Secrets From the Past

Summary:

Charlotte Emily moves into a college dorm room with Sun and Moon. They don’t know that she’s THE Charlie that died in 1985. She struggles with hiding her secrets but one day a familiar man from her past makes that a bit more difficult.

Sun and Moon are TSAMS versions of themselves and Charlie is the FNAF version. All art used is mine unless stated otherwise

Chapter Text

Charlie enters her new dorm room. She was the first person in there, her roommates not being there yet. She puts her bags near her bed and starts unpacking. She has the normal stuff: clothes, toiletries, sheets, but also some other things like a 3d printed mini music box with a mini puppet in it (like from FNAF 2).

Charlie hears the door open and turns around, assuming her roommates are here. She sees them enter. They look like two polar opposites, the shorter one being very energetic and the taller being more calm and tired. The shorter one speaks.

“Hello roomie! What’s your name?” His voice is very energetic and high-pitched.

Charlie responds in a calm voice. “Charlie. What’s yours?”

“I’m Sun and the grumpy one is Moon!” The shorter one (now known as Sun) responded, smiling. Moon glares at Sun for calling him grumpy but goes to his bed to unpack.

“Sun, get your ass over here and unpack” Moon called out to Sun, not in a harsh way, to get him over. Sun jokingly rolls his eyes and walks to the other side of the dorm and starts unpacking with Moon. Charlie plops down onto her bed and starts scrolling through social media on her phone.

After they are done unpacking, Charlie is watching YouTube with her headphones on and Sun and Moon are watching anime on the TV. Sun gets an idea to get to know each other better.

“Hey, Charlie? What is your major? Moon and I are majoring in child care!” Sun asked Charlie with an excited voice.

“Electronics. They’re really cool and interesting,” Charlie responded to Sun, slightly looking up from her phone while answering before looking back to her phone. Sun smiles and nods before looking back at the anime he is watching.

“Have any friends here?” Moon asks Charlie, not tearing his eyes from the TV.

“6. Their names are Jeramy, Susie, Gabriel, Fritz, Cassidy, and Evan,” Charlie answered. “They also major in some sort of technology.”

“Cool. They nice?” Moon asks a question again, more interested in Charlie’s life.

“Yeah. Cassidy is a bit scary though, but she’s nice when you get to know her, if you forget the time she punched a fish” Charlie responds, somehow keeping a straight face when mentioning that Cassidy punched a fish.

“Why in the world did she punch a fish?” Moon asks, with a confused tone.

“She said it was judging her,” Charlie answers still with a straight face, not tearing her eyes from her phone.

“How the hell did a fish judge her?” Moon questions, super confused. Charlie shrugs, not knowing how Cassidy thought a fish was judging her. Charlie is treating this like something Cassidy does and it wouldn’t be weird for her. Moon looks at Charlie confused about Cassidy punching a fish for no other reason than it was judging her. “Fish can’t even judge people,” Moon continues. “So how was it judging Cassidy apparently?”

Charlie shrugs “Dunno, she thought it was because she said it was staring at her with it’s weird eyes”

“But that’s just how fish’s eyes are!” Moon exclaims while chuckling.

“We told her that and she didn’t believe us until we showed her a picture of a fish” Charlie said while holding back laughter. “She said that all fishes are judging bitches.” Moon can’t hold back his laughter after that comment. He starts laughing his ass off and Charlie starts snickering.

“What’s so funny?” Sun questions, confused because he was focusing on the Anime.

“Cassidy punched a fish because she thought it was judging her!” Moon exclaims between laughter. “She said all fishes are judging bitches!” Sun snickers but doesn’t go into full out laughter like Moon.

“Okay, that is funny,” Sun says before chuckling. He sighs before he and Moon go back to watching anime. Charlie continues watching YouTube and snickers at some funny videos. Moon, not liking the silence, decides to start up another conversation.

“So, do you have a boyfriend?” Moon asks awkwardly.

“Yeah, name’s Evan,” Charlie says, pausing her Youtube video. “He’s really nice and shy.” Moon nods and speaks again.

“Does he treat you well?” Moon quietly asks.

“Yeah. He’s also friends with Cassidy and stopped her from punching a caterpillar,” Looks down at her phone like she just said the most normal thing ever.

“Excuse me, what?” Moon asked bewildered. “She tried to punch a caterpillar?”

“Yeah, it was on her phone.” Charlie said, chuckling, obviously finding humor out of the situation.

“She tried to punch a caterpillar because it was on her phone?” Moon chuckles while saying that. “You have some weird friends.”

“I know. Cassidy is the weirdest though,” Charlie looks back at her phone after saying that and chuckles. “Evan usually is the only person who can stop her from punching everything she doesn’t like.” Moon chuckles at that

“She only punches things she doesn’t like?” Moon asks, knowing the answer but still asking just to keep the conversation going.

“Yep. Which is almost everything. Cassidy is chaos,” Charlie says in between chuckles. Cassidy definitely seems like the chaotic type.

