I were talking about mom.

-Yes, yeah, I´m fine. Just worried about some… fire that happened today. – Kara lied, didn´t want to show her daughter how she was really feeling.

-Okay… - Lori knew Kara was lying, she could aways tell.

They said nothing more. Then, Alex came with her girlfriend.

-I cannot believe this! Supergirl´s daughter! – Kelly said – Do you have powers too?

-Yes. – Lori burned a paper with her heat vision – See?!

-And Kelly, guess who the other parent is.

-Oh, I don´t know… That Mon-el guy?

-Lena Luthor. – Alex smiled.

-Oh my Gosh! How did that happen? – Kelly was surprised.

-Okay, why don´t we all go to the kitchen so the kid can tell us everything? – Alex suggested and they all agreed.

Everyone went to the kitchen smiling and laughing, except for Kara. She was still a bit thoughtful about the whole Lena thing.

“I should talk to her alone” – Supergirl thought – “I´m doing it tonight, before she goes to Metropolis”

Chapter 4: My brother

Alex and Kelly took Lori to their apartment for a movie. Kara was really happy that they got along.

The superhero flied to France and bought some dinner that she knew Lena would like and flied back to National City. She knocked on Lena´s door, but it was Sam who answered.

-Hey, Kara! Looking for Lena?

-What´s up, Sam! Yeah… Is she here?

-She´s in her room, come here.

The blonde girl entered in the apartment and Sam closed the door.

-I heard you have a daughter now…

-Yes, it was a surprise for me and for Lena… But I didn´t really have the chance to talk to her alone about it yet. Is she busy?

-Nothing that can´t wait. - Sam smiled.

They went to Lena´s bedroom. The woman was putting a lot of clothes in bags and her favorite books weren´t in the shelf anymore.

-Hi, Lena.

-Kara! – the brunette seemed surprised.

-I´ll call Ruby… leave you guys alone for a while. – Sam left as fast as she could.

-What do I own the honor of your visit? – she smiled, but Kara could tell she was faking it.

-I just wanted to bring you dinner and see how you doing… - Kara gave the package to Lena – It´s French, I know you like it.

-Thanks, Kara. You didn´t have to! - she was still faking a smile; Kara was getting annoyed.

-Lena, are you okay? I mean, with all this is stuff with Lori? I know that might be a lot to process.

-Yes, Kara. Lori is a good girl, I got kind of freaked out at first but… the future can change too...

In that moment, Kara understood why Lena was putting too many clothes in her bags and why her favorite books weren´t there.

-You´re moving. – she said her conclusion out loud.

Lena stopped to fake smile. Now, she seemed really mad, like someone who was holding a grudge for months.

-Lena, why are you moving? Do you hate Lori this much?

-No. My daughter can come with me if she wants...

-OUR daughter is not going anywhere. And you owe me an explanation! Why are you moving? Why did you say you would just travel?

-Why do I owe you an explanation, Kara? – she looked at Kara like she could throw kryptonite on her.

-Because you´re my friend, my best friend. Or better, my future wife!

-Maybe, Lori came from a timeline where you didn´t lie to me for years. – Kara knew Lena enough to know she wanted to cry, but she wouldn´t.

-What do you mean?

-Why did you hide from me that you´re Supergirl? Hid for years… My BROTHER knew but I didn´t!

-Lex? When did he tell you that?

-Right before he dies. Or better, right before I kill him. – Lena had tears in her eyes – Right before I kill my brother for you, Kara. For our friends! At first, I didn´t trust him, I thought “That´s not possible! If my Kara was Supergirl, she would tell me!”, but he showed me proofs.

-Lena… - Kara was also crying.

-Don´t you see how hard I trusted you?! Doubting and killing my brother because of YOU! It was worse than disappointing to find out you didn´t trust in me like I USED to trust you!

