Severus and Hermione finally have time to continue their Viennese “Culture Vulture” program. The State Opera offers a must-see operetta by Johann Strauß jr.
Hermione shows him the tickets, and Severus groans- “Die Fledermaus” [The Bat]. Is everybody out to get him? He scowls extra hard and Hermione barely hides a grin.
They go anyway and Severus almost admits to being very entertained- the subtitles help a lot in that. He even treats Hermione to a glass of Champagne during intermission, keeping the theme. He also wants to kiss her very badly, but in front of all these people?
Hermione gives him a soft smile. No rush.