“Are your other friends any better?” Moon says, actually curious this time.

“Yeah,” Charlie states. “Evan is very calm, Susie is just hyper, Jeramy is shy, Gabriel is calm, and Fritz is a bit chaotic but not like Cassidy.” Charlie continues watching YouTube but is still listening to Moon.

“Good, we don’t need multiple chaos balls running around,” Moon jokes, snickering a bit at the end. Charlie nods and smiles at the joke. Sun turns around to talk to them.

“Am I as chaotic as Cassidy?” Sun jokingly asks. Charlie chuckles before answering.

“No, I think Cassidy beat you with chaos.” Charlie chuckles again.

“You should see Sun on caffeine,” Moon says, a slight hint of teasing in his voice.

“Rude! I’m not that bad on caffeine!” Sun retorts, chuckling at their jokeful banter.

“Sun, you tried to climb a wall last time,” Moon replies, chuckling as Sun blushes out of embarrassment and looks down in fake ashame, not having a comeback.

“He what!?” Charlie exclaims, laughing.

“Stop laughing!” Sun mumbles, embarrassed.

“He tried to climb a wall because I gave him my coffee,” Moon tells Charlie, who starts laughing again. Sun’s blush deepens when she laughs and he hides his face in his hands. Charlie and Moon start laughing when they see Sun’s embarrassed face.

“Stop laughing,” Sun mumbles again, trying to get Charlie and Moon to stop laughing, which causes them to laugh more.

“No promises, brother,” Moon says to Sun in between laughter.

“I hate you,” Sun mumbles to Moon. Moon chuckles.

“Love ya’ too Sunny,” Moon teases Sun and Charlie continues laughing. Sun grumbles and turns to the TV to ignore Charlie and Moon. Charlie chuckles again, finding the situation humorous.

Charlie whispers to Moon “Sun looks like a pouty child.”

Moon snickers silently and whispers back “Yeah, he does,” Moon chuckles again. “It’s funny.” Charlie nods in agreement and snickers. Sun glares at them before looking back at the TV, causing Moon and Charlie to chuckle more.

“We should probably decorate so our dorm doesn’t look like a white box,” Charlie says while chuckling at Sun quietly.

Moon nods in agreement. “Yeah, right Sunny?”

Sun groans at the nickname but sighs. “Yeah, we should.”

Moon smiles and gets up to help decorate. They decorate the room with posters, fairy lights, and Charlie draws some pictures for the walls. Once they finish decorating (after about an hour), they plop down on their furniture and sigh, tired but proud of their decorating.

That night, everyone is asleep, except Charlie. Charlie is up at night, deep in thought. She’s thinking about what would happen if Sun and Moon found out that she’s been dead for 53 years, or that she is friends with the Vengeful Spirit, or dating William Afton’s son. She is deep in her own thoughts before she sighs and quietly mubles to herself in order not to wake up her roommates.

“Goodnight Puppet.” Her bracelet glows and blinks in morse code: “--. --- --- -.. / -. .. --. .... - / -.-. .... .- .-. .-.. .. .” before stopping as Charlie goes to sleep.

Notes:

This took way too long X3. The morse code at the end translates to “Good night Charlie” LOOOOOOOORRRRRREEEEE. And sorry if I got the college experience wrong in any chapters, this is all from what I remember my older sister telling me about when she went to college.

This is copy and pasted from my Quotev btw

Chapter Text

Charlie slowly opens her eyes the next day and starts getting ready for her first day of classes. She gets dressed in her overhauls and green t-shirt. Charlie then starts preparing her breakfast for the day. As she is preparing her meal, Sun wakes up and enters the kitchen to prepare his meal.

“Oh, morning Charlie!” Sun states in a tired, but enthusiastic voice. Charlie nods in response.

“Mornin’ Sun,” Charlie mumbles out, still tired as she yawns and takes her toast out of the toaster. She puts some honey on it and puts it on her plate. She starts preparing her coffee for the morning and gives Sun a look that says ‘Don’t you dare’ as a joke about the discussion about Sun on caffeine.

Sun rolls his eyes jokingly in response and grabs a cup of apple juice and a waffle. He goes to his bed and starts eating. Charlie grabs her coffee and adds milk before going to her bed and starting to eat.

Moon slowly wakes up then falls back asleep, his first class being an hour after Charlie’s and Sun’s. Charlie puts on her boots, grabs her supplies, and heads to her math class. She sits down in class as it starts. She takes her notes and draws some doodles at the edges of her papers. She drew some tiny doodles of chibi FNaF characters, like C.C., Puppet, and Cassidy.

Moon and Sun are talking in their dorm about random topics, but also about Charlie. They are both sitting on their beds while talking.

“I think she’s cool!” Sun says to Moon. “She is also a really good artist!”

“Yeah, but something seems…off? About her,” Moon questions.

“What do you mean?” Sun asks.