-Don´t say that… Of course I trust you! You´re the best friend I ever had for years, you know things about me that not even my sister does! I literally trust you to have kryptonite! You´re the smartest person I know, Lena.

Kara tried to get closer. She wanted to hug Lena, to tell her she´d to anything to make her feel better. But the brunette walked away.

-NO! KARA, DON´T YOU UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU DID?

-Lena, please…

-GET OUT! PLEASE! – She cried out loud.

With all the screaming, Sam ran into Lena´s bedroom and called Kara to the living room. Lena stopped screaming.

-I´m sorry, Sam. – Kara cried – I didn´t think Lena would have this reaction. She can´t go! We still have a lot to live together!

-I don´t want her to go either, Kara. I swear I´ll do the possible to keep Lena here.

-Please… I swear, I won´t give up until she agrees to be my friend again.

-Just friend?

-What do you mean?

-Lena loved you, Kara.

The words felt like knives on Kara´s stomach. She had so many questions, but only did one:

-Does she still love me?

Sam sighed.

-I don´t know. But give her some time, if she still loves you, she´ll forgive you.

-I´ll do that. Tell her I´m sorry. And if she needs, I´ll always be here to help.

-I know you will.

Kara got out through the window and flied back home. She cried the whole night and couldn´t even work next day.

In the moment Kara left, Sam ran to Lena´s bedroom. The woman was crying on the floor.

-Lena, come on. – Sam was strong enough to carry her to bed.

-I´m sorry… I had no strength to get up. – her face was all wet because of the tears, and Lena could barely open her eyes.

Sam laid down and hugged her. Lena tried to stop the crying.

-You can cry, Lena. Let yourself feel.

-I have to go… - Lena tried to get up but Sam didn´t let her

-You are not going anywhere I can´t watch you. At least, not for now.

Sam thought Lena would yell at her and say she is a grown-up and she could go anywhere she wants without asking for permission. But she said nothing. She just hid her face in Sam´s shoulders and cried.

When Lena got calmer, Sam said:

-I´m spending the night here with you.

-What about Ruby?

-She´s in a friend’s house.

-You should introduce her to my daughter. I think they would be good friends.

Sam was surprised to hear that.

-Sure. Will you still see her even after the fight with Kara?

-I want to. The lunch we had together made me realize that Lori is like one part of Kara that didn´t hurt me. They´re equal, Sam! Their personalities are the same and she looks exactly like her mother! I can´t live without Kara... But I don´t want to see her!

-Do you still love her, Lena?

-I can´t stop loving her.

-Do you think you can forgive her?

-I don´t think I can. 

-Maybe you should occupy your mind with something else. – Sam suggested.

-What do you suggest? Please, don´t say gym because I used to go with Kara.

-We should actually travel. But together, stay somewhere else for a couple days to free our minds.

-What about work?

-You already work too much, that´s unhealthy! Tomorrow you´ll give me a free day and we will go somewhere nice.

-Whatever. - Lena didn´t want to argue, she just wanted to sleep.

-Great.

-Sam, can you hold me?

-Yeah...

Sam hugged Lena and they slept together. Lena dreamed that Kara was the one holding her and woke up sad when she realized it wasn´t.

Chapter 5: Sick

When Lena and Sam were having breakfast, some strange number called Lena.

-Don´t answer it, Lena. If this is something from work, you´ll change your mind. – Sam said.

-It might be something important. – Lena said while took the phone to answer – Hello?

-Hi, mom… - it was Lori.

-Hey, Lori. Do you need anything?

-Are you busy right now? Mom didn´t get up today, she said she´s sick. I can´t remember the medications she used to take; do you know it?

Lena trembled. Was Kara sick because of the fight they had yesterday?

-What is she feeling, Lori? Can you tell?

-I don´t know! She just can´t get up, saying she´s really weak. My thoughts are: she fought someone really powerful yesterday who took all of her energies.

Did their conversation was this bad for Kara? Lena hoped she wasn´t the cause of it…

-Why do you think this?

