The Curiousities of The Pokemon Champion Aya(tan)

Summary:

The Tenno Ayatan was a lot of things that the newly conscious child Aya hopes never to be.

Just a teaser to get the main idea out of my head as I attempt to write a series. This is essentially a first work in a series that will cover the storylines of Paldea, Galar, Kitakami, Blueberry Academy and perhaps even branch out into the Origin System.
Knowledge of Warframe not required.

Work Text:

Ayatan didn't really got along well with other kids. Not in the desensitized world she lived in now and not in her previous world, in the one where she was on the Zariman. She was never an outcast, no, she was too cautious for that. She instead just drifted along with everyone. If they bullied Rell, she stayed silent because she wasn't Rell, and wasn't willing to be him either. If they raided the ship for supplies and left the hostages slumped and hiding, terrified of whatever was in the dark, Ayatan simply followed along.

She was never much of a leader, Ayatan. She helped because it was beneficial for her, she kept the status quo because that was the most comfortable, the most familiar situation to be in.

Aya was different. Aya was born in the Pokemon world, which was substantially safer than the Orokin Empire. It was a world of opportunities, of shallow risks and open arms that would always welcome her home.

Aya never needed to wonder when her next meal would be for long, not with her mother Rina tending to her. She certainly never had to hunt creatures down to eat them, or, worse still, do unspeakable acts just for the merciless survival of it all.

Ayatan… Did. She did all those things. She was a slave, a victim of circumstances, a cannibal, a genocider, a boogeyman, a savior, a myth, a legend… And everything Aya wanted to avoid.

It was a pity, then, that fate rarely asks for her permission.