“She's always wearing that bracelet,” Moon tells Sun. “Ever notice that?”

“Yeah, but a lot of people do that!” Sun answers to Moon. “Even our sister does!”

“Yeah,” Moon adds. “But Terra doesn’t wear her jewelry at night, I saw Charlie go to bed while wearing her bracelet.”

“Okay, that’s kinda weird.” Sun states. “But it could be important to her.”

“True, but she would have said something, right?” Moon asks, a bit unsure.

“Not everyone tells people when they have a special object,” Sun tells Moon, trying to support Charlie. Moon nods and starts messing with his phone, defeated in this mini-argument. (If you would even count it as an argument.)

A few hours later, once everyone is done with their classes for the day, Charlie is doing her homework on her bed, Sun on his bed, and Moon on the couch. Charlie is still doodling while working. Moon notices her doodles.

“Are those chibi FNaF characters?” Moon asks Charlie, just genuinely curious.

“Yeah.” Charlie replies. “Now shut up and let me do my work.” Moon raises his hands in mock surrender. He sits back down and goes back to his work. He silently takes a mental note about Charlie’s art style being more childish, but decides it’s just a choice. He also notices how she always acts more childish for her age.

That night, Charlie finally finished her work at 9 pm. Sun stands up and smiles.

“FINALLY!” He exclaims and pats Charlie’s head.

“Yeah, now sleepy time,” Charlie said, not realizing how childish that sounded.

“Heh, you sound like a little kid,” Sun says while lightly chuckling. “Go get your sleepy time.” Charlie rolls her eyes as she goes to her room to get ready for bed. She puts on her pajamas but keeps her bracelet on like Moon noticed earlier.

That night, Moon notices a faint green blink coming from Charlie’s room in what seems like Morse Code? That can’t be right, he thinks. It blinks: “--. --- --- -.. -. .. --. .... - / -.-. .... .- .-. .-.. --- - - . .-.-.- / .... .- ...- . / .- / --. --- --- -.. / -. .. --. .... - .-.-.-” Moon checks what that translates to on his phone. It translates to “Goodnight Charlotte. Have a good night.” Moon is confused. Who was talking to Charlie in morse code and why did they call her Charlotte?

Moon shakes his head, confused. He has a lot to ask Charlie tomorrow. He lays back down and tries to fall asleep so he could not be a zombie tomorrow. But he can’t. He can’t shake off the feeling that something is off. Charlie is always wearing that bracelet, the morse code blinking from her room, the thing talking to her. What is happening? He decides to check on Charlie.

Moon walks into Charlie’s room, careful not to wake her up. He sees her sleeping under her striped blankets, her green bracelet still on her wrist. He lightly grabs it off her wrist and notices the small amount of weight to it. He takes a look at the inside of it and notices an engraving that can be identified as a symbol of Henry Emily. How did she have this? He died in the fire at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza Place in the mid 2020s. Something isn’t right here. He takes a closer look and notices it’s a bracelet used in 1985 at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria as security. That’s weird. That was over 50 years ago, and that place burned down.

Moon quickly leaves her room after putting her bracelet back on her wrist. He goes to his bed and thinks. How did she have a bracelet from 1985? Something then clicks. Only one green security bracelet was ever made by Henry, the one for his daughter, who went missing in 1985. How did she have that? Wait, didn’t the morse code blinking call Charlie Charlotte? Shit. This can’t be good.

The next day, Sun notices Moon is more anxious.

“What’s wrong moony?” Sun asks.

“It’s about Charlie.” Moon says to sun.

Chapter Text

Sun’s eyes widen as Moon says that. “What!? What do you mean it’s about Charlie? What about her!?”

“Don’t tell her I said this,” Moon tells Sun, who nods. Sun has an attitude that shows he will definitely tell Charlie but Moon doesn’t notice, too scared about what he learned about Charlie. “I think… She's Charlotte Emily.”

“WHAT!? BUT CHARLOTTE IS MISSING AND PROBABLY DEAD BY NOW!” Sun exclaims, almost yelling. They hear shuffling in Charlie’s room and Sun mouths to Moon “Sorry.” Moon nods in silent response. Charlie leaves her room, tired.

“Why were you yelling, Sun?” Charlie asks, she obviously heard the entire conversation but is trying to hide it under a tire façade.

Sun looks nervous before blurting out despite Moon’s protests. “MOON THINKS YOU ARE CHARLOTTE EMILY!”

Charlie’s eyes widen and she looks like she’s hiding something but Sun and Moon are too busy arguing about Sun telling Charlie that.

“Moon, why do you think that?” Charlie questions, some unnoticable shakiness in her voice.

Moon sighs and explains what he saw last night. “I noticed some blinking coming from your room last night,” he stops before continuing. “And it was calling you Charlotte in morse code. I looked at your bracelet and noticed it was made by Henry Emily for his daughter.” Moon finishes explaining and Charlie looks like he was right but Moon doesn’t notice.