-Yesterday, she got home really late and fell on the couch. I woke up at dawn and she was still there, so I took her to bed. She´s still not up!

-I´ll go talk to her right now, just hold on a minute.

-Where are you?

-At my apartment.

-I´ll pick you there. You´re not afraid of flying, are you?

Lena was going to deny. Say that flying was dangerous and she wouldn´t let Lori do that. But she changed her mind when she saw the traffic. It would take a long time to get to Kara´s place and she needed to be there quick.

-Lori, this is the only time I´m letting you fly with me because I´m really worried about your mother, okay?

-Okay! – Lori hung up the phone.

-What happened? – Sam asked.

-Kara is not okay and Lori is worried. I´ll just go there to see what I can do.

-Okay. Be there the whole day, if you need. We can travel some other day.

Lori entered in the apartment flying through the window.

-Hi, mom. Hi aunt Sam.

-Oh my Gosh! You´re literally a mini Kara Danvers!

-Thanks! Is Ruby fine?

-Yes... Are you friends with her in the future?

-Yeah. She´s older than me, but she´s nice.

-You two should go out together.

-It would be great! But now… can we go, mom?

-Sure, Lori. – Lena stood up and her daughter carried her – Sam, I´ll talk to you later.

-Do you want me to go to the office?

-No. Go see Ruby, you already did too much for me.

They smiled at each other and Lori flied with her mother in her arms.

-Slow down, Lori. Kara isn´t this fast…

-Yes, she is. She´s just slower with you because she wants to spend more time with you.

Oh.

Lena couldn´t avoid a smile.

They arrived in Kara´s apartment and Lori led Lena to her mother´s bedroom.

-Can you excuse us, Lori?

-Sure, I was on my way to DEO anyway… - the girl flied through the window again.

-Kara. – the brunette called when entered the room – Come on, you can´t act like this in front of your daughter.

-Lena, please. I just need some time to think.

-You don´t have it! You´re a mother now! Did you know Lori called me today because she was really worried at you?

-This is hard for me, can´t you see?! Suddenly, a… thing from the 5^th dimension comes into me and say that I have to take care of a 14 years old girl because she is my daughter. I have no preparation to be a mother! I´m a journalist AND a superhero! Not just Cat Grant needs me, this city needs me! And now, the other mother of my daughter yells at me and I have no right to freak out!

-You do have the right to freak out. But just don´t do it in front of my daughter.

-OUR daughter. – Kara corrected.

They sttayed in silence for a couple seconds.

-Let Lori live with me. – Lena felt guilty because she said this thinking only about herself. Have “the part of Kara that didn´t hurt her” in her place, would make things easier for her.

-No. – That would be good in other circumstances. But, with Lena being this mad at Kara, the brunette probably would prohibit Lori to see her other mom.

-Weren´t you complaining?

-But she is fine with me, she´ll be better here. And you can go out with her or come visit whenever you want.

-Is she at school already?

-Not yet, I had no time.

-See, Kara? You can´t take care of a teenager right now.

-And can you? Being workaholic as you are, Lori would have no company! With me, she has Alex, Kelly, Nia, Brainy…

-She would have them with me too.

-I don´t think my family and my friends would like to be close to someone who took my daughter away from me.

Lena felt like she would cry. When did she and Kara get to this point?

-Do you really think I would do that?

-You´re mad at me for practically nothing! And I don´t think Lori would be safe living with someone who has kryptonite at home.

-Kara, I will not discuss that with you again. You know what you did. And do you really think I would throw kryptonite on my own daughter?

-Lena, you don´t know how dangerous it is when someone know your secret identity! Besides, you already live in danger because of your last name.

-It isn´t dangerous as it was before and you know why. - Lena remembered her good days with Kara, when they worked together, as Super and Luthor, and reframing the past and the bad name Lex had left for his sister. Now, it felt like a long time ago, a time that wouldn´t come back.

