Chapter Text
Once upon a time, the Predacons were the most dangerous predators on Cybertron, but they eventually became extinct. Thousands of years later, the Decepticon scientist Shockwave decided to clone the ancient predators using their DNA, which he extracted from their fossilized remains, in order to create an army of super-soldiers.
During the war for Cybertron, a small party of these Predacons was sent to Earth on Megatron's orders to unleash the monsters on the unsuspecting Autobot forces stationed there. After successfully completing their mission, the surviving Predacons discovered the energon deposits and guarded them for centuries, waiting for the return of the Decepticons. However, the wait was too long, and by the time Megatron's team arrived on Earth, the Predacons had already become extinct, but their existence on Earth became the foundation for human myths and legends.
When Shockwave arrived on the Nemesis, he told Megatron that during his years in the Sea of Rust on Cybertron, he had managed to clone a new Predacon. He presented it to the Lord as the perfect hunter for the Autobots.
The Predaking shows the ability to transform, and Shockwave was almost able to create new clones. However, the Autobots blew up the mine with the Predacons.
When the Decepticons captured the Autobot medic and after he completed the Omega Lock, he was thrown to Predaking. When Ratchet explained to Predaking that it was all a setup by the Decepticons, the latter became enraged and fought Megatron, but lost the battle and was thrown outside the Nemesis.
When the Autobots restored Cybertron, Predaking actually clung to one of the Nemesis' wings. When they arrived on Cybertron, Predaking detached from the wing and flew off somewhere on Cybertron.
After defeating Megatron and partially restoring Cybertron, Shockwave created two new Predacons, Skylink and Darksteel, from the fossilized remains that Starscream had delivered to him. The Predacons were mostly busy helping their masters gather new remains, until they came across Ultra Magnus and Smokescreen patrolling the outskirts of Cybertron.
The ferocious Predacons attacked them, and Skylynx severely injured Ultra Magnus, while Darksteel almost burned Smokescreen with his fire. Fortunately, the Autobots managed to escape the monsters. Later, the Autobots found a Predacon graveyard using the trail of spilled energon and discovered Predaking. He initially wanted to attack them, but the former scout explained that they had come not to fight, but to ask for his help in finding the Predacons. Predaking chases them away, as he still holds a grudge against them for destroying his brethren on Earth, but soon sets out to find Skylynx and Darksteel.
Predaking arrives at the location where the Autobots were attacked by the Predacons and finds claw marks. He transforms into a dragon and releases a stream of fire into the sky, signaling for the Predacons to find him. However, instead of the Predacons, Unicron arrives at the beacon in Megatron's body. Predaking attacks him, but loses, and Unicron learns from his thoughts where the remains are. When Unicron resurrects the Predacons and makes them an army of immortal warriors, Predaking finds his brothers
Predaking, who had taken two young Predacons, Darksteel and Skylink, under his wing, had long since left the area where the Autobots were actively rebuilding.
The Cybertronian lizard had even made a small lair on a rocky outcrop.
At the moment, he was sitting on a rocky ledge in his beast mode, observing the two Predacons below. They had a disagreement again and started a fight. With a deep growl, Predaking jumped down to them. The ground shook, causing the smaller Predacons to retreat from each other.
"Stop it." A deep voice with a hint of command was heard through the growl.
Darksteel and Skylinks instantly backed away from each other, throwing a grin at each other. "What else are we going to do? It's boring here." Darksteel muttered, plopping down on the ground and crossing his servos.
"You can get some work done. Find or dig up some energon." Predaking lay down again, curling his legs under him, creating the appearance of a loaf of bread.
"We have nowhere to put him anyway!" — Darksteel transformed into a lizard and curled up into a ball. The plates rose and fell, occasionally releasing wisps of steam.
Predaking said nothing. Energon really was already too much for the three of them. Three of them...
That's right. There are only three of them. And if Predaking wants to restore his reputation as a king, he needs predacons. More than two. He needs a queen...
from side to side, and the lower plate pulled pleasantly. He has a couple of candidates.
Darksteel and Skylinks are out of the question right away, they seem to be more interested in games and frivolity. Irresponsible, in a word.
The only ones Predaking trusted were the Autobot medic, who revealed all of Menatron's executions to him, and the Autobot scout, who was small but agile and once tricked him.
Predaking fluttered his wings and commanded the smaller Prelacons, "Follow me." With that, he soared into the sky, followed by Darksteel and Skylinks.