“My bracelet is just a bracelet. It isn’t anything special,” Charlie says. “And both of those people died.” Moon realizes the error in his thinking.

“Yeah, and ghosts aren’t real.” Moon silently assures himself, but not believing it, feeling something off about her. Sun sits down and Moon sits next to him, unsure about Charlie.

Charlie goes into her room and whispers to herself. “Puppet, you have to be more careful, they almost found out and I’ve only been here for two days.” Her bracelet blinks again, but more faint so Moon doesn’t see. ... --- .-. .-. -.-- / -.-. .... .- .-. .-.. .. . Charlie sighs, understanding the meaning as “Sorry Charlie”. She nods. “Puppet, to talk to me you can just control my body, it doesn’t have any visual changes.” Her bracelet glows brighter, puppet seemingly excited. “Just don’t make it too obvious.” Charlie tells Puppet teasingly.

Her bracelet glows brighter and Charlie nods, letting Puppet take control. Her room has a faint green glow and Puppet takes control of her body. The glow stops as Puppet (but looks and sounds like Charlie) takes a look at themself. They feel the fabric and mumbles to themself.

“This is cool.” They look in the mirror and notice that Charlie’s outfit has a lot of similarities to their animatronic body. It has a black and white striped choker and arm warmers. “Super cool.”

Puppet continues looking at themself, keeping the bracelet on to not alert Sun and Moon about the change in control. Later, Puppet leaves Charlie’s room to eat lunch with Sun and Moon, hoping they act enough like Charlie to not make Sun and Moon suspect a thing.

“This is good food, Moony!” Sun exclaims, even though it’s just boxed mac-n-cheese.

“It’s just Mac-n-cheese, Sun.” Moon tells Sun, Puppet nods in agreement.

“It is good Mac-n-cheese though,” Puppet adds, trying to act like Charlie. Sun chuckles and nods, later they start having small talk about their favorite game, FNaF. They know it’s Charlie’s favorite game because of her Puppet figure on her bedside table.

“Who’s your favorite FNaF character, Charlie?” Sun asks. “Mine’s Golden Freddy!”

“The Marionette's mine,” Puppet said, trying to act like Charlie.

“Afton.” Moon says. Puppet looks at him out of the corner of their eye, judging him.

“Why? He’s a child murderer.” Puppet tells Moon, trying to stay calm.

“It’s fiction, and I like his story line.” Moon shrugs.

“Moony, you do know that the games are based on true stories, right?” Sun asks.

“That’s just rumors.” Moon says. “The kids just went missing, they didn’t actually die.”

Puppet leaves the room with the excuse of homework and sits on their bed. They don’t know how someone can’t know how so many lives were ended all those years ago! How does he not get that? Puppet closes their eyes and lets Charlie have control again, telling her subconsciously about what Moon said.

That makes Charlie furious. “How does he not know about the innocent lives taken!? He knows I’m dead but thinks that the game’s depiction of William is fake!?” Charlie exclaims to herself, trying to not alert Moon of her thoughts. She holds onto her own arms, which are covered in scars from the incident under her arm warmers, and lets out quiet tears, remembering that fateful day. She remembers everything. The fear she felt while locked out, the pain from being stabbed, even waking up as Puppet. She continues letting out quiet tears as a familiar ghost friend enters her room (by teleporting.)

“Char char?” Evan asks Charlie, who looks up at him and wipes her tears from her eyes.

“Evan, you can’t be here. My roommates don’t know that we’re ghosts.” Charlie tells Evan, still having silent tears.

“Cass told me to check on you,” Evan says. “But I'll leave if you tell me why you’re crying.” Charlie looks down and snuggles closer to Evan for physical comfort.

“My roommate, Moon, doesn’t believe we died. He thinks we just went missing but the actual deaths are rumors.” Charlie quietly says, sniffling. Evan nods and pats her head.

“It’s okay, Char Char.” Evan assures Charlie. “I’ll leave now so they don’t see me.” Evan then lightly kisses the top of her head before teleporting away. Charlie sits there for a few minutes before starting her homework while listening to Puppet’s Music Box theme so if Sun or Moon enters they don’t know she’s lying about going into her room for homework.

That night, while Sun is asleep, Moon notices Charlie still has the lights on in her room. Moon enters slowly and sees Charlie drawing chibi drawings of the Missing Children from FNaF. He notices how Charlotte’s drawing looks almost the same as Charlie (other than the chibi art style.) Moon’s thoughts go back to earlier when he thought Charlie was Charlotte Emily. He wonders about her reaction to him saying the kids just went missing, not died. He wonders why she had that reaction to him saying that.

He notices her green bracelet glow. She then nods and mutters something before the bracelet glows brighter. She continues drawing but her style has gotten more stiff, like a robot is drawing. It still looks childish but the lines are more perfect. Moon now knows that Charlie is definitely hiding something.

Moon starts to leave but he hears Charlie (now Puppet but he doesn’t know that shh) mutter something under their breath.