Kara moved and sat right next to Lena. The blonde held the brunette´s hand. Lena felt some relief with Kara´s touch. She was still really mad at her, but couldn´t forget all the good things she felt when she was close or even when she thought of Kara. And thank God she couldn´t.

-I know. And I also know that we need to work in this anger of yours... Lori needs you and I need you, as you can see.

Lena was trying not to cry. She needed Kara too! She wanted to get rid of that anger too but she just couldn´t! She couldn´t comprehend Kara´s reason to hide the her secret, and when she thought about it, she always came to the same conclusion: Kara never trusted her.

-It´s hard... - her voice was tearful.

Kara felt the urge to kiss Lena in the forehead, to lay her down in bed and hug her for hours, to take care of her, to take away her pain. But she didn´t do anything. Just asked:

-Are you still moving?

-No, I wasn´t thinking right... I have to take care of my daughter.

-Our daughter. – Kara corrected.

-Let´s solve this. – Lena stood up

-What?

-Put on your Supergirl suit. We are going to the DEO to talk to Lori and try to get into an agreement about what is the best for her.

Kara did what Lena told her. Seconds later, they were in the sky, flying to the DEO.

For he first time, Lena perceived the way Kara holds her is different. And she DOES fly slower with her.

Chapter 6: Moving

The women arrived to the DEO and Nia was the first person they found.

-Hey, girls! Lena, how long…

-What´s up, Nia! I´ve missed you. We should go out sometime.

-Yeah! I´ve got so much to tell you and so much to ask! Like, you´re a mother now!

-Such a change! But, can we can talk later? We´re looking for Lori.

-She is in the training room with Alex.

-Thank you.

-Are you better, Kara? Lori told us you weren´t fine.

-I´ll be better. Thanks for asking, Nia.

-Come on, Kara. – said Lena, taking Kara by the hand.

The women went to the training room and saw Lori training with her aunt Alex.

-Look how strong and clever she is. - said Kara with a pround smile in her face.

-Just like her mother. - Lena referred to Kara, but the blonde thought she was talking about herself and said nothing.

Lori finished her training when she saw her mothers standing there.

-Am I good, mom? – she asked Kara.

-You´re GREAT, sweetie. – Kara hugged Lori.

-She got mad at me for saying that she´ll be a better hero than you. – Alex joked.

-No one is a better superhero than my mom, aunt Alex.

-You will be, Lori. – Kara said.

-Do you guys want to see me fighting?

-Sure. But can we talk first, Lori? – Lena asked.

-Yeah… Something happened?

-I´ll leave you guys alone. – Alex left the room.

The girls sat on a table in the corner of the training room. Kara and Lena next to each other and Lori in front of them.

-First, I wanted to ask: Are you okay living with me, Lori? – Kara started.

-Why do you ask? Am I causing any trouble?

-No! It´s just that I´m kind of worried that I´m not taking a good care of you. Because when I´m not working, I´m saving the city as Supergirl. I didn´t even have time to put you in a school or to buy clothes with you… So, do you prefer to continue living with me or go live with Lena? I really want you to live with me, but maybe that´s not what you want.

-I´m really fine with you, mom. I understand that this is new for you and you´re still organizing your life... I´m pacient, really.

-If you want to be at my place for a week, then you go to Kara´s, then comeback to mine… I would be nice, because I would really enjoy living with my daughter too. – Lena said.

-Why do I have to choose? Why can´t we three live together in one place?

-Lori, it´s not that easy…

Actually, Kara had already thought of this when Lori arrived. It is good for a kid to have both parents, she almost suggested it to Lena. But, after the fight, the idea didn´t seem really great anymore.

-Why? You two are both single and, in a few years, will be living together anyway. This is not a crazy idea. – Kara and Lena didn´t say anything – Look, what if we try? If it doesn´t work, you can go back to living apart and I´ll decide between you two.