“Why doesn’t he believe us?” Moon hears Puppet quietly ask themself. Us? What does Charlie mean by “us”? Moon silently wonders. He stays in Charlie’s room, hidden from her sight.

“He knows what happened, so why doesn’t he believe it?” Puppet mumbles again, some tears coming from their eyes. Moon is now more confused. Right before he leaves he sees something appear next to Charlie. A ghost!?

It touches Puppet’s shoulder, who looks up at the person.

“Hi Cass,” Puppet mumbles to the thing.

“Hi Charlie,” Cassidy says to them.

“Puppet, right now we’re Puppet.” Puppet tells Cassidy. Moon is confused, what does Charlie mean she’s Puppet?

“Oh, well then hi Puppet,” Cassidy says to Puppet. “And call me Cass one more time and you’ll regret it.” Cassidy’s eyes turn black for a second when she says that. Puppet nods, scared of what Cassidy is implying. Moon is also concerned and tries to leave but Cassidy teleports to Moon right before he can leave.

“And who are you?” Cassidy asks, her voice sounding stern and slightly scary.

“Cassidy, let him go,” Puppet says. “He’s one of our roommates.”

Cassidy rolls her eyes and drags Moon towards Puppet before shoving him towards the bed.

“Why were you making my friend cry?” Cassidy asks Moon, her eyes flickering black as she says that, obviously mad.

“Cassidy! He doesn’t know about that yet!” Puppet says to Cassidy as Moon backs in fear. “He doesn’t know about the MCI!”

“He does, but now he knows the truth.” Cassidy sternly says as she shoves Moon again, her eyes now full black. “Now answer my question, dipshit. Why were you making my friend cry?”

Moon backs away more before answering, stuttering. “I didn’t mean to! I swear!” Cassidy seemingly isn’t satisfied by that answer, as her eyes darken.

“Tell. Me. NOW.”

“Okay!” Moon exclaims, terrified. “I just thought that FNaF is all fiction and she got sad!”

“Of course they did, bitch!” Cassidy insults again. “That hell was real and we had to pay for it!” Moon’s eyes widen at that, not knowing that previously.

“Don’t tell anyone,” Puppet says, quietly. Moon nods before running away from Cassidy. He goes to his room, out of breath from fear. He can hear an argument between Puppet and Cassidy from their room.

“Cassidy! You didn’t have to scare him!” Puppet says. “He didn’t know any better!”

“But he made Charlie cry! He made your best friend cry!” Cassidy responds with a more angry tone in her voice. “He should’ve known better! Everyone knows what hell happened to us!”

Moon blocks out the rest of their argument, feeling guilty for making Charlie cry and scared of Cassidy. He sits there and once he hears the argument end, he knows Cassidy left. He sees the green light from Charlie’s room, knowing that Charlie is back in control of her body. He tries to go back to sleep and forget everything from that day, remembering Puppet’s warning to not tell anyone.

The next day, Charlie stays in her room except to use the bathroom, go to class, and get food. Sun starts getting concerned about Charlie’s mental health. He knocks on her door.

“Can I come in, Charlie?” Sun asks in a calming voice, not wanting to unintentionally scare her.

“Yeah,” Charlie answers in a small, quiet voice. Very different from her normal, cheerful voice. Sun slowly enters her room and sees Charlie sitting on her bed, doodling in a sketchbook. She is drawing in a different style than normal, less chibi but still cartoonish. Sun can’t tell what she’s drawing.

“Are you okay?” Sun asks Charlie, trying to maintain a calm voice despite how worried he is. “You’ve been acting differently today, more isolated.”

“I’m fine, Sun. Just not in the mood right now.” She answers, obviously lying. Sun looks at her, trying to figure out why she is lying and what she’s hiding.

“You sure? You don’t seem fine.” Sun sounds more concerned now.

“I said I’m fine!” Charlie snaps at Sun, making him back away slightly. “Sorry, didn’t mean to snap.”

“Okay, it’s fine.” Sun assures her. “But are you sure you’re fine? You seem more distanced from us than normal.”

“I’m sure, Sun,” Charlie assures Sun. As he begins to leave, he can finally tell what she’s drawing. It looks like Henry Emily. How does she know him? Sun shrugs it off as a FNaF fan drawing and leaves her room, leaving Charlie alone to her thoughts yet again.

As the day progresses, Charlie continues to isolate herself from her roommates. Moon knows exactly why but doesn’t tell Sun, scared of what Cassidy will do to him if he does. Sun is pacing around the dorm, worried sick about Charlie.

“Moony, should we text her boyfriend to come over and talk to her?” Sun asks in a concerned voice.

“Why would we do that?” He questions.

“Charlie won’t tell either of us what’s wrong and it’s starting to make me worried.” Sun continues. “And she did give us her friend’s numbers in case of emergencies, remember?” Moon sighs and nods, Letting Sun message Evan.

Sun picks up his phone and starts messaging Evan.

Sun: Evan? Can you come here?

Why? :Evan

Sun: Charlie won’t talk to us and it’s worrying me

I’ll be there soon :Evan

Sun sighs and puts his phone down before sitting on the couch. Moon sits next to his brother and waits for Evan to knock on the door. A few minutes pass before they hear knocking at the door. Sun opens it and smiles down at Evan, not knowing that he was there earlier as a ghost.

“Hi Evan!” Sun says, trying to stay calm. “Charlie is in her room!”

“Okay!” Evan says, calm but obviously nervous. He goes into Charlie’s room and Sun sits down on the couch next to Moon waiting for Evan to finish. Moon looks up at Evan as he enters Charlie’s room and notices a small Fredbear plush poking out of the top of Evan’s bag.

Moon chuckles lightly and mutters “He’s like a child.” Sun hears that and looks confused.

“What do you mean?” Sun asks Moon.

“He has a plush in his bag, it’s cute.” Moon responds, making sure Sun knows he is not trying to be rude. Sun smiles at that and nods.

“Yeah,” Sun smiles again as he says that. “I wonder if it’s a childhood toy of his.” Moon nods, agreeing with Sun.

About an hour later, Evan leaves Charlie’s room and tells Sun and Moon what happened.

“She didn’t tell me,” Evan quietly states. Sun looks down as Evan continues. “But, at least we know that something is wrong, since she never acts like that.” Moon nods as Evan says his goodbyes and leaves their dorm room.

Charlie is in her room, happy that Evan didn’t tell Sun and Moon about what happened the night before and that Moon didn’t tell Sun about Cassidy. She is still worried about what happened and doesn’t trust Moon after his comment about the MCI being ‘fake’. Sun continues to be worried about Charlie but Moon tries to get him to calm down.

That night, Moon gets the weird feeling of being watched. He turns around and sees the familiar creepy face of Cassidy. He jumps back from her, still scared after what happened earlier.

“Oh, he’s still scared of me, how cute,” Cassidy teases as she looks down at Moon.

“Why are you here?” Moon asks, stuttering from the fear.

“Just making sure you remember not to tell Sun about what happened,” Cassidy says before deciding to add something. “Or I’ll make you regret it.” Moon nods in response, too scared to form words. Cassidy chuckles at his reaction and disappears, leaving only the fear in Moon.

Sun wakes up from Moon’s hyperventilating. He looks at Moon and is confused.

“Moony?” Sun asks, worried and confused. “Are you okay?” Moon nods.

“Yeah, just a nightmare.” He lies, but Sun sees through it.

“Moon, I’m your brother. I know when you’re lying.” Moon looks down in defeat, still terrified from the encounter with Cassidy but calming down. “So what actually happened?” Sun asks again.

“I’m not allowed to tell you,” Moon quietly states.

“Why?” Sun questions.

“If I do, she’ll find out.” Moon says in response.

“She? Who’s she?” Sun asks, getting more confused by the second.

“I’m not allowed to say.” Moon says again.

“What will she do if you do?” Sun asks again, wanting an answer.

“She said she’ll make me regret it.” Moon says. Cassidy’s intentions with that statement are clear. Sun’s eyes widen and he understands why Moon is so scared.

“Does Charlie know her by any chance?” Sun hesitantly asks. Moon thinks for a bit if he’s allowed to say. Hesitantly, Moon nods his head. Sun looks shocked and scared. He looks at Moon and notices how scared he is. “I won’t tell Charlie. We don’t know if this person also threatened her to stay silent.” Sun tells Moon who nods. Moon is obviously still terrified of what Cassidy might do to him.

The next day, Charlie finally leaves her room to talk to Sun.

“Hey Sun?” Charlie asks, still acting different than usual but at least she’s talking again.

“Yeah?” Sun responds.

“Can one of my friends come over?” Charlie asks.

“Sure!” Sun excitedly responds, happy to meet one of her friends. “Which one?”

“Cassidy,” Charlie says. “She wants to meet you guys.” Sun smiles, not knowing that Cassidy is the one scaring Moon. Moon heard this and tries to hide his fear, hoping that Cassidy will be a bit more kind when in front of Sun. Charlie messages Cassidy, letting her know that she is free to come over.

Chapter Text

Charlie opens the door and lets Cassidy in at around 10 am. Moon is hiding in his room, terrified after what happened last night. Sun runs up to Cassidy, excited to meet her.

“Hi!” Sun exclaims. “I’m Sun!”

“Sup.” Cassidy says. “Name’s Cassidy.”

“Nice to meet you!” Sun says excitedly. “Can I call you Cass?”

“No.” She states bluntly. Sun nods and smiles, hiding his disappointment, and mild confusion at her blunt answer.

“I’ll get Moony!” Sun states before going to drag Moon out of his room to meet Cassidy, unaware that Cassidy was the person scaring Moon. Charlie pats Cassidy’s black hair and Cassidy slaps her hand away.

“Feisty today.” Charlie teases while waiting for Moon.