-I don´t know, Lori… - Lena whispered.

-Please, please, please! Just try! I don´t wanna choose only one of you two. And I wouldn´t feel so alone in this timeline if I lived with my two mothers. – Lori sat between her mothers and hugged them – Think about it, okay? I´ll go find aunt Alex and then, I want to know your answers.

Then, the girl got up again and left the room.

-Are you considering it? – Lena asked.

-Could you handle it?

-It isn´t a bad idea, Kara. Of course, it wasn´t what I had in mind... But I could try. 

-It would be good for Lori.

They thought, in silence, for a couple seconds.

-Let´s do it.

-Really? – Kara´s heart beat hard. 

-Yes. But only for Lori. We won´t sleep together or go out as a family, we´re just doing this because it will be good for our daughter.

-Exactly. But there´s one problem: my apartment only has two bedrooms, mine and Lori´s. One of us would have to sleep on the couch, which is not comfortable at all.

-We´re going to stay at my apartment. There are three bedrooms, it´s near the L-corp, the CatCo and there are good schools around.

-Would you really be fine?

-We´re only doing this for our daughter, right? 

Kara almost smiled when heard Lena say “our daughter” instead of “my daughter”

-Yes. And you barely going to see me, I guarantee you.

Lena nodded.

-My place, then?

-Okay by me. Let´s talk to Lori about it.

Kara and Lena left the training room and walked through the hallways looking for their daughter. They found her on the kitchen.

-Weren´t you going to train with Alex?

-I was eating.

-Right. Here´s the thing: your mother and I talked and we decided to try your proposal… - Lena said.

-So… Are we going to live together?

-Yes.

Lori hugged her mothers again.

-I´m so happy! Thanks for doing this, I know that might be a little hard… - Lori said looking at Lena

Kara looked at Lena too. Did she tell Lori about their conflict? That´s not fair, she shouldn´t have involved a kid in this! Kara would talk to Lena about it later.

-We´re going to stay at my place because and bigger and near from everything… Alright?

-Yes. Can we move already?

They would tell Lori to wait. But why? Lori barely had things, and Kara wouldn´t stay there forever. So, she just had to take some of her clothes and personal things. Furniture would already be there. Lena and Kara thought the same thing at the same time, because they just said:

-I don´t see why not.

That was how they spent the rest of the day: taking things to Lena´s apartment, buying clothes for Lori and hiring a professor for her, because it would be hard to explain her origin to a school.

At night, they invited their friends over to drink some wine. Lena almost forgot she was mad at Kara.

When everyone left and Lori slept, Kara went to Lena´s bedroom to ask herthe thing that couldn´t leave her head.

-Come in. – Lena answered after Kara knocked on her door – Oh, hi.

Lena looked really hot wearing a sexy red pajama. Kara did the best she could to not use her x-ray vision and look under those clothes.

-You okay, Kara?

-Yeah, yes… I just wanted to ask you something…

-Ask it. – Lena got up.

-Lori knows about our conflict. Did you tell her about it?

-Why do you think that everything bad that happens is because of me? I didn´t tell her about it! She knows because we told her in the future!

-Oh.

-You still don´t you trust me, Kara? What else do I have to do for you to trust me?

-Of course I trust you, Lena! This has nothing to do with trust, I just thought you told her because someone did tell her, and it wasn´t me. Now I know it´s because the future, okay? You can stop yelling at me now!

-I just got nervous, I´m sorry...

-That´s okay. But let´s not demonstrate these things to Lori.

-I agree with you.

Lena laid in bed again and her tiny shirt showed a bit of her breast. Kara looked really quick and turned her atention to the floor

-Hmm, thanks for letting us stay here. 

-Well, since we share a daughter now, I think it´s fair if we share an apartment too.

-Good night, Lena. 

Kara left the room quick. With Lena dressed like that, she was afraid she could do something she would regret.