“When am I not?” Cassidy responds, fixing her hair. Charlie rolls her eyes in response, knowing that she’s right. Moon reluctantly gets dragged out of his room by Sun. Moon sees Cassidy and notices that she’s more calm than earlier, still looks a bit creepy, but calm. ‘Is that how she actually acts?’ Moon wonders to himself.

“Hi, Cassidy.” Moon says, trying to hide his fear.

“Sup.” Cassidy responds, not showing any hint of acting like she did just last night. Cassidy sits on the couch next to Charlie. Sun sits on the other side of Cassidy, excited to meet her. Moon sits on the chair, scrolling on his phone but keeping an eye on Cassidy, terrified of what she could do.

Later they decide to play Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, forgetting the chaos that game causes. Moon, Charlie, and Cassidy are playing since they don’t have enough controllers for all four of them to play.

By the final race of the Grand Prix, Moon was in first, Charlie in third, and Cassidy in second, excluding the CPUs. They start the final race of the Grand Prix: Rainbow Road. Cassidy keeps falling off the edge and ends up getting last on that race. The final rankings, excluding the CPUs, was Moon in first, Charlie in second, and Cassidy third. Including the CPUs, Cassidy’s in eighth place.

“I will kill you!” She exlaims, Sun assumes she’s joking but Charlie and Moon know she’s not.

“Cassidy, chill.” Charlie says, trying to seem like she’s joking so Sun and Moon don’t catch on. “It’s just a game.” Cassidy rolls her eyes and continues playing. The next few races Cassidy wins, but she loses again. Cassidy throws her controller at Moon but he dodges.

“Cassidy!” Charlie exclaims. Moon gives Cassidy back her controller, terrified of what might happen. Cassidy rolls her eyes before creepily smiling at Moon. Moon quickly looks away.

“What? He beat me at Mario Kart,” Cassidy replies. She sounds agitated still.

“That doesn’t mean you attack him!” Charlie exclaims. Cassidy rolls her eyes, not seeming to care.

“You act like our nephew, Jack, but less protective,” Sun lightly chuckles under his breath after saying that.

“Yeah,” Moon agrees before mumbling under his breath so Cassidy doesn’t hear “Jack is better.”

“Moony!” Sun exclaims, hearing what Moon said. “Don’t say that in front of Charlie’s friend!” Moon raises his hands in surrender, not wanting to make his brother annoyed. Sun smiles and nods.

“Rematch!” Cassidy says, being a bit of a sore loser.

“Well you might want to get the controller you threw at Moon.” Charlie teases. Cassidy glares at her, not liking the tease as she gets the controller she threw at him. Charlie looks at Moon. “You up to a rematch?”

“I guess,” Moon shrugs, trying to look indifferent but is terrified of what’ll happen if he says no to Cassidy. “Let’s see how this goes.” Cassidy sits back next to Charlie after grabbing her controller.

“I’m gonna sit out this round,” Charlie says, looking at Sun. “You can play instead.”

“Thank you!” Sun smiles, grabbing the controller from Charlie. He chooses his character and gets ready to play. Cassidy gets prepared, focusing as much as possible. Moon is trying not to be scared of Cassidy when a thought enters his mind: What if I throw the game? He knows if he throws the game, Cassidy will win and hopefully not be pissed at him again. He decides to throw the game out of fear of Cassidy.

The next round Moon throws the game. Sun notices but doesn’t comment on it. At the end, Cassidy won out of them, but she knows something’s up.

“You threw the game,” Cassidy bluntly states. “You magically become the worst Mario Kart player I’ve seen and I’m supposed to assume you aren’t throwing it?”

“Um, yeah?” Moon says in response.

“Bullshit,” she insults.

“Okay, okay! I threw it!” He exclaims, knowing that Cassidy is getting mad. “Of course I threw it after you threw  your controller at my face!”

“Rematch!” she grumbles. “But this time you don’t throw it!” Moon nods and grabs his controller, sighing since he knows they’ll be stuck here a while.

After a few hours of playing, Cassidy finally wins a round. She is very excited when she won, obviously. Moon lets out a breath he was holding, no longer as worried since she finally won and probably won’t hurt him. Now that they’re finally done playing, Charlie puts some pizza rolls in the microwave for lunch. Sun decides to start up a conversation with Cassidy to get to know her more while Charlie is gone.

“So, what do you major in?” He asks.

“Cybersecurity,” she responds, not looking up from her phone.

“Ooh! That’s cool!” He eagerly responds. She nods an answer, not really caring. Sun awkwardly chuckles, not knowing how to continue this conversation without Cassidy not caring or giving short answers. Thankfully, Charlie comes back with the pizza rolls, removing the need for awkward conversation for now.

“Moon! Lunch is ready!” Charlie calls out.

“Coming,” Moon begrudgingly responds, not wanting to be near Cassidy again. He comes out of his room and sits in the chair, as far away from Cassidy as possible. Charlie hands everyone their pizza rolls and sits next to Cassidy.

“Ready for classes to start tomorrow?” Sun asks as a general question.

“Yeah, I guess.” Moon mumbles out in between bites. Cassidy shrugs a response, preoccupied with eating her food.

“Yeah!” Charlie says, trying to make this situation slightly less awkward.

“Well I know I am!” Sun exclaims with his usual cheeriness. “Can’t wait to be able to work with the kids!”

“Yeah,” Moon quietly agrees. “That’ll be nice.” Sun smiles as Moon answers.

“Can’t wait for whatever the hell I do in cybersecurity.” Cassidy replies sarcastically, even though she is slightly excited to start learning it.

Charlie ruffles Cassidy’s hair which causes Cassidy to slap her hand away before giving her a look that says don’t you dare do that. Charlie chuckles a bit and nods, holding back giggles from Cassidy’s attitude when people touch her hair. Sun witnessed the interaction and elbows Moon to get his attention so he can see the interaction between the two girls. Moon chuckles a bit, almost forgetting that this is the same girl who threatened to kill him just a night before. Cassidy glares at Sun and Moon, stopping their chuckles. Cassidy goes back to eating her pizza rolls, the other three following in suit.

After lunch, Cassidy starts playing FNAF UCN on her phone. Sun sees her playing and is impressed.

“Wow!” Sun exclaims. “You’re good at that!”

“Thanks, I guess.” Cassidy responds, too focused on the game to pay attention on what he’s saying.

“No problem!” Sun smiles as he goes back to Moon. “She’s so cool!” Sun tells Moon.

“Yeah, she is.” Moon hesitantly agrees. Sun senses his hesitance.

“Moony? You okay?” Sun asks.

“Yeah, I’m fine.” Moon lies, not wanting to tell Sun about what happened the night before, still scared of what Cassidy will do to him.

“You sure? You don’t sound fine…”

“I’m sure, Sun.”

“Okay, just remember you can tell me anything. I am your brother after all.”

“I know.”

“Okay. I’m gonna go back to Cassidy and Charlie now, okay?”

Moon nods as Sun leaves his room, leaving Moon alone with his thoughts. Why is she here? Moon wonders to himself. She has to be here for a reason, right? I’m not imagining things, right? Moon sighs to himself before realizing something. Charlie was acting like this was a normal occurrence when I saw Cassidy for the first time. Why? She was so creepy and ghost-like… Moon gets snapped out of his thoughts when Charlie calls out to him.

“Moon! Cassidy’s leaving now! Come out here and say bye!”

“Coming!” Moon responds, leaving his room to go say goodbye to Cassidy. He reaches her and sighs. “Bye, Cassidy.”

“Bye bitch.” Cassidy jokingly responds, for once not using bitch as an insult. Charlie ruffles her hair one last time before Cassidy leaves.

The Mario Kart part was somewhat based off of something that happened at my b-day party X3

Chapter Text

Charlie, Sun, Moon, and the others (MCI victims and Evan) are getting ready to go to their first pride parade! Currently, Charlie is struggling to get Cassidy ready.

“C’mon Cassidy,” Charlie giggles. “You have to wear something pride themed.”

“But do I have to be a walking pride flag!?” Cassidy grumbles. “Why can’t I, I don’t know, wear a bow and not make my entire outfit a lesbian flag?”

“Fine, fine.” Charlie replies. “You can wear a bow, but then your hair needs to be down.” Cassidy groans and Charlie laughs before taking Cassidy’s hair out of her pigtails. Cassidy grumbles again but stands still as Charlie puts the bow in, knowing that this is still the best case scenario.

“C’mon girls!” Sun exclaims from a different room.

“We’re almost done, Sunny!” Charlie replies, putting on her arm warmers: a bi colored one on one arm and a nonbinary one on the other. The bi flag is for her, and the nonbinary flag represents Puppet.

“Can I leave now?” Cassidy questions sarcastically. Charlie finishes putting on her arm warmers and nods, leaving the room and going towards Sun, Moon, and the others. Sun is in a gay man t-shirt, Moon has an aroace hat, Evan made his plushie holding a straight ally flag, Fritz also with a straight ally flag, Susie has a lesbian dress, Gabriel has a bi shirt, and Jeremy has pan gloves.

“Ready?” Sun asks excitedly.

“Yeah!” Evan excitedly responds, still quietly though.

“Let’s go!” Sun exclaims before leaving with the others to the pride parade.

They arrive at the pride parade after a few minutes of driving. Sun hops out of the car as the others leave their respective cars. Cassidy’s normal grumpy façade drops as she sees the amount of people there and all of  the flags.

“Woah,” Cassidy quietly says under her breath and Charlie chuckles at her reaction. Evan holds onto his plush, getting a bit overwhelmed by the amount of people. Charlie grabs his hand and gently squeezes it to help him calm down a bit. Evan smiles lightly at her as they start walking into the parade with the others.
